Hello Chevy and Speed Champions fans, The 1957 Chevrolet is a car that was introduced by Chevrolet in September 1956 for the 1957 model year. It was available in three series models: the upscale Bel Air, the mid-range Two-Ten, and the One-Fifty. It is a popular and sought after classic car. Its image has been frequently used in toys, graphics, music, movies, and television. The '57 Chevy, as it is often known, is an auto icon. This model is based on one of my favorite Matchbox as a child. Building instructions are available on the following links: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-87788/_TLG_/57-chevy-matchbox-version It is a studless model in the new, 8 studs wide Speed Champions style, and it is an update of my earlier design, because some new parts have become available since the first release which was in 2021, therefore I was able to build a cleaner, less pixelated flame decoration. The use of stickers is minimized to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, therefore only two standard vehicle registration plate stickers are used. My intent was to keep the width-length-height ratio of the real car and this size makes it possible. I wanted to build the model as accurate as possible in this small scale, therefore it contains lots of details: for example the brick built flame decoration, the emblematic front bumper with the vehicle registration plate and front lights, the side view mirrors and the rearview mirror, the tiltable seats etc.. Maybe the most challenging one was the brick built number on the trunk. I tried to fill every unecessary gaps and therefore some tricky build techniques are used. The model has space for two minifigures on the front seats. Here are my latest, Actually completed and posted on the last day of the last year. I am a big child and I wanted to make some cute old-timers, and are there cuter cars than those from the 40's? Anyway, I made toys I could play with when I put my kids off to sleep and so I did. Everything opens and each model's got something extra. For example Fleetmaster Fastback version which is the police vehicle's got guns and a rifle. Coupe version for the Fire Chief's got some fire extinguishers, Sedan version which is the TAXI's got 2 suitcases and the Delivery stretched Ambulance version some medical gear an oxigen tank, water tank with a pipe and a gurney. Hey Guys, Im gonna post my Progress on this Moc in this Topic. So stay tuned! Let´s start with some Specs: Chevrolet C10 1972 Pickup-Truck Suspension: The back Suspension, is pretty rare. Well i have not seen something like this before.. It's like a triangulated link axle Front Suspension is a simple Independent Suspension. The original has a 350cc V8 My moc will Feature: The same suspensions as many original Details as possible RC Here's the original car: Colour is not decided yet.. I made this model a long time ago, and I just figured that I'll share it here too. Features: PF RC driving by 2 XL motors PF RC steering by a servo motor PF RC opening doors by 2 M motors working front PF lights Independent suspensions on all wheels Openable hood Working fake V8 engine The white tubes for the body are not official LEGO parts, I bought them in a local supermarket in the party equipment section. The video shows the old version of the model which did not have the doors motorized and the back slightly different. The pictures with white background are the new version. I wanted to make an old custom truck car hauler based on 1948 COE, my model isn't a replica of any particular truck, I searched some and then I make this one based on several different trucks I saw. it's 9wide'sh and can fit any Speed Champions 8 wild car. The cabin was a huge challenge, to many angles in such a small space, yes it is fragile, but it wasn't built to be played. My intent was to keep the width-length-height ratio of the real car and this size makes it possible. Hello Corvette and Speed Champions fans, the Chevrolet Corvette C4 car, colloquially known as the 'Vette, is a two-door, two-passenger sports car manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet across more than 60 years of production and eight design generations. The fourth-generation was the first complete redesign of the Corvette since 1963 and it is known for its sleek look. It was produced from 1983 to 1996. The model was inspired by one of my favorite Matchbox as a child, the color scheme was inspired by cyberpunk and destopian movies. I wanted to create a sleek model which is as accurate as possible in this small scale. I prefer to minimize the use of stickers to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, and therefore this model include only one standard Lego vehicle registration plate sticker. My intent was to keep the width-length-height ratio of the real car and this size makes it possible. The model contains lots of details: for example the hood decoration, the gray bottom part, the glass hatchback, the side-view mirrors, the tiltable seats etc.. Maybe the most challenging one was the iconic rear side with the vehicle registration plate, here there is a half stud offset. I tried to fill every unnecessary gaps and therefore some tricky build techniques are used. The model has space for two minifigures. I suggest to use small hairs. Without the seats minifigures with bigger hairs can be used too if they are leaned back. Hello Big Lebowski, Corvette and Speed Champions fans, do you remember the hilarious The Big Lebowski scene? Walter Sobchak (Dude's best friend) destroys a brand new, red Chevrolet Corvette C4 (1985) with a crowbar. This car, colloquially known as the 'Vette, is a two-door, two-passenger sports car manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet across more than 60 years of production and eight design generations. The fourth-generation was the first complete redesign of the Corvette since 1963 and it is known for its sleek look. It was produced from 1983 to 1996. An other inspiration came from one of my favorite Matchbox as a child, and that color scheme will be built soon too :). This car could be a nice addition to the set 76903 "Chevrolet Corvette C8.R Race Car and 1968 Chevrolet Corvette". A-Team color scheme is possible too :). Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. It set new sales records with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year. Hello folks! I am building a Chevy Monte Carlo Nascar. This is my first technic MOC on which I will be building bodywork based on a real car. The car will be using: two XL motors, one M motor, two receivers, one LIPO battery box. It will have no gearbox, and it will be based off this picture. Inspired by the Speed Champions cars. Last year I built a car showroom to show them off. Al's Autos is built on 3 large baseplates. On the left baseplate the blue and white sign has doubled sided brick plate writing and rotates on a Technic turntable. The showroom has a roller door entry behind the office on the left. It is fully tiled inside and lit with PF LEDs. On the right baseplate the brown turntable also rotates on a Technic turntable. The footpath is designed to match up to the Modular footpaths. My own creation cars are a Pick Up truck with removable Camper. A Ford GT40 reverse engineered from a LEGO YouTube movie. The black Pontiac is a KITT replica and has a working red LED scanner in the front. Next was a service centre / workshop for the showroom.The back section is a parts department. On the right are two service bays. The front one has a working Technic pneumatic hoist. Also PF LED lighting. The shipping containers can fit a Speed Champions car or spare parts. To keep the cars clean I next built a car wash. This has a working Technic based linear actuator to move the brushes back and forward over the car. So after a long day. It's off to the Drive In movies. The diner has a projection room, kitchen, counter, seating and toilet. My own creation cars are two NYPD police cars with working light bars. A yellow NY taxi. The two Porsche 911's are modified with brick headlights and door handles. The ambulance has working LED light bars, headlights and taillights One day I will get around to doing close up and interior photos. -
LEGO version of a 1963 Chevrolet Impala I choosed for dimensions that would fit in a city lay-out (so not the Joker Lowrider dimensions for example). But that means I had to make some comprimises as I wanted to avoid to end up with a block on wheels. This is my first MOC-car since my childhood. I am happy with the result :D There are some stuff I would have done different if the right bricks existed (or if I had them in my collection) Sorry if the bad background/lighting is a bit disturbing, The perfect room to take pictures is under renovation, so I had to find an alternative, which was not easy given the dark and gloomy days nowadays...

Hi Guys! I finished my new model. I didn't hold on to any real car, but it is similar to the old classic Chevrolet Bell Air / Impala. There's nothing to open, it's just a riding model. Drive / Turn = standard L-Motor / Servo. There is a 1:1 transfer from the L-motor to the differential. photos: FLICKR -
Hello, this is my new creation - '64 Chevrolet Impala! It has several functions: driving by Buggy motor, steering with Servo motor, opening doors and a working steering wheel. It has no differential, so it can drift very well with some tape. All is powered and controlled by BuWizz. Also, Technic guys are a perfect fit for this scale! I made this model in two days or so, so it isn't that detailed, but I tried to make it recognizable. I hope you will like it! :) Video link: Photoes: Thank you! -
I don't really mind stickers in sets too much. Obviously I prefer (and greatly value) prints instead, but stickers make sense to me, especially when introducing 20 new prints would make a Speed Champions set impossibly expensive. What I DON'T like is stickers being used to represent features that could, and should, be brick-built instead. I feel as if the early SC sets were particularly guilty of making headlights, taillights, exhaust pipes, vents, and all sorts of physical details out of stickers instead, and it's a real bummer. However, when stickers are only used to represent a livery or manufacturer branding or whatever, that's perfectly fine and even exciting to me. So, having explained my personal thoughts about stickers in SC sets, I'd like to show off a few of my own MOCs that I have designed custom graphics for. In all of these cars, the graphics are PURELY for liveries and advertisements and such. All physical details are still brick-built and the cars work perfectly fine with no graphics at all. Also, I do in several cases use STAMPS (STickers Across Multiple PartS). I know this is contentious and I personally dislike it in official sets since it makes taking them apart extremely annoying, but I don't typically take apart my own MOCs when they're completed, so I don't mind using such a thing on my own builds. Again, just explaining my process and apologizing in advance if you dislike the idea. First up is my Hoonicorn V1. You can see the complete, non-stickered version of my MOC here. This is a really popular model for Speed Champions MOCers because LEGO built their own version of this to give to Hoonigan Racing's Ken Block (driver of the real car) as a gift, so we all had the same inspiration and template to work from. As a result, many people make sticker sheets to make the LEGO model match the branding on the real car. I decided to do something different and design LEGO-centric in-universe branding to put on the car instead. This thing is full of references to LEGO, which I will detail: HOONIGAN replaced with HOONIKITTY. FORD logo replaced with the classic 1950s LEGO logo, recolored The skull on the roof is replaced with the classic LEGO skull. The crossed bones behind it are from the latest version of the Jolly Roger flag from 21322: Pirates of Barracuda Bay. Monster Energy branding is replaced with Vita RUSH branding, which is LEGO's in-universe sport beverage company (and racing team sponsor). Toyo Tires branding is replaced with Nutrax Tyres, a brand that was advertised on the red car in 8198: Ramp Crash. Smooth Oil and Heavy Cargo are brand advertised on 42041: Race Truck. Spark is advertised on the side of 75884: Ford Mustang Fastback. ENgyne and TOOLS are advertised on the side of ]60218: Desert Rally Racer. The pony badge in the grill is a LEGO horse in profile. I had a lot of fun with that, so I decided to do another. I had built a gasser variant of my '64 Ford Fairlane last year, and it seemed like a natural choice to turn into even more of a show car. This one doesn't really have any special or unique references. I used the Smooth Oil brand again, and I added Octan Racing and "Spin Wear," another racing gear brand from the Racers Tiny Turbos theme. Finally, I wanted to do another gasser to race against that one. The problem is, I hadn't actually BUILT another gasser yet! In fact, I still haven't, but I did finish designing one, at least. Consider this, then, a MOC reveal as well: I made a 1963 Chevy Nova gasser in dark azure, then I made some graphics for it. More simple, this time - less of a show car and more of a serious drag racing machine. Like the Hoonicorn, I filled this one with LEGO references, too. The car's number, 541, is a reference to 5541: Blue Fury. The name "Well Played" is a reference to the origin of the name LEGO, "Leg Godt" = "Play Well." Brick Street Custom is a speed shop from the Tiny Turbos line - 8154: Brick Street Customs The axle company, Cross, is advertised on the legs of 71021-13: Race Car Guy, which itself is a reference: "Cross axle" is the shape of a Technic axle. The other two part companies, "Cams - Red Bird" and "Pistons - Rally," are brands that I made up in reference to the first sets that the cam and piston pieces appeared in: 5591: Mach II Red Bird Rig and 8850: Rally Support Truck, respectively.

Hi to everyone, I want to introduce you my little Mod. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 This is a modification of 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 set. I really liked the original set, but I wanted an all black SS version for myself, so I made it. As soon as I saw the set, I immediately noticed the wrong angle of steering column and corrected it. LEGO keeps releasing 18+ sets with lots of visible parts in bright colors that I never liked. I tried my best to replace these parts with more suitable ones. And of course wide aggressive tires always look better :) I made high resolution instructions which exactly repeats steps numbers from original instructions, so you can easily compare if you want to. Obviously, some steps have a different number and colors of parts. Modifications include: - Steering column with better angle (more realistic) - Detailed door panels - Wide tires for a sportier look - Side markers - Exhaust pipes had to be replaced due to tire width - All visible bright colors are changed to black or dark grey - Tinted windshields, black grille, tiled floor, more realistic cups on wheels - Custom Vector Graphic stickers I made two PDFs (Stickers): A4 size for EU and Letter size for US.
