The Child - Steve's childhood [HUN] Legújabb MOC-om egy másik kihívásra készült eredetileg. Ott nagyon kötött volt az darabszám, így annyira nem volt kidolgozva a MOC, mint ebben az esetben. Persze kompromisszum itt is kellett, hogy beleférjen a 200 darabos limitbe, de úgy gondolom, így is kellően kidolgozott tudott maradni ez az új MOC. Sztoriban csak annyira akartam beilleszteni a mostani kihívásba, hogy "Ő itt Steve gyerekként". Szerintem ennél többet nem is kell elmondani róla, hiszen minden más látszik. [ENG] My latest MOC was originally created for another challenge. There the number of pieces was very limited, so the MOC was not as elaborate as in this case. Of course, I had to compromise to fit the 200 piece limit, but I think I was able to keep this new MOC elaborate enough. In Story, I just wanted to include it in the current challenge as "This is Steve as a kid". I don't think more needs to be said about him than that, as everything else is apparent.

Hello, long time no see? Well, since I have other hobbies too and I was busy with work and such, I had to put on hiatus my Lego city. Now I've fount the time to celebrate in an appropriate way the 20th aniversary of my city diorama. A few years ago I built a second diorama, trains only, put in the attic (since in my apartment there isn't enough space for both). Now, I've moved (temporary) the train diorama and united to the city one, buildg my BIGGEST DIORAMA EVER! 4 sq. meters, 64 baseplates including all the buildingsbuilt so far, and they are all MOCs!

A couple of years ago I made a small vignette with a tumbler jumping off a building, so today I decided to improve the idea with a diorama of the final part of the Tumbler chase from Batman Begins. Batman is trying to save Rachel and jump through the waterfall to enter the Batcave. Finally completed my largest creation to date.This MOC depicts the legendary Medusa defending the temple ruins of Minerva. The build is 20” wide, 30” deep, stands 19.5” tall, and consists of 14619 parts. Medusa herself measure 5' 8" if fully expanded. The spartan warrior and statues posted earlier were created for this diorama. This was a fun creation involving lots of hinge bricks and round end plates to create those curves. The 1x1 tooth parts are turned around 15 degrees off center in order to create that layered look of snake scales. Would love to hear what you think of it. Not one to start small for a few weeks now I've been working on flushing out the Echo Base Hanger display I want to build for my UCS Millennium Falcon. I've been planning this since the set was announced but couldn't really start till I had the set in hand to base everything off. It will be in a glass coffee table I'll be building to display it. The planned layout is currently 47.5" by 41.75" but I may go to 47.5" x 47.5". I'm going to use Stricklybricks 50x50 baseplates with one set getting trimmed down. I'm trying to be as accurate as possible and get all the little details I'm finding as I research that I haven't seen before. This will also display some of the rest of my collection so the ships inside will be a mix besides the Falcon. My 99 X-Wing and probably one of Cehnot's beauties and 4 different official speeder sets spanning the years. I'm using Migui94's Falcon as a placeholder as I work to confirm sizing in addition to the physical test layout I have set up. I see that last week Cehnot also started basically the same project with similar goals but he is going for the whole hanger while I only have room for some of it with size limitation. Can't wait to see his take shape and maybe collaborate on a few elements. I'm building in Stud.io first since I don't have the money to start buying all the bricks and figure it out by physical trial and error. So to get started with where I am at here is an over view of the layout. I have a lot of detailing to do on the walls but I've been waiting till I had the structural strength and sizing dialed in first as I kept tweaking. I originally had 2 full bays but they wouldn't hold an X-Wing so I widened it and also ended up raising them to fit the vents. This top down view with the yellow fence shows the 41" width. and the potential space if I expand to 47". I'm going to curve the wall behind the Falcon some more but I'm not going to go all the way around to keep the sides of the Falcon visible through the sides of the table. This front view of the bay shows the vents in the top of the bays. My current thought was stickers to detail the vents but i will probably revisit them to look ate a brick based option but scale is a limit here. The Cat Walk for the X-Wings is an item that has been done but lacking in detail. I used Enderman eye plates for the side detailing. The current support beam X cross braces are temporary. After much thinking and tinkering I decided to design and print custom pieces to go there. The 3L bar on top will be cut in half to finish the top rail on the ends. I do like Cehnot's top rail better though and may try to rework mine based on his. Some small detail builds I have are the (quite silly) Treadwell 1016 droid briefly seen twice (somehow it gets on top of the Falcon with treads...). I also have a fuel tanker cart seen between the Falcon and the X-Wing. The floor light took days to get the scale right and try to be easily lit from below. The plan it to get vinyl stickers for the sides to cover the trans-clear plates then put an LED under them trough a hole in the baseplate. Not shown here is that the front 1x2 plate is clear while the 2 under the slope grills are trans med blue to get the right light out the back. I have lots more to do but finally felt I had enough to start sharing. Any suggestions on how to improve something are welcome! I will also be overhauling the Falcon itself to be more ESB accurate. Haven't yet decided on adding an interior since it will be in a closed display. -JF140/Cody -
So, my first Diorama turned out a big failure. I had too many ideas for too small a space. I took the entire thing apart (wasn't too much work, just a bit of rock work). Now I want to build something again but I'm afraid I'm going to run in to the same problem. Too many ideas for too small a space. Anyway. I'm trying to make a World of Warcraft inspired moc, not too big. 2x3 48x48 baseplates is the maximum. Preferably Horde. So, if any of you have cool ideas, which are not too challenging to make (so no 1 on 1 replica of Ogrimmar or something) but just a cool looking scene. In the future, if this moc works well, I might do more WoW based stuff, maybe even some Alliance. The reason why I want to make something from WoW, is that I love the game (even though I only played it for the last 2 months orso) and looking on Google not a lot of WoW mocs came up. This is my first Moc after coming out of the Dark Age. I have always loved winter and Christmas and I am very happy to have spent two years building this village; unfortunately the time available is always little and I can put some bricks only a couple of times a month. Finally! I managed to go through literally hundreds of pictures. I have chosen 47 and prepared them for publication here. The diorama you will look at is the biggest thing that I design and build myself ever! It was presented at 3 LEGO exhibitions of my LUG (Zbudujmy to! - Let's Build It!). I was also co-organizer and lecturer on making brickfilms so it was so crazy and busy time. But that's not today's topic. Premiere of the diorama took place at Warsaw, Poland (starting May 25, 2017) at awesome event called Pixel Heaven. Later (from June 1st) - moved to Nadarzyn, Poland where first ever Polish Comic Con took place. And the last exhibition, lasting 3 months, was held at huge Aquapark in Reda, Poland. My LEGO version of the Snow White and the 7 dwarfs cottage (based on Thomas Kinkade depiction). I watched the movie when I was a kid and I vividly remember how I wanted to live in a cottage in the woods after seeing this one! Although I rushed the build a bit, it was fun to build because I haven't build something "castle" for a long time and I wanted to try some new stuff like the roof or the newer shades of greens or play around with the vegetation using odd pieces and parts. Still some things didn't came out as I planned but I wanted to finish this to make room for other projects. Thanks to Markus for coming everyday to my desk and give me some hints and motivation! :D Hope you guys like it! Just like a doll's house

Hi all, this year I expanded my collection of winter village sets buying the winter train station and the winter train, so I realized that I had to make a new diorama to integrate them in my diorama. This is the old one: Now, after a lot of work, I'm happy to present you the new one! I used a lot of pieces building three independent modules to make the structure more resistant and easily transportable. Hope you like it!

For many years I've been a fan of doozy models and have a bunch of them pinned on my Pinterest account! And finally I was able to build one of them: the little charming European Café Shop! Managed to put a lot of details and tried a few techniques that I had in mind for a while but also some new stuff! What’s your favourite detail? Mine is definitely the small chair and the lamps! There’s another celebration again! Today is Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice). It is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael, as an act of obedience to Allah’s (God’s) command. Before he sacrificed his son, God intervened by sending his angel Jibrīl who then put a ram in his son’s place. In commemoration of this, an animal is sacrificed (know more in Wikipedia). As a Muslim, I celebrate it too in real life and in LEGO. The model I’m gonna show to celebrate this occasion is a Minecraft scene with a pen, some animals, a house, and completed with Minecraft style background. Hi all, In June my RLUG, Skockani, had it's first international exhibition. As my main contribution I've decided to make a Ninjago diorama. It contains all of the sets released in the Possession wave, with some other waves mixed in. I'm sorry about the picture quality, these were taken on site, before the visitors were allowed in. I have zero capacity for taking pictures of anything bigger than a set at home, so this is unfortunately as good as it's going to get. I've also written about this creation on my blog which focuses on Ninjago news. Hi guys At first, we want to introduce ourselves: We are three excited Lego builders: Budo, Paliason and Bedo. Each of us has built many of our own MOCs in the past. Before the recent, we decided to do something together. The main condition was to do something untraditional, original and with many details. This is the Lego project, which we will introduce to you now. It is the scene from the PC game Command & Conquer: GENERALS and its expansion ZERO HOUR. Three factions fight against each other: USA, CHINA and GLA. USA: CHINA: GLA: Our common goal is to make a large map of approx. 6.25 square meters and on it the combat scenes of vehicles and the infantry of all three opponents. The map will also include several civilian objects (farm, houses), industrial buildings (Oil derricks) but also large USA base. The model will be dedicated to exhibitions and commemorations of the great PC game C&C: GENERALS, at this year's 15th anniversary of this masterpiece. I thought I'd build up a few models in the series before sharing it on here, but with four instalments so far, I felt it was time. This is my Star Wars Ring-Worlds project, each instalment depicts/will depict a different location in the star wars galaxy with each one confined to the same circular base. And that's about it really, as the title suggests this won't be a series I'll update regularly, rather an ongoing project where I'll build the nest location as and when I fell like it. I've got a few ideas about which planets (or moons ) to do next but if anyone has any suggestions or ideas I'm all ears. But for now at least, I'll end this first post with the first four instalments in the series, Yavin 4, Lah'mu, Naboo and Lothal. Enjoy! Hello everyone. This is my last diorama and the bigger one I've ever made, work started last summer. I've spent about 5 months to build it (included all veichles, buildings etc.), in free time. there are about 25.000 pieces, I don't know exact number and I don't care. Diorama are based on 12 bases 48x48, 5 bases 32x32 and 1 base 16x32, approx 210x120 cm. I hope you enjoy it, please leave a comment and follow me on flickr, there are more pictures. Here is my new MOC. After doing for 5 years with the winter season I wanted something summer! On the first day of Spring, however, this moc came to my mind. I imagined drinking a good coffee sitting at the coffee table at a seaside bar. So I decided to design this moc very different from my usual themes but just as fun to build. The moc is built on four 32x32 bases. As an inspiration I chose the Riviera Ligure where I occasionally make a turn, but all that was invented without relying on real scenes. The four colorful buildings you see in the background are (starting from the left): a bar, a souvenir shop, a grocery store, a florist. At first I wanted to do only the part of the facade and then I decided to make simple interior embellishments (as always) from the back. The cobblestone part is a classic walk through the seaside villages with benches, lanterns, flower beds ... The beach is still not crowded because I imagined a pre-summer period in which there are still few people around. The entire moc was built in 3 months (in time scraps) employing about 5,500 pieces. Hey fellow EBers, I'd like to present my second-ever train MOC, and the one I'm most proud of; a Burlington Northern EMD SD40-2 Burlington Northern EMD SD40-2 by Joshua, on Flickr Here's the engine without the base: EMD SD40-2 without base by Joshua, on Flickr The SD40-2 was introduced in January 1972 as part of EMD's Dash 2 series, competing against the GE U30C and the ALCO Century 630. Although higher-horsepower locomotives were available, including EMD's own SD45-2, the reliability and versatility of the 3,000-horsepower (2,200 kW) SD40-2 made it the best-selling model in EMD's history and the standard of the industry for several decades after its introduction. The SD40-2 was an improvement over the SD40, with modular electronic control systems similar to those of the experimental DDA40X. Peak production of the SD40-2 was in the mid-1970s. Sales of the SD40-2 began to diminish after 1981 due to the oil crisis, increased competition from GE's Dash-7 series and the introduction of the EMD SD50, which was available concurrently to late SD40-2 production. The last SD40-2 delivered to a United States railroad was built in July 1984, with production continuing for railroads in Canada until 1988, Mexico until February 1986, and Brazil until October 1989. As of 2013, nearly all still remain in service. The SD40-2 has seen service in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Guinea. To suit export country specifications, General Motors designed the JT26CW-SS (British Rail Class 59) for Great Britain, the GT26CW-2 for Yugoslavia, South Korea, Iran, Morocco, Peru and Pakistan, while the GT26CU-2 went to Zimbabwe and Brazil. Various customizations led Algeria to receive their version of a SD40-2, known as GT26HCW-2. SD40-2s are still quite usable nearly fifty years after the first SD40 was made, and many SD40s and locomotives from the pre-Dash-2 series (GP/SD 40s, 39s and 38s, and even some SD45s) have been updated to Dash-2 specifications, possibly including downgrading from 20-645E to 16-645E engines, including, certainly, Dash-2 electrical controls, although the pre-Dash-2 frames cannot accommodate the somewhat similar HTC truck in the space allocated to the Flexicoil C truck (the frame is not long enough). Most SD40-2s which remain in service have by now been rebuilt "in-kind" for another 30 to 40 years of service, although a few (under 30) have been rebuilt to incorporate a 12-cylinder EFI-equipped 710G engine. It took almost exactly two years from the first idea to completion of this diorama of a railway station. There is less emphasis on the station itself, as my main goal was to present it in the natural environment and have a try at building a landscape. A railway line running at the foot of the hills, with railway station and adjacent bus stop, bridge and tunnel. Station building in masonry style. Bus stop with shelter Covered bike racks Some maintenance work on underground wiring needs to be done. Functioning railway signal. The photo was deliberately taken with incorrect settings so that the light from signal could better be seen. The entire thing measures 127x77 centimeters, while the estimated brick count is at least 10.000. A few more pictures can be found here.

This is Cathedral. A board game. A long time ago I made a Lego version. Then lately I wondered if I could do it at minifig scale and started building. I haven't nearly completed a full set yet, but I've developed a standard that others might like. This is the basic unit. Baseplate brick and plate, just like the MILS standard. Technic connectors. Then four studs of tiles and jumpers around the outside. I've filled the middle of this one in with more tiles to make a open area. This one has a building added. You can see it is four studs from the edge at the base, but overhangs more as it goes up. Although never outside the footprint of the baseplate. Here is a pair of houses taking up all the space on module. Modules don't have to be rectangles. This inn is on a corner. Of course, the buildings don't have to be connected, here is a pair of houses with a watchtower on one side and a square on the other. The barracks is the biggest building I have so far. I've aimed for solid buildings with no interiors. When set up for a display the emphasis is on the street life and the city as a whole. The modules should be easy enough for anyone to add to make a combined display and can be any size or shape as long as the sides conform to the standard. It makes for a flatish city with narrow streets not big enough for carts, but that's an ok look I think. I've added a whole bunch of street level shots of a display with figs to the Flickr. Hello everybody! Here it is the summer update of my town diorama... this year there aren't many modifications since I've already reached the maximum space available. For this reason I've started to replace some of the buildings on a rotation basis... If you compare these pictures to last year's, you'll see a missing building... Well, said building (a tan house) hasn't gone, but it will replace another one in future, and so on... I've added a 16-wide gap between the department store and the fire station in order to add some variety to the street. Hope you like Not much has changed here... So, here's said gap, and there is a missing building... City park is still there, and, oh, there's a baby! Much space now! Hope to show you more updates in the next weeks!
