My entry for Brickscalibur in the perspective matters-category. The traitor “Many of the guards became witnesses as the captain followed his own cousin over the inner courtyard outside the barracks. Golodhin dropped his sword and fell in his haste to flee his treacherous actions against his kin and brothers in arms.”

Bibliarius Zacharius Glockta is a cleric of the Linorian Institution of Righteous Aspects. Founded during the reign of Lord Bran, the grandfather of the current ruler, Lord Alvin, the institution upholds the traditions of its ancestors. Glockta is one of its most prominent representatives: a champion of righteousness, a scourge of witches and necromancers. But above all, he is a researcher, a scholar, and a chronicler. His scientific treatises are renowned far beyond the borders of Linoria. Traveling across Afoland, he explores uncharted lands, sketches wondrous creatures, and, in the process, burns witches. You know, where to find more photos

When Aron and Widogast (the monster hunter) met in the Golden Crown Inn in Rindael, Widogast made a deal with Aron (who is known to only go after dragons) to hunt a cockatrice, which is best described as a two-legged dragon, wyvern, or serpent-like creature with a rooster's head, so at least part of it was a dragon. "Drinks on me when you bring me a cockatrice head." said Widogast. "Only drinks?" asked Aron. "Well, you may keep the bounty too." replied Widogast "or are you afraid of it?" Aron: "No way, I'll get you that cockatrice head, I am not affraid of some chicken." "Okay, deal, may luck be on your side then." said Widogast jokingly. "Ha, where I'm going I don't need any luck." replied Aron. A cockatrice was recently spotted on the border of Faldia and the Daelen near the Whispering Woods. Aron's preparation included polishing his armor, and putting a special mirror coating on his shield. But when he finally reached the place where the creature was spotted, he couldn't believe his eyes, no report made mentions of the size of the beast. Trampling the fence near the path, the beast almost was the same height of a nearby tree. "That dammed Widogast, he knew the size of that beast, I'm sure of it..." thought Aron. "Well, here I go..." Here's a rundown of what I built for the BioCup 2024. BioCup 2024 R0: Journey to Mars! Journey to Mars by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr "Seven years of astronaut school. Seven more years of travel... And here we are. RING RING RING .... Time to wake up." Built for the preliminary round of the BioCup. Theme: space. For this MOC, I combined the classic Lunar Buggy aesthetic with some modern concept art designs to yield this piece. The astronaut builds on top of a Technic Fig whose arms are swapped out for thicker-looking padded arms. The legs get a similar treatment with metal ingots in white. Merlin the deranged! by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr "Merlin's newfound fascination with alchemy has yielded an array of.... interesting experiments, to say the least." Built for BioCup 2024 R1 Theme: Energy Subtheme: Chemical Building something interesting for this round was a real challenge. I toyed around with various concepts until I stumbled upon my limited collection of light nougat bricks.. and then a face emerged. Slowly over the next few days, I built up Merlin and the rest of the scene, inspired by an alchemical twist on the traditional Dungeons and Dragons evil wizard trope. The whole time I was building, you could hear me sing "Necromancer" by Judas Priest. In fact, this ended up being the theme song of this build, and Merlin was built in the image of Rob Halford, legendary musician and Judas Priest frontman, who's also a native Brummie! The gargoyles at the back came last; they were more of an afterthought that panned out quite well I must admit. Sadly, this MOC didn't make it through the matchup I was in, but I took it to my display at Brick Festival Birmingham the following day (Saturday 22nd of June), where it received widespread critical acclaim.

I decided to take part in the current edition of the Bricklink Designer Program. This means my moc could become an official LEGO set. With my big love for fantasy I’ve built an Orc's Guarded Cottage. LEGO hasn't released anything like it yet and I've wanted to build one for a very long time. Designing this set was quite a challenge. Limited parts (only parts from production in 2025). It was also necessary to create instructions that would have a good building flow and meet a million design and construction requirements. Later your project had to be reviewed by the LEGO Bricklink team. They gave me very positive feedback and allowed my MOC to take part in the competition. So keep your fingers crossed and please vote for it! You need an account on Bricklink and click the "Love it" smiley under the photos. "A dragon will only accept a dragonlord to ride it, or so say the histories." - Rhaenyra Targaryen Introducing my newest MOC: Rhaenyra Targaryen and her son Jacaerys Velaryon in the Dragonstone library, a cavernous hall filled with scrolls and documents dating back to the time of Old Valyria. I love the A Song of Ice and Fire universe and always wanted to create a little display based on it. When watching the current second season of House of the Dragon my attention was immediately grabbed by the exquisite set design of the library in the ancestral Targaryen castle of Dragonstone. The towering scroll-filled shelves with their diagonal diamond-shaped layout were a challenge but I'm very pleased with the result.

I really love DnD, therefore the Red Dragons Keep set was an imediate aquisition for my collection. I like the design of the set with all its details, monsters and DnD references. Since I build it, I have startet to wonder, what that ruined keep might have looked like when it was still intact. So I started to experiment a littlebit in studio. Lego DnD Tower Restoration, auf Flickr I tried to expand on what was already there and use the original design features to complete the keep so far. Iam not quite sure how to proceed. Maybe I am going to finish the tower of with some kind of roof in dark blue.

Here are some of the latest additions to my display collection using recent parts. I use 'recent' quite loosely: some of the parts came out almost a year ago. But when you've been collecting minifigures as an AFOL for 28 years, a year doesn't seem like a long time! Back row from left: carnivorous plant, Krusty the Orange Spaceman Front row from left: Herne the Hunt-Master with hounds, witch, were-cheetah, naga, elderly monk Unusually for me, they are almost entirely purist. Herne's antlers and armour are third party as is his cloak though LEGO does do one in a similar colour I believe. Apologies for the inclusion of Krusty the Orange Spaceman. I realise he's sci-fi, not fantasy. He wasn't supposed to be in the shot. He just floated in unexpectedly. I guess he photobombed me. What can I say? Questions? Comments? Classic spaced out?

Its an artwork for LUG contest. Before I started the building and during the process, I've read a lot of literature about artillery in Middle Ages. It was a weapon that realy inspired fear. Its not the picture of historical war, but conditional battle, showing only an instant of a siege. For presentation I chose triptych style, because its very typical form of art in Middle Ages. I think due to this fact this MOC has more medieval spirit.

Hello and welcome! Here's my latest MOC, in which I experimented with colours currently somewhat defunct in LDD that I attempted to restore. The Axen Octet is a congregation of eight spirits sent forth upon Earth by Sepulchure. The group never parts and accomplishes tasks jointly, materialising out of thin air and disappearing just as swiftly. The characteristic trait shared by all axenocts is a single unblinking eye, roughly level with the shoulders. The Octet always moves in complete silence, communicating through means not known to man. Upon appearance, each spirit takes physical form with is retained until retreat - the form has been reported to consist of metal-like material on the outside, as reported by those lucky enough to overhear or survive a battle. Each axenoct is entrusted with the task of observation, but on specific occasions they bear instructions of carnage and destruction, which is when their axes come to prominent use. The carnages are exactly the reason the Octet - and their axes that brought about the name - are so dreaded by those who know anything about these spirits. Some have linked the instances of their appearance to the passing of the Emissary of Sepulchure, however these rumours remain unconfirmed. The Knight Well-armoured, fast and bearing a heavy axe, this axenoct posesses ram-like capabilities and is often seen at the forefront of an attack formation heading for a fortified target. With a shield to deflect attacks and a pair of bells hanging off its shoulder, the forewarning sound of which alone is enough to intimidate most, the Knight is a force to be reckoned with. The Duke This moderately-armoured axenoct towers above all in height and handles a halberd-like axe that gives it a great range in combat. Another tactical advantage to the Octet stems from the Duke's ability to self-illuminate and effectively blind the enemies, overall making this axenoct an important strategic asset during assaults. Its calm nature also makes it a good observer and, possibly, strategist. The Demon The fiercest of the bunch, this blank-eyed axenoct carries the fearsome double-bladed axe with a handle shaped like a trident, neither of which the Demon is shy to employ. If that was not enough, it carries out its assaults with intense rage, spitting forth bursts of flame and soon turning the area into a towering inferno. The Imp While not as intimidating as its elder "brother", this axenoct bears no good news. Possessing no special abilities and welding only a basic axe, this minion is often sent on mundane tasks to act as support and to carry out minor carnage. Despite its lack of fire mastery, the Imp can occasionally - albeit uncontrollably - release a ball of fire, which on many occasions has been sufficient to start serious fires. The Magus The smallest member of the Octet is not to be overlooked. Although neither its figure, nor its axe suggest the ability to wreak havoc, it is the other end of the axe that is used in deploying energies known and not-so-known to man. A rumour has it that the artifact on this axenoct's right arm has something to do with its abilities, and that it is indeed the Magus who facilitates the sudden appearances and vanishing of the Octet. The Teitan This axenoct's slow speed and somewhat humorous appearance are swiftly wiped out of the enemies' minds with the heaviest of axes dropping on their houses, heads and other kinds of property. Extremely heavy armour and an immeasurably heavy axe that doubles as a shield - and the ability to handle the aforementioned gear - have reaped the Teitan the reputation of a true titan. A lethal opponent in both attack and defense. The Spectre This ghastly axenoct sports a ghost-like appearance, and to the demise of its targets handles the most dreadful weapon among the Octet members - the spectral axe, capable of severing and entrapping living souls. Physical damage can also be dealt with it, albeit to a lesser extent, but its main capability is what makes the targets tremble and run as far as possible before giving the Spectre a chance to hit them. Which is where the chains come in handy... The Wraith This axenoct is the true dread machine that both looks and functions the part. Being of spooky appearance, with the habit of camouflaging itself and then jumping the victim, the Wraith is also the fastest of all axenocts. Before the threat is even realised, the deadly long-hilt axe is sent swinging in every direction faster than an eye can follow, truly making it the perfect device for intimidation and spreading panic. The entire Axen Octet. A rare sight best avoided altogether... Thank you for your attention, and I hope you enjoyed your stay!

Finally! I managed to go through literally hundreds of pictures. I have chosen 47 and prepared them for publication here. The diorama you will look at is the biggest thing that I design and build myself ever! It was presented at 3 LEGO exhibitions of my LUG (Zbudujmy to! - Let's Build It!). I was also co-organizer and lecturer on making brickfilms so it was so crazy and busy time. But that's not today's topic. Premiere of the diorama took place at Warsaw, Poland (starting May 25, 2017) at awesome event called Pixel Heaven. Later (from June 1st) - moved to Nadarzyn, Poland where first ever Polish Comic Con took place. And the last exhibition, lasting 3 months, was held at huge Aquapark in Reda, Poland. The diorama always travelled with printed desc which had lot of interesting infos about it. Below you can find some quick translation of it. Enjoy! My LEGO version of the Snow White and the 7 dwarfs cottage (based on Thomas Kinkade depiction). I watched the movie when I was a kid and I vividly remember how I wanted to live in a cottage in the woods after seeing this one! Although I rushed the build a bit, it was fun to build because I haven't build something "castle" for a long time and I wanted to try some new stuff like the roof or the newer shades of greens or play around with the vegetation using odd pieces and parts. Still some things didn't came out as I planned but I wanted to finish this to make room for other projects. Thanks to Markus for coming everyday to my desk and give me some hints and motivation! :D Hope you guys like it! Just like a doll's house

Hey all! Kyrrath is growing and growing, and there are some ideas to make a trading route from Skarenport to Kyrrath, so from here all goods can be send through the rest of Nocturnus. But to make this work, it has to be kinda safe(for Nocturnus standards... ^^). This isn't easy to get but one of the problems to make a safe route is solved: From now on, there's a new ceremony in Kyrrath: Each Monday someone will be chosen and be fed to Bigteeth. So Bigteeth will have enough food and won't eat much innocents anymore. Normally a Criminal will be chosen(like this week) but when there isn't, there will always be a Mitgardian in between the borders of Kyrrath.... Here are the pics of my build: Here some pics of the background and Bigteeth: I've this build also made for the CCC, category Bring out your Dead. I hope you enjoyed my build and I want to thank you for your attention :) C&C always welcome! Have a nice day! Jaap

Here is a simple and small MOC in a medieval fantasy world (actually inspired by games like Skyrim). The idea is that the heroes return to their home after a long and hard looting :) The build is part of a series of sets I currently plan all related to this medieval fantasy world and with these kind of role playing backgrounds. There is the bed and a small table as well as a fire place on the floor where fish can be cooked. In the chest, there is some of the stuff taken by our heroes.

Hey all! I just completed a new freebuild! (Or, actually i build this for the CCC, but it fits really well in Nocturnus... and I van post it here as well as use it as an entry) It's a haunted Inn, located somewhere in the dangerous deeplands of Nocty... and probably it isn't safe inside the Inn as well... I haven't made a story yet,so you guys will have to do it with the pics for now :) I also made a video about the playable function! Not that high quality, but it shows how well this function works out :) I hope you guys enjoyed my build! C&C welcome! Cheers, jaapxaap

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. Barad-dûr was held together by dark magic and was the greatest fortress in all of Middle-earth. It was originally built in the Second Age and razed after Sauron's defeat in the War of the Last Alliance. Sauron had Barad-dûr rebuilt during the Third Age as he rose back into power, but the tower was forever destroyed immediately following the destruction of the One Ring, as it was constructed and held together using the Ring's dark magic. This project includes 5.364 pieces! In comparison, the 10189 Taj Mahal had 5.922 pieces! Here you can see the size compared to the Lego "The Tower of Orthanc". I think that's the perfect height for the tower, not too small and not too big. Please click on the images, to see them in HD. You can find all images on my Flickr album. It has 9 floors and they are: (ranging from below) : A basement with an old skeleton The Throne room A blacksmith with a door A Palantir Room A prison A kitchen A room with the helmets of the Nazgûl A library with ancient books about witchcraft and dark magic And a chamber with the 9 rings of the Nazgûl The minifigures are: King Elendil with his sword Narsil Isildur with a sword 2 soldiers, one with sword & shield and one with spear & shield 2 elven warriors with spears and shields Gil-galad with his spear Aiglos and blue shield Elrond with his sword Hadhafang 1 orc archer with a shield 1 orc with spear and shield Sauron with the One Ring and his mace A banner carrier with a lash 1 orc with sword and shield @all viewers: Now it's up to you. Vote for my project on lego ideas and make the dream come true. Please also look at my other projects and consider supporting and sharing them with your friends! :D Thank you for your attention.

Hey all! Have you guys ever considered to live your life as a hermit? Probably not, but after reading(and watching) this thread you maybe want.. :) Cause my latest build i just finished is a hermit house, located in Nocturnus, somewhere in the mountains around Kyrrath... Well, Here are the pics: It was pretty fun and challenging to build, and sometimes kinda frustrating :c It actualy is sturdier than it looks it is.... I hope you enjoy this build, and if you have C&C, feel free to post! I really appreciate feedback! Have a nice day! Jaapxaap P.s. If you want to see it in real life, This and other builds will be shown at LegoWorld 2015, in the Netherlands! If you visit please have a talk with me :)
