Here is a Messerschmitt bf109 directly inspired from a real model from WW2. All bricks are genuine Lego. Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr This is a G-6 sub-version as piloted by Gruppenkommandeur Friedrich-Karl "Nasen" Müller". Nasen was a nightfighter pilot who survived the war with over 30 confirmed victories. My model depicts his G-6 from Summer 1944. Here is below a comparison between a real drawing from his fighter and my creation. Btw, the G version was nicknamed Gustav. You may detect 2 differences between the above pictures and the below ones ... answer at the end. Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr I had to make hard choices for the color section but ultimately, I decided to use LBG, DBG, dark green (I would have preferred a dark dark green) and black for the underside. Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6/As by Veynom, on Flickr Decals are custom and come from AIMS for 1/32 scale models, except for the propeller nose where I cut some Lego sticker sheet. Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6/As by Veynom, on Flickr Here are a few shots from the field: Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 by Veynom, on Flickr I had started with the idea of an all black bf109 but as I could not get the corresponding decals for the exact marking, I progressively moved to this camo version. Doing nice camo with bricks remains a challenge, particularly dependant on available colors and shape. But I've hope for the future as TLC just released a part matching perfectly the bf109 nose ... About the 2 differences: The G version has no support for the rear wings ... I had incorrectly mounted 2 antennas like in the E version (Emil). In my final version, I made the canopy longer by 1 stud. The top bars are therefore 5-stud long (from cut hoses), instead of 4. It better match the pictures. The comparative picture still have the 4-stud long canopy. Hope you like it ...

Hi! I'm working on a new cockpit canopy and wonder if this is something people would buy. I've been building fighter jets for many years now. However for a long time the cockpit canopy isn't the best for the different ways it works in reality. Brick 30384 and 92279 So I've been doing a 3d model of them and they have now been printed. Working with a plastic company to get a prototyp. So the pices are made to fit most of the "modern" fighter jet canopy. Like F18, F14 etc. So first you have a shorted 30384 that will remain fixed on the aircraft, like F18. And a extended 92279 by 3 studs that will be the canopy that opens and closes. Another version (not printed) is the F16 version canopy. So my question for you guys are. Is this something of interest? They would be made as close to lego's as possible. 2021 remake! Initially it started as a minor update to fix few issues, most notably weak guns/windshield attachment, but over time scope of the changes grew and grew and grew. Changes: - Cockpit now can has space for the pilot in any type of the helmet, including the grossly oversized one; - Cockpit interior now features new controls layout and few more details; the "bowtie" detail taken almost 1:1 from 20feet's variant, with a slight modificiation to make it match the intended "flow' of the cockpit a bit more to my liking. Big thanks here! - gun and windscreen attachment is redone to be much more solid; though this particular change was already implemented in First Order TIEs; - top dish was replaced to use 4x4 one. This is a bit controversional, but bricklink prices for the 6x6 one are extreme, because they appeared on only one set some time ago. 4x4 is much more popular and so this is a better option for a model which is supposed to be built by other people too. - side struts were redone to resemble original ones a bit more. I had great help here from 20feet who helped me to go through few ideas and find one which is a nice compromise between screen accuracy and fitting rest of the ship's styling. Thanks again! - side struts were made longer, as I made a slight scaling mistake in the original TF. - wing/panels are basically an entirely new build. The shape, which has proven to be a little bit controversional due to being much more rectangular, is more similar to what movie and Rogue Squadrons game TIEs are using. I know it is not 100% perfect and a bit too rectangular, but this particular layout enabled me to use most of 1x2 grille bricks, aside from the slopes. I believe it is a good trade-off and the angle is definitely closer to the original, even if wrong in the other direction now. - I also tried 20feet's vertical stacked bricks idea and it looks great - on black background. It is included in the instructions pack, and is probably the best choice for people who will display the ship against black background. Otherwise, gaps between bricks are quite noticeable. Still - a super interesting idea and one which got implemented! - New wing cores: Hexagonal, finally! Again thanks for 20feet's insistence on making them better! I thought my original idea was good enough but it was worth pushing a bit more! - New color variant! This was Charlie's idea (one of Brickvault leads) and I was skeptical even after building it. Thankfully, he insisted and so, over time, this variant grew on me to the point that I now believe it is the best looking one. It is a bit assymetrical but overall a compromise worth doing! - New universal stand debiuts here, and I intend to use it - in various similar versions - for all future ships in this size. So, yeah. Quite a remake. I apologize for delaying it this much, especially after repeatedly telling people the update is "soon". Sorry. This is the first time since 2019 where I finally was able to get everything right. Since T/F shares almost entire core with the T/I, I redid it too: Interceptor shares most of the changes with the Fighter. Initially I did not want to redo the panels - I thought they were perfect, but, well, yeah. They were not. Having Rogue Squadrons 3d models as the sources enabled me to get proper dimensions finally. Ultimately, the panels simply required lenghtening the back part and making those weird offset guns at the tips. I still believe it is an odd choice, but nonetheless, I tried to replicate it. The red one is a Royal Guard TIE Interceptor and aside from the obvious new racey paint scheme, it also features smaller additions to the wings. I tried to keep the angles same as on the main panels, which was quite a challenge, but eventually it ended up being perfectly possible. At this rate, 3.0 is scheduled for release around 2024. Let's place bets on what will change, and please tell me what's the weakest part of those designs, so I can focus on them in the future! I want to ditch 3x3 dome pieces as they clog up the interior, and this probably will be the focus of 3.0 - if I get some good ideas to try. And who knows, maybe I'll be able to make a perfect T/F wing panel this time? --------------------- Yet another LEGO TIE Fighter. How far can this classic design be pushed? How many ways are there to build an eye sandwitched by hexagonal solar panels? Is there a perfect design already? This is where beauty of LEGO as form of modelling strikes with full power, as answers to these questions are: Very far, infinite ways, and no, there is no perfect design available and never will be. In 2014 I have built this: It worked, and I think for 2014 and what was available back then, it was pretty good. It had obvious flaw though: no space for a minifigure, and it was also a little too small in scale. I was limited mostly by the fact there were no proper cockpit pieces, and my attempt with literally the only other one was... not spectacular, not to mention it needed painting with A LOT patience required. The new model takes advantage of this cockpit piece, which allowed me to push that original 2014 design further. I know, I am late to the party, years - literally - behind other designers of great TIE models, like Bricks Feeder or Rebel Builder, yet I hope I can bring something new into the T/F building scene. Originally I thought I would just stretch the build here and there but no, heheh, no way. Literally the only unchanged parts are the eight quarter (or one-eighter?) dome pieces, which are to me still the only way to have smooth and roughly spherical design without holes all around. Unfortunately when we look at a closeup of a real movie-filming model of the T/F we see how far are we from true modelling but I say we're collectively inching towards it pretty nicely. I have said this plenty of times but original designers of TIE Fighters really did all they could to make them unbuildable properly, naturally unknowingly - who would think adult guys 30 years in the future would try to recreate the design using perhaps the weirdest medium available?. The T/F is just a sphere, two struts and two flat hexes. Except: 6-diameter central cokcpit piece would require a 9-diameter ball, minifig-scaled TIE would require an 8-diameter ball and don't even get me started on sources for TIEs dimensions. If you think that Illustrated Guide To Star Wars vehicles is helpful, well, not much. I dare to say this book did awfully lot of harm to LEGO Star Wars MOCing scene. So is my TIE perfect? No, not yet. I promise though, I did all I could to make it as good as possible, with no compromises made. And this time it houses a minifig! The design is super sturdy to my standards, nicely swooshable - for a reason, but I will get to that later. Naturally having a T/F built opens a way towards the Interceptor, which for me is among the best looking spaceship designs in any sci-fi. While the core design is similar, the ball has some differences, mostly to accomodate longer struts. This is because LEGO curiously didn't develop 2x9 plates and for once I was in a situation where I can't really replace 2x9 plate with anything without compromising structural integrity. Having that solved I went onto the wing design and OH GOD INTERNET WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. If anyone knows angle on the panels and can prove it, gets a free beer. With shipping. Because the wings are angled in all dimensions, good luck guessing proper values from photos. Because of the IGTSWV book, half of the models (and I don't even mean LEGO models) existing are wrong. And then because of SW animated series, the other half of the models are also wrong... ...so my source of reference was this: Then after having all that done, I experienced another unexpected problem: The ship is top-heavy and won't stand straight. I added tiny legs on the bottom edges of wings which help a bit, and because the design is quite sturdy, the T/I requires no stand. There you have it. Yet another T/F and T/I. I hope you like the designs and I hope I managed to introduce something new to the very competitive scene. Enjoy! ...but wait, there is more! I would not build these models if not a commission request from BrickVault: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrhb3SP2lZBgguLHIWWuHOQ Originally it was meant to be just a few TIE models based on the 2014 design I had, just LDD files, but over time we developed a much more interesting designs and... instructions for each of them! The instructions are paid and please understand, it took weeks to develop them, error-proof, make the experience enjoyable and builds sturdy enough to be handled easily. Normally I do not make instructions, as I prefer to build with real bricks than to do electronic designs. The instructions are designed to have dozens of simple to follow steps with just few pieces per step, have submodels where needed, parts list for each step and a total bill of parts at the beginning. Additionally, in few places, there are notes to watch out for some particular details. I can fully understand now what LEGO designers go through and I can imagine amount of effort required for making instructions for larger and more complicated designs. I am pretty sure it took more time to design instructions for the recent UCS Millennium Falcon than to design the model itself. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!

Hello Guys ! I show you my MOC of the TIE Fighter with the STARWARS REBELS Design. I'm inspired by the awesome "TIE Fighters short film" on YouTube too. I'm trying to be the more "accurate" I can! I'm proud of my cockpit design which has a very good shape! :) I regret just a small space between the canopy and the rest of the cockpit. Moreover, the panels ("wings") are relatively heavy for the structure. The consequence is this creation is NOT for playing! Because the structure is a little bit too fragile for that! If you are interested, I sell the building instructions (PDF + Partlist.xls) 5 euros. I have to finish these instructions. My instructions are not free to help me a little to continue to build other things and to "protect" my work... I hope you understand. My website : https://bricksfeeder.wixsite.com/bricksfeeder On Rebrickable : https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-10510/BricksFeeder/tie-fighter-starwars-rebels-design/#comments UPDATE (30/10/2017) : With RUSTINIDIEL, we found a way to improve the strength of the structure. Now, You can grab the TIE By the cockpit (not by just one wing) and put in on the air and different positions. BUT be careful ! You still have to take it not as a brute or too quickly. This TIE is still made for dioramas, or collection (static positions) An updated building instructions was made. For the person who already bought my instructions, I will send the updated version for free. :) My YouTube Video : See you soon! :) You can see my other topics : ITT : [MOC] ITT (Imperial Troop Transport) from SW Rebels TIE Advanced Prototype : [MOC] TIE Advanced Prototype (aka Inquisitor's TIE) from SW Rebels A-Wing (McQuarrie / SW Rebels Design) : [MOC] A-Wing (McQuarrie / SW Rebels Design) Batman's Batmech : [MOC] Batman's Batmech Speeder Bike 614-AVA : [MOC] Speeder bike 614-AvA

The wings on the 9492 Tie Fighter were always excellent, but the cockpit let it down badly. The cockpit on the 75082 Tie Advanced was a big improvement, the canopy pieces were quality, but the wings sucked big time. So, I kinda combined the 2 designs and hopefully improved them by adding my own tweaks. Here you go. I willl post some images later on today (unfortunately I set my uploads off as I set off to work today and some of them failed).: All black Batman Tie Fighter! Yes you read it right

Hello Star Wars community, I am proud to present you my entry for the first round of this years Star Wars MOC Olympics on ImperiumDerSteine. It is the first time that I take part in the contest, because normally I am not so much into Star Wars but this year I try to progress as far as possible for a mainly Castle-builder. We will see how it turns out. Our task was to build a Micro-Fighter of our choice, so I decided to recreate the First Order Transporter, also known as Atmospheric Assault Lander, or like rolli says a giant vacuum cleaner. I tried to include all the little details that are important for a Micro-Fighter, it should be stable enough that children can play with it and some play features should also be included. Greetings fellow Eurobrickers; I haven't been very active on here for a while. This X-Wing model was started a while ago by my son, but he only went back to it recently and asked me to post it as he is not quite old enough for an account on here (he is 15). Here are some photos of the ship: More images on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/108515400@N03/ All constructive criticism welcome.

This MOC is my take on an Incom Corporation vehicle. It is meant to be a vehicle that exists in the star wars universe, a custom fighter craft used by the Rebellion during the galactic civil war, but just never was shown on screen. It mainly uses parts from 75218 (X-Wing) but also uses parts from 75211 (TIE Fighter) and a few pieces from a few other sets. It features Full hyperdrive capabilities, powerful weapons, light shields, and it is speedy as hell, thanks to it's almost oversized engines, but one of it's few disadvantages is that it cannot have an astromech and so can only hold a few hyperdrive coordinates at a time. It can hold one minifigure pilot comfortably, meant to be a generic rebel pilot, and has functional landing gear. The pictures are too large to upload here sadly, but you can check it out here, as well as get free instructions for it. Please note the rendered studio models do not have the stickers that were used in the actual model. I hope everyone enjoys one of my older, earlier mocs, which is still one of my best

I was wondering if anyone has managed to combine 9493 and 75102 into one kind of "super x-wing". I tried but it fell apart.

Hi! Today I'd like to show you what I consider my best work up to date and also my first take on a fighter aircraft. I chose F-4 Phantom because of its legendary status and cold war era origins, which is also the theme of most of my other models. Minifig scale replica of one of the first flying wing aircraft powered by jet engines constructed in 1945. It is modeled after the V3 of the aircraft, the only version of the aircraft that still exists today (on display at the Smithsonian). The MOC features fully retractable landing gear and a dual colour scheme. The biggest challenge was trying to get all the angles and shapes as true to the original as possible because there isn't that much source material out there on the web. The original pilot would have worn a pressure suit but sadly Lego hasn't released one of that kind yet so I used the next best thing I could find. hi fellas, This is my first Spaceship i actually got to finish, so im quite new here. I usually build cars, so im really out of my comfort zone with this one^^ Tell me what you think of it! I tried getting it a retro, near future look with edges and a beaten up/heavy duty paintjob (just like the star wars rebel ships). It fits one fig and has movable engines + engine covers. Also 4 blaster guns are included in the main frame. Overall size is left small on purpose, so it can be like a dogfighter with small area of possible impact (thats why there are no wings;) ) cheers. So for an evening and a late night's work, I decided to make this TIE Fighter from modifying the body of Darth Vader's Tie Advance (75150) & the wings of the First Order Special Forces (75101) into what you see now. I believe I have done satisfactory work translating the ball shape into LEGO with brick elements, and, refining the design of the wing with less studs and pieces whilst maintaining the sturdy structure, as well a strong connection to the body—have a look! Many thanks for taking the time to check this out, and I appreciate any comments you have! Outside wing detail Left side ball detail Inside wing detail Backside detail Topside detail TIE Fighter on tripod stand Offered below is the LDD file, and the BrickStock part list. The LDD file consists the model, grouped into sub-assemblies and separated into sections, with functioning instructions for building convenience. Despite what many users commonly experienced, accomplishing a working generated guide is manageable through grouping the model into sub-assemblies, otherwise the program will falter and fail to generate the building steps properly. Though oddly as well, the program cannot process various connections properly, resulting in model being separated into the sections as shown. These difficulties can be noticed when the program chokes at some point of the process bar, then begins to skip around—this model experiences this in a certain area. The difficulty in particular occurs around the steps for assembling the arms, which will anchor the wings, but this is the only error in the guide and small enough to pass over without frustration . However if you are not convinced enough of how decent it works, try the file yourself, the model still should be grouped in sub-assemblies when opened . lilme_tie_fighter.lxf

These TIEs have already been up on Flickr for a little while but I thought I should put them up here too. Not a lot to say really, we all know what a TIE looks like after all. This is my version, it (comfortably) fits a fig, has an opening top hatch and even the rear window seen extensively on ILM models and in the Rebels TV show. It's also surprisingly sturdy, I made sure the cockpit was built for strength (less for looks as you may tell form the amount of studs) and in that it can keep up with my X-wing's tight manoeuvres in a hand-held dogfight :D TIE fighter (1) by Inthert, on Flickr TIE Fighter (cockpit) by Inthert, on Flickr I've made an LXF file for the cockpit if anyone's interested: TIE Cockpit.lxf (I had added this to my X-wing topic but its obviously more appropriate here ;) EDIT: I've competed the full TIE in LDD as requested. Enjoy!: TIE (complete).lxf UPDATE: I've been informed there may be some pieces missing in the from of 4 2x1 grey plates (used to close the hexagons on the insides of the wings) so just keep that in mind when using the file ;) I also noticed that some parts were omitted from the first file so I decided to re-try the cockpit, seems to be okay in the complete TIE file just so you know. I couldn't just have one imperial ship around to blow my X-wing and Falcon to bits so I made two! This a mining guild TIE as seen in Star Wars Rebels, its a fairly simple modification on my imperial tie, just a few colour changes and what not but it does the job ;) Mining Guild TIE fighter (1) by Inthert, on Flickr Let me know what you think, I'm sure they're far from perfect so any suggestions will be welcome :)

Recently I've been building all of the tie variants. After a long series of delays( bad design, wrong proportions, narrow body and the occasional missing parts), the entire collection is almost ready! Some are undergoing remodeling and will be ready soon! Currently, I don't have enough parts and they are only in LDD models. these below are the canon tie variants the tie fighter the tie interceptor the tie bomber the bomb bay the tie defender tie boarding shuttle(with landing gear) coming up are most of the legends tie variants.( Still building some!) the tie VIP shuttle tie aggressor tie avenger tie sentinel coming soon tie oppressor tie interdictor tie heavy bomber royal guard tie interceptor and here are the tie experimentals tie experimental M1 tie experimental M2 tie experimental M3 coming soon tie experimental M4 coming soon tie experimental M5 And that's all of them! Let me know if i missed any tie model in the imperial navy(not the Astragon navy) below. Hope you all will appreciate the work I've done here! (Although I used the first order tie fighter for the M2 and tie fighter with minor edits and as the cockpit base for the fighters without hyperdrives) For the mini fighters(compatible with 75106 assault carrier), I will post them soon!

NOTE: I have no plans on building this IRL for now, it was just for fun to pass the time. If you want the original Star wars version, see here. This model is a combination of the best parts of sets 8095 and 7565 (both of the sets mentioned are called General Grievous’ Starfighter.) but rendered in orange and white for the Neo Nexus Force. As such, this logo here goes on the nose of the craft. Background info: The ship's name in the Star Wars universe is the "Soulless One", and is General Grievous’ personal vessel in Episode 3 and both the Clone Wars cartoon and mini-series until his death at the hands of a Obi Wan Kenobi, who then "borrowed" the ship and later abandoned it. The ship was later found on a junkyard asteroid by Neo Nexus Force leader Bob, who gave a new paint job to the vessel and rechristened it "Creative One". It serves as Bob's private space vessel when on solo missions and also when the star cruisers Bright Hope and Bright Future are not needed. The ship features a slide open cockpit, which comes with a flight computer. The ship defends itself with four laser cannons mounted near the front by the wings, two per side. I heavily modified the tail, wings, and underside to attach better to the rest of the ship. Also, in case anyone is wondering, the wings and mostly from set 7565 while 98% of the body is from set 8095. The Bob figure is included with the space ship in the LDD file, which is available here. Comments, questions and complaints are always welcome!

Hey there - don't post much but the new xwing windscreen being available in trans-yellow inspired me to update one of my MOCs that I was never quite satisfied with until now. Backstory: In order to combat the increased incursions from the Blacktron forces and protect against their raids on commerce lanes, the Legoland Space Forces commissioned the development of a new scout and patrol craft. A decided departure from earlier, lightly armed, exploration craft, the LL919 is a high-endurance, single seat combat vessel designed to fill commerce escort, interception and interdiction roles. The Galaxy corporation developed a series of prototype craft from the successful LL901 light scout vessel. The basic spaceframe was stretched to accommodate an advanced high-power compact fusion reactor, a FTL jump drive, high performance sublight drives, additional armaments and an advanced AI system to assist with target tracking and identification and navigation on long patrols. The wing area was increased to accommodate additional radiator capacity to dissipate the heat generated by the advanced combat systems as well as improve trans-atmospheric performance. Armament features dual high rate blasters on each wingtip to engage smaller craft. Dual forward particle cannons and 6 under-wing hard-points carrying auto-seeking anti-matter torpedoes allow the LL919 to effectively engage heavy vessels. The FTL jump drive capabilities are classified but experts estimate that a jump drive in a craft this size would be capable of around 6 intersellar jumps before requiring maintenance and refueling. However, the craft does appear to have dorsal Bussard scoop which might allow the LL919 to extend its maximum endurance by travelling through dense clouds of interstellar hydrogen gas to replenish its fusion reactor. The craft features retractable nose gear and the ventral fins pivot to serve as the rear landing supports. The LL919 has had nothing but praise from the initial test pilots and it is now being rolled out to the LLSF's elite units. The photo below shows an LL919 wearing the famed "Scarlet Vipers" squadron colors. It is expected that the LL919 will be sent to equip all of the LLSF's patrol squadrons, replacing the current issue X-1 patrol craft, Cosmic Cruiser, FX-Starpatroller and other units, once Galaxy Corp. completes the initial Low-Rate-Initial-Production models and is authorized to begin full scale production. I have had different variations of this build in LDD for several years and I was never quite satisfied with the look. The new T70 xwing canopy struck me as perfect for this build so I recently re-designed the canopy section to include it. There is a "design progression" picture in the brickshelf gallery that captures many of the iterations of this design over the years. The nearly studless exterior features significant SNOT construction techniques. Total piece count is 343 bricks including the pilot minifig. The design is obviously inspired by the Buck-Rogers Earth Directorate "Thunder fighter" with the tail section somewhat inspired by the A-wing. For now, this MOC will likely remain a virtual creation as acquiring some of the pieces in the colors needed will be difficult. This is my first attempt a using "Bluerender" and I just want to say a big thank you to those who developed it. I found it very easy to use on my first go-around and can have the satisfaction of a more realistic visualization of this creation until I can find a color scheme I like that where all the elements are commonly available. One of the next things I need to try is to figure out how to include the classic-space logos in the render. Anyways - thanks for looking drc

Hi everyone! I'm quite new, but I build lego Star Wars MicroMOCs; in other words 'mini minikits'. I got my ideas from the Star Wars advent calendar series- style micro kits. I have built over 200 so far and I'm still going, so if you want to see any of these regularly, check out my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/James.Arts2172 and my YouTube Channel "James_Arts_2172: Lego" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA All I did was go through every page of both DK Star Wars Visual Dictionaries and build every single ship and vehicle in them. Of course I have made many more besides (2014-present sets, Ep 7, Rogue One, Clone Wars, Rebel, Force Unleashed, Old Republic).
