Treasure of the Spanish Plate Fleet, 1716 On July 31st, 1715 one of the wealthiest Treasure Fleets in history wrecked off the coast of Florida. Millions of Spanish coins, jewels, and other valuables littered the shallows. After months of Spanish recovery efforts a small fortune remained lightly guarded on the beach, open to anyone daring enough to steal it. In early 1716, a small group of pirates lead by Henry Jennings, Sam Bellamy, and Benjamin Hornigold raided the small Spanish garrison and made off with a haul equivalent to 10 years of wages for only a single nights 'work'. The wealth of this raid and the inspiration it provided for would-be pirates across the New World, kicked off the final stages of the Golden Age of Piracy. Finally! I am done! Or am I? ... Luke is sitting in the rather uncomfortable steel chair of the Redemption’s medical bay. His new mechanical hand feels cold where it is attached to the bone. Stupid Vader… His glance wanders up towards the large viewport. He squints as the light of the hundreds of billions of stars in the galaxy greets him. But the glow of the stars is just a faint glimmer compared to the magnificence of the kickass Rebel Fleet just outside! My latest creation is the Rebel Fleet as seen in the last scene of the Empire Strikes Back: Fear the Might of the Rebel Fleet! UPDATE: Many more fighters: Overview The fleet is made up of the following ships (Updated): - 15 T65A X-Wings - 16 BLT Y-Wings - 6 A/SF B-Wing Heavy Assault Starfighters - 5 RZ-1 A-Wings - 2 TIE/LN Starfighters - 1 Lambda-class T-4a Shuttle (Tyderium) - 1 heavily modified YT-1300 Light Freighter (The Millennium Falcon) aka. a piece of junk. - 3 GR-75 Medium Transports - 1 CR-90 Corellian Corvette (the Tantive IV) aka. A Blockade Runner - 1 EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate with medical retrofit (The Redemption) And… - 1 heavily modified Firespray-31-class Patrol and Attack Craft (Slave 1) As you can see a few guests have snuck in – not all of them are especially welcome. There are a number of unidentified ships in the fleet scene, but rather than speculate on the exact scale and shape of these ships, I have focused on creating “Guests to Scale”. The Fleet Or “Home, sweet home”, as it is known to many rebels. The Fleet. Straight Perspective. This angle gives an overlook of the fleet and a sense of how the different ships relates to one another. Flying away. I was a bit challenged capturing the entire fleet from this angle – a few ships are missing in this shot, but a wall was in the way. The Flagship Leading the fleet is the flagship, the Medical Frigate – Redemption. The Flagship. The Medical Frigate is currently the flagship of this ragged fleet. The eagle eyed amongst you may be able to spot that I once again have made a number of modifications and added detail. Hint: The changes can be found from front to back on the ship :) Charting the Course. The flagship leads the way. Mmm look at those engines… The Falcon The most famous (and infamous) ship in the Rebel Fleet. This old YT-1300 freighter has seen more action in its lifetime than half the Imperial Fleet. Falcon and Transport. This picture is interesting because it shows the Falcon’s size in relation to a number of ships (the fighters closest to the camera not included). The Falcon is naturally dwarfed by the Transport, but it is also worth noticing how little space there must be on the bridge of the Transport. Two pilots would be hard pressed to fit in there. Closer. Here the docking ring and cockpit are in focus, but we also get a sense of scale in relation to the characters in the viewport of the medical bay. Falcon Front View. Several types of smaller crafts and fighters can dock and resupply with the frigate. The Rebel Fighters Escorting the fleet is a range of different, specialized fighters, from A-wings to Y-wings. Fighters. Five types of fighters can be seen this picture. A-wings. Beginning alphabetically, we have two A-wings zipping by the Deflector Control tower of the frigate. A-wings are among the fastest fighters in the Rebel Fleet, giving even a TIE Interceptor a run for its money. B-wing. Two B-wings are in the Rebel Fleet, they are not on direct escort duty, but more than capable of disabling even larger Imperial ships with their formidable array of deadly weapons. The B-wing was developed by none other than Admiral Ackbar and is the most heavily armed fighter in the Rebel Fleet. The fighter is mainly used in hit and run missions against Imperial targets. X-wing. The X-wing is the most common fighter in the Rebel Fleet. Today it is on escort duty, but this all-round fighter is capable of so much more; for example transporting force-adept farmboys around the galaxy and blowing up multi-trillion-credit Imperial installations. Y-wing. Six trusty old Y-wings serve as escorts in the Rebel Fleet. The attack fighter mainly serves on bombing runs but can also be used for escort detail. The fighter is one of the oldest active fighter designs in the rebel fleet and has gone through a number of modernizations. Most Y-wings have their engines’ hull plating stripped to make the heavy fighter lighter. The Corvette If you freeze frame the last scene of the Empire Strikes Back, you can just make out the silhouette of a Blockade Runner flying in the background. The model for this ship is most like the Tantive IV, which is the one I used for reference when building my CR-90 Corellian Corvette. Corvette Front View. The Corvette trails the Medical Frigate in the fleet. It is the second largest ship in the convoy and sports formidable anti-fighter capabilities. As such the Corvette could easily fly without fighter escorts, but a prudent fleet admiral has assigned four Y-wings to escort the ship – this may prove to be a very wise decision. Corvette Side View. As Slave 1 zooms past the Corvette the main canons try to train on the target, however the target is much too fast. Front/Side. The Corvette is followed by two more Transports. Corvette Engines. So many glorious engines. Unwelcome Guests Building at this scale it became very hard not to build other crafts, which may not be a part of the Rebel Fleet. I am a sucker for scale models and seeing ships in relation to each other, plus it gives the entire scene a sense of action. This is not just a Rebel Fleet meandering the outskirts of the galaxy; stuff is about to go down :) Slave 1. Boba Fett jumps in from hyperspace, almost colliding with the Rebels. Can the Imperial agent sabotage and disable the frigate before he has to flee? Even the powerful Slave 1 is no match for a Rebel Fleet this size, so he has to be quick. Slave 1 Up Close. The little Slave 1 moc features as much de detail as possible: a fully rendered back side with engines, poseable wings, canons and a translucent cockpit. The wedge slope is from the 6964 mini Slave 1 set. Imperial Shuttle and TIE Fighters. Have the Rebels already captured and secured Tyderium? And two TIEs? Did Boba Fett track the Rebel thieves and follow them to the fleet? Why don’t we see these TIEs in Return of the Jedi? So many questions! The Rebel Transports Rebel Transports are the backbone of the fleet. They carry supplies and mobile bases the ragtag group of freedom fighters can put up anywhere in the galaxy. Close Quarters. A 90 meter long transport flying side by side with the flagship and being utterly dwarfed. Enjoying the View. The Transport captain is probably thinking the Princess is waving at him from the viewport of the Frigate. Side by Side. The Rebel transports have very limited armaments, thus each transport is escorted by two X-wings, piloted by the elite Rouge Squadron. Containers. Each transport features dozens of containers. I have made sure that each transport features a specific container configuration – they can’t all transport the same stuff :) Details. Besides the container configuration, each transport features unique detailing. Having three carbon copies of the same ship is boring and by adding different detailing to the ships, each craft gets its own storied life. To sum up Building this fleet has been a challenging experience. It has been frustrating at times, but also very rewarding. Thanks to all the comments and feedback from all of you who commented on the various ships, and thanks to the EB staff for the shoutouts! I leave you with one last shot: Rebels in Space! As always, please let the comments fly!

Dear community, Today I would like to advertise a campaign and present a MOC to you, which basically does not belong to my core competence, but which I nevertheless enjoyed developing very much. But now lets start at the beginning... In the middle of June one of my customers from Dresden wrote me a kind e-mail. He informed me that the Saxon paddle steamer fleet, which is the oldest and largest paddle steamer fleet in the world, is currently in economic troubles. Not only because of Covid-19, but also because of the increased low water in the past years. Locals, fans and friends want to support the association "Weiße Flotte Dresden (white fleet dresden)" with various activities. The idea of my customer was to create a construction instruction for a steamship model and to sell it. A major part of the proceeds were to go to the campaign. I wanted to help. I wouldn't call myself a real fan of steam ships, but after some research I was fascinated by these old heavy machinery, like the steamers on the rails. The problem, clearly, I had never built such a model before, but once my interest was caught and after choosing a suitable original, I started working on it. It gave me great pleasure to see the model grow, also the acquisition of new building techniques from the sector ships was exciting. But soon it became clear that a scale model would be about 1.5m long. This is of course way too big to make a instruction for private customers. So I designed a model in reduced size. I paid special attention to the recognition value by the colouring and the proportions. Various details were reproduced in the exterior and on the decks, but also in the interior. For example the steam engine, which can be driven together with the two paddle wheels by a Power-Functions or Powered Up motor. The model is built in minifig size. The individual decks can be removed individually and the interior can be played on. The instructions are available directly on our homepage or in our Ebay-Shop for 14,99€ / $17.99. From each sold steamship instruction, we pass on 11€ / $13. We support the crowdfunding initiative "Preservation of the Dresden Steamship Fleet", which was founded by Michael Hillmann. Further information about the initiative can be found here. Many thanks and best wishes Martin | www.bricks-on-rails.de Inspired by the steamship "Dresden" The lifeboat is also present The roofs can be removed, the bridge offers space for the captain There are several seats at the rear, the lower deck is not equipped. The view of the "steam engine" In the front saloon there is, besides some seating, also a small galley The ship is divided into individual modules The dimensions of the finished model

I've been working on these a while, waiting for Benny's SPACESHIP to be released. Now that I have Benny's ship, I can start building the rest of his fleet, which should include 2 fighters, 1 freighter, 1 escort cruiser, 1 Command Cruiser, 1 hover car, plus the space station. Now on to the pics! LL929 "Cosmic Explorer" (AKA Benny's Spaceship x3!) Built in 2012-13 for the Classic Space Supreme Commander, Benny the 1980-something space guy. It came equipped with a pocket for Unikitty during the Battle for Octan Tower. After the battle, this pocket was removed. (Unikitty turned down Benny's offer for a commission to Classic Space command, and has set out as a director actor in Movies & TV. See her latest film, "Johnny Thunder & the Temple of Gloom" for more info.) The area was replaced with a canopy for the crew to see outside from their stations near the Imagination Reactor. This ship in it's original form (plus it's pilot Benny and his friends) are featured in The LEGO Movie. Ship Name: Cosmic Explorer Owner: Classic Space Command Model: LL929 “Voyager” class Command Cruiser Manufacturer: Classic Space Shipyards Engines: 3 Mega Imagination Reactors Max Speed: 5,100 MPH Max Hyper Speed: 0.8 past light speed Other Modifications include: bumblebee stripes, longer wings, removed wing flaps & spring shooters, plus I added two more computers under the former skylight. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1401734951m.lxf NOTE: The file above is based on the one in the "Offiical LEGO sets made in LDD topic" by EB user "Canticleer blues". He built the file I modified. Galaxy class Deep-Space Fighter These ships escort Benny on his missions, most recently on the search for George the 1970-something space guy, Benny's predecessor and friend. The small ships proved vital when they had to search the debris field of George's ship... or what was left of it. Owner: Classic Space Command Model: “Galaxy” class deep space fighter Manufacturer: Classic Space Shipyards Engines: 2 Imagination Reactors Max Speed: 3,400 MPH Max Hyper Speed: 0.5 past speed of light LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1415380096m.lxf Gamma class Freighter Originally bought from M-Tron Corporation in 1989 as discarded designs for what eventually became the 1990 Particle Ionizer, the Gamma class freighter is the one of slowest hyper-drive equipped vehicles in the Classic space Command fleet. It features 2 of the smallest (and slowest) hyper-engines ever built, and can carry up to 45 astro-tons of freight. The Gamma class features three smaller cargo holds capable of holding smaller lose cargo (such as mail or parcels), while the bigger pressurized hold can hold anything from a carbon-frozen human to a couple dozen alien eggs, all the way up to a medium sized machinery. Owner: Classic Space Command Model: “Gamma” class freighter Manufacturer: Classic Space Shipyards Engines: 2 Mini Imagination Reactors Max Speed: 2,550 MPH Max Hyper Speed: 0.4 past light speed LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1401664595m.lxf Micro - scale Benny's Spaceship + Classic Space Satellite First off, the Benny's spaceship micro build was inspired by Pepa Quin and his Iron Builder "Comarade Benny" model, (link: https://www.flickr.c...s-55973205@N08/ ) while the satellite was built from a LDD starter model from 2011. Background: The famous Benny the 1980-something space guy is investigating a mysterious signal coming from a region of space beyond our galaxy cluster. The radio signal was accidentally picked up by a satellite listening for possible Blacktron communiques. It is a 16 billion year old signal, which means it is older than the universe itself! Benny will have to find a way to get to the signal emitter, and he may just have a way: a certain blue box and it's owner! LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1415551572m.lxf Pi class Hover Car Originally intended as a high society transport, this ship design was stolen by another manufacturer and famously featured in the 2002 film Star Wars Episode II "Attack of the Clones". The company that made them first almost gave up until it sold one to then-unknown blue 1980's spaceman named Benny. Benny then used this car to shuttle himself to his work and secret master builder meetings, and eventually to his SPACESHIP(!)'s hanger after the end of Octan Corporation hostilities. The ship was not featured in the film made about those events, but nonetheless was seen in the studio parking lot as Benny drove it to play himself in the movie. It currently is stationed on the planet Zonia, where Benny (along with all the other Classic Spacemen) lives. Owner: Classic Space Command Model: “Pi” class hover car Manufacturer: Classic Space Shipyards Engines: 1 Mini Imagination Reactor Max Speed: 1,275 MPH Max Hyper Speed: (N/A) LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1401665607m.lxf NOTE: This ship originally was half of Star Wars set 7133, Bounty hunter Pursuit. Epsilon II space base The legendary 1970-something space guy, (also known as George) opened the Epsilon II Base in 1986, just in time for the Great Divide of 1987. (also known as the formation of the Blacktron) They made their base on the nearby ice world of Imperium and threatened to invade Epsilon II. The classic base was put on lock-down as George waited to receive an order of heavily armored and armed Exo-suits. (However that ship was intercepted by an unknown force and crashed on a world in a far-off uncharted sector of the galaxy.) George's situation back on Epsilon II soon became desperate as the supposed time of arrival for the Exo-suits came and went. Blacktron soon surrounded the world, drawing ever closer to the lone outpost and it's large fuel dump. By 1991 however, the Space Police had been formed and routed the nearby Blacktron stronghold of Imperium. The remaining siege fleet of Blacktron ships fled to the Galactic Deep Core to lick their wounds. The first Classic Space ship that landed on Epsilon in four years was commanded by a young Benny, who was sent to relieve the original commander George as he was retiring to a small lunar outpost. Benny has since been given fame in the LEGO Movie and the honorary title of 1980-something space guy. The base has been updated to feature two smaller landing pads and one large one for Benny's spaceship. (The statue is this mini-figure from 2009: http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?M=sp103 ) The modified set 70816 (Benny's ship) and two cruisers are included in the LDD file. The submodels are grouped for your benefit, though one substitution is needed: the two 32 x 32 baseplates are meant to be these parts instead: http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=3947a . LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1415559668m.lxf Here is a some-what related build of something used at the space base: Octan Fuels hover - tanker This OCTAN truck is on the smaller end of hover tankers. It can carry Nitros oxide, propane, rocket-grade gasoline, liquid nitrogen, plutonium, oil, and other fuels. Inspired by Bricksky's alternate build of set 60016: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tylersky/13598270465/in/faves-55973205@N08/ This model is made up mostly of that set's parts, with some additions. These include the following printed part: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3068bpb018 for the front 2x2 tile between the lights. This OCTAN tanker has three engines: two sub-light and one hyper drive. (in the middle) LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1398109113m.lxf Questions, comments, & complaints welcome! EDIT 11/7/14: Added more pictures and fixed categories. EDIT 11/9/14: re-Added Epsilon II space base and micro - scale models, plus the Octan tanker.

Hi! I wanted to show off my first fleet I build. It's mostly for a game called Mobile Frame Zero: Intercept Orbit. I haven't played the game yet, though. To make it potentially more interesting I added a bit of background fluff. There is also a short Youtube video about this fleet, if you are inclined to rather watch that instead: I made a couple of instruction videos as well: Intercept Orbit Playlist But now to the fleet: Terran Defense Union Fleet GreyFleet001 by Maranar _bricks, on Flickr The TDU values their assets and uses defensive tactics to gain the upper hand in any conflict. Each ship is equipped with defensive systems, based on their shield ring technology. Nevertheless, Terran Command knows the importance of offensive capabilities and tries to balance these within their ship designs. She is equipped with a long range railgun and sophisticated sensor equipment, allowing the commander to collect intricate sensor data of the surrounding space and objects. She wants to be closer to the battle taking the attention away from the command ship. It is rather hard to ignore this offensive power house. As is it custom for the TDU, every ship is equipped with defensive systems through their shield rings. The inability to fight at point blank range has to be taken into account when choosing its target. Hello, Here to present the MOC I posted on ideas.lego - https://ideas.lego.c.../87740/comments It's all about grand admiral THRAWN and his seat of power :) He is a beloved character from the former STAR WARS' EU. But if you feel like me then this one should become canon as well because there is plenty of room between episode VI and VII. Hope you like it. Set - It is a pretty simple set. There is a moveable arm console that let's you place a small holocron image. The seat spins 360º because of turntable element underneath the seat. But the main attraction is in fact the minifigure :) Let me know what you think and if it deserves your support or why not :) Cheers

The Dreadnaught Class Heavy Cruiser is a Star Wars warship well known from the lost Katana Fleet of the Thrawn Trilogy. At 600 meters, it was roughly half the length of a Venator and could be configured with varying combinations of turbolasers, point defense cannons, and missiles. Most of these would be located in the hull "blisters" similar to Mon Calamari ships. I was recently acquainted with the cruiser as I'm reading through the Thrawn Trilogy (Half way through the second book at the moment). Not the most sophisticated-looking ship, but a fun one to design nonetheless. As usual, it's designed to 1:2600 scale. Some additional views in the spoiler below...

Lego USS Enterprise (TOS) by SteampunkDoc, on Flickr Designed and rendered in Bricklink's Studio 2.0 10.5" Long, 4.5" wide, 3.1" tall 176 pieces Built to (very roughly) 1:1000 scale The USS Enterprise was commissioned around 2245, being one of around a dozen Constitution-Class starships. She was one of the most famous vessels of her time, much of that earned under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. She was destroyed in 2285 to avoid capture by the Klingons. Here's the fleet so far, with this ship along the NX-01 MOC I designed earlier this year. TOS and NX Enterprise Comparison Shot by SteampunkDoc, on Flickr

Hi everyone !!! This is my first post My name is Raúl, I'm from Lima - Perú (South America, Machu Pichu hehehe) I'm a Lego HARDCORE fan. In Perú, Lego is VERY expensive (twice as expensive as Europe) and very limited support, but with tons of effort we can build some dioramas hehehe This is my second diorama. It's an expo in Lima (october 26th), and was a little expo but very significative. Album in flickr: Take care See you soon El Pirotecnico PD: Sorry for my bad english
