As a kid growing up in Transylvania, TAF skidders built at the IRUM plant in Reghin were a mainstream sight. I was always impressed by the power of these monsters, and how they defied anything Mother Nature could throw at them: snow, ice, mud, step gradients, big logs. My machine is not a scale replica, but rather a representation of the concept, drawing inspiration from the ol' reliable TAF 690 OP, the upgraded 690 PE (with Perkins engine and electronics) and the brand new TAF 2012 (especially the G version). For all intents and purposes it's a trial truck, built for the february contest held by RoLUG, so extra-functions are rather lacking. Stats: 4x4 drive provided by 2 XL motors, geared 8.4:1 (12/20, 12/20 bevel, 8/24 portal), steering provided by 2 linear actuators powered by a geared L motor Working winch, only pulls the cable when the tractor is moving forward (hard coupled to the drivetrain of the front axle). The sole purpose of this winch is to help the skidder over obstacles or deep snow pendular front axle (realistic) blade turning with front axle (realistic) manual grabber (rather esthetic detail, easily motorisable by adding a pneumatic pump and a switch) snowchains (realistic) LEGO Custom RC forest skidder - inspired by and modelled after IRUM/MAVIPROD TAF 690 PE and TAF 2012G. My entry into Category A of the "A Safe Haven" challenge. Allanar Forest on the isle of Alnya is where many of the dwelfs have chosen to live. This is likely due to their love of nature, and the many animals who also make their home there. The dwelfs spend much of their time caring for animals, or training them; even such creatures as dragons are welcomed in their community. Many live in unpretentious cottages, but don’t be mistaken – they are excellent craftsmen, and their homes are held in high regard by even the most skilled architects. "Now don't be scaring my chickens when you feed them, boy!" "Don't worry, Garrek, I can handle throwing out some chicken feed." Rhalyf had been given some time off at the stables during a quiet spell, and Garrek was quick to put him to work feeding the flock of chickens he keeps in addition to his prized goats. Faelar has a simple task today: fixing a section of fence alongside the path. Some lovely mushrooms caught Nym's eye earlier in the week, and today he returned to harvest the ripe ones and dig up one to plant in his own garden. Alenia is working with Frandri in the forest today, and has brought along a treat to reward the young dragon with. Torrel keeps several hives in different places throughout the forest, and as usual is busy checking up on some of them now. Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, comments and criticism welcome

Micah is out with Hanska and his friend, Deganawidah, hunting in the plains of Lacryma. The island primarily has open plains with scattered trees that have the highest density near rivers and creeks. Today, they are hunting for the deer that roam on the island, but it takes a smart hunter to get close to them, as the deer have keen eyes and a sharp nose. They have been following a deer and hog trail right up to one of the creek crossings. They hope to spot the deer on the other side of the creek. Hanska explained to Micah that the hogs that have populated the island like to live in bramble patches where it is hard to get to them. It is unwise to go in after them, and the primary method of hunting the hogs has been to waylay them in the moonlight with spears. Though the Corrington rifles have proven more effective against their thick skin than the Onondaga's bows and arrows and this has drawn the attention of the Onondaga. Notes: This build was a concept since last Christmas, and I have had the deer built and waiting for the forest ever since. I finally got around to building the forest around Thanksgiving and just finished it recently. The build is 72x64 studs which is my largest physical build to date. The trees kept falling over on me, and they also got attacked by the toddler between photography sessions, so they were my least favorite part of the whole build. I borrowed the birch trees from @Kai NRG's great build. I intend to license this in Elizabethville as a medium plantation. Additional photos behind the spoiler.

This is my first moc entry in Nar Eurbrikka so if I do this wrong can someone let me know? Thanks! Marching orders: With my 3 moves We are going 1 Left and 2 down to D22. As a group of troops were sent out to receive supply's from a nearby drop ship, the odd one out gets stuck with the work. Troop discrimination is something that the empire is struggling with at the moment and the emperor is giving monthly lectures on the topic and...look this months guest speaker is Darth Vader himself (He knows a lot about discrimination, specifically age discrimination)

4 big crushing tires! When I saw the 42054, the first thing I thought was "FOREST SKIDDER!". When I got the set, I built a crop sprayer ;) But now, a month later, I actually did build a forest skidder. And here it is! The MOC features 6 functions, including 3 power functions: Crane stage 1, crane stage 2, and lifting of the front ripper blade. The manual functions are a pendular axle, HoG steering, and operating the grabber. The model suffered from awkward proportions throughout the build due to the complexity of the gearbox and placement of the Battery Box. The hood suffered from the brunt of it; it awkwardly hides the battery box and is too high. Video here: Pictures: So That's all- next MOC of mine should be interesting ;) Thank you! Anyone remember this B model? I personally think it sucks. So I decided to rebuild it, but as a C model of set 42054. These are the functions the finished model will have: -Crane stage 1 (motorized) -Crane stage 2 (motorized) -Front ripper blade (motorized) -Grabber (manual) -Articulated steering (manual) -Simulated suspension Here's what I have so far: This is the rear with the basis for the crane. This is the 2 axis articulated joint. This gives a simulated suspension. So that's it for now! Stay tuned for updates, as they will be coming soon! BrickbyBrickTechnic

Hello! Today I decided to build custom LEGO fire ATV. And this is what I've done. I like the colors and size of the ATV. I think, I will put it in the LEGO forest, near the city. By the way, I like all official LEGO forest fire and police sets. On my opinion, LEGO forest subtheme is good and I'm waiting for some new sets. Do you agree with me?

Hi all, A little presentation of my LEGO Forwarder named XXL for obvious reasons :) It has been a project in my spare time for some years now and still not finished (probably never will be...) Most basic facts: Weight: 6,7 kilograms Dimensions: 95xx36x50 studs Drive: 8 XL motors + hub reduction Steering: Forced by controlling front left with rear right and the other way around (because of the weight in combination with the huge friction from the wheels) Wheels: From 8466 (4x4 Offroader) Some vids from Youtube: Feel free to comment or ask questions, I´ll try to answer them :)

Okay first off, this is my first Free Build, my first build for Historica period. So it might not be amazing but I don't think it's terrible. Constructive Criticism is appreciated. It features my character Dorshov the wizard, And yeah, on to the story: The wind rustled through the trees in one of the dense forests in Nocturnus. Step step clack, step step clack. The rhythmic sounds of foot steps and a walking stick echoed through the trees. An old man rounded the bend and started for the small bridge that spanned the small gorge cut by the creek that it surrounded. Ahead of him, on the opposite bank hidden behind a tree was a lone bandit. From his hiding place, he stared covetously at the large red jewel at the tip of the old mans walking stick. . As the old man stepped onto the bridge the bandit leapt out from his hiding place and charged forward! The old man (Dorshov), raised his staff and cried out a guttural word. And fire blasted from his staff, and the bandit screamed as he was consumed by fire.As the bandit crumbled to ash, Dorshov resumed his journey leaving the a mound of ash and a sword behind... finis (that's Latin for finish or end) As I said already compliments and criticism is welcome, thank you for taking the time to look at this. As requested I have added pictures of the entire build.

Location: H06 - Farmolis Tags: vehicle, land vehicle, exploration --Weekly Explorer's Transmission-- --Log of Eagle-Eye Silver-- --28 Septembrinali 3815-- Mr. LaRose called me back home to Farmolis to test a new toy speeder. The new model of the high speed Super Swiftsure! Zipping through the forests and plains of the Farmolis wilderness, I put the Mk. 2 through its paces. It’s not all that maneuverable really, but in a straight line on a chilly, low humidity day this speeder will approach 500 kph with a tail wind. While none of the Swiftsures—much less the “Super” models—have much in the way of cargo space for actual exploration gear and sensors, due to their range and speed, I told Jacques that the Super Swiftsure Mk. 2 ought to be standard issue for scouting missions on suitable planets to map potential points of interest for follow-up with more scientifically equipped explorers. --End-- C&C is always welcome!

I took my last castle build and made some major changes. I added a drawbridge and put a moat around the castle. I changed the keep, and added a nice looking library/ tower. Added a market village inside the walls as well. And made the dark forest outside the castle with a watch tower. The first picture was an entry for summer joust. The rest of the castle follows, I probably should have put minifigures in the pics, but i always like to take pics without the minis so you can see more detail and not be distracted. Silvaridis, the forest wizard home was build for the Summer Joust 2022 Gradients category. I only used green colors, teal and black, white and clear for this build as was mentioned in the category for Summer Joust 2022. It was difficult managing to make a minifig with this limited colour but I really like the wizard I came up with. Silvaridis, the forest wizard home by Ids de Jong, on Flickr

One collab wasn’t enough, and we just managed to squeeze in a second build before Isaac returned to Denmark. It’s yet another scene set in our Alnya, and we returned to our roots by making it viewable from all sides, and even including a full interior! It fits on a 48×48 baseplate and is an entry in the Civilian Building category of the CCC. Extra credit to John for handling the last details and photography! Allanar Forest is home to one of the largest Dwelf communities in Alnya. Its beautiful trees, plentiful wildlife, and rich soil are a perfect match for the Dwelfs favorite pastimes of raising livestock, nurturing gardens, finding new uses for herbs, crafting beautiful cottages, and of course eating. See more images on Brickbuilt. Always feels good to post something new for the Guilds

Hi everyone! I present to you the third module of the Medieval Village. Hidden in the forest among large trees with dark trunks, surrounded by vegetation, in perfect symbiosis with nature... there is an outpost, a stronghold where the Forestmen live! These famous archers, children of the forest, live hidden among their trees. Through ingenious secret passages they can reach the village to be able to fight enemy factions and grab gold to survive. This new module connects to the previous one (#2 medieval bridge and water mill) and represents an important presence in the Medieval Village that is gradually emerging. The module is composed of 4 trees typical of forestmen with black trunks. A large waterfall is the protagonist of the scenario which gives life to the stream already seen in the previous module. Next to the waterfall there is a tree with a special branch... if activated it opens a secret door in the rock that allows the Forestmen to reach their outpost through a tunnel carved into the rock that runs along the back of the waterfall. The Forestmen's stronghold consists of a ground floor with a main room with a fireplace, an armory and a wardrobe that can be opened revealing the secret passage to the tunnel. On the first floor we find a dormitory room and another room where the forestmen eat. Above we find a turret used to spot enemies from afar and where a powerful crossbow makes its presence to shoot arrows far away. With a non-LEGO rubber band the crossbow actually works! A further lever behind the base allows you to move two Forestmen children playing among the reeds. There are also Easter eggs. The base is made up of 5,800 pieces, the outpost alone is made up of around 1800 parts. The three floors of the outpost are separable to better observe the internal details. You can view all the detailed photographs of the moc in this Flickr Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sdrnet/albums/72177720315170655/ I hope you enjoy my latest work and stay tuned for module #4! Prince John Sits inside his lonely castle with everything he could possibly want. Money, Power, Land, Loyal Servants. But he is unsatisfied, craving only the death of the bandit Robin Hood. Meanwhile Robin Hood is enjoying a party with all his friends. He is an outlaw who owns nothing but the clothes on his back and his trusty bow. He gives away all the money he ever gets. And today he is happy, dancing with his one true love Maid Marion while all his friends dance play and sing around him. My goodness this took forever to edit. Stupid Leaves. Built for the "Light & Shadow" Category for the 2023 Summer Joust. Hopefully this is the right forum, it could also belong in licensed themes, but I figured it was a better fit here. I did enter it in the Summer Joust after all.

Okay this is another free build, I've made, my second actually, so I hope you all like it! Here it is: Deep in the swamplands of Nocturnus, was a treehouse built from two trees. The treehouse over looked small road used only by a few merchants who wished to shave time off their trade route. Inside were two croc warriors. Suddenly running up the road was a third croc warrior. He ran over to the tree house and scrambled up the ladder. “What is it?” Demanded the leader of the croc warriors. “A merchant wagon is coming! Two guards! They’ll be here ANY minute!” “Finally! Get to your posts!” barked the leader. The other two warriors scrambled down the ladder and concealed themselves in the swamp. The crocs watched silently as the wagon came nearer. Just as it passed the tree house the leader croc dropped a log held by who chains, it swung through the hole in the tree house floor and slammed into the wagon knocking it and the guard walking next to it into the swamp. The crocs in the swamp leapt out and attacked! The leader scrambled down the ladder and attacked the last guard, quickly killing him. Soon all the merchants were dead, and the crocs set about looting the half submerged wagon. Okay that's it hope you all liked it! Please feel free to leave any compliments and/or criticism.
