I was inspired by Overwatch set 75972 (Dorado Showdown) to create this modular small town auto repair shop with 1950s tow truck. I call the building Smokeys Garage. The building features a raised platform for cars to roll onto and be worked on, with folding ramps to keep the broken-down vehicle (in this case a dark blue Ford Anglia set 75953 MOD) in place. The front of the building. I've been working on this tow truck and building on and off basically since the Overwatch theme released in 2019. The rear of the building featuring a few empty oil barrels and some old engines. The main floor of the building, with the ramps lowered for receiving a broken-down car. Several types of tools hang from the walls. Upstairs on the second floor is the employee break room. The eight wide hover-truck from Overwatch set 75972 has been turned into a 6-studs wide 1950's-style tow truck. Rear of the truck. The hook is too high off the ground to actually pull anything... The cab roof is removable to seat the driver behind the wheel. This 1960s car is a heavily modified version of the Ford Anglia in the 2018 Harry Potter set 75953 - Hogwarts Whomping Willow, remade into dark blue. It has broken down, and is being worked on at Smokeys Garage. (my most recent modular building) The rear of the Anglia. The car has an opening trunk and cabin doors, and also seats one figure. Although 6561 Hot Rod Club sits at the center of this custom garage, I've expanded it quite a bit. It currently has a reception area, parts storage, and two bays. There will also be a second floor when it's finished.

Fill 'er up! My latest build is a jump into the glory days of gas stations, when full service and free oil changes were the rule and the local station was a gathering place for neighbors. My brick-built gas station is inspired to the Shell one located in Tucson (Arizona) and it’s packed with every details you’d expect to find. It showcases an elegant Art Déco architecture completed with curved corners, a tower in the middle, a red outline all around the station and the inevitable Shell writing on top. The build is three in one: the diner on the left, the garage/workshop on the right and the fully-equipped store located in the middle of the building. A look at the back of the station reveals the three locations with many details and the different characters. Outside there are two period gas pump with a beautiful Lego shell on top under a curved canopy. All around you can find tanks, signs, tyres and other stuff. To complete the work I've built a red stepside pick-up truck, a tan Hot Rod and a reddish-brown roadster with some troubles (it's housed in the garage indeed). It was on my wishlist long since and finally I've found the time to built it as I had in my mind. I'm sorry for posting my gas station here with a little delay Thanks for stopping by. The Takehito Yamato Coupé I saw this classic Hot Rod on Chop & Roll magazine few months ago and I was stricken by the uncommon colour (PPG 1936 Cordoba Tan) and by the smooth design of this Deuce. Plus its story was really cool: built in California and shipped to Japan where its new owner lives. Japan has a thriving hot rod scene, and many cars have been bought and shipped there. This coupe, however, is the first being built to order then making the trek across the Pacific. Takehito Yamato contacted Walden Speed Shop, based in Pomona Ca., after seeing his works in The Rodder’s Journal. Takehito wanted a traditional hot rod, and while that may be essentially what he ended up with, the details are what really sets this coupe apart. Inspired by the Takehito Yamato history I built the tan Deuce with all the details you’d expect to see in a brick-built scale model. To complete the work I built a brand-new show-room full of vintage stuff. Below the broken-down view showing the red Chevy ZZ383 with aluminium heads in all its glory. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to share our Auto Garage MOC. I really wanted to build a nice service station/ auto garage for the kids and town so I decided to build the entire structure on an X-Large Baseplate. The use of the x-large baseplate meant I could really go large and wide giving the kids a chance to really get in a play easily. The fun (and toughest) part about this build was to get the wide custom Garage Doors working and folding with Technics. The Gas Pumps were also a fun little build, needed to keep them small and minimal to leave space for cars to move in and out. Put a tiger in your tank!* - Part 2 Few days ago I presented the Volkswagen T1 Esso Service that was the first part of my latest MOC. Today I'm happy and proud to show you the second part: a classic Esso gas Station designed in 1953 by Dutch modernist architect Willem Marinus Dudok. My LEGO Dudok Esso gas station has the same features of the real one: an elegant design, a v-shaped roof on both sides, two gas pumps on a dark grey platform, different advertising signs and other stuff. The shop is on the front of the station; a detailed service garage is located at the back. There are a lot of details both outside and inside the building, let's take a look. In the shop you can find a big desk with a vintage phone, a cash register and a architect lamp. A big clock is positioned on the wall close to the shelves where you can see the oil cans and an old radio. Two neon lights and a fan are hung on the ceiling support. The garage at the back features a lot of utensils, advertising signs and other stuff. My VW Type 2 T1 decked up in Esso livery fits perfectly in this scene. Take a look at the Michelin Man (Bibendum)...I love it! The design of Dudok was simple and brilliant simultaneously. According to the mission he received from ESSO Netherlands, the station had to be functional and inexpensive to produce. It was just after World War II and raw materials were scarce. At the same time the road network grew and pumping stations had to be placed anywhere. 112 Dudok Esso stations were placed along the Dutch highways. Below an overview. Below you can see the real Esso station photographed at the National Automobile Museum Collection Louwman (The Netherlands) where was placed in 2004. Hello, I'm happy to introduce you to my modular garage with power functions and pneumatics: This modular has the following components: 1x Rechargeable battery box (8878) 1x M motor 1x air tank 1x manometer 2x small pumps (6L) 2x small pneumatic cylinders 2x medium pneumatic cylinders with square base Approximately 1,5m of pneumatic tubes (I didn't count, maybe there's more) I always wanted to mix technic and regular system bricks and I already did so with my Ice Cream Parlor (http://www.eurobrick...opic=111129&hl=). Now, with my third modular, it was time to introduce pneumatics! :D This is the coolest part of LEGO for me and to increase the cool factor I have used manometer as well :D This building's purpose is mostly to have fun, so I didn't care that much for the fact that gigantic manometer on top of the building is rather rare sight in real life ;) I simply always wanted to have one and observe the changing pressure as I play around with my model and here it is! Anyway, we have here compressor that powers cylinders that open the doors (2 small cylinders) and rise and lower the car lift (2 medium w/ square base). The list accepts cars up to 7 wide and has a lot of lifting power. You can remove all three sections of the roof for easy access. Hello, I would like to present to you my latest MOC of a single-family home with garage: It is inspited by several projects of similar style that is apparently quite popular around the area of Warsaw, Poland. Could be not just here, but more widespread phenomenon. This is a a fully furnished two story building with small garden, garage and a fitting car (yes, it does fit inside, although barely :) ) The tree was built to finally use all those leaves I took from a PAB wall. And boy, is it part intensive... Here you can have another look at the tree and the side of the building: and yet another one: And now for the car: I am not a car expert, just wanted to have something to go with the building :) OK, so let's go inside. But just before that - a general areal view of the ground floor and surroundings: Here you can clearly see the plan of the ground floor. Once you enter the house from the top, you will see stair leading to the first floor on your right, underneath those is a kitchen area, on your left doors leading to the garage, bookcase, and doors to the toilet. Straight ahead door leading outside to the other side of the building. Hello, this Space Tank is a "small class" unit inspired by WWI English tank Mark I. Colors and style are clearly based on LEGO Classic Space series. Named "Blue Bull" due to the stocky shape, it's equipped with a huge long-range gun and with a little gun machine right below the rotating turret. I particularly like the loader's hatch and the details featured both on the turret and the side. The crew is composed by 3 crewmen: the commander, the driver and the gunner. Here the Tank is at the maintenance hangar where the staff is taking care of it after a moon mission. Below the Space Tank in plain sight Even if Classic Space is not my comfort zone of building, and some friends of mine were surprised seeing this new build, I like this theme since I was a little boy. Moreover having in stock a lot of CS pieces pushed me to build the tank and the space hangar. It has been really funny building this MOC and for sure won't be alone for a long time. The scooter released in 2014 by LEGO (clearly a Vespa) is really cute and it deserved an appropriate repair workshop. Furthermore this year the legendary Vespa turns seventy and this is the right circumstance to pay tribute with a specialized garage. Here it is! The new workshop features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. There are also a mobile roller cabinet, the the oxy-acetylene welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two lifts to easily work on the Vespa. On the right a red tool cabinet includes many utensils. Two pendant neon lights are hanged on 2 dark bluish gray supports. There are also trophies and helmets all around. I really enjoyed building this Minifig scale workshop and I hope you guys also enjoy this my new brand LEGO diorama. The Scooter shop on flickr. Another creation for diorama on incoming event - in winter edition. No interior has been made. I also try to put on some icicles, but I didn't like them at all. When I'll put it on diorama, some utensils, decorations and accessories will be added. For now it is, what it is. Credits for "Stop buffers" goes to Karwik. I like the idea, but I made my own version of it.

Years ago I had a wish to build a truck. And.. I had plenty of white bricks. So I googled some white trucks and it just happened that I found a Scania T-cab wrecker truck from Slades Garage. Somehow I even got in contact with Matt, the driver (and owner?) of the truck. I contacted him for more pics and features of the truck. But.. he didn't replay in time. The first version of my model had pneumatic features on it. Many of functions where wrong. Then.. months later fellow Mocker - Dennis from Netherlands - discovered my moc and offered me few more pics of the truck from one of the truck-shows. That gave me opportunity to observe the details more closely and build a better version, a second version. And this time I went for remote control features. But - as the electric motors were stronger than previous pneumatics (and they also took more space) the result was more fragile. So there was a second rebuild, a third version with entirely new chassis, built out of lego technick. So.. after something like three years and countless iterations, I consider the moc finished. It has eight functions - all four by two channels are used: - Driving (XL motor - channel 1) - Steering (M motor - channel 1) - Left outtrigger (M motor - channel 2) - Right outtrigger (M motor - channel 2) - Raise / lower main boom (L motor - channel 3) - Underlift (M motor - channel 3) - Extract / detract main boom (L motor - channel 4) - Spool (M motor - channel 4) -
My second build for ABS Round 2.1 The seed part is the red bucket, which I used 19 times (once in another color) in this build, see if you can find them all! I have wanted to try some builds in the city theme for a while, and a fire truck offered some nice possibilities to use the seed part. Then I decided to add the actual fire station, and a smaller fire truck after coming up with some other ideas for the part. The build is complete on all sides, and even has a bit of interior. My latest build matches my passion for motoring culture: it's the MOONEYES headquarters located in Santa Fe Springs, California. MOONEYES was founded by Dean Moon in 1950, the Santa Fe Springs-based hot rod shop was originally titled Moon Speed Equipment. The Moon crew was a prominent group of go-fast pioneers through the ‘50s and ‘60s, working hand in hand with the likes of legends such as Carroll Shelby — in fact, the first AC Cobra was constructed in the Moon garage. Inspired by the Dean Moon’s history I've recreated the MOON HQ, both the interior and the exterior of the building. In the garage there’re a lot of tools: a roller cabinet, a workbench, the pendant lights, a sink, the column drill press and a lot more. Everything in bright yellow of course. Remarkable the American flag hanged on the wall and the electrical outlets and conduits. What about the surfboard displayed on the wall? The exterior is enjoyable and it features many details. The two rolling shutters and the electricity poles are the ones I prefer. To complete the work I've built the well known and famous MOON pick-up, a ’68 Ford F100, and a Hot Rod based on a ’32 Ford model B. More info and pictures on my flickr. Thanks for stopping by.

Location: G03 - New California Tags: Vehicle, Land Vehicle Job: Driver Start Log: Always great to have the backing of a well equipped maintenance team. After my last mission I returned to base, and while I awaited a new assignment, my speeder was given a thorough going over by the mechanics. Hammerhead is a popular rest stop for those traveling west from the Crown City, Insomnia. Unfortunately for Prince Noctis and company, their car didn't quite make it forcing them to push it the rest of the way. ~~~~ Thank you to everyone who helped me finish this MOC up. Your input was invaluable.

Here is my heavy MOD of 2020 set 75968, 4 Privet Drive. The car is a dark blue version of the Anglia in 2018's Hogwarts Whomping Willow set (75953), and fits inside the added garage. Here is the front of the house. I added a visible chimney flue, as I didn't like how the set kept the one hidden inside the wall. The rear of the building features a greenhouse and back door to both the house and garage. The greenhouse folds up and open to get at the inside of it, which at this point holds only a telephone. On the lower floor of the inside is the living room (with record player, couch, and fireplace), kitchen and dining area (stove, sink, table and two chairs). The upper floor features a lamp on a table and a bed. This 1962 Ford Anglia 105E is based off set 75953 (Hogwarts Whomping Willow), but in dark blue. (and no, it does not fly!) The rear trunk opens slightly. Two of this part are missing in dark bluish gray, and four of this part are missing in dark blue to finish the car. The LDD file is available at Bricksafe here. I was inspired by set's 75972 (Dorado Showdown) and 75953 (Hogwarts Whomping Willow) to create this small town auto repair shop with flat-bed tow truck called Smokey's Garage. The building features a raised platform for cars (such as the Anglia) to roll onto and be worked on, with folding ramps to keep the broken-down vehicle in place. NOTE: The front of the building is missing sixteen of this part in dark bluish gray above the second floor windows and the side door on the first floor. Also, two of these printed 2 x 4 tiles go on the hanging sign out front of the garage. The front of the building, with the ramps lowered for receiving a broken-down car. The rear of the building folds open to allow access to the inside. The upper floor is the break room, with a rock-n-roll album on the table, and hi-fi stereo system in place to rock around the clock..... at least during business hours! Here is the album piece. The rear of the building. This truck is basically a stretched version of the hover-vehicle in the Dorado Showdown set. It is missing two light-bluish gray ones of these (used as the back of the headlights in the set) as they don't fit where they are supposed to go in the model due to a LDD glitch. I added regular-size wheels, and safety stripes to the deck, which sadly does not lower into a ramp like a real truck would... but it does just barely fit the Anglia IRL! Here is the flatbed tow truck and the '67 Anglia in real bricks, plus the two workers Charlie "Smokey" Jones (on left) and Caroline "Carol" Jones (on right). Smokey owns the garage when this picture is taken (It's 1969 in-universe) and does the heavy diesel work and home cooking, while his wife Caroline does the gasoline engines and book keeping. They have a daughter, named Josephine Jones (nicknamed "Jo" and isn't present here) who is in training at trade-school to become a mechanic. She will shortly join the family business in 1970, and takeover from diesels when Smokey dies in 1976. Carol stays on until 1983, when she retires to work on restoring a Ford Model A as a pet project. Jo renames the business "Jo's Garage" in 1985 after moving to a new location (seen in set 10264, Corner Garage) in the downtown area when the older building became too outdated and small. She continues to run the garage today, even bringing her son Franklin into the family trade as of 1997.. NOTES: I just bought the Dorado Showdown when it was $18 (US) from Amazon and then I went and subtracted all the parts I could find for this project in my own parts bins from the BrickLink file. The truck and Anglia themselves are finished already without ordering anything, and the building is down 200+ bricks from when I started looking for parts... still need to order around 520 more. Hello folks! Few weeks ago I presented my version of the VW T1: the canvas covered pick-up for Volkswagen Service. Now I show you my last MOC, an Oldtimer workshop for Volkswagen "Bulli family". The right place for my T1 (and not only...). Here some pictures: In order to build the internal of the workshop I watched my real garage where I used to spend a lot of time restoring and repairing old motorcycles and bicycles. There are many tools and details in the workshop. [ Last winter I spent many nights to build this workshop and I'm very satisfied with this MOC.
