Hello, It´s been a while since I posted something... This is the statuette of Cthulhu from the short story "The Call of Cthulhu" from H.P.Lovecraft. It´s 20cm high just like in the story and it consists of 940 parts ...probably not just like in the story Happy Halloween!

You'll float too... For the last couple of months I have work tirelessly on recreating this trailer. IT is one of my favourite books and I have high hopes for this film and therefore thought this would be a fun challenge. Some of my best animating and set design was achieved during this production. I am very pleased with the end result so any feedback would be great! (Audio belongs to Warner Bros and New Line Cinema 2017, I do not own anything except the footage recreated for entertainment purposes.)

MUAHAHA! It's the spookiest time of the year, and time to show you my new LDD creation! And it's a halloween themed MOC, no less, so, without any further ado, let's take a stroll through the Saint Modular's Cemetary... This place is modular, but not Detective Office, or Parisian Restaurant Modular, but instead, every grave with it's parcel (and inhabitant ), is a module on it's own, connected via technic pins, so is the fencing and the gate. Now, St Modular's seems to be a quiet, somber place of rest for departed minifigs, but... On Halloween Night, right after clock strikes midnight, all hell breaks loose, and the graveyard gets haunted by popculture references, THE HORROR! When the night falls, and the full moon shines in all it's glory, the sky get's littered with all things paranormal. Ghosts racing through the night, flying saucers are here in search of inteligent life forms (good luck with that... ), and werewolf calls his pack on a hunt. Also, It beats me how a cursed sarcophagus with it's wrapped up owner got it's way here from Egypt, but whatever! Here we have, straight outta Sleepy Hollow, the Headless Horseman, and his trusty steed, rearing triumphally. But who's that mysterious fellow in black clothes and mask that every self proclaimed computer hacker seems to wear nowadays? Yup, It's Agent Smith Elrond V! And what does V stands for? Very cool MOC, obviously. And Vendetta. Moving on! There's a little Dance party here, with King of Pop Himself, immortalized as a minifig. Chucky, put down that knife, you sexy doll you, just look at that charming smile... Also, Slenderman's here. And a generic evil Mecha, don't mind him, he's aquiring his target, ahem, I mean having a good time... One, two, Freddy's coming for you... Nah, he's just hiding behind the grave, sneaky bastard... Right at the front Cthulhu would like to have a swim, but Sadako/Samara won't let him in her well... What a Halloween MOC would be without vampires? Unfortunately, Dracula, Count Orlok, Lestat and Count von Count couldn't come to the party, so we had to bring this guy, Edward Cullen. Darth Vader was so annoyed that he force-choked mr. Sparkly McStupidface. Damn, Pattison sure has tough luck, when it comes to dying at a graveyard, first You-Know-Who, and now another dark lord have killed him... But Wait, What's that green gooey stuff under the crypt's wall? Oh, these are just Xenomorph Eggs, But what is it? A young Yautja Warrior is trying to lay his hands on them... Watch out Hunter, there's an Alien queen, ready to defend her offspring, or rather incubating facehuggers... Despite this all happening, a plucky gravedigger on his nightshift seems to be not aware of the paranormal activity in his workplace. Well, you can see in his face he has some HAUNTING suspicion, that something EERIE is going on, but that was only autumn wind HOWLING, and giving him the CREEPS. Ok, I'll stop here this pun is so DREADful, it's SCARY... And, that's quite it, soon I'll upload the .lxf so you can dl it and admire it in it's whole glory. Happy Halloween Everybody! Also, there's one hidden character, did you spot Waldo? If so, post in comments!

Gary has always been a bit unlucky when we talk about love. Maybe it’s his appearence, because Gary’s looks… eh, how would I say it… Anyway, girls haven’t shown much attention for him over the years, though Gary has tried everything from blind date to Tinder. Because Gary works as a biochemist, he decided to develop some kind of love potion in his home lab! He recruited volunteer women with a newspaper announcement to test his creations. After many years, chemical reactions and failures, it seems that he finally made it! As always, C&C are very welcome! :)

It has been almost 8 months I didn't post anything here. Often too busy at work and thus I only build during holidays. Here are my new additions to my BrickheadZ horror movie series. Instead of posting them one by one under individual topic, I now post them all at one time. I am afraid there is no more characters which I think worth building. First of all.... Just released my "The Call of Cthulhu" project on LEGO Ideas yesterday :-) As a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft's mythology I decided to build a set based on his short story "The Call of Cthulhu", which was released in 1928 and might probably be the most famous tale by this author. About the scene (might contain spoilers for those who haven't read the story yet): The scene of my model depicts the arrival of the norwegian sailor Gustaf Johansen and his crew in the city of R'lyeh which was built by alien beings aeons before humanity inhabited the earth and is described as a cyclopean city of titan blocks and sky-flung monoliths (decorated with strange runes). It was sunk to the ground of the ocean, where Cthulhu (an ancient alien being) had to wait for the stars to align the right way so R'lyeh would rise again to the surface. While exploring the ancient ruins the sailors accidently release the "Great Old One" from his prison and try to escape aboard the "Alert", a derelict ship, that was discovered by the sailors earlier... About the Minifigures: I've tried to build LEGO versions of this mighty "Old One" before but only the release of the 13th series of LEGO's "Collectable Minifigures" provided the minifigure-squidhead I was waiting for since it perfectly fits this creatures Appearance! The combination with the wings of the 14th series gargoyle, the 15th serie faun's legs and the 16th series little devil finally rounded up the list of needed parts to complete this awesome minifigure (although it would be great to have a more dinosaur-like tail like the 5th series lizard man - wich sadly can't be combined with the wings). To represent the sheer size of Cthulhu I used the minifig-trophy-statuette of the 9th minifigure serie's "Hollywood Starlet" for the sailors. They represent Gustaf Johansen and two of his frightened crewmen. If you like it, please support it! You might also be interested in my other projects like the life-sized human skull or my RPG boardgame.

A forensic psychiatrist, a surgeon as well as a cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal always likes to prepare gourmet meals for you... This MOC follows the screenplay of the Silence of the Lamb. The final confrontation in the mission "Jack of the Lantern" from the video game Secret World Legends's Blue Mountain setting, re-imagined as a (virtual) LEGO set, featuring custom decals for Jack the Lad, the Scarecrows, and my Illuminati player character the Blue Bee. Not strictly speaking sci-fi, but there's no, say, Horror, Urban Fantasy, or Video Games theme, and Sci-Fi fit better than any of the other options. No other camera angles on this one. I don't want anyone to see that I couldn't be bothered to build the rest of the house.

*Your entry has earned 13 XP* Why did we follow so blindly? Why did we get sacrificed like pawns in a game? When will this end? I am Captain Ruhn of the Emissary and this is how we found hell in deep space. It all started when we were tasked to investigate an anomaly out in deep space, the farthest we thought harm would find our crew. We had just returned to headquarters from a blockade hold nearby Mygeeto when we were given the order to investigate. It seemed simple enough. Our fierce Commander Lazvis, one whom I think was oblivious to what was really at hand, told us one way or another, we shall stick to protocol. Arriving at the coordinates, all we could see was the vastness of space surrounding us. Commander Lazvis, still sticking to his routine, sent me to ready my men in case of any disruptions. Communications were opened up in order to relay the situation to headquarters. We were told this task was of peak interest to Imperial High Command. Before we could reach them, it began. Out of the void, a flash of dark red light, striking out with bolts of lightning could be seen in clear view of the bridge. The alarms automatically kicked in, it seemed this unusual force was sabotaging our reactor with its increasing amount of energy. Our technicians trying to get communications back online were subsequently knocked back by the energy which found its way into our batteries. Little did we know, this was the least of our problems. Here is a link to my Flickr post.

Fantasy-horror minifigures each using at least one recent-ish LEGO part. Yes, some of the accessories aren't LEGO. But given that even TLG has on at least one occasion used a third party piece in their marketing, I don't think I've committed a mortal sin. Back row L to R: wraith, necromancer Front row L to R: cambion, spectre, devilkin, angel of death Questions? Comments? Creepiness?

*Your entry has earned 6 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* MISSION_LOG_13; decrypting data... ENTER_LOG_ Whatever it is, it must have been taken in while the Crescendo was still replenishing supplies near Fondor. How it got this bad without Engineering finding out is beyond me. It consumed the crew like a virus, changing them into something else. Oh Kriff, this smell makes me feel like my lungs are burning. I need to stay calm, I need to RUN. "We can take the shuttle through this hatch Coda! Try to hold them off!" "Understood captain!" The horror bellow [1] by simulterious, on Flickr "Notturno, start working the access codes right now! Ferroce, are you still receiving any life signals from the crew?" "No captain. I, I think they're dead Sir. The horror bellow [2] by simulterious, on Flickr "It's crawling over the railing! Hurry and open the damn door!" The horror bellow [3] by simulterious, on Flickr Behind the scenes...

^ The Haunted House set, right..? Well Check again! It's highly modified. It's wider, deeper, and higher. (Go count the extra studs !) I think the original lego-set is one of the alltime best lego has offered till now. It does have room for improvement though... First of all, it's big, but not quite big enough. If you want to make a complete interior it has to become a bit bigger. And to make the exterior complete, I added a big tree. While rebuilding the original I got inspired by Disneyland's Phantom Manor (paris). It kinda looks like it already. Just some details were not quite right. I added the round, doubled, and trippeled windows in the front as wel as another balcony on the right. The real Phantom Manor has the porch run around the left corner for visitors, but I left that out. I still wanted the Dollhouse-opening feature. So, this one really is much bigger, wider, and higher, but to really appreciate that you'll have to compare it next to a photo of the origninal set. As you'll see I left a lot of the original details intact, cause I think Lego did a terrific job. ^ Rightside porch and balcony (the steps have been corrected one stud to the right...) ^ I tried to make it interesting from a lot of angles by creating different scenes. Here a couple is sneaking about, not knowing they are being watched from behind by... ^ The Creature From The Black Lagoon! ^ The Creature from the Black Lagoon has a diorama of it's own. ^ I love the hinged dollhouse style way of opening so I kept that. As you can see I modified every square inch of the interior. But let's look at the one level at a time... To be continued...

^ This is the other scenery in my modified haunted house that was inspired by the fantastic Kubric movie The Shining, the bloody bathroomscene being the first. Let me introduce to you the Grady Twins... These peculiar identical twins appear out of nowere at the end of the hotel hallway and ask Danny to 'come and play with us'... Short flashes of a bloody massacre surrounding them make shure you'll never ever forget... But in my scenery I added a little humor. Instead of blood, the creepy twins created a milk-massacre... Hope you'll like my moc.
