Since there are the first leaked pictures out now and we seem to (surprisingly) have no thread for it yet, I thought it would be the time to just make one ;). First of all the facts we know so far: Pieces: 3745 Estimated Price: 360$/320£ Release:1st April 2024The Set was made based on a fan design from an Lego Ideas Contest, you can find the winner announcement here. The leaked picture is, as always quite bad quality and can be found in the usual places, so I will wait to judge the build when we got better pictures of it. So far I would say they added a lot details including D&D creatures such as the Beholder and seems to include at least 6 minifigures including a dragonborn using the vidiyo-dragon head in green. Nice catch, as always I fail to see so many details in those low quality-pics. Rogue looks quite obvious but I couldn´t have identyfied the High Elven Druid exactly as this. Here is my review on LEGO Ideas 21353 The Botanical Garden: THE GOOD: Look absolutely beautiful. With some very nice interior details. Good selection of plants with interesting building experience. Love the new flowers pieces. Comes with surprisingly high number of lego birds and even the D&D CMF brown bird. THE NOT SO GOOD: A bit too expensive. The centre roof need extra care to put on as one of the tree often interfere with it. Bought this day one with the GWP promo and what a beautiful looking set. I only appreciate the look of it once I completed the build. It's an enjoyable build with lots of details with relatively no surprises. Most of the build are very traditional in , the only parts I felt wow I didn't know you can build like this were one of the big tree with the trunk built by gears and the small balcony inside but this is due to the fact I have built lots of big sets in the past 10 years. The exterior looks great but the interior is fun too. The cafe has some very simple yet detailed mini builds that I absolutely love. The new flowers piece is so flexible and great to look at. It's also good to see LEGO include 12 minifigures which is rare in a LEGO Ideas set. Although most of them are just utilising existing parts, but the new vision impaired minifigure head does look good and has lots of potential. One thing to note though, LEGO tried their best to pack the transparent pieces in seperate bags to minimise scratches but I still got a few noticeable scratches. And while the big tree is nice, it sometimes does caught in the edge of the roof when putting the roof on, not big issue and can be avoided with care but I wish this goes smoother.The GWP has the same pavements design and look fits well. However, due to different base plates, it does look odd to have it placed right in front without lifting up the Botanical Garden. In the end, this is a very beautiful set but also fairly expensive. It does gives you more in terms of volume and details compare to the X-Mansion released at the same time but still the price feel a bit expensive. If you don't mind the price, it's definitely one of the best this year. Otherwise the LEGO friends one is probably is also an alternative with a more interesting building experience.

So, it appears that Ideas builder RobenAnne is determined to start his own Winter Village-esque series of buildings. Starting with the one everyone's seen, 21310 Old Fishing Store, it seems like three new buildings are going to be joining it; the makings of an early nineteenth century beachfront if I ever saw one. We have The Lighthouse, The Dive Shop, and Boat House Diner. Personally, I'm looking forwards to Boat House Diner the most; it will surely be able to take pride of place in my village's docks. Dear Community, I'd like to introduce to you my Lego version(s) of the spaceship "Comet" (Cyberlab in France) of the 80s anime tv series "Captain Future" (Capitaine Flam in France, Capitan Futuro in Italy and (I guess) Spain). Captain Future was created by Edmond Hamilton in the 40s and became popular in Europe in the 80s when it was produced for television by a japan company. Captain Future is the hero of this series who fights enemies like the space emperor or Victor Corvo together with his crew, the shapeshifting android Otho, the robot Grag and the living brain Prof Simon Wright. He is one of the very few heroes who actually built his spaceship by himself. In summer I started building my own Version of the iconic spaceship Comet, which is 76cm Long and built from app. 2700 bricks. Crash Bandicoot has been a videogame icon for over two decades. The orange marsupial jumped, smashed, and spun his way onto the Playstation when I was a kid, and I have loved the character ever since. I remember spending hours playing through all three original games, as well as getting friends together to play Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. Crash features 27 points of articulation, including a swiveling waist, adjustable ears, and tweakable eyebrows. While Crash is very flexible, he is also quite sturdy. This is thanks to a carefuly selected choice of joint elemenents ranging from socket click hinges to large and small ball joints. The part count for Crash rings up at exactly 800 elements! Hello. I'm new here so hopefully this is the right place for this topic. I've been wanting to get an advanced build type of set and have had my eye on the modular buildings for a few years now. I happen to have some spare cash so that I can finally get one. But of course deciding is proving rather difficult. Looking at just modular buildings it came down to three for me: Parisian Restaurant, Detective's Office, and Brick Bank. I'm leaning towards Parisian Restaurant, partially because it is the most aesthetically pleasing for me, but also because it has been out the longest, so will probably be retired soonest (am I right?). But the recent release of Old Fishing Store has me thinking about that set as it looks very nice too. Not to mention Destiny's Bounty. I know totally not in line with the others but still a very cool set. Thoughts?

We have all LEGO sets associated with the country, the Beatles' one as well. The only thing that we were always in need of was one of the prominent symbols of England – the Red Phone Booth. This was one of my first large-scale MOCs, that came before the Orient Express Thriller or Winterfield Academy were even conceived! (back in 2014) I had watched the miniseries for "The Shining", and I've always been enamored with National Park lodges. So, the product was The Glacier Falls Lodge, the official lodge for Brickler Mountain National Park! A perfect getaway destination/luxury hotel catering to any minifig's vacation needs! This MOC went through at least six different iterations, before finally being pared down to a (very) downsized version fit for LEGO Ideas. At its prime, though, the Lodge contained an enormous lobby, full dining room and kitchen, and several guest rooms upstairs, with two bathrooms per floor (kind of in the style of Chico Hot Springs in Montana). The first iteration was built in 2014, during that summer we had a major fire that caused us to evacuate. This hotel was thrown in a box and taken with us in a car at night fleeing to Seattle. Later, when the fire season was over and we returned, the hotel sat on the desk for several months without being worked on. The Second Iteration had a change to the tower, it was more octagonal and separated from the roof. And I used the Town Hall Skylights for the Lobby. The Third Iteration sadly has no pictures, as my computer had crashed and we lost them. But it was pretty ugly. I had the idea to try and make octagonal towers on either side of the main doors, with the idea not turning out very well. That iteration was fragile, and fell apart easily. The Fourth Iteration was a HUGE model, with an upgraded, fancier porch and a sign out front! This was also when I made it into more of a Victorian style hotel, with a large wrap around porch, and the two towers on either side. These were half-octagonal towers, which made it a lot easier to stay together. (I had actually figured out how to build them, and gotten the pieces for it). The roof was a major challenge, but we made it work! This iteration also had an enormous, well thought out and beautifully built dining room, as well as a large kitchen with three to four walk in freezers! The Fifth Iteration was downsized in terms of length to make it fit through the door, lol! The basic hotel structure remained the same, however, with the exception of a large rearranging of the rooms inside. This was the first project that I submitted to LEGO Ideas, before having to downsize it again for it to be accepted. This was by far the best iteration of the six, and the only one we have interior pictures of. 5th Iteration furniture and Grand Fireplace 5th Iteration First Floor Porch Detail Lobby Facing the Dining Room Lobby picture 2 Piano Music Room Lobby Picture 3 The cool part was that the interior walls of the 5th Iteration were removable! 1st/2nd floors This was also the first iteration to have major interior decorating and fancy chandeliers! The 6th and Final Iteration of this MOC kept most of the basic structure, subtracting much of the width, in order to make the 3000 piece LEGO Ideas limit. This unfortunately was at the cost of sacrificing the entirety of the interior minus several pieces of furniture. This iteration currently, sadly does not exist anymore. It was torn down and the pieces used for Winterfield Academy (pictured below) However the 6th Iteration is still up on LEGO Ideas right now, and currently has 2036 Supporters! This was by far (not counting my disastrous attempt at a county courthouse when I was 15) my first successful MOC that I thought looked relatively decent! Hi folks, I am not only new here, but also currently trying to get my Ideas project to become the first ever DUPLO submission reaching 100 supporters. There have been thousands and thousands of projects submitted, but only a handful of DUPLO ideas. I actually like DUPLO bricks better than LEGO bricks... are there other people around, having the same "disorder" ?
