I am happy to finally present a model I have been working on for a very long time. There's quite a bit of history preceding the development of this model, which I have hidden in the spoiler below. But before you do, do consider supporting this model on LEGO Ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. To summarise; It has been a learning process and quite the adventure. initially the plan was to simply convert the bodywork of this car onto this chassis. However, as I was making adaptations to the components, I ended up building an entirely different car altogether. A small change on this component can have a severe impact on another. The chassis is built as a carbon fibre monocoque tub, with aluminum frameworks on front and rear to serve as driveline anchorage and bodywork attachment points. The front area contains the steering installation, oil reservoir, coolant, battery, ECU (though hidden under the dashboard module). The rear subframe is one of the parts I am most satisfied with, despite all the angles it is remarkably rigid. Within this subframe hangs the heart of the car, the engine-transmission-KERS assembly. You will also find the main intercoolers (which are actually connected to the air intake manifold on top of the engine!) and the exhaust pipes, which follow a natural path to the engine as well. The interior was kept quite simple but it does have the necessary details such as gas and brake pedals, gauges (though hidden away a bit) and lever for putting it in drive mode. While it has significant improvements compared to my previous car, it is less modular, mostly for structural reasons I had to interconnect some components to secure the car's ability to be picked up without the risk of parts breaking off. Another part I was very happy with was the diffuser. I hope you like it! I thought it was about time I get this one out there. Eventhough I still think there's room for improvement, I figured getting an Idea's project going might motivate me to get to those faster. Be sure to support! LEGO Ideas -
I was actually looking for a similar topic to the UCS Millennium Falcon mods tread but I couldn't find it. The main adaptation I did was the functional boarding ramp, as demonstrated below. It took me a while to figure it out but eventually found a solution where I didn't have to sacrifice too much of the original set. Other changes include; Bulkhead between cargo bay and crew quarters ladder connecting cargo bay, crew quarters and cockpit bunkbox behind pilot chair conical blaster anchorages on the hulll Light functionality This was very fun to build in. There's actually a small maintenance compartment above the bed but It's impossible to see without taking apart the upper hull. The ladder goes down to the crew quarters. Depending on the orientation of the ship, this is either a vertical or a horizontal shaft. The pilot chair can still rotate. The crew quarters, located below the pilot chair (in flying mode) isn't that much to talk about. The space is very limited. The structural beams within the ship limited the position of the platform. Fixing this will require some serious modifications. The cargo bay. I used to have shelves on the starboard side as well but had to remove them in order to fit the door-ramp mechanism. Like the crew quarters this area could also use some finishing touches but I haven't decided yet on which way to go here. One of the light bricks shines all the way through the ship interior (the other one only in the bunk box). To max out the available space in the crew quarters I had to place the pilot chair in it highest position. Therefor I had to change the energy shield shroud, which is located above the pilot, in order to have Boba Fett utilise his helmet gear. That's about it, feel free to make suggestions, I'm not finished with this one yet .

This is my upscale Imperial Shuttle, not quite mini figure scale, but close. I have finally built it after my original UCS set was in many pieces, something i regret not finishing as i was going through my "lego dark age" when i received it. The shuttle can fit one figure in the head and around 6 in the main body. The ramp extends down and has enough headspace for a mini figure to stand under it. The landing gear is retractable, and can also be mounted on a stand. The only issue with this design is that i underestimated the strength of the gear system. The wings are heavier then expected, thus the gear box can't lower and raise the wings with out carful assistance. It is strong enough to hold the wings in place, however. Perhaps when i feel brave in the future i will modify it and add an extra 2 gear boxes to strengthen it. More photos on my Flickr.

This is Billy. Billy has had enough of browsing the internet or watching television and is thinking about alternatives to go with his coffee. To let his mind and senses get some rest Billy decided to read a book. Some time goes by when suddenly Billy gets interrupted, and he scares. Technology is coming for him and there is no escape. Billy tries his best to escape Technology. But in the end Billy had to give up, technology had won. There is no escape. Thanks for reading Billy's story. My 5th entry for the Colossal Castle Contest, into the Village Life category. Credit for the pine tree design goes to Chris Maddison, who recently shared his design in a tutorial here. The build fits on a 48×48 baseplate, and three of the buildings have interiors (pull out rooms). Daydelon has plenty of excellent shops to meet your various needs. Brianna’s Bakery, Tryggr’s Supplies, and the Toy Shop are all located on the first stretch of the main street. Even in the winter the city keeps bustling, with the frozen river providing a great place for children to skate and the snow covered streets still see plenty of traffic from dog sleds and others. I've added an own design interior to the 2nd and 3rd floor of my bricklinked Green Grocer. Only two very minor changes to the GG needed, everything else is kept original. It wasn't easy because the GGs small rooms with odd shape and placement of stairs. Tiled the stairs in the design of the already present hallway floor. 2nd floor with living room and kitchen. The kitchen where one 1x8 tan brick is replaced by plates for the kitchen shelf and upper cupboard. You might recognize the refrigerator, it's from the Parisian Restaurant. Living room with book cabinet. 3rd floor with bedroom and bathroom in one room. Towel rack at the left, shower at the right. Dress boy. Trouser rack. I hope you like it.

Altough i'm not here to post my moc today, i'm asking any of you for a possible link to a tutorial to see of i can turn that back castle thingy at the end of the silent mary set into an accesible space without many bricks or without ruining the design too much. I've gotten the set and tought something was missing. The living quarters of course. Seeing as tough the hull was completely exploded, i tought i could make a cabin for captain salazar. Only problem is: i don't know how i can mod it. That's actually the only reason i'm on this site righ now. I've searched the internet but there's no tutorial for how to make it an accesible space. (Yes this is my first post and i don't know how i need to form a good comment yet) (please don't ban me for this admins)

I had an idea to build a town diorama, but with completely furnished interiors, so you could see the life of minifigs both outdoors and indoors. So these are the first two buildings I've made. There's an apartment on the first and second floor and a grocery store on the ground floor. I had to hurry up to finish this in time for our exhibition a few weeks ago and I didn't have enough time to furnish this building so I decided they just haven't moved in yet. :) The ground floor will be done soon. The second building is actually made of two semi-detached houses. There are two ladies living in these houses and as you can see from their apartments, they are quite different from each other. The completed collab that John and I built for Brickfair VA 2016 where it won Best Castle/Knights. The base is 130×98 studs making it our largest build ever, and it weighs a whopping 87 pounds! Which is 56 pounds more than our next largest build, which was our big collab build last year, Katoren. Every building has a full interior and all the doors actually open. We tried to include tons of little details, and there are some interesting easter eggs to look for: sig figs, thieves, snowball fights, goats, dragons, fishermen, and custom weapons. Nordheim is a bustling city in Mitgardia. Its harbor and Dwarven mine make it a center of commerce, while its strong walls offer protection from the Northern wilderness. This is the 6th module of my large collab with John. You’ll be able to see it in person at Brickfair Virginia 2016. Previous modules: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. As with the other modules, the building has a full interior. Legopard inspired the cart. Here's my phase 3 storehouse for Age of Mitgardia. I used the vast majority of our dark brown collection in this build, and really like how it looks with the reddish brown walls. The storehouse features a full interior with plenty of supplies stored for the winter. And the doors work. Just outside one of Daydelon's large storehouses, Smolja the dwarven blacksmith is greeted by Flotnar. "Good day, Smolja! I hope your work hasn't been keeping you too busy of late," said the cheerful sailor. "Good day to you my friend, and while I never have lack of work, there hasn't been as many pressing tasks of late. Your dogs look to be in fine shape, how do they enjoy life aboard your ship?" queried Smolja. "They enjoy it well enough, though they're happy to gain a romp on land when possible. In fact, they're the reason I've been meaning to talk with you. You see, I'd like to have some light chain collars made, with the dogs names engraved on small placards. Rjoor and Rif are their names." Flotnar stated. "I can do that easily enough," replied Smolja, "bring them round to my smithy tomorrow, and I'll make sure the collars fit properly." Hello, I would like to present to you my latest MOC of a single-family home with garage: It is inspited by several projects of similar style that is apparently quite popular around the area of Warsaw, Poland. Could be not just here, but more widespread phenomenon. This is a a fully furnished two story building with small garden, garage and a fitting car (yes, it does fit inside, although barely :) ) The tree was built to finally use all those leaves I took from a PAB wall. And boy, is it part intensive... Here you can have another look at the tree and the side of the building: and yet another one: And now for the car: I am not a car expert, just wanted to have something to go with the building :) OK, so let's go inside. But just before that - a general areal view of the ground floor and surroundings: Here you can clearly see the plan of the ground floor. Once you enter the house from the top, you will see stair leading to the first floor on your right, underneath those is a kitchen area, on your left doors leading to the garage, bookcase, and doors to the toilet. Straight ahead door leading outside to the other side of the building. After a half year of work I present you this bus.The goal was to make as functional bus as possible with least amount of motors.The result is fully RC bus with openable doors, propulsions and steering using only 3 motors. It had tried Majisto's patience for months, the attitude of the young wizard recently taken under the protection of the Black Knights. The new mage was constantly boasting to any tavern wench or random farm hand about how he could summon an army of demons from an unnamed void that would be stronger than any dragon the Dragon Masters could raise. Well, it was time to teach this kid a lesson--for the soul of a dragon set loose in its pure form of fire and rage is a very nasty opponent and Majisto had figured out long ago how to bind many of them to a specially enchanted lantern... The Queen celebrates her birthday on the 25th of December, many guest come to celebrate with her, even the dwarven king of Tondelheim. On this bright moonlit night, many festivities are planned, however the queen isn't very impressed by the jester. Visit the Queen by moonlight by Ids, on Flickr For a better view of the King and Queen: The King of the Hill, over there, somewhere by Ids, on Flickr Some background info, the scene is lit using 6 old 12V train lights, this gives the needed warm light for the scene. For the moonlight I used an old phone as a flashlight (nice white LED light) and for the candle on the table to the right, with the King and Queen, I used an exo-force "Fiber Optics Cable Wide 20L" which runs through the candle, table, and wall behind the figs, there it is lit using another flashlight. The stained glass is build around an old Knights Kingdom panel, which was a bit difficult to incorporate because I did not want to use the piece that is normally used. I used a bunch of animals, can you spot them all. Thanks for looking and I am always happy to hear some comments.

The fantastical feast is held each year, at Majisto's castle, and no party is complete without a few uninvited guests. Ogwen the dragon has escaped the dungeon and decided to also partake, because the guards were also at the party, Ogwen was only noticed when trying to enter the great hall. -- What better theme to build a party for, then for the Dragon Masters which have their 30th anniversary this year. The fourth and final phase of my project to show Arangr Castle through all 4 seasons. See spring, summer , and fall. What was your favorite season? Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Winter brings snow and ice to the countryside, and an unusual quiet, as most animals are in hibernation of have migrated to warmer climates. Fortunately a good harvest has provided plenty of food for the castle’s residents. Inside a feast is begun, and the minstrels are just arriving. After 7 months of on- and off-building, my Modular Corner Neighborhood is finally built. When I started building the three buildings, my only goal was to use only parts I had at home. Well, I failed that. My favourite of the three is the corner building Cupcake Cafe despite the fact that it's the only half furnished. On the ground floor, there's the best Cupcake Cafe in town. The top floors are empty, but not for long. The new owner is already moving in some of his furniture. The moving van is a recycled MOC from a long time ago. The other modular building is the Grocery store. As the name implies, there's a Grocery store on the ground floor, and an appartment above. The store is small, but it has the basics. There's a nice variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bread, dairy products, jams, etc. My inspiration for the store was the 10684 Supermarket Suitcase. The middle floor of the Grocery store building is the living area. On one side there's a small kitchen, on the other a living room, and in between is the dining area. The top floor has a large bedroom and a bathroom. The 16-wide building is residential. The ground floor has a kitchen, and door to a small terrace (I removed the wall for the photo session). On the middle floor is a living room with a more modern furniture. On the top floor is a bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The buildings can be rearranged in a linear layout. I added some details also to the back of the Grocery store building, mostly to hide the large grey wall. The buildings have some details also on the back side. If you're interested in more details, you can have a look in my (picture heavy) Flickr album, as I didn't want to include too many photos here. Most of them I was taking during the building process so they're not perfect, but most of the details can be seen.

Happy Holidays Everyone! My town has finally got what it was missing, a more habitable apartment complex that has some green space (a rarity due to a severe land shortage problem). Ending the long tradition of single-room flats the new spacious units include a mind-boggling 4 rooms. Some even have toilets, although these cost extra. The development consists of 12 apartments, 3 stacks of 4 built one on top of another. Around 1,500 dark tan masonry bricks were required. As these are more expensive than standard bricks some believe they were intentionally used to funnel state aid to mining companies although this could be just a conspiracy theory. Despite the obvious design improvements however most of my minifigs are not happy at all which is not a surprise really as they can’t afford one. The few that can are also not happy do to bad choices when picking friends. Hope you like the build. This is my 5th entry into the Colossal Castle Contest XIV, for the Ice Castle category. Burg Eltz castle in Germany is one of my favorite castles, and that castle was my main inspiration for this build. My model stands 84 studs tall, and features a full interior via 2 hinging walls sections. Harburg Castle is located in the mountain range near the Nocturnus border in Mitgardia. The lord of the castle, Karsten Storrar, receives an unexpected visit from his brother Sir Glorfindel. Inside the castle the cook prepares some fresh baked goods while a few guards take their mid-day meal. "Karsten! It is good to see you again!" "Likewise, but what brings my famous little brother and Dedan the hunter to Harburg?" Karsten asked jokingly, though his tone soon shifted as he posed another question, "New tidings of the Algus in the North?" "No, the Kylma Katsella and new fortifications seem to be holding back those foes. It's danger from the east that brings me, as we've heard many reports of the Black Spire's influence in Nocturnus growing stronger. Naturally, Harburg's location on the Nocturnus border makes it an important position to have well defended. We've come to warn you and other towns and villages that their defenses should be strengthened in the face of this possible threat," Glorfindel answered. "Yes, I've heard these rumors myself and tried to prepare accordingly. Unfortunately, many of the neighboring lords and jarls feel that these rumours are unfounded." "Which is why we've come to you first," Dedan interjected, "we hoped that your influence in this region of Mitgardia might help to convince the others." "Well I'm happy to do what I can, though of course you understand the difficulty of the situation. The recent Algus threat has already weakened most towns and villages, as they sent supplies and men to fortify the North. But enough of this gloomy talk, come! The twins will be thrilled to have a visit from their uncle, and I'm sure Karin will be pleased to see you as well." And with that, the group headed into the protection and welcoming warmth of the keep. On a white backdrop: There are plenty more pictures on brickbuilt. As SvenF shared his awesome entires to the ReBrick Modular Contest, I thought I'd do the same! Remember, maximum is 16x16, yellow-faced minifigures only and must add to any of the existing modulars. Having said that, let's begin with.... Donatello's Art Studio: An old-style art studio, with all sorts of details and painings. Talking of which, there are three of them reminiscent of real ones: A map of Europe on the back wall, Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer and The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. Donatello is the blonde guy's nickname, honouring Donatello the Renaissance Italian painter, the other two bearded minifigs are the judges; they'll decide whether Donatello's work is worth an exhibition or it's just a mere copy of old work... . Would be located on the 1st floor of Pet Shop's brown building. Right now it is at 5th position of the most liked entries, with over 350 views! Jean's Bakery: A modern, sleek bakery, with a vintage touch! White bricks, chequered floor, palet tables are jst some of my favorite details in this one. Jean, as you can imagine, owns this bakery in the south of France, there would be a crêpe-o-maker, but there was no space availabe for that. What there was space for, though, was Jean's second favourite thing: music, and not any sort of music, but classical music. That's why he has the today unused machines there were to play it: a grampohone and a record player. Would be located on Assembly Square's blue building ground floor, instead of that rather boring café. Jean's Bakery is clocking 31 likes with only 300 views, and at 3rd position! My third entry into CCC XIV, for the Traveling Salesman category. Credit for the star mosaic over the throne goes to Disco86. One of the main things I wanted to include in this build was the awning over the king’s seat, as it is historically accurate, and something I haven’t seen done much in LEGO. The balcony area and floor were perhaps the funnest parts to build however. The grand merchant Tajir specializes in fine silks, spices, jewels, and robes. Tajir has brought a selection of his wares to King Dhahab. What sumptuous items will the King and Queen select? More pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, all C&C welcome
