Hello everyone! Maybe it's too early, but let it happen. What do you think of the Speed Champions series in 2022? Do you think it will disappear or continue, or will it be under a different name? Anyway, personally, I think they will stay with us for a long time (after all, they have made specially new wheels for 2021). It seems to me that there is a good chance to see in 2022 in the SC series such cars: - BMW M8 (maybe GTE) - Pagani Zonda or Huayra - Ferrari - some F1 car - due to Toyota license can Toyota gr010 (hypercar) - maybe some cars from the DTM or VASC series Post comments about what you think.

Hello Lotus, James Bond and Speed Champions fans, The Lotus Esprit S1 is a sports car built by Lotus Cars from 1976 to 1978 at their Hethel, England factory. It has a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and it was featured in the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me, where a car famously converted into a submarine after a road chase. The car used in the underwater scenes is nick-named "Wet Nellie". Building instructions are available on the following link: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-178962/_TLG_/lotus-esprit-s1-007-james-bond-submarine-conversion It is a studless build in the new, 8 studs wide Speed Champions style. I wanted to create a clean model which is as accurate as possible in this small scale. I prefer the brick built solutions to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, and therefore only two vehicle registration plate stickers are used. My intent was to keep the width-length-height ratio of the real car and this size makes it possible. The model contains lots of details: for example the black stripes on the sides, door handles, detailed tail lights etc.. Maybe the most challenging one was the front and the front bumper with brick built headlights. I tried to fill every unnecessary gaps and therefore some tricky build techniques are used. The car can be converted to submarine. The model has space for two minifigures with helmets or small hairs. The name is Bond, James Bond. Goldeneye the video game came out in July 1997 for the Nintendo 64 (developed by Rare). At that time it was a groundbreaking game. I have fond memories of playing this game's multiplayer. It has almost been 20 years since its release so I decided to recreate a scene of the game. I chose a scene of the mission in the Russian military archives where James Bond is locked up and interrogated. Back in October, Lego launched a James Bond-themed contest on Ideas. I didn't initially plan on entering, but ultimately got an idea that I thought was original and interesting enough. I mostly did that because I wanted to challenge myself and to try to do something difficult, something I had never done before, and didn't care about winning a prize. So I came up with a Lego rendition of M's bulldog statue, seen in Skyfall and Spectre : Now, obviously this is the real version. Here's my build : I initially wanted to use slopes and curved slopes to shape the flag, but it didn't look really good, so I decided to use plates instead. The studs would help erase the stairway effect created by the different layers of plates, and create a generally smoother shape. Plus, it would make the distinction between the dog and the flag clearer. When I found out - much to my surprise - that I ended up being one of the two Runner Up Winners, I decided I couldn't let my entry stay a digital build only, so I made a few changes to the model, ordered the necessary parts, and built a physical copy of the MOC : Most of the changes are invisible : some parts that don't exist yet have been swapped for parts that do exist (like the 1x3 jumper in red, or the 1x1-1x1 bracket in white), there's been a few structural changes to make it easier to attach the head and the chest to the body, and I've added a small pedestal that showcases the MOC better, and more importantly that helps securing the arms (otherwise they'd only be attached to the body with a single stud, and could easily fall off). Villa Del Balbianello is a lakeside villa in Italy built in 1785 expanding on an existing structure from the 13th century. With later additions added throughout the years such as relics added from an explorer. It was also featured in films such as Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and James Bond: Casino Royale (2006). Martin, Aston Martin. Kind of a tribute to the late Sir Sean Connery, the car he made famous or was it the other way around. Minifig scale, the colour is not the best but even Lego won't do it properly. I recently updated my "James Bond Parachute"-MOC and put new, digital instructions to Rebrickable (free download). I also built the MOC with real bricks, although I didn't have enough white string-parts, so I used the long black ones instead: Hope you like it! :) -

The headlights pop up and the chin spoiler goes up as missile launcher opens (between the headlights). I still have to do a periscope and the entire back end (where the props and rudders fold out). The hardest part will be getting the 4 stabilizers to pop out just above the wheels arch covers. -
True gentleman (let alone a secret agent) never misses the train. This diorama recreates the train chase scene from the James Bond movie «Skyfall». It was made for the Lego Ideas contest «Build Something Spectacular from the World of 007». The motion blur effect in the photos was achieved using practical effects. The main roles in this scene are played by several vehicles built in 1:30 scale: 1. Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab pickup; 2. Volkswagen Beetle (2012 version); 3. Caterpillar 320 excavator (2018 version). Thank you for your attention!

When I first saw the official Aston Martin DB5 set, I wasn't really impressed by it's looks. It's kinda blocky, there were some oddly placed parts, and the action features might have compromised on the interior and the overall shape of the car. Because of a James Bond contest on LEGO Ideas, an Aston Martin DB5 was needed in what I had wanted to build but it was all in chrome gold (You can check that out here). So I recolored it and that's how it looks like. The whole car is completely new build, with elements from the actual set. Changes were made to the sides of the car, I used the Ferrari F40 windscreen and added windows to the doors, the metal bumpers are new, the roof has a bit more curves and the interior is new and more detailed. Not saying the actual set is bad, in fact, as I was building this model, I had build the Aston Martin DB5 set for reference, and as I was recreating it, I was amazed at the engineering and technical ingenuity that went into the set. There were so many elements that had to be placed in weird angles and they were properly secured, especially in the window area. The window area in my re-creation is very flimsy and would fall apart when picked up. After building this MOC I had a newfound respect for the Aston Martin DB5 set and would say that it is one of the best cars that LEGO has created. (But still, couldn't the designer had just fit in a little more curves :D) Anyways, I think I have done a pretty good job in adding more curves and shape, although it could actually use some more. But if someone is able to create an even better version I would be thrilled!

Hello all together, I would like to present you my entry for the 14th Eurobricks Event Contest. The goal was to build a car in Speed Champions style. I did choose the Aston Martin DB5 007 Edition. I thought a regular car could be rather boring so I put in some action features that the car in the movies also has. I also made a VIDEO to show all the features. Greeting Comrades! So, I'm hearing a lot of stuff about a possible James Bond theme, seeming as he was going to be in Dimensions, but was never implemented as the game shut down. Now rumours of sets, at least one, are appearing? So is there anything definite about this? I've been dismissing it as all far-out speculation. Isn't the theme a bit too adult for LEGO sets, with all the death and that (Although the same could be said for any licensed theme, James Bond has quite gritty sections, like the torture in Casino Royale) So, does anyone have any more news for me to hear?
