Shobuda entered the building slowly, brushing past the creepers and vines near the garden entrance. "Otousama," he called. "Otousama, are you at home?" "Yes," came the reply, "I am over here, tending to the anthynia. I found some kuwagata larvae destroying the roots, and I..." The older man broke off as he stood and saw the young officer before him. "Why, Shobu-kun, have you been promoted?" Shobuda beamed. "Yes, father. I am a captain now." The older man smiled as the young man continued, "and we are going back! At long last!" The older man's smile faded instantly. "Going back? But...why? W-w-when?" "Reports have come in saying the zone is safe. Our departure date has not been announced, but Octan is already preparing. Our forces have been commanded to be ready at a moment's notice. Your presence in Kawashita's science branch would mean much toward discovering new species and..." He trailed off, as the older man turned away wordlessly, squatting to perch himself at the edge of the small fountain in the center of the greenhouse. "Are you not proud?" Shobuda asked. "I am proud, but my pride is overshadowed by worry." "You need not worry! The Kawashita High Command has assured us..." "And that is my worry!" The younger man stood in surprised silence, interrupted only when the older man asked, "for what noble deed did they advance your rank, musuko? For bravery and honor in conflict and battle?" "...Yes," Shobuda started, beaming again despite himself. "What conflict? What battle?" Came the retort. His question answered by his son's resumed silence, the old man continued. "There has been no conflict since the Gates were locked, and armed competition has been outlawed in this solar system. Why reward you now when the conflict has been over for months?" Again, the younger man remained silent, his proud grin becoming replaced with an angry scowl. "I presume many of your compatriots have also been promoted?" Shobuda gave a sharp nod. "The danger is real my son. Not danger of war, of sabotage, or of any human creation, but of greed. I believe you worthy of your promotion, Shobu-kun, but I do not believe your superiors would grant it to you upon merit. I see that they would rather buy your allegiance, that they may use you to enrich themselves." Incensed, Shobuda stood unflinching. His father slowly turned to face him, and when their eyes met, Shobuda could take it no longer. "You are an old man, and know nothing!" he cried. "The world has changed much since your time! You will sit idly by and watch, with your old ways, while I will inherit a new future!" "My son, please reconsider..." "No. I am going. I will prove myself and you will see! You stay here and waste away, I have worlds and riches before me!" Cursing under his breath, Shobuda turned and stormed out through the arbor. The older man sat silently, sadly, for several minutes. When he came to himself, he stood up wearily and returned to his work, collecting the kuwagata grubs in a basket. He had a game of Go in the afternoon, against an old ex-marine friend from Mantis. His eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, and his face covered by a ceremonial bulletproof ninja covering. He grunted at Captain Mesabi "Business?" Asked the Stormninja "Captain Mesabi. Secret Mission." Replied Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Head inside." The Stormninja moved aside New Orders by North White, on Flickr Captain Mesabi walked into the briefing room where Mister Baxter and Mister Fischer stood in front of a holographic console. New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Captain Mesabi. You're record precedes you." Said Mister Baxter "When other Kawashita team members in Andromeda went MIA, you kept up the fight." Said Mister Fischer "Thank you." Said Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "So let's go over your mission, Captain." Said Mister Baxter Mister Fischer pressed a button on the console. A blurry hologram of a space station appeared. New Orders by North White, on Flickr "This is the only image of a station located somewhere in Andromeda. It was created by the Omega Group, a mysterious group that has operated in the shadows since the first forays into Andromeda." Said Mister Fischer "We think they're developing a weapon. But that's just speculative." Said Mister Baxter "So you want me to?" Asked Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Find it. It must have sustained damage in the radiation flares, so personal on the station may have been evacuated. But again, this is all speculative." Said Mister Baxter New Orders by North White, on Flickr "And once I've found it?" Asked Captain Mesabi "Report back to Headquarters. A ship will be provided, once the portal to Andromeda is reopened." Said Mister Fischer "Ready your crew. Prepare them well." Said Mister Baxter "Thank you sirs, I'll leave immediately." Said Captain Mesabi "And one more thing. Octan will be looking for this as well. Stay vigilant." Said Mister Fischer Captain Mesabi left, his mind only on the new mission. Oh, and fun fact, the doors actually work in this build. I just felt like telling y'all that.

:: A leader lost – Part III :: :: Guinevere :: Astonished, I looked at the gate showing a Jules Verne like “Journey to the Centre of the Earth”. The temptation was pulling me towards the glowing centre of the portal. When I reached the portal at four feet the gravity pulled me further in and before I knew it a bright flash took me into a wormhole. Steaks of red, orange and yellow sucked me into a fifteen minute flight through nothingness, until my feet felt rocky soil. The lit stripes were replaced by a glowing sun. Blue sky everywhere, white clouds and the damped atmosphere pearled small drops on my harness. From my backpack I pulled the binoculars. The hi-tech gear didn’t seem to work. The energy was lost in the journey here. The same applied to every other piece of equipment I brought. All batteries and energy packs dried out. Even my plasma gun couldn’t fire a single shot. So I have to rely on my keen eyes and bare hands for protection. The small cliff that I was standing on, gave me an excellent view of the area. Small streams, green meadows, tall treelines and grey mountains. It looks like home, but prettier. Unimpaired. When I turned around to see what the gate would look like from this angle, there was only a silhouette of the portal. Stone carved, but no energy. No portal, no way back. What now?

I hoped to do a lot more building for AG, unfortunately I just don't have the time to do so. But when SHIPtember came up, I thought let's give it a try and build a spaceship. And what's a space if it's not build by the Kawashita Group So keep this up, with all the awesome mocs all you guys are building here. I'm still lurking in the shades to pop up now and than... The Palinurus Scouting Frigate; Narwhal Class Length: 114 studs Width: 20 studs Armament: 2 Gepard Plasma Turret Stations(GPTS) 2 Long distance Rail Mortars 2 Close Range Pulsar Blasters 1 GBU-43/B Ordinance Cannon Crew: 1 Commander(Maroc) 2 Technicians 3 Commandos Details: And of course it has an interior as well Scout bikes. Sentry and flight mode: Mech assembly bot. Mech, normal mode. Mech flight mode. Mech destructor mode And although most of us won't admit playing with LEGO. Ofcourse we only build with it. It's hard to not go nuts swooshing with all of this

:: A leader lost – Part II :: :: Guinevere :: More days past behind the screens of the library, until I crossed some documents of a similar case decades ago. When he dug into the story deeper he found out it was his ancestor Nar Bilu of Hemresa, Lord of Avalonia who was stung by a creature. Tales told it was a curse, but we now know better than that. Those same stories told it was a person from far away who cured him. Those terms could mean two things, he was not from Historica or not from that planet. Further investigation of the documents tells me that the latter is more reliable. Days went by, trying to find out what cured my great grandfather, after who I was named. I had to translate dozens of files from languages I’ve never seen before, but... I found something that seems like an answer. There is a cave here on Guinevere, which carries an odd plant. That mixed with the essence of Biomass, should do the trick. I assessed myself and decided that I have gained enough strength to burden myself with an exploration mission on Guinevere. Try to find the cave. I packed a gun, binoculars, a vile of Biomass essence and a medikit. The hoover-scooter took me upon the surface of craters, lava streams and erupting volcanoes until I found a couple of mountains with caves on a quiet piece of the planet. The directions in the documents were not very clear, but research pointed me to this location. The first few caves were not fertile enough to support any form of life, but when I searched for the fourth cave I was surrounded by fungi and trees. Initially I found the cave. The entrance was build, with some sort of technology and when I approached it, it came to life. It lit up and behind it, I saw green meadows, trees, water and a building. My curiosity couldn’t withstand the temptation. To be continued...

:: A06 Guinevere :: :: A leader lost - part 1 :: Since Narbilu was stabbed by the alien on Hyreal, he hasn't been huimself. Although the recovery of his injuries are improving, the alien must have injected some kind of toxin into his body giving him moodswings and agonizing pains in his spine. The day he was released from the medical centre, he took the first vessel to Guinevere. The species on that planet has some kind of ancient archive. For over two weeks in a row, Narbilu read every file there was to find on curing anomoly and toxin... but in the process he stumbled upon something related to his past. To be continued...

Planet: A04 Mynderis The crew of the Landship are anxious. It has been two days since Lieutenant Okura went missing. While the droids search, all they can do is wait. Sir? Have they found her? Unfortunately not. Then why are you here? I was very clear. "Do not disturb me unless you have good news." Well, sir, you are needed on the bridge by command. I hate command. This is not good news. I know, sir. Oh you, Doctor! You've got lovely eyes too! Out of my way! Commander. Vice Admiral. You are being dispatched on- No! You know very well that we are searching for a crew member here! Commander, the transport ship will pick you up shortly. You will either make the drop, or you will be stranded on Mynderis. Your crew will perish and die with you. But what about the Lieutenant? She is dead, Commander. You know this as well as I do. People don't just vanish without a trace without sending out distress signals. She is gone, and you are going to make the drop. What if I refuse? Sir, we can't get stranded. I have a wife and a son. The Vice Admiral is right, Miss Okura is probably beyond rescue. Certainly, she is not here, the droids are very thorough. I don't like this at all. But I won't force you to stay. We will make the drop. ~~~ He has a wife?

:: Retreive and Treat :: :: Hyreal to Sorn :: Inside the Hummer the com operative received a distress call. Besides that, he didn’t have contact with Narbilu the last thirty minutes, which concerned him. Three minutes ago he already rallied up a task force to search and extract the Kawashita Group CEO from the last checkpoint. The distress call was only two clicks away from that last checkpoint, so the team was lucky enough to reach the exact location where the fallen leader bathed in a pool of his own blood. The critters who were eating from the lifeless body were easily scared away, one even got killed in the process. The medic fitted landing craft loaded up a barely breathing and heavily bleeding Narbilu. Fortunately, within a minute, they were onboard the Hummer orbiting space, docking the Collision. The onboard medic decided to take their leader to Sorn, where one of the high end hospitals of the Kawashita Group is located. The Collision jumped a few gates and Sorn was in sight. Preparations were already at full blast. They operated on him for days and the next three weeks, Narbilu was in a coma instated rest, before he had the strength to open his own eyes. When he did, the first thing he did, was summon his loyal right hand man Commander Turtle. Commander Turtle hasted to Sorn to speak to Narbilu. Loyal friend, it is still unclear how my body reacts to the poison the creatures injected me with. If I will be able and regain strength to stand before my people to address them, command them or even participate in operations. I grant you the position of acting CEO until my destiny is unfolded. You are the one who is best informed about what Kawashita Group’s goals are. You can encourage people, you have the diplomatic skills and you know how our organization is fitted. Take this responsibility with honor. I will somehow get my strength back, we have excellent doctors, but I don’t know how long it will take. Godspeed, for honor & glory. Narbilu closes his eyes and falls into a deep sleep.

:: Kawashita Group Hummer KG8 :: - troop dropship - The Hummer is a troop dropship which can carry 8 soldiers in four detachable cabins, which makes it easy to scatter scouts around a small area of interest. In the main hull the Hummer can store rations, ammo and two smaller or one large ground vehicle. If necessary the vehicles can be exchanged for an additional 20 seats suitable for troops. The cockpit seats only two pilots, but with the two hull crew and an engineer included that makes a total of five standard crew members and one squadron of troops. Four Hummers are assigned to every Collision colonization ship of which Narbilu commands one of. The Hummer is capable of GATE jumping, but docked to the Collision it moves around far more efficient. But when the Hummer is undocked it glides through space and atmosphere with such grace it can outmanoeuvre most smaller fighters. The thrust engine can drop the Hummer to ground level within seconds when the Collision enters close orbit of any planet. inside cockpit troop cabin side engine

After 2 hours of overseeing, Bossk returns to the local outpost for reporting and refueling. "Kawashita Outpost, here is KLF Tsubasa asking for permission to land" "Tsubasa, here is A-M-K-O, permission granted. Welcome on Arium Minor" "Captain, I spotted some interesting wreckage in the sub-sector XC-28, I think it needs a deeper investigation." "Ok Lieutenant. I order to send right now a vehicle. Take a rest, you will embark in the Gurifon in 1h to return to the KSD Eiko, we need you to continue to fight the alien fleet"

I've uploaded myself into a drone, and... a portion of your conscious has replaced what's left in the cyborg pilot." [Zoid crewman] "Pilot! Answer me! Why haven't we started our descent?" [Hannibal] "Dora? I don't understand. I died!" [Dora] "You're not going to understand everything right now, John. When MANTIS uploaded a portion of your brain, they didn't know I was in there and could help us escape into their network. Because we make up such a large and complex data file, I had to scatter portions of ourselves throughout Andromeda. So there's a version of us moving through their network where you are having explain this predicament to me because different portions of us are at work." [Zoid crewman] "What the heck are you talking about! You're GONNA die if I have to come up there and drag you out of that cockpit." [Dora] "Hold on John. You haven't gotten use to your ability to speak and have alerted the crewman. I'm going to launch the drone." [Hannibal] "Oh, sorry Dora." [Zoid crewman] "You better not be calling me Dora you short circuiting half droid. I am the nephew of the viceroy of..." [Dora] "Not a problem, John. I know you're probably quite confused right now. Besides, short term memory is going to be a struggle for a while since they didn't map that portion of your brain. You're also going to have to get use to a lot of virtual processing techniques we AIs use. Banking port." [Hannibal] "Are you sure it was smart to kill the crewman? I have no idea how to fly this thing, which seems kind of weird. Wasn't I a pilot?" [Dora] "Like I said, we could only move you around in portions; your memory associated with piloting is still out there somewhere looking for a physical form to escape through. I'll release enough of this cyborg's brain to get us to the surface. I'm hopeful that more of your consciousness will be able to make it's way into Kawashita's mainframe. Their cyborgs are a good way for us to get enough physical controls to escape." [Hannibal] "Where to now?" [Dora] "We've got to make it back to Octan without getting shot down outright. From there, I think I know who will be able to get all your parts back into one body."

I was totally zoning out about that croissant." Ender had been exploring the frozen wastes of Marden when he had spied a MANTIS patrol. He geared up and went out to tell them to get off his planet. He met up with the patrol in a red-tree field. (Judges, please note that the Green Mech is reused.) After some aggressive negotiations, MANTIS was persuaded to leave the area.

Col. Brik continues to buy up any and every ancient or rare ship he can get his hands on. With his wealth acquired as a high level Kawashita employee he is spending it as fast as he made it. "So this is a ancient, top secret stealth land vehicle that runs on human effort alone? Takes no fuel and cannot be picked up on radar?" "Correct, very high tech, trust us. Our civilization traveled long distances to find this rare vehicle. It is worth the price we want. Are you prepared for us to unveil it for you?" "Sure....why not." "Behold, our rare land vehicle!" "I'm sorry guys, I think I might pass on this one."
