UCS All Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST) As featured in the The Return of the Jedi and Empire Strikes Back • by Corey Schaaf | BrickWars.net I started on this project in January of 2024. It's always my goal to try to build something that hasn't been attempted before. However, the AT-ST has been designed numerous times by the LEGO group. When I tackle something, my goal isn't for playability, but rather displayability. What makes this design so challenging is the front weight of the cockpit. While this build can stand on it's own (gravity gives it a much more menacing firing pose). I wasn't comfortable with the stress on the bricks. Because of this, I developed a clear stand. I must say, at first I thought it would detract from the build, but the details with the Forest Moon of Endor, coupled with the scale of the build, makes it blend in nicely. Like most builds, sometimes we have to sacrifice some screen accuracy for stability. In reality, the legs hinge like an accordion off the base. To achieve a similar result, I cheated and didn't leave any separation between the legs. I still created the look of the accordion connections, which enabled me to bridge the legs together for more stability. I once again worked with a manufacturer for a custom case (BrixBox.ltd), in addition to my signature Printed UCS Plaques and unique serialized tiles as well as UCS Stickers. Here are my two Star Wars GBC Modules BB-8, and more recently Trench Run. Trench run was built from scratch and my first attempt at "greebling" something. Creating the small ships was also an interesting challenge, as I've never seen an X-Wing done this way before (especially because it uses one of the new parts for 2018). Here is an image of the micro scale ships I built. And the video is below BB-8 was built from the 75187 set, which I gutted and installed a ball pump and a light up welding torch. I kept the dimensions of the original stand but rebuilt it out of Technic for strength.

Hey guys, Here's my latest module. It's a simple conveyor in the Lego Star Wars theme, which depicts the famous trench run scene in Star Wars Episode 4. There is an X-Wing, Y-Wing, Tie Fighters and Vaders Tie Advanced. Mechanically the conveyor is very simple. Surprisingly, animating the Turbo Laser took quite a bit of time to get the movement and speed to something I was happy with. Images and Video below. -
This is my upscale Imperial Shuttle, not quite mini figure scale, but close. I have finally built it after my original UCS set was in many pieces, something i regret not finishing as i was going through my "lego dark age" when i received it. The shuttle can fit one figure in the head and around 6 in the main body. The ramp extends down and has enough headspace for a mini figure to stand under it. The landing gear is retractable, and can also be mounted on a stand. The only issue with this design is that i underestimated the strength of the gear system. The wings are heavier then expected, thus the gear box can't lower and raise the wings with out carful assistance. It is strong enough to hold the wings in place, however. Perhaps when i feel brave in the future i will modify it and add an extra 2 gear boxes to strengthen it. More photos on my Flickr.

As a fan of genuine Lego parts, I decided to moc the sentry gun featured mostly in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 games and in the Clone Wars animated series. Below is a video tutorial of building this machine gun.

One of my favourite recent Star Wars ship designs has to be the Carrion Spike which appeared in some of the Marvel comics: unlike a lot of the rusty ships bits of junk that are iconic to star wars, the ship has a very streamlined narrow spear like shape. Since I was such a fan of this design, I decided to build a model using the Carrion Spike as inspiration for SHIPtember. As I'm sure most of you've realised SHIPtember has come and gone and it's been almost half a year since the deadline so why the holdup? I'd love to say that I'd been slaving away improving the model but in truth I just never got around to posting it. So here it (finally) is, the Nomad's Spear. The Nomad's Spear was a ship in service to the New Republic shortly after The Battle Of Endor, one of a line of ships which were designed based on stolen Imperial blueprints to create a cloaked and exceptionally lightweight and speedy corvette, which, thanks to it's highly powered engines, could quickly sneak through Imperial blockades undetected to deliver aid until these planets could be liberated. As a result of its stealth abilities and the peaceful nature of its normal missions, the ship lacked any sort of offensive firepower. Furthermore, a lack of particularly bulky shields meant the ship saw limited service outside of delivering supplies. Following the Battle of Jakku and the widespread collapse of any remaining Imperial holdouts, the mercy missions the corvettes were tasked with became increasingly infrequent and these rare few ships became increasingly uncommon. Most found themselves deconstructed or left in hangars but the Nomad's Spear was redrafted into supporting New Republic fleets. Technicians and mechanics removed armour from the already vulnerable cockpit area and the plating in front of the engines to get better access to the ship's systems. This allowed them to fine tune the craft and increase shield output, helping the ship survive many missions over its 10 year service to the New Republic before new models made the ship obsolete. Hope you enjoyed that little backstory I quickly came up with. Sadly since this these pictures have been sat on my computer for ages, I can't really get anymore images of this MOC but since I had to make the spine of the structure sturdy there wasn't really any interior to see.

So I built this MOC of the A-Wing inspired by its snazzy blue colour scheme in Star Wars Rebels a while ago and it's sat on my shelf for a few weeks. I finally got around to finishing the back area of it although I'm not too pleased with how the engines turned out. Most of this was built from memory without comparing it constantly to reference pictures so I took a few "creative liberties" with the ship like with the guns on the sides. Also, I don't have any tiles in blue and didn't want to make any bricklink orders so I used bricks instead, hence why it doesn't feature the pointed tip the actual ship does (let's just say the rebels modified it). Three years ago, I bought a large amount of the exclusively new "Kashyyyk battle pack" sets. Agreed by everyone, the primary reason for these sets were the highly detailed Scout trooper, whilst lurking in the background, remained the non-cannon Kashyyyk clone trooper. Although, the value for the ordinary troop barely suffices over £5, there was a rather stranger peculiar misprint, which was briefly spotted 2 days prior construction. This misprint, annoyingly encouraged me to discard the misprint, however with conversations with Lego, a replacement was offered. Fortunately, I still have this misprinted helmet piece, where the front facing detail is reversed, meaning that the front helmet is plain, olive green, whilst the detailing is behind. I return again, now with backup for the Imperial troops and maybe this time the Rebels won't succeed in taking down AT-AT's The All Terrain Anti-Aircraft is making it's entrance on the battlefield with guns blazing, these low profile walkers serverd the sole purpose of defending armor columns against aerial threats. Because of this it's outfitted with a single flak pod on the roof of the walker, which can fire multiple ordnances like concussion missiles. Here you can see the side view of my AT-AA Design. A closer view on the Turret mounted on top that can be aimed at almost every threat possible. Here you see the back with some exhausts and a ramp that gives acces to the insides of the walker. And the ramp can be seen extended here, it actually can be used, so not only for show. And as last but not least the insides of the AT-AA, on the bottem right you can see equipment racks. And in the cockpit you can see both the chairs of the driver and the gunner, with my characteristic cockpit design. I built this and posted it almost 2 years ago and now I've finally finished rebuilding it digitally and completing instructions (with a few minor finishing touches to the build), so I thought it might warrant a whole new post after all this time! The Rogue Shadow from The Force Unleashed games, made with a total of 9200 parts and a full interior using the only floorplan in existence. The ship is just under 1m long (96.9cm) and according to Stud.io it weighs in at 9.69kg. Complete with Starkiller's private Darkside focus chamber, large training room, engine/hyperdrive room, crew lounge, workshop, passenger beds, medical bay and of course a detailed flight deck and more - I've included every piece of information about the ship that I could acquire; from it's huge stygium crystal which powers the cloaking device to how many crew can live on it. This is a comprehensive, detailed build, solid enough to pick up with 2 hands - there's an awful photo of me holding the original build somewhere! This is a small UT-60D U-wing I designed. It's 736 pieces, so I would say that it is close in size to the official U-wing set from a couple years ago. I wanted to make something that looked really clean and sleek. I tried to get it as accurate as I could as this small scale. The cockpit has room for a single pilot, and the seating bay has room for 4 people. There are 4 seats back there, but they can be taken out if need be. The way to access the interior is to simply pull off the long top portion of the model. The wings can go all the way into flight mode and back. The only thing is that there is no connection point for the wings to stay put when moving the model around. So when flying it or moving it around, one would have to have a hand next to the wing to stop it from going wherever gravity wants it to. I guess a tiny piece of tape would fix the issue, but for display purposes, I didn't consider it to be a big deal. This is my UCS-like version of the Z-95 Headhunter from the Clone Wars. It is 937 pieces + 125 pieces for the stand. The Z-95 is a pretty sleek starfighter and I wanted to give it that clean look that it has in the Clone Wars show. I think I did a decent job at that - there are not many studs showing and the starfighter overall looks pretty sleek. I did also add in landing gear. There are 3 - one in the front and two towards the back. They can retract when you no longer need them. There is also a little slot in the bottom of the starfighter for the stand to go. There isn't actually a connection; you just place the starfighter right on top of the stand. *This entry has earned 7 XP* Since our confrontation onboard the Fire Star, we had been very successful on the planet below, we had taken multiple outposts and recon points, which were all adding up to a better prepared attack on the capital. Although we had taken the majority of the stations, some rebels who'd escaped when we'd attacked had caused some issues. These were not major, as no reinforcements could be called as the Fire Star were jamming coms on the part of the planets surface, but there was the occasional attack to try and retake what was theirs. Although the last time they tried, the rebels were very unlucky. The platform that they attacked had a small military base nearby which were occupied by the special forces of our legion, these troopers signified by there blue arms and specialist armour, were elite soldiers who were to protect me and carry out special missions on whatever we were trying to achieve. When rebels attacked this next outpost, they wouldn't be returning again.

We entered the bridge onboard the star destroyer The Fire Star, approaching the grand off that would soon give us our objective and our orders. At this point the Fire Star was orbiting Kowak, a planet that had for too long accepted and helped with the attacking of imperial vessels and facilities on Kowak, and throughout the galaxy. It was time to strike back. Moff Delstee had informed me that My legion and I would be sent down to Kowak stealthily to perform and number of tasks vital to the Triumvirates overthrowing of the world. I was told that first we would be dropped off just outside the capital, in the dense forests and jungles, we were then to slowly move in undetected, taking outposts and small military bases located on the way.this meant that it would be less dangerous when we were in the capital itself and that we would be better prepared because of the supplies that we would get from them, and how well they were defended themselves. Once we had done that we were to start entering the city, taking civilian buildings and hostages as we went, once this had been achieved, we would be given our next set of orders. With our tasks assigned, we headed out towards the armoires and docking bays, getting our weapons, feeling our ships. It was time to take over Kowak.
