I was never a huge fan of this ship... but once I started modeling, I couldn't stop. It's a unique ship in terms of shape, and, at only 39 studs, it's at a very manageable scale. Same scale as @Kristof's Venator. This is one that I plan to build, and I'm confident in its rigidity, despite the skeletal structure. Admittedly, the gray 3x3x2 dome top (pn 88293) is too tall for the rear armor plating, but I didn't like the blocky aesthetic of the alternatives. A 3x3x1 dome top would be ideal, or even a wedge 3x3 variant of pn 43708, but, alas, we can't have everything in life. Renders UPDATE: Here's a shot of the build next to Kristof's Venator. More images of the Munificent build can be found in the replies.

See replies in this thread for any NEW models Models in this thread - SHADOW CASTER PHANTOM II PELTA-CLASS FRIGATE IMPERIAL GOZANTI-CLASS CRUISER QUASAR-CLASS CARRIER IMPERIAL TROOP TRANSPORT GHOST & PHANTOM INTERDICTOR CRUISER TIE DEFENDER MINING GUILD TIE FIGHER ARC CANNON AT-DP PROTOTYPE (NEW) LAAT/le PATROL GUNSHIP (NEW) SHADOW CASTER Hello again everyone This week I present the Shadow Caster a Lancer-class pursuit craft - the ship of Bounty Hunter Ketsu Onyo from the excellent (well last 3 series anyway) Star Wars Rebels animated series. I was ill a while back and my attention span at the time was only an hour or so so watching a few Rebels episodes at a time fit nicely. It made me realise that there were a lot of vehicles from the animated series, not just Rebels, that I have not built or could update form my old collection so this is the first of many from this genre so keep an eye open. This is not a very tricky build, The difficult part was getting the colour scheme right whilst not making the model too thick. The new maccaroni tile pieces and 6x3 semi circle plates certainly helped with that once I realised that they existed. I tend to find out about new parts now when my son gets a new set! I think i have the overall shape and dimensions just about right. I am surpised an official minifig scale set of this was not made. As this was not the case I have also had to build a Ketsu Onyo minifig from official parts for the display. This is not my speciality so if anyone can think of better minifigure parts let me know. Anyway, enough waffle, here is the model. Let me know what you think. Jon

Hi there! Like many others I ordered the Mini as soon as it was available. It is a great piece of kit, since I´m very fond the BRG-color I was really happy when it was presented. I think the designer has done a really good job overall - considering the limitations of Lego. It has some drawbacks though; The rear end just doesn't look right, the angles are a bit off. The engine bay is nothing but horrible, the lack of detail is just - well bad. Therefor I've made some customization's, to get it a bit more like I want it. I've tried to get the rear end to look more like the original car, I've changed the tail lights since they were completely off. I have to admit thought I'm not 100% satisfied, but at least i think its better than out-of-the-box. The tailpipe is relocated and enlarged a bit to get the car a little more attitude when seen from behind. I've also moved the fog light since I made it left hand drive - the main reason for this was because i wanted to be able to fit the steering-servo, with reservoir inside the engine bay. And this was not doable due to the air-intake hose. I've redone the front grille to get some more space for the engine-components, but I hope it doesn't show to much from the outside. I fitted some extra lights, (rally-style) and put some covers on them. And yes I've changed to "Mini-lites" to golden ones, this may not be liked by some - but I think the contrast lifts the BRG-color even more. I've also moved the wheels out 1/2 stud to better fill the wheel arches. Well I think that's is whats done to the outside, lets talk a bout the engine bay: New engine block Side mounted radiator, with hose and thermostat Air intake hose, plenum and injection New spark plug cables Steering servo with reservoir Washer fluid reservoir Fuse box Exhaust manifold, (although It cannot be seen in the picture, but it is there) In addition to changing the front grille, I've also made the hood thinner to get enough space for the redesigned engine bay. Well - enough talking, here are the pictures - hope you like them! Cheers!

I started playing around with the idea of European style semi truck again. I built a prototype to test the chassis design with motors side by side. The core idea here is that both motors are oriented towards back so you can put the medium Technic frame on top of them as well as have cables managed up front. EDIT: final version of the semi: Instructions: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-90482 (RC Semi Tractor) https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-90484 (Box Trailer) Update: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-152433 (Manual Semi Tractor) The first iteration/prototype: Prototype showcase: It'll take some time before I'll finish the whole semi truck build, but I prepared the instructions for the chassis so you can build it. Instructions are available for free on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-86118 Sneak peek of the instructions:

Here it is, the second entry by my daughter Sydney and myself! Steve would take a slightly different career path, so to acknowledge the next step in his journey we had to do a mini build of the Skull’s Eye Schooner (6286). Sydney did most of the build and I helped with some of the complicated parts like the rope (boy are they finicky in BrickLink Studio). And I gave her some tips like using the hats as Jolly Roger flags. Here are some other views: Now I wanted to get the creative critics to help with the next part. I used Part Design to apply decals to a variety of pieces. I also did a little brick-stack Steve. I’d like everyone’s opinion on which looks best and if you feel they are the right scale or not. A huge thanks to all the participants and hosts of this contest for making it fun and engaging! Cheers Mateys! [Edit] I used the clear-square block with decals to complete the pirate crew. 10 extra pieces puts the count just below 200. And to finish off this entry I placed the figs on the ship and recreated the box art from the original 1993 set! I also adjusted the main sail by applying a decal to a 3x3 tile. This saved a few parts so the grand total (figs included) is approx 190pcs.

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I posted anything as work and life has been rather busy. I have been building in that time just that not got round to taking photos (bad ones) writing this essay etc. I return with an update of 6 models from Seasons 2 &3 of The Bad Batch. Let’s start with season 2. AT-AC The All Terrain Armored Cannon (AT-AC), was a bipedal walker used by the ground forces of the Galactic Empire during the early Imperial Era. The walker was an early model in the production line that would eventually produce the AT-ST (RoTJ) and AT-DP (Rebels). The front of the head of this walker reminds me of the Imperial Troop Transport. There are no real tricks for this one although I have used the ball joints for the top joint of the legs. I don’t know why I have not used these before on walkers…… Displayed with an Echo minifigure. REMORA The Remora was a transport utilized by Echo during his time with the Clone Underground. The ship was once a mining vessel that had been retrofitted for stealth infiltration, making it ideal for insertion and extraction missions. The high-speed ship was also equipped with a detachable leech vessel (which I have also included). The design of this is based on the Meson Martinet captained by Sidon Ithano and briefly seen in Force Awakens and later in Resistance (I have built that too but that’s for another day). Again, no real tricks for this one, although I like the use of those technic pieces for the engines. A custom Fireball clone figure is used for the display. Now on to Season 3. CX DAGGER VESSEL The CX Dagger vessel was used by the Clone X trooper division of the Galactic Empire in around 18 BBY. It was dagger-shaped and featured twin red-colored engines in the back. A really simple little build. Only little trick is that the dark grey engine section is attached to the rest of the body by the two prongs at the back and is not connected to the large wedges at the front. This was to keep the thickness to a minimum. I am not overly happy with this one but not sure how else to build it in this scale. Displayed with a custom CX Trooper. The helmet is from the General Zod minifigure with the chrome removed using peroxide and then scraped gently with a craft knife. I would rather use official pieces but there was nothing close. IMPERIAL RESEARCH VESSEL This was a type of Imperial transport utilized for the capture, containment and transport of various cloning experiments conducted by the Advanced Science Division. It was manned by Imperial commandos led by Imperial royal guards. One such transport, transport 904, saw its Zillo Beast "Specimen A" escape while traveling in hyperspace forcing it to crash. Another fairly simple build and probably my favourite build of this batch (pun intended). There are a couple of little tricks, like using the door rail plates to fill in gaps when the model goes to 3 studs wide at the front. I also like the use of the horizontal hinge for the bridge at the front. The front prongs are attached using bars and bricks with one stud. Displayed with a custom Dr Hemlock minifigure. No mutilations this time, just labels. ASAJJ VENTRESS’ SHIP The ship had a unique silhouette due to the uneven wings of its fuselage. Outfitted with proton torpedo launchers for escaping dangerous entanglements, the uneven wings on either side of the fuselage cut a silhouette as unique as the ship’s captain. This was a fun build. It was a challenge to keep the wings only two studs high but managed with interlocking parts. The brackets for the engines also helped with the stability. The main trick was for the tie fighter like panels and how to attach them. Took a bit of tinkering but using brackets, clip tiles and plates with handles I finally found something that worked. I also like the use of those tooth pieces for the part of the engines on the wings. Due to the wingspan this model could have seriously got out of hand size wise. Displayed with a custom Ventress figure (all official parts!). PROVIDENCE The Providence was a starship owned by the pirate and treasure hunter Phee Genoa. It has that Star Wars Ugly feel with what is obviously the engine section from an Imperial Shuttle of some sort. Quite a simple build with the tail held together along an umbrella stand bar. The front section is built around brackets. The Phee minifigure for the display is built with all official parts. The hair is from a mini doll. Let me know what you think Cheers, Jon Link to the full Bad Batch Gallery below: https://bricksafe.com/pages/obijon/bad-batch

Hi All, First post here, so forgive me if this is in the wrong place, etc. I read through the 'READ THIS FIRST' posts and looked around a bit, so I think this is the correct place for these! I spent the last couple weeks on and off working on a set of Star Wars Micofighers, building, rebuilding, changing, stripping, rebuilding, tweaking, etc. After building several of them, I decided to create a custom set with unique color schemes and call them the "Shadow Squadron." (Also considered "Wraith Squadron" and "Stealth Squadron", but according to Wookieepedia, both of those were alternate names for Wedge Antilles' "Gray Squadron") Beyond that, I actually put a lot of thought into the types of weapons I had on each one as well. I have hyperlinks to Wookieepedia with explanations for each specific weapon. If you really want to read about them, feel free to do so! If not, by all means ignore the links =) At the very bottom of the post, I put an index of the specific piece and the corresponding weapon I imagined it to be. Sorry for this being a HUGELY long post. Wanted to get enough pics in to show it all! My internal goals were to have the following items factor into each: Must be able to hold a mini-figure Mostly Blue and Black color schemes Highlights in transparent red Place for two lightsabers to attach on each vehicle Blue or Clear wedge piece for the windshield Keep the same overall structure as the original Star Wars ships but modify the weaponry Regarding weapons, have a CONSISTENT rationale for why I used a specific piece for a weapon and keep them consistent across ships (What piece = a laser canon vs ion cannon vs turbo laser, etc) If possible, customize the design so it's not just copying an existing LEGO set with different colors Overall the squad consists of: Millennium Falcon (Custom design with lots of different features and weapons) X-Wing (Custom design and modified weapons; I tried to make it significantly different than the current X-Wing Microfighters available.) Tie Silencer (Heavily Modified version of Kylo Ren's Microfighter [Set 75196] with custom weapons) Tie Bomber (Custom design with slightly modified weapons) A-Wing (Least modified of the bunch, based on the A-Wing Microfighter [Set 75196], just updated colors and guns a bit) AT-ST with a Tiny Tie Fighter and Tie Advanced escort drones (AT-ST similar to [Set 30054], Tie Fighter similar to [Set 3219], Custom Tie Advanced) Here's the the Stealth Squadron on a stand that I put together. Individual pictures of each ship along with design/weapon details are also below. Fighter #1: Millennium Falcon Completely custom design Instead of the main Quad Laser Cannon, it has a modified Compact Superlaser turret One Laser-Beam Cannon on each side of the main turret (Sustained beams of energy instead of just bolts) Two front mounted ion cannons just above the jaws Diamond Boron Missile Launchers between the jaws Cluster Bomb Launchers on the front and rear (Clear round studs) Two Distortion Field Emitters on each side jaw Modified satellite dish with an Ion Cluster Bomb launcher (Clear blue round stud) Side mounted Turbo Laser and twin Chainguns concealed inside the doors (Used especially for ground support while circling a target - Think AC-130 style) Side mounted twin Laser Cannons just above the Turbo Laser Heavy Shield generator Concussion missile in front of the cockpit Diamond Boron Missile launcher with a Void-7 Seismic Charge attached, mounted on the back of the main turret. It can rotate to be launched forward as well. Repulsorlifts on the bottom for hovering Opening Bay Door with a Drone inside (Drone equipped with Laser Cannons and a Proton Beam Cannon) Detachable cockpit that can be flown independently (Equipped with two Laser Cannons, a Concussion missile launcher, cloaking device, and shield) Hyperdrive and sub-light engine as well as an Afterburner for sub-light speed boosts Four 90-degree swivel Laser Cannons on the rear corners Side doors open to reveal the two Chainguns used mainly for infantry support Opening the Bay Door to let the drone out Detachable cockpit turns into a speeder Fighter #2: X-Wing Custom Design Design, I tried to make is significantly different than other Microfighter X-Wing models A Turbo Laser Cannon underneath the front of the ship Two Laser Cannons just in front of the cockpit on the sides Ion Cluster Bomb launcher on each side of the cockpit Two front-facing laser cannons close to the body on the lower wings Two rear-facing laser cannons close to the body on the lower wings Instead of standard Laser Cannons at the end of each wing, it's using experimental Turbo Laser-Beam Cannon (I made these up, but basically think Turbo Laser with a sustained beam) Hyperdrive and sub-light engines as well as an Afterburner for sub-light speed boosts Two rear-facing laser cannons above the Afterburner Cloaking Device Heavy Shield Generator (Underneath) Hyperdrive and sub-light engine Attack Position Cruise Position Showing the adjustable Turbo Laser Cannon Fighter #3: Tie Silencer Modified version of Kylo Ren's Microfighter [Set 75196] Adjustable wings with multiple attack positions depending on the situation Experimental Turbo-Laser Chaingun (Front Center, yes I made this one up too) Two Proton Torpedo launchers (Flanking the chaingun) Two Turbo Lasers (Flanking the torpedo launchers) Two Ion Cannons (above the turbo lasers) Two Laser Cannons (Next to the cockpit Two Adjustable Turbo Lasers which also have modified Diamond Boron Missile launchers and are fully adjustable to fire up/down/sideways/backwards Four rear-facing Laser Cannons on the back tip of each wing Cloaking Device Hyperdrive and sub-light engine Repulsorlifts on the bottom for hovering Wings Adjusted to alternate attack position Adjustable Turbo Laser Cannons showing that they can shoot sideways if necessary Fighter #4: Tie Bomber Custom Design Twin Laser Cannons with Concussion Missile Launchers One additional Laser Cannon directly in front of the cockpit Standard Proton Bombs Heavy Shield Generator Fighter #5: A-Wing Slightly Modified design of the A-Wing Microfighter [Set 75196] Upgraded Turbo-Laser Cannons with Flash suppressors Proton Bomb in the back Swivel droid head =D Other than that, it's a pretty standard A-Wing Fighter #6: AT-ST with Tiny Tie Fighter and Tie Advanced escort drones Inspiration for the AT-ST [Set 30054], Tie Fighter [Set 3219], and custom Tie Advance AT-ST has Twin Turbo Laser Cannons with Flash suppressors Ion Cannon Dual Thermal Detonator Launcher Distortion Field Emitter Cluster Bomb Launcher Compact Superlaser turret Red Power Crystal Tie Fighter and Tie Advance Escorts equipped with dual mini Laser Cannons, rear-facing dual Thermal Detonator Launcher, and a rear-facing Laser Cannon, as well as heavy shield generators for ground troop support Weapon Index Compact Superlaser turret = Piece that looks like a Blaster/Drill Laser-Beam Cannon = Walkie-Talkies Ion Cannons= Lego Levers/Antennas Diamond Boron Missile = Black Cone Cluster Bomb Launchers = Clear round studs Distortion Field Emitters = Hinge Piece with single finger Turbo Laser = Round "Pin" Technic piece Chainguns = Axel "+" Technic Piece Laser Cannons = Tube connector Ion Cluster Bomb launcher = Clear Light Blue round stud Heavy Shield generator = Clear Dish Concussion missile = Black Cone Void-7 Seismic Charge = Clear Blue Cylinder Repulsorlifts = Flat Round Slider pieces Proton Beam Cannon = Lego Brick Gun with studs on the side Cloaking device = Clear Dark Blue 1x2 flat piece Experimental Turbo Laser-Beam Cannon = Long Lego Antenna Afterburner = Socket side of the Ball and Socket joints Proton Torpedo launchers = Clear Red round studs Modified Diamond Boron Missile launchers = Clear Red light covers Proton Bombs = Black Cylinders Thermal Detonator Launcher = Big side of the binoculars Red Power Crystal = Red Crystal Mini Laser Cannons = Small side of the binoculars Whew - Ok, I'd welcome your thoughts/comments!

DEAR LEGO STAR WARS FANS!!!! If you have found your way to this account, you are either interested in the world of LEGO Micro-building... or you just clicked on a wrong link somewhere and are now very surprised to be surrounded by these tiny marvels of creations... or not. If the former is true then, welcome. In 2011 I received my first STAR WARS Advent Calendar for Christmas, and was blown away by the sheer ingenuity and accuracy capturing the looks of iconic ships in truly micro form. Naturally, I had to have a go myself! I built a few... I was pleased... I built some more... and here we are nearly 6 years later, and I am still building them. I began by reading my first LEGO STAR WARS Visual Dictionary (DK) and building a micro of EVERY SINGLE SET IN THE BOOK! With that now exhausted, I moved onto the 2014 edition with more sets... I built all of those too. So now I just build a micro of every new star wars set that has, is, or will come out since 2014, amongst other iconic and less well-known ships from STAR WARS 'non-canon' such as the Old Republic, Freemaker Adventures, Yoda chronicles to name but a few. With a back catalogue of over 270 mini micros and counting, this truly is the World's largest Encyclopaedia of STAR WARS micro kits. Enjoy! -- JamesArts It would mean a lot to me as a budding MOC builder if you checked out my flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/151467275@N04/albums and my YouTube Channel (JamesArts Bricks UK): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA/featured?disable_polymer=1

After the happiness of getting 18th in the Wacky wheels contest, i decided to share my most recent project. If you haven't already figured it out, I love mini loaders. That is why i am now presenting my 3rd mini loader on this site. I mostly love them because i had the opportunity to drive a Cat 297c (and a bulldozer) at 13, and he said i drove it perfectly. It had a fork attachment when i drove it, so I put forks on this to honor that (I lifted part of flatbed a truck with it). skid steer, independent wheels. cockpit (seat + controls) self leveling boom (standard linkage.) place for removable attachments (more later) forks. I ended up spending 10$ on the wheels for this (+ the telehandler), and they look great. leveling linkage. Please drop a comment, and thanks for looking. Btw @Jim, if you put a rank on my profile, make it something to do with mini loaders please.

[MOC] Monsrter Truck
Krall posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yet another moc in small scale, but this time something off-road My goal while building this moc was to implement full suspension + steeringo on both axles, I reached it after just one day of building. Things got complicated when i started building the body for which I had totally no idea. finally i decided to build a blue pick-up truck with some yelow details. I also iplemented two other functions: winch and openable doors. for suspension model uses my own idea shock absorbers, these are really usefull as I believe... I really enjoied building this modeel and I'm happy how it turned out :) some miniatures: Thanks for your atention and I'm waiting for your comments :D -

Hi everyone! My first of a few c models from my claas, I made a small Mini Track loader, using 300 parts maybe. I will be making more c models, maybe larger ones. It has: Smooth liftarm tracks Arm movement Bucket movement Cabin Control sticks Rear engine cover opening Engine removable I had a lot of fun fiddling with it, and looking at it. I hope you like it too. I also got a new backdrop for 69 cents! Tell me if you like the new backdrop! How is it, and tell me anything to improve!

I had a long conversation with Roni of BuWizz fame about desirable vehicles used with his invention. Apart from electrifying large Lego technic vehicles, we were thinking about producing a simple and low-part-number vehicle, which can be quickly build and used. Well, this was the intention, however I was not very successful with this. I mean, it's not a problem regarding dimensions etc., but more of a general shape. My cars look like something from another world but not in a good sense. So, please Sariel and other well established builders, perhaps you could just skip this presentation:-) But then I have spotted Mini Mining Truck in 42055 and it seemed cute (perhaps I am a bit biased towards large models but small technic models are generally quite nice and full of features). Therefore I decided to motorized it. At first I've tried with Lego components but found out there is no room. Then I decided to use BuWizz, since allowed a bit smaller footprint. However, the truck kept growing in size. I have motorized the propulsion (I wanted to add the differential, however it kept the truck to slip while navigating rough terrain), steering and raising/lowering the dump. In addition I have also put in some lights, however BuWizz application at this moment does not support switches (hint, hint) so using lights is a bit of a drag. There are several issues I did not addressed properly: single back wheels (not enough room at this scale), not uniform color (lack of parts), cabin missing (I used the space for cables) etc. I have rebuild the d*mn thing at least 10 times but I guess this just speaks about my inability to do great technic job. Nevertheless, the truck moves and it's quite fun to play with. And I guess this is one of the main features.

I just found the new image online showcasing the line-up for LEGO's new 2017 Advent Calendar. I am very surprised to see some familiar mini kits! I am JamesArts. I have been building micro sets since the debut of the first LEGO Star Wars Calendar in 2011 and have built over 270 micro sets in total these past 6 years, so of course it comes as no surprise that some of my ideas have been echoed by LEGO themselves. However recently I uploaded all my builds to flickr and have started up my own YouTube channel with instructions on how to build them. Now I'm not accusing LEGO of plagiarism... but... some of their most recent sets (In particular the Hover Tank from Rogue One) look very very similar to some of my builds. Others that seem to be appearing 1-2 years after I first designed them are the Ghost, Phantom, Krennick's Shuttle, Luggabeast and AT-DP to name but a few in this calendar alone. Bare in mind that almost all of the sets on my flickr were added before March 2017, with most being designed and built long before then some up to 6 years prior. I have been praised on Eurobricks and YouTube for my designs of many of my builds such as my Hover tank, with a few YouTubers even asking if they can feature my builds in their videos (as long as they give me the credit for the design of course). what I do not want is (IF... IF!... Lego are plagiarising these designs) for them to take full credit; if they are not copying them then there is too much coincidence and similarity of design) Others here are similar, and all of my builds are free to be viewed on my flickr profile. Please take some time to check out some of my builds, and more will be uploaded soon. :) My YT Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA My flickr photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/151467275@N04/ Here is MY design for the hover tank from Rogue One that I first built back in 2016: https://www.flickr.com/photos/151467275@N04/shares/d4tz70 Any similarities?

Hey everyone, not a huge city builder, but thought I'd share a few small MOCs I gone and done: - minifig playable vintage Mini Cooper - old model Actros with long heavy haul trailer - good ol' backhoe I wanted a playable mini for my family minifigs, although in my quest for playability, fitting two minifigs in parallel and aesthetics, I made it a bit big, I will try out a 4 wide minifig version soon front rear front engine interior and functions I'm mainly a castle and space builder, but something needs to deliver all those castle wall stones and spacefaring engines! I tried ot make the front in the older Actros style, with engine playability and sleepability on the interior front interior with bed engine trailer hauling the Medieval Market Village And finally a simple backhoe to terraform the ground for the castle buildings and spaceports, for some reason I feel like the official Lego backhoes never get it quite right... front rear in action

It wasn't until I went to university and only came home in the weekends, I realized how much I love the sight of my hometown of Temse in Belgium. I always try to have a seat to the left of the train, near a big window, especially near sunset. Because when my train crosses the Temse Bridge over the Schelde river, the view is just magnificent and then I know I'm home. [MOC] Temse Skyline by Bert Van Raemdonck, on Flickr You can imagine that on reading the assignment of Rebrick's "Dream Skylines" competition, "Build a Skyline of somewhere close to your heart", I didn't hesitate for a moment on what to build. But I think that choice might have been the only easy part about this contest! Since the creation has to be in the style of the existing LEGO Architecture skylines, I had to come up with several ways to add enough detail and texture at the small scale, and at the same time had to adhere to the maximum size requirements that didn't allow for any overhang. Personally, I also wanted to create something that's completely buildable in real life with solid connections and only existing part/color combinations - because who knows, maybe one day my town will be interested to have one of these for real? - which caused me a lot of headaches. All of that made for a build time of nearly a month for this seemingly small creation (that still contains close to 800 bricks). After all that building, I managed to cram in most (though not everything) of what I wanted to represent. From left to right, you have the Boelwerf Crane, the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Church, the Old Town Hall and the Temse Bridge. If you're interested in more information about those individual buildings, just keep reading! [MOC] Temse Skyline - Onze Lieve Vrouwe Church by Bert Van Raemdonck, on Flickr The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Church is the defining building of the Temse skyline, and rightfully so. The original dates back to the 770's, erected by the holy Amelberga, the patron saint of the parish. It is believed that she fled her suitor, a powerful man, because she wanted to dedicate her life to God. And when she was cut of by the Schelde river, a giant sturgeon appeared from the water to lead her safely to the other side, where she erected the church out of gratitude. To this day, we have a yearly procession to celebrate her. Of course the church was rebuilt several times, and I depicted it as it appears today, the way I know her inside and out because this is the building where I go to mass and have gotten to know a lot of wonderful people. I love this building so much that I actually tried to build it several times before this contest. However, i always got stuck on the iconic but hard to capture shape of the clocktower. However, having to work at this small scale forced a certain size of the tower on me, which enabled me to have a more focused problem. When eventually I found out that the classic medieval helmet worked perfectly to capture the bell shape of the bottom part of the roof, and that's what really kicked of this entire creation. Since I couldn't connect anything to the helmet, I had to work with an external support, but luckily it doesn't get in the way of appreciating the creation too much. I also had a lot of variations for the rest of the tower, but in the end this version with the notches nicely corresponding to features on the actual building made it, also thanks to the input of my family on this issue! From there on, it was mostly a lot of complicated SNOT work to let the windows and the buttresses work, but it gave a nicely textured result. To top it all of, I included the statue of the Blessed Priest Poppe, who is also a central figure in our community. [MOC] Temse Skyline - Old Town Hall by Bert Van Raemdonck, on Flickr Up until a couple of years ago, this was the administrative heart of Temse, but now everything apart from some ceremonies has moved to the new administrative center in a modern building for which I didn't have enough space to include... Still, it's a beautiful building from the beginning of the twentieth century that actually stands on the place where once the home of my ancestors stood. One of the ceremonies being held here, is the memorial of two of my ancestors, who became famous after allegedly dying in each other's arms during the first World War, becoming a symbol for love between brothers. This year, it was exactly 100 years ago that happened, so there was a ceremony on this very fitting location, where my sister and I also read some poems one of the two brothers wrote. Truly a special experience! Building this also was a special experience if you can call it like that, because of all of the tricky SNOT fitted into a really tiny package. I'm really happy with how the roof turned out. And while it's a pity that the spires of the main tower have to be held in place by a rubber band, at least the official LEGO rubber band with the right size had the right color as well. [MOC] Temse Skyline - Boelwerf Crane by Bert Van Raemdonck, on Flickr I was born just half a year too late... If I would have been born sooner, I would have seen the Boelwerf working with my own eyes. It was a big shipyard along the Schelde river just outside of the town which was the economic heart of Temse for quite some time, with the biggest ship of the world at that time being build there. My grandfather was one of the employees there working among the docks, the cranes, the machine shops... Whenever I see pictures of those periods, I begin drooling and dreaming about that time that I sadly never knew. Because right now, where once the Boelwerf was, now a lot of new apartment buildings, houses, shops like my hairdresser and the new administrative building stand. The only thing that remembers the glory days is a beautiful and huge crane that never actually belonged to the Boelwerf but became an essential part of our skyline, and a couple of poles in the water and a hidden dry dock. Building this one actually went surprisingly easy when compared to the previous two buildings, and I'm pretty satisfied with how I managed to maintain the spindly look of the construction and the realistic angles of the supports, realized by putting technic pints over minifig antennas. The difficult part about this build actually was keeping it within the prescribed size limits of the build without overhang. That's why I had to sacrifice one of the three wrenches in the back, but luckily it isn't as noticeable. And nice to know: the crane can actually swivel around! [MOC] Temse Skyline - Back of the Box by Bert Van Raemdonck, on Flickr I really had a lot of fun making the renders for this creation, trying to match the box art from the official skyline sets as well as possible, and I'm very happy with the results that accomplish my goal. Just ask if you want to know more about the rendering process. This is also a place to discuss the final building: the Temse Bridge on the far right. Although it doesn't look like it from the build, this was with its 365 meter for a long time the longest bridge over water in Belgium, and also one of the prettiest, in my opinion! The original actually was designed by Gustave Eiffel (yes, thát Eiffel!), but that one was deliberately blown up during the second World War. In 2009, a second bridge next to it opened to allow for more traffic to pass because it was getting a bit problematic. That bridge is actually nine meters longer than the original one, so in Temse we have just one, but the two longest bridges over water in Belgium! Giving the bridge the skeletal look was impossible to do on this scale, but the bottom of the plates actually still gives a nice texture to it. I couldn't make it as long as I wanted, and I had to place it at an angle, just to stay within the size requirements, so in reality it is of course way longer. Also, the 2009 bridge didn't fit on even though I created a model for it. But then again, that bridge pales in comparison to the older one. In the end, I'm very pleased with the result, so it was worth all of the work. It gives me the same feeling as when I see the real skyline from the train on a Friday evening, the feeling of coming home. Which is really nice that I'm on a two month internship in South-Korea! Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy your home as much as I do! _________________ The digital file (LDD)

Hi there! my latest moc is a mini track loader. it has a funtioning front blade, tilt, lift, and a rear cabin door. This was built to be like a lego set, and use color vomit in areas. I may make a b model, to make it like a real set. My neighborhood is also getting repaved, and they were using one, so it works. enjoy, and comment thoughts. instructions and parts list uploading. here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B-2NrU9MqJ-WSXpHR3VjY2p5R1k?usp=sharing

12 Axle mini crane

Here's my 12 axle crane, it has lowering/lifting and swing in/out outriggers, a lifting/lowering arm, lifting lowering hook, and rotating superstructure. The wire functions are colour coded instead of me running wiring 12 Axle crane 1 by kristiankocjancic, on Flickr 12 Axle crane 2 by kristiankocjancic, on Flickr 12 Axle crane 3 by kristiankocjancic, on Flickr -
Here's my MOC of a mini cooper, a cross between the 3177-1 small car and the 40109-1 Mini MINI Cooper polybag sets. The Union Jack is adhesive vinyl cut and scaled on the computer. I'm not 100% happy with the 4 x 4 x 2/3 wedge as the roof, the back leaves something to be desired.

Here's my first MOC after a 17-year dark age. During that period, all that crazy studless thing happened, so I had to re-learn everything. (Also, I miss Technic figures.) The MOC was built from a limited assortment of parts that I have now, mainly 42035 Mining Truck and 42045 Hydroplane Racer. I added some of my pre-dark age parts like the wheels and the gears used as brushes. Because of the part assortment limit, the color coordination in the model isn't very good. I'm somewhat unhappy about this. The MOC is loosely based on Bucher Citycat 1000 series compact sweepers, which I often see in the streets of my city. It's not a scale model: I wanted to capture the general impression from compact sweepers. Building a true scale model in such a small scale is a task for which my building skills are too poor. More photos: Functions (no PF, obviously): - The brushes rotate while driving (non-Lego rubbers are used, but suitable Lego rubbers exist) - A fake 2-cylinder engine connected to the front axle (the prototype has a 3-cylinder engine) - Rear axle steering (the prototype can be either front-steered or all wheel steered, so for this scale I think this is acceptable) - Tipper The build is dirty for my taste (no way for an official set to be built like this), but the resulting model is quite sturdy (which I guess isn't hard anyway for models of this size). The scale is quite close for the Technic figure to fit, but I couldn't manage: there is not enough space in the cabin. The steering module was borrowed from laix's excellent Mini Mobile Crane MOC. I can highly recommend this steering, it is much less wobbly than from 8067 Mini Mobile Crane, and the steering lock is generous. The only improvement I made was adding a 1L beam on the arm connected to the HOG to reduce backlash. Partially disassembled:
