(I was torn between Train Tech and Town forums for this thread, so if it needs moving - don't hesitate to move it, mods!) Recently a Flickr user named elijahleestewart commented on one of my riverboat pictures asking about me making a Ninjago ferry from season 4. I said I already had City set 60119 (Ferry) and was not interested in making another. But this conversation got wheels turning, and about two hours later I came up with this vessel you see here, which was made by tearing apart my original Ferry to revise it. The port / left side of the vessel. From here you can see the ladder to access the bridge. The starboard (or right side). The opening gates no longer fold down (as in the original set 60119), but they do split apart to allow train cars to be loaded two at a time. You can load two of the bigger cars (24 or 28 studs long), three 16-long cars, or a single 34 stud long depressed center car on this ferry or you can mix and match. (The last 34 stud long car type is too long to have two of it's kind on there, but it can fit one 34 long and another of anything shorter than that such as a 16, 24 or 28.) The roof section of the bridge is removable to place figures at the controls. Another source of inspiration was the Albatross, a former Vicksburg-area railroad ferry from 1907 that was converted to a St. Louis river cruising ship (one of the largest vessels ever on the river) called the Admiral in the late 1930's which then became a casino and then was sadly scrapped in 2011. hello hello guys im at the moment also working on a similare crane, a ltm 1050/1055/1060 a mixder of those three. it has one axle less, but im trying to implemte crape steering too the all wheel steering, also im building it as a all axis driven vihicle. problem now is not the switching between the two steering modes, but the axis that connect the transmission to the gear rack thats steering, because there is just to too much play at the end of the system. important to know is that im building this with flying axis and at the end of the transmission i have used a wormgear and a 20 tooth gear so the play build up between the 20 tooth gear and the gearrack at the end of the system. So my question is how to get rid of that play, and im pretty sure there has to be a sulotion because im very certain im not the first person who has build a model with flying axis that are steered -

This was built for a college assignment, where we had to make some sort of visual art. Of course I chose to do something with LEGO, and used it as an opportunity to recreate Chartres Cathedral. The Abbey of St. Piat was not included in my rendition. It took 16 hours to complete, and weighs 4.6 pounds. This is my first cathedral, and it was quite a fun project. Hello everyone. If some of you remember i have presented the first version of the AC cobra 427 to share the concept and gather feedback. It is now modified and on LEGO Ideas. The car scale is 1:14, measuring 33 studs long and 13 studs wide (15 on wheelbase). The features are as follows: - has working steering via an adjustable steering wheel. - mini working v8 through a differential. - independant front and rear suspension - openable hood via a lever on the dashboard - openable doors and trunk - very sturdy and solid build This can be the first Idea set that has lots of Technic features. My second micro Lord of the Rings creation, after Edoras. Andrew JN suggested that I build Rivendell, and I was skeptical about being able to pull it off in micro-scale at first. The main build process took a little over 2 weeks, and then I needed to wait a bit longer for parts to arrive to finish the model. It was primarily based off of these two images: picture 1, picture 2.The model is view-able from all sides, and while one of my most complex micro creations, it was an extremely rewarding build. Rivendell, also known as Imladris, was an Elven town and the house of Elrond located in Middle-earth. It is described as “The Last Homely House East of the Sea”, referencing towards Valinor, which is west of the Great Sea in Aman. High resolution images on flickr. 4 big crushing tires! When I saw the 42054, the first thing I thought was "FOREST SKIDDER!". When I got the set, I built a crop sprayer ;) But now, a month later, I actually did build a forest skidder. And here it is! The MOC features 6 functions, including 3 power functions: Crane stage 1, crane stage 2, and lifting of the front ripper blade. The manual functions are a pendular axle, HoG steering, and operating the grabber. The model suffered from awkward proportions throughout the build due to the complexity of the gearbox and placement of the Battery Box. The hood suffered from the brunt of it; it awkwardly hides the battery box and is too high. Video here: Pictures: So That's all- next MOC of mine should be interesting ;) Thank you! This is my first "published" c-model. It took me the last 2-3 weeks in total to build it. It was one of the reasons, why i paused on my speed-racer :) When my daughter (5) baught this model (42065 Tracked Racer), she wanted a lego rc car wich she could play with. But since the steering with the 2 tracks is pretty complicated and too hard for her, i decided to build a model with a regular steering from the set. I was thinking about building a halftracked vehicle at first, but then i decided to build a snowmobile. It was a really hard way, because of really limited amount of parts in this set (369) and the fact, that there is not a single gear included in the set . All in all i think i totally rebuildet the model 3-4 times until the current result. I still dont like it 100%, but its ok to play with for my daughter, and i need time for my own project again :) What funtions does it have?: - PF drive + steering - pendular front suspension - working handlebar (can be used as HOG) - virtual "differential" aka linear clutch at the rear axle for better steering. Motor drives left side front of the tracks, right side is connected with the clutch at the rear axle. - seat acts as PF-on-switch. A driver sitting down on it will move the battery-box to "on"-position :) -> you can see it in the video Here you can see the linear clutch in the middle of the "rear axle" footrests size comparision leftover parts Technically the chassis idea is based on something like this. -

Year by Year I take many lesson, when developing LICreator. But I go to this software in the end. It is written in Java. So will be platform in-depended, what is in Java technology nature. But I testing and build LDraw Instruction Visualizer only on Microsoft Windows Seven with 64 bit architecture. What this tool can do: %APPDATA% for Windows platform or User Home Directory for others as Storage Can hide | un-hide selected parts Display part description Rotate on selected axis Exports steps as single images and many more ... A use JLDraw as starting point of my journey. It is Simple LDraw models viewer, written and abandoned by Mario Pascucci in 2014 year. I try get new life to this software, and make them better... that software, I currently stop working on... for many reason. At the current level of development, this program can calmly serve as instruction player. Everyone, stay tuned for updates. EDIT 1: This software strongly depend on LDraw file format standard. If model do not have STEP command. You can see, only one step on the list. Hi Everyone, Just want to share a video and some photos of a MOC I recently finished. The aim was to make a compact studless chassis with a studded body over it. The result is that the bodywork can be easily taken off and the chassis can be reused for other models. It has been a while since I've introduced you to my early history of Model Team scale and type MOCs I have built years ago. I have to appoligise to the ones who have been looking for more, because there is a lot more to show. Let me correct this mistake and present to you the next page in my LEGO car building history booklet.It's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - three door version. This was the first MOC I've built using exatly zero white bricks. Maybe it is a bit hard to tell from the sunny background, but the color is dark red. Back in those days we didn't have the new tires in this diameter, therefore I didn't have any other choice than to use those bubble tires. Hard to tell now, which ones would look better for this offroader. Anyways. To tell the story further - it is a three door version. Everything opens. Doors, trunk, hood - all were functional. And of course, as for these cars - the black roof can be detached. It actually consisted of three parts, which you could detach independent. There was one bit on top of the driver, similar one on top of the front passenger. And then the biggest part at the rear. Oh yea.. now, when I see the pics, it was quite a challenge to build the nose, the part which gets narrower. Aaand... the front grille. But all legit. Nothing glued or stressed.Yep... that's it for now. Hope you like it. Feel free to leave some comments or ask any questions about it if you have any. This model is a modified CREATOR set called Lighthouse Point. (set number 31051) I removed the light-up brick and as such changed the top of the tower, along with tweaking the inside details and adding a custom Lighthouse keeper out of 1990's mini-figure parts. The model has modular parts out the wazoo, with a whopping 10 building sections. (their was one one more module from the set, but I removed it before taking pictures.) The set also comes with a killer whale / orca. You may have also noticed I had a bunch of trans - yellow bricks from a Classic Space build left over. They made a good replacement for the light brick. The inside features a table, lamp, and mounted instrument from the early days of sailing.... though this device measures where you are via the sun, so what is it doing on a stationary lighthouse? (The yellow chairs I added myself, along with the red soda can.) The set contains 10 modules as follows, (in no particular order): Tower top with light, building roof, building proper, small dock, exposed small rock, exposed large rock, tower foundation, two red tower modules, and a white tower module. This cute critter comes with the main model of set 31051. His flippers move, his tail flops around, and his jaw opens to swallow fish.... or unwitting swimming mini-figures! Thier is no LDD file for this build, but it shouldn't be too hard to recreate what I did, right? Comments, Questions, and Complaints welcome!

My fastest vehicle yet, this model is designed to take trails at speed, just like the real trucks to on the deserts of the world. I was quite happy with this, it's fast, but still capable of moderate terrain. it is, just like the real trucks, very easy to flip at speed. Rebrickable LXF file Instructions -
Hey everyone, I'm glad to present you my latest Midi-Scale MOC, the TIE Reaper from Rogue One. The TIE Reaper drew my attention when I discovered Doug Chiang’s wonderful concept art of the ship. The typical empire-like, aggressive and angular look of it instantly reminded me of my favorite vehicles from the movie. The main features of this design are: fully SNOT build from top to bottom, accurate proportions, studio model / prop look, removable stand and working ramp. Getting all the very complex angles and shapes, while maximizing the SNOT look, led to a very intricate Midi-Scale build. My main goal wasn’t “swooshability”, but making a convincing, display-only build. Hi Everyone, As the weather's taken a turn for the worse here, I've been unable to get out on my bike, so today I decided to do the next best thing, and make a little model of it! I had no exact scale or requirements in mind for this other than that it be feasible to buy, as I think it'll look nice on the desk. Without further ado, here's my attempt at a, maybe, midi-scale Royal Enfield Bullet 500! And for reference, here's my real one: It took several attempts to get the headlight gasket to be a reasonable shape that I wanted, and have it be able to connect to the rest of the body. Here's the graveyard of failed attempts! I reckon some of them could be put to good use by a MOC-er better than I, in particular I was happy with the top right one, which used that Overwatch Gun piece as a base, but I just couldn't figure out how to level out the angle of the grip 😅 I'm quite happy with the look of the rear headlights and indicators; that black 2 x 1 tile would have a registration number on it. The connection to the rear wheel is probably quite flimsy in reality, but I like that it "technically" would work like the swingarm on the real thing. (It's just a 1 x 4 tile attached to a blue technic pin.) I think I've captured the exhaust's shape pretty well, except where it connects into the engine. But overall i'm happy with this, and it kept me occupied for the day instead of pining at the rain! Finally, because I can, here's other nice colours its possible to buy it in, I quite like the dark blue one's look, may end up purchasing it as well as the dark green one. Thats all! It's not perfect, and i'm already seeing ways to improve upon it, but that's half the fun anyways.😛 Any suggestions or thoughts are more than welcome, and thank you for looking! 😁

Hey everyone! Welcome to my latest LEGO Ideas project - a kinetic sculpture of an Orrery where the earth goes round the sun and the moon round the earth. The Moon revolves around the Earth while the earth revolves around the Sun. The mechanics are hidden nicely inside the base. I have put a lot of effort into making the model as sturdy as I can, and the motion as smooth as possible. The model was built to look as nice as possible, with a detailed, brick-built version of the Earth. Dimensions of the build: 35x18.5x28 (LxBxHcm) Pieces This model has 1200 LEGO Bricks (give or take a few). I built the model digitally to check! Aim My aim with this model was not to make a 100% accurate scientific model of an orrery, but rather to make something that looked great on display, while still being functional. I also wanted to make the design as compact so as to keep it affordable. Another important aspect of this project was the varied build experience - a combination of Technic and System bricks to create an interesting and fun build. This model would also have a very wide appeal - from space and astronomy fans to technic fans, as well as people who like collecting models for display. Hope you like this project! I finally took pictures of this MOD of Overwatch set 75972 I've been working on basically since the set released in 2019. It's been turned into a 6-studs wide 1950's-style tow truck, and seats one figure at the wheel. The front of the truck. The rear of the truck. The cab roof is removable to seat the driver behind the wheel. NOTE: The vehicle might get changed to black later on because a printed grille (the same part type I'm already using here) in CITY 4+ set 60435 is coming out, and I always wanted the grille on my tow truck to be more pronounced. Only time will tell if this truck gets color swapped or not... Thoughts?

For the last couple of years I've been secretly working on something different than my previous cars and trucks. This here - I present to you Boxer - Infantry fighting vehicle. It's the same scale as my other car MOCs. But boy oh boy - it is a beast compared to those tiny cars. This one here is larger than the famous Abrams tank in real life. So imagine that this one here is like a heavy duty truck. Full with as many details as I could possibly find in the internet. It may sound silly that I mention it so, but... those military vehicle details, especially when it comes to the interior details and gadgets, those pictures are very hard to find. Probably for a good and secure reason, so - can't really blame anyone for that. Would love to see one of these up close in person. Some day, maybe. Till then - enjoy this one. Hope you like it, couse I sure do :) Oh, did I mention? It has all wheels double spring suspension, all wheels drive with PF (2 x XL) and 2 x front axle steering (1 x M). I really like this car so I had to make it and I posted it on LEGO IDEAS so if you like the model please support it Original colors and removable stiff roof can be replaced by imitation of folded convertible roof I photoshopped it here by changing the colour to preferable medium azure. engine and it can be easily removed trunk with a suitcase with clothes and a spare tire and everything opened -

I use Stud.io Open Beta v1.0 (21) with LEGO Digital Designer 4.3.10. This digital model is under Creative Commons license. Did Stuid.io use out-of-date ldraw.xml or I should wait to next release ?!! FIRST IMAGE Import into Stud.io as LDD model. SECOND IMAGE Import into Stud.io model after export from LDD using updated ldraw.xml as LDraw model. -
By reading the title you may thought - Yeah i know this model, you designed it 4 years ago... Yes... but nope. This is an entire new version relying on the same real truck but this time in 2 different colours. The previous version designed in December 2012 used Technic beams and liftarms. Since brick build models can be way more detailled - I chose that technique to build the new model with. Also i discovered the truck could use some more power so there are now 2 PF XL motors in it. There are a lot of improvements on this new 2016 version. All features, included by the fact its SBrick controlled, are listed below: Powerful 8x4 drive train by 2 Power Functions XL motors 2 axle steering by Power Functions servo motor 2 Power Functions front LED lights Sbrick Controlled Openable cabin doors with realistic hinge design Openable storage doors with realistic placed lever behind the seats Tilt able cabin with easy acces to the V8 fake engine Fully adjustable seats and steering column Fifth wheel suited for automatic steered trailers Front and rear tow bars Easy accessible Rechargeable battery box on top of the cooler behind the cabin Improved playability with sturdy overall build quality Off course there is a building instruction available for these new models. Compared to all my other instruction this one goes again one step further in quality. With all stickers implemented in the instruction you can't make a mistake anymore regarding their position. Hi, This is my newest 1/42 scale model of a Ferrari Testarossa (ish^^). Without the grilles its hardly a rossa, but if one would add custom stickers on a real one, it could turn into one ;) The whole build is 5 wide in front and ends in 6 wide at the rear end and taillights. I also rendered my first 360° view and arranged a small video clip for it. Enjoy!
