  1. Hi all! After a five year long break, I’m back with yet another manual 1:10 car. This time not a custom car, but a Dakar rally car (technically a buggy) modeled after an actual car. This is supposed to be a Peugeot 2008 DKR, the comeback of Peugeot to the Dakar rally in 2015. The comeback was not successful in the race, but the concept was. Its successor owned the Dakar in the following years because of the following innovative idea: Rear wheel drive instead of the usual 4 wheel drive. This allowed the car to enter in the buggy category with less restrictions. Anyways, my model’s story is analogous because it was supposed to be my great comeback, but didn't turn out to be that good that I wanted. Features: Independent suspension, with pushrod on the rear Mid mounted V6 fake engine Detailed engine bay 4-speed sequential gearbox and D-N-R selector. Used the stepper mechanism by Didumos HOG steering with working steering wheel Built-in car lifts that can be operated with a small separate tool. It’s operated with a linkage instead of a worm screw mechanism, so it’s not able to lift the car without help, but it’s quickly deployable. I think it’s a good compromise for better playability. Everything opens SPARE WHEELS!!!1 Spare wheels is the main feature of the model because it was the mostest biggest challenge in the whole g… model. I had to ditch adjustable suspension, wheel wells (which is a characteristic visual feature in such high cars), advanced suspension geometry and a stiffer chassis in order to make space for the spares. I redesigned the front suspension from zero at least five times. The gearbox: Sux. For some reason the gearbox stopped working smoothly in first gear when pushed forward, and I never found the cause. Unfortunately the design by @Anto came late, it would have been a perfect fit for the model. As the real car has 6 speed sequential gearbox, and obviously no need for a separate D-N-R selector. Design highlights, experiences, misc: Rollcage. I will make some poorer quality pictures when I’ll have time. This is my first time apart from my very first MOCs that was completely designed without CAD. No proper computer, no time etc. My first model with system pieces not just for tiny details. I think it turned out pretty well. I only used photos as reference, the blueprints that were available were obviously wrong. After almost finishing the model, I realized that I should have simply bought a diecast model for reference. Maybe for my next MOC. My first experience with the flipflop beams. Stickers. Over multiple pieces. Don’t hate me too much. Didn't pay that much attention to everything being in system. Durable, at least 100 people played with the model at an exhibition It’s hard to estimate the work hours, there were days when I only worked on it for five minutes, weeks without any work, etc. It is about 160…200 hours. The suspension stiffness/bounciness is perfect, my best yet Overall I still don’t know if I’m satisfied or not. The biggest problem is that the model isn’t really recognizable, though the task was not easy, because the original car is not that characteristic either.   3. I usually don't really post much of my work here, but sometimes I'm too proud of a certain model... Like this one. Designed in colaboration with a Slovenian GM racing team, I present you my interpretation of a 1:10 scale Ford Fiesta RS WRC Rally car. The realized functions and features are as following: 4x BuWizz motors for all wheel drive - one for weahc wheel, powered by the outer output 1x PU L motor for steering Independent high travel suspension on all wheels Working steering wheel Powered and Controlled by 2x BuWizz 3.0 Inline 4 cylinder engine driven by the front motors Opening doors, bonnet and rear hatch - the rear hatch usues shock absorbers in a bi - stable mechanis to keep it closed or opened Custom 3D printed wheels for 62.4 mm tires Detailed interior with a rollcage and bucket seats Built out of cca 1650 pieces As usual in such projects, I use a 3D reference model which is imported in LDD in order to create the most accurate representation: Here's the final virtual model - ready to be realized from physical bricks: You can see one BuWizz 3.0 under the bunnet in the front, powering the front wheels and the blue cylinders (half pins) of the inline 4 engine: Rollcage is designed with a mix of liftarms and links and it is actually structural. You can also see the second BuWizz in the rear: Anotehr view of the opened up model: Bottom view, showing layout of the motors - Front motors are just behind the grille, it was a really tight fit: Once the digital model was done, it was time to build it from real parts, 3D print the wheels and apply custom stickers. Here's the final result: I'm really happy about the shaping, there are almost no staright lines, almost all the panels are at an angle, for example the curved 3x11 panel above the rear fenders: As mentioned before, the steering wheel is connected to the steering motor (the blue clutch gear moves it). The steering wheel can also be adjusted using click hinges. Also notice the red fire extinguisher on the passenger side: Soft grey shock absorbers keep the rear hatch closed/opened: Inline 4 clyinder engine is powered by the front motors from the fast outputs via blue rubber belts. They can slip when needed while cornering: And finally here's a video where you can see it in action along with more details: To summarize, thanks to the 3D reference the body is very accurate with almost no straight lines and I'm getting really good at sculpting complex shapes. Great care was also put into keeping the car as light as possible so it reaches over 15 km/h, yet has enough torque to drive/jump over bumps, hills, etc... Thanks to the Audi's hubs, the suspension has a lot of travel and a single (black) hard shock absorber per wheel is enough to support it and absorb the hard landings. To conclude, I'm really proud of this model, it's a really nice balance of aesthetics, performance, robustness and fun!
  4. I didn't know this car is existed until Forza horizon 5's serise 24 italia car. When I saw, it became one of my favorite car immediately because I like angled classic car like this.(In the game, Other car which I like is Hyundai N74, Chevrolet Bel air and impala, Ford RS1800 MK.2. I also planned to make all of this car without impala as lego form and N74 and RS1800 has chassis already but I don't know when will finish it.) In the game, car's main color is red. But soon I found olio fiat's dark blue and yellow color and think it looks very cool. In that time I don't know how much successful this livery in rally but I find it has least 3 winning record in WRC. Actually I don't have plan to make this car in lego form in that time but after some month of game update, Japan RC maker Tamiya release this car as one of body of MF-01X chassis. I started to plan make this car as lego since that. [Insert finished model image here in future] This is real car. It is diecast model by Kyosho. So I started to suspension and scale. I think 49.5 tire will good for both size and comportable and find this car use Macpherson strut on all four wheel. Normally I use double wishbone even original car has Macpherson strut, I wanted to use Macpherson strut like original. So this is first chassis I made. Even rear is not Macpherson strut, I still like this version because it is still all independent. But because I'm very weak to make bodywork, I leave this chassis few week. Than I putting aside whether it was actually possible or not, I decided to just create the appearance in studio. I used existing parts for 'OLIOFIAT' logo but those parts is rare and don't have A and T so maybe I will use just normal 1x1 tile and write letter using pen. After making it, it turned out to be better than I expected, so I decided to keep going, and this is the result. The top of the headlight is a bit high, but this was unavoidable due to the suspension structure. White 8x8 plate and rear wing will change color soon. I already ordered parts from local store(Can't use bricklink because Korea is currently in danger of being banned from direct purchasing. See link in my flare) Rear 'OLIO FIAT' logo is black in origianl car. Unlike yellow, black letter has all required letter so I used it. And only headlight is working. Fog light and rear light isn't. You can see I wrote 'OLIO FIAT' using pen on yellow tile. Of course bonet, both door, and trunk can opened and door is spring locked. And because front has suspension structure and rear has frame there is no hinge on bonet and no spare tire in trunk. In original plan like studio model, I put spare tire on trunk position but it removed due to I flipped whole rear suspension module 180' for make placement of drive motor. The bonnet can have been not opened, but I made 4L engine and strut bar inside so it had to be opened. Underside of chassis is braced hardly using 3x19 frame so car is very sturdy. There is a problem with the 3L axle coming out of the differential gear when under a large load, but I will do an actual rally test of this car and decide to remove or leave the differential gear. I still need to make dashboard and seat. And need yellow small mudguard. If I can't get, I considering paint white mudguard as yellow. Function Drive with L4 engine using 2 Buwizz motor(fast output, 1.67 ratio before differential) Steering with steering wheel using 1 C+ L motor Front light Opening both door, trunk and bonet
  5. After a grueling 10 hour dual build with my Brother Dugald, we have successfully completed a proper C-Model for the 42077 Lego Rally car. The car can have all the motors easily removed and an HOG steering can been added for a proper C-model. We managed to create completely new suspension, most notably the front suspension tuned in by none other that @DugaldIC with Ackerman steering :) This video was filmed with a Buwizz 2.0, 1 M-motor for drive that powers boxer V6 and servo. This build uses 100% of the parts from the rally car.   6. Good Day. This is a small desert-rally styled offroader that was made in roughly 8-9 hours during New Year's holidays. Weight of 637g. Powered by BuWizz v1. Features: -4x4 drive with slowest output of buggy motor -Return-to-center steering (m-motor) -Independent suspension on all wheels -Over 2 studs of clearance under the car -Openable doors, bonnet and trunk. -Detailed engine bay & interior -Stickers all over the car, including rear-view mirrors & rear lights -Minor detailing on the outside (lightbar, antenna...) The suspension mechanism relies on the vertical movement of the drive input of the axle , changing main pivot point from one CV to another, allowing for each wheel's independent movement from each other.   7. This is Lego's 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS set with some unique rallycross-inspired features I added making it the perfect sports car to drive in the snow. Features Suspension system raised to make the car about two studs higher Wheels and tires from the 42037 Formula Off-Roader Mudflaps LED light bar Front off-road lights Rear bash bars Optional snowplow that attaches to the front The lights are fake and don't turn on, and all of the other lime-colored pieces are from the 42037 set as well. I had a lot of fun making this. I just had to switch of the area of the springs to change the height for the rear without any pieces needed, but for the front, I had to remove the entire Porsche's body to make the lift there using a variety of pieces. Overall, I'm proud that a got the result I wanted, which was making the Porsche 911 GT3 RS higher (so it wouldn't bottom out) and equipping it with off-road features so I could have fun with this set in the winter. It does need to drive in snow only about an inch high so I could move it without getting stuck (and so the plow can move the snow too). I recommend to anyone who has the Porsche set to try these mods out for themselves this winter!   8. Hi! so, this is my first post on Eurobricks, I did actually make this model about a month ago, but I thought I might as well share it here too. MG Metro 6R4 by All.About.Lego, on Flickr So, here is a list of its functions: Front and rear independent suspension 4-wheel drive (RC) steering (RC) Working front and rear lights (RC) opening doors opening rear door/boot/bonnet (or whatever else you want to call it)... A detailed interior (with a roll-cage and seats) and loads of stickers... MG Metro 6R4 by All.About.Lego, on Flickr In total this model has 9 PF components: 2 L-motors, 2 pairs of lights, 1 servo motor, 2 AAA battery boxes, and 2 receivers/remotes. It was a bit of a struggle to cram all of them into such a small MOC, while still having independent suspension, and 4-wheel drive, but luckily I still managed to do it!   9. Hi! Two years ago, I had made a Gymkhana with Ken Block’s Ford Fiesta. It drifted well, but I wanted to do better using the BuWizz. So I decided to make a better chassis and pair it with the bodywork of the world’s best rally driver’s car : Sébastien loeb’s DS3! This new chassis‘ works in the same way as the old version, but it’s better at drifting. First of all, a reminder of how it works: When turning, the adherence at the rear axle is decreased. This is due to the caster angle of the front axle which lifts the rear interior wheel. (Like a karting il me semble qu’on dit a go-kart mais il faut vérifier!!) So, what changes with this new chassis compared to the old version? The caster angle is the same, but the swerve front wheels relative to their pivot point is decreased (?). The rigidity has been decreased, and the transmission has been upgraded. Now, it has less friction. The consequence is that the difference of adherence at the rear axle is smoother when turning, so drifting is more realistic. Furthermore, there is the amazing BuWizz power! However, the car isn’t easier to handle. (It takes a lot of time to control it perfectly) This car has got stickers, and building instructions!   12. Hello everyone! Following the Delta Integrale I present you my Lancia Stratos HF! This model features opening doors, as well as massive opening front and rear shells with the most detailled engine bay I've ever made! Despite everything being openable, it's surprisingly sturdy with only its rear spoiler and A-pillars being the weak spots. Minor details include a spare tire at the front, a fire extinguisher between the seats and of course all 3 pedals in he drivers footwell. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for looking!
  13. Hello everyone! As for my second post on here I wanted to share my Delta Integrale! This model features opening doors (all 4 of them!) as well as an opening hood. I've decided to go with a black and dark blue interior as oppose to the black-only one usually found in these, as it makes for a more interesting and compelling look. It's also got the little things in which you insert your seatbelt into, thought I'd be a fun little detail. The engine bay itself is nothing too over the top, just managed to fit all the essential details. The hinge itself took a lot longer to create than expected, as most designs for it took up too much space inside the engine bay. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for looking!
  14. Inspired primarily by the Opel Manta 400, I've made my own RWD rally car. It features independent front suspension, and a rear live axle using the big ball joint and a metal U-Joint. Its propelled by 4 buwizz motors and steered by one C+ L motor. Some late WIP photos Earlier WIP photos Problems Because of the narrow wheelbase and relatively high center of mass due to high up buwizz units, the model easily rolls when driving at high speed and cornering. I was lazy with the design of the suspension; the front is too soft and the steering is inaccurate because I am using Instead of the newer parts with longer arms for steering links. This allowed me to fit the wheels inside the body, though. The rear suspension is too hard primarily because I got lazy and wanted it done, after about 8 hours on the model I was getting bored. The bodywork has some parts that could be white if I had the parts in white, but those parts are quite small. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. As of right now I still have the model assembled. Thank you for reading.
  15. I got a hankering to build a rally car because I like the aesthetic, but I'm not sure what features a typical rally car should have. Any suggestions? I saw a lot of rally cars that are actually smaller cars with wide body kits and larger tires, so maybe they should be 8-wide like typical Speed Champions cars? Or is 6-7 wide more appropriate? What tires would I use? What are the interiors like, mostly empty? What equipment is in there? Are they built differently depending on the racing environment? Hopefully I can bang out something cool this weekend.
  16. Here's the beginning guys, after a long break a new MOC, the famous group B Audi Quattro rally car. All I've got so far is a front. IMG_3652 by Teo's Technic, on Flickr I'm thinking to make the bottom part of the bumper white, and also fenders and a line along the bottom all around the car white as well.
  17. As a last goodbye to 2016, I present this small red car. It is not really built to be particularly good looking (I used a wire bodywork to have a low weight) or to have a particular high speed. But what it does, is put a smile on your face. Technics are kept simple, there's an RC buggy motor next to a PF lipo batterybox in the middle, a PF medium steering motor before the front axle and an IR V2 receiver to enable 1 metre of infrared range when going outside. Please Lego... Please... do something about it. The frustration and anger about this appalling range is powering companies like S-brick. And that's why my future cars are having an S-brick, leaving this model as one of my last PF IR remote controlleds MOCs... We're making a fun car, right? So there is a silly spoiler and huge rear tires. By the way, these wide tires provide excellent traction in dry conditions, which is important for low-weight cars like this. The interior had to be sacrificed to have a low position for the drive motor and battery box. Because of this measure, the handling was quite good, but made much worse by the slow PF IR remote. In the end, of course there is the video: The longer story can be read on MOCpages and better photos are on Brickshelf. Have a nice 2017!
  18. Building up some rally car, its street (homologation) version Should be looking like this at the end Now it is like this Still don't know what to do with rear wheels. Maybe there will be those from 42039-1: 24 Hours Race Car with some custom wheel covers, so that tyres look fatter. Some tumbler tyres would be nice, but then there's no match for the front. Some kind of version 1.0 in the post (beginning of page 3)

Dear Eurobricks fans, I wanted to share with you one of the favourite speed Champs MOC I've created: The mighty Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 Rally car This little beast is regarded by many rally fans as the most successful racing car ever It dominated the WRC championship in the mighty (and rather scary) Group B, winning both pilot and constructor's titles in 1985 & 1986 I thought it was time to pay a Lego tribute to both this astonishing Peugeot racing car and the legendary Group B WRC era My Lego project features a very realistic and detailed racing car in full action in its natural rally 'habitat' The vehicle comes with a lot of interesting details: An accurate shape and proportions (not easy to at this scale) Multiple stickers reproducing faithfully the Peugeot Talbot Sport racing colours, main sponsors, headlights, rear lights and Tailgate... A polished and detailed interior including a beautiful reinforcement frame behind the driver’s seat I hope you will like it and don't hesitate to share your feedback here!   23. This is my second alternative build of McLaren F1 42141. This time I was inspired by Dakar rally and I made a version of Sebastien Loeb's Prodrive RX Hunter. This is the 2022 version and just like all my Technic model based on a real car; I invested a lot of effort into making it as close as possible to the real counterpart. I was able to reproduce the position of the engine, The curved shaped roof, doors and even the spare tire!Functions:- Independent suspension in all wheels- V6 fake engine (located inside the cabin just like the real car!)- HoG steering- Opening doors (Butterfly doors)I am no good at stickers but I made a basic sticker sheet that I am including as optional.Can't wait for the Audi RS Q e-tron???Don't worry!   24. Hi! After several attempts, I feel like i finally have something presentable: Not exactly sure what to call it as it isn't really a real car, but I like to think of it as a rally truck. It has independent steered suspension in the front and a live axle in the back. It also has a dummy flat 4 engine in the front which is connected to the rear wheels via silicone LEGO band (because the chassis is too dense for any other method).   25. Hi Everyone, I'm not new, but I've never actually posted anything on this site although I have been building Mocs for 30 years. I have a few things on Flickr and unfortunately on MOC pages which I think has now shut down. I have however just created a couple of MOCs with the title "Stars and Their Cars", and my favourite is the "Colin McRae and His Rally Car" and the other being "Only Fools and Horses". They are both completely unique creations, simply meaning that no part of my designs has been copied from anyone else.
