After exploring Planet U, the Rock Raiders discovered another unknown planet in the galaxy. Planet ONYXX is much larger than Planet U, contains dangerous rivers and waterfalls, deep caves, rough terrain and dangerous rock pikes. The Rock Raiders discovered that Planet ONYXX contains the same kind of energy crystals as Planet U.... With this information, the Rock Raiders travelled to Planet ONYXX. When arrived at Planet ONYXX, the Rock Raiders set up an new HQ, much more refined than the HQ at Planet U. The new base contains a large crane, Dual-speeder Dock, Modular Tool-Store, small landing platform, cargo and miner lift, small and large laser-unit, Teleport-platform, Research Laboratory and a Ore Transport System. The Rock Raiders HQ is developed to split ores, to do some research of the energy crystals and do fast transport from and to the HQ. The Rock Raiders also developed new mining vehicles, some of them are modular, so they can swap some elements to create new functionality on an existing mining vehicle. The mining vehicles will be used in the large caves of Planet ONYXX, were only the heaviest mining machinery will operate. Take your mining equipment and start mining!! Hello everyone! I am sharing the first episode of my Insectoids series, based on the lego theme of the same name. Before anyone mentions it I am aware that there are no Insectoids vehicles in it; this is a prologue to the main storyline. Please tell me what you think of this ;) I have made it in a way similar to 1950s Sci-fi films as the Insectoids theme always reminded me of those!

Hey Everyone - Although I primarily build with Technic, I occasionally build in Sci-Fi genres. I have been a fan in all things greebling for a long time, and thought I would give my own personal tribute. Abstract in nature, not a ship, Hangar, or anything functional, only meant to showcase all things greeblie. Large project, at an estimated 8,000 pieces. Fully modular, based on cubes 12x12x12 (studs) to create a structure that folds on itself. Complete with PF lights: And many, wonderful, greeblie yummies: Check out my Mocpages (signature block) for more info and pictures. Check out my Flickr account for higher resolution pictures.

Trace (Axiom Verge) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Trace is the main protagonist of the videogame Axiom Verge, a pixel-styled metroidvania that was created by a single person as a "love letter" to Super Metroid. Trace was a scientist in a laser lab stationed in New Mexico. One day some sort of malfunction occurred, bringing down the lab along with science team, including Trace. Next thing he knew, he awakened in a strange, alien place, to the voice of a stranger who introduced herself as Elsenova. Armed with nothing but a biomechanical Axiom Disruptor gun and Elsenova's voice, Trace must find his way back home... Shoutout to Demitsorou for post-processing the original render. They've knocked it out of the park lol.

Blast off for adventure with the heroic crew of the Icarus starship! Greetings fellow builders and designers. I am new to your forum. My name is AJ and I am a welder, sculptor and sometimes furniture builder. Please permit me to share a photo and link to my first submission to the LEGO Ideas program: The Icarus starship from the Planet of the Apes universe. I have envisioned a combined Command, Survey, and Return Vehicle or C.S.R.V. Here is a link to the official LEGO Ideas page for my project if you would like to see more photos, read a full description, and perhaps vote your support. Thanks! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0d59308d-9ec4-490f-b646-b9cbce703487

WCS Communication Tower Background Two decades ago, the West Coast State Communication Tower was abandoned. Due to technological advances coupled with drastic population decrease, it was no longer economically viable to keep it operational. Maintenance stopped at once and the tower was left to ruin. However, after twenty years of desertification, tropical storms and physical weathering, the WCS Communication Tower is returning from retirement! A small team is working hard to repair the damage and get the systems working again. Inspecting the receiver and transmitters. Features The build is 120 cm tall (antenna included). The elevator platform can be brought up and down by hand. Its 'claws' can be adjusted for extra grip, so that the platform holds itself at any place along the rail, or for free movement, to enable motorization. The antenna can be pulled out, which allows the square roof section to be removed. Builder's notes Building something this tall has been a childhood dream come true! I've tried doing this before, but never succeeded due to structural instability. The train track technique solves that. Not only is it sturdy and fairly lightweight, it is also easy to modify and expand. Perhaps my second favorite technique in this build is in the claws of the elevator. Each claw has a pair of minifigure ice skates, which slide through the 1x2 grille plates. The floor and the roof were the most challenging parts of the build, being partly rectangular and triangular at the same time, and I tried to make as little compromises on interior, sturdiness and accessibility as possible. I will think twice before doing another triagonal/hexagonal build, without having nexogons or other studded geometric facilitators! Thank you for looking! Comments, suggestions and criticism very much appreciated!

Coalition Baserunner (Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Baserunner is a fictional support and recon vehicle from RTS videogame "Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak". Baserunners are the reliable workhorse vehicles that were used by Kiithid Coalition during the events of the game. Their main purpose was to set up defensive perimeter with deployable turrets, as well as install sensor arrays and lay minefields. Many Kiith have used modified Baserunners for specific purposes, such as this Science Team Baserunner used by Rachel S'Jet during the Kapisi Expedition: Rachel S'Jet's Baserunner (Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak) by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr

Simple build here... only approximately 48 pieces. Actually part of a much larger build.... but I liked this part enough that I thought I would share. Mostly a Technic builder but every now and then I dabble with SW, Space, and Mecha genres. Much better pics on my Flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nerdsforprez/

Hello everyone. As a huge lover of Classic Space, I have made a LEGO Ideas proposal to celebrate its upcoming 40th anniversary. I would love to hear from anyone who has something constructive to say about my design (I'm new here so please be gentle ;), and if you like my project, well, I sure could use all the support I could get :) I hope this will spark a positive discussion about Classic Space and LEGO's sci-fi-non-Star Wars themes :D https://ideas.lego.com/projects/b0827dea-3bd0-46b2-a733-e2e380fa1794

Many artists during October take on the Inktober challenge, drawing in ink every day of October. This year I decided to do something similar, but with MOCs. I've already done a few mechas based off Ksenolog's sketches, but this time around I decided to dedicate a whole month to translating his amazing works into digital 3D lego. This thread is a full collection of my MOCtober entries. #01 Dailybot #699 Original Picture: #02 Dailybot #684 Original Picture: #03 Dailybot #672 Original Picture: #04 Dailybot #692 Original Picture: #05 Dailybot #654 Original Picture: #06 Dailybot #703 Original Picture: #07 Dailybot #601 Original Picture: #08 Dailybot #572 Original Picture: #09 Dailybot #557 Original Picture: #10 Dailybot #522 Original Picture: #11 Dailybot #544 Credit to my spouse for helping with the bg. Since first time I saw brick no. 27255 (Plate, Modified 6 x 6 Hexagonal with Pin Hole) I knew I need to build something sci-fi with it. Nexogon (part named after Nexo Knighs theme where it appears and heaxgon shape) was used here to make pilot's cockpit, massive engines and some greebling on the top of the spaceship. So here's a trio of assorted kinda-sorta-game-inspired military craft in my first attempt at micro-scale. I didn't normally even like this style of building all that much, but I had an assortment of new pieces and I felt like trying something new. The basis for the whole set, this one started when I was experimenting with this part for the angled wings, plus some brightly colored curved slopes for color-coded cockpits. Like the other two models, this was conceptualized as something you might see in an arcade-y space shooter. Notice anything from a particular franchise? Rear shot, showing more of the construction + glowy green exhaust. The Star Fox inspiration becomes apparent when you turn the wings back to create what could be some sort of alternate flight mode. As I've said before, everything I build must have some sort of moving joint. Next up, the tank. The chibi aesthetic becomes a bit more obvious with this one. The turret, of course, swivels. Much like the others, the basis for this was a single piece, namely this one. And finally, a mech to cap off the collection! Envisioned as a sort of mobile anti-aircraft gun, one initial draft was even an immobile turret. but I felt that was a bit boring and wanted to try some small-scale mech leg designs. Possibly the least studs on anything I've ever built, and I'm fairly pleased with the relatively clean blockiness (which, granted, isn't that hard to do at such a small scale). The back, showing a bit more of the construction. Also built around another one of those 'motor' pieces. Not terribly poseable, but it can manage. Full gallery with a few more pics can be found here!

Hey all, here's my first Sci-Fi post on EB, the USS Lexington ICVN 16, which also happens to be my SHIPtember entry from this year's contest. USS Lexington ICVN 16 by Joshua, on Flickr USS Lexington ICVN 16 SHIPtember shot by Joshua, on Flickr USS Lexington stern view by Joshua, on Flickr USIN Fleet register: The USS Lexington is the 4th ship in the Legacy Class of Super Battlecarriers, and the 16th interstellar carrier built for the United States Interstellar Navy. Constructed at the Death Valley Heavy Starship Yards by JBIronWorks Inc., the Lexington and her sister ships Enterprise (ICVN 13), Yorktown (ICVN 14), and Saratoga (ICVN 15), are the largest warships ever built by mankind. A solid THREE times the length of the Gerald R. Ford class, the Legacies, as they are commonly called, have the hanger capacity for up to 200 starcraft of various types, up to and including orbital bombers the size of B-2s. Unlike previous classes of carriers, the Legacies do not rely on their starcraft as their sole weapon, making them unique among their peers. Each Legacy is armed with 2 massive forward-firing 30-inch railguns, 4 turret-mounted 24-inch plasma guns, 9 turret-mounted 20-inch plasma guns, 6 tactical nuke missile ports, and multiple smaller plasma guns and CIWS’ scattered around the hull. All Legacies are thus able to hold their own, and be able to stand in a line-of-battle as well, making the Legacies the first successful Battlecarriers ever. Fitted with all the aforementioned weapon systems, as well as the latest and most advanced radar and comms systems in existence, the Legacies are considered the ultimate symbol of American military power, and the pinnacle of starship engineering. Two more Legacies are in the works, Wasp (ICVN 17), and Hornet (ICVN 18), with the possibility of more being discussed by Congress. —————————————————————————————————— Final length: 146 studs long Width: about 50 studs You can't see it here unfortunately, but the main engines, the bridge, and the interior hanger deck all light up. 100% Lego with the exception of those flags, which are standing in for engraved panels that I don't have yet. There is a special reason these ships are called the Legacy class, and why I chose to name this one the Lexington. As is obvious from the description, they are all named after famous American carriers. There is another meaning for why the names Legacy and Lexington are used in this build however. My great-grandfather on my mom's side served on both Lexingtons during WW2, and was the Chief of the Flight Deck on CV-16. Thus, the class of ships being named the Legacy class, as well as this MOC being named the Lexington, is a double tribute to him and the original Lexingtons. The backgrounds are not mine, they're free online wallpapers. Hope you all like it! Cheers, Joshua

This gorgeous tall building was once an architectural highlight of the city. It was also one of the centers of business activity, usually overcrowded by citizens. Everything changed when alien invaders suddenly came from the darkest depths of Earth. Giant drilling machines pierced the earth surface, and myriads of underground creatures flooded into the city, forcing its inhabitants to flee. Elephant Building sustained severe internal damage and now it is on the verge of destruction, although its facade and distinctive columns remain intact. Let us discover the interior of the building while it still stands. Ground floor hosts a media shop with very expressive shop windows. It used to be just a bookshop at first but later the assortment has been broaden with music and video. Ironically, the shop window dedicated to books was first to be destroyed. Above the bookshop we can find a private apartment where there is something going on. It was once owned by a respectable but stubborn family who refused to move when the building was being turned nonresidential. However, at some point the apartment was occupied by a group of dangerous criminals. Some said that this apartment became the very center of criminal activity in the city. Despite evil intentions of these people, let us hope that nobody was inside the bathroom when it was smashed. Coincidentally, there is a bank office right above the suspicious apartment. It is unclear whether it was a target of the criminals or their own organization. Anyway, it was not them who made the big hole in the floor. Also, there is a courtroom in the attic... ...And a shed on the roof. It is a perfectly ordinary shed, but who knows, maybe someone has been writing music inside of it? And here is some of the furniture used in the building. Model characteristics: 32 x 32 corner modular building. Building comprises 3 stories, an attic and a shed on the roof resulting in an overall height of 45 bricks. Model consists of over 8500 parts. Additional links: Photo album on flickr Building instructions are available on Rebrickable.

Sup guys! It's been a while since I've posted anything, so I decided to fix that. Today I am going to treat you with what I believe to be the revamps to all small-to-middle M:Tron sets. Let's start with a droid I made as an addition to my series of Space-thematic robot helpers. M-Tron Service Bot by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr The service drones of M:Tron are created to serve on the huge space ships, and therefore their chassis are made to roll on the relatively flat surfaces of various cargo holds and hallways. Have no special tools, only their hands to assist them. Next on the list is revamp of #1478 Mobile Satellite Uplink. M-Tron Mobile Satellite Uplink by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr As you can see, I have continued the idea of roller-ball chassis, and it was not long before I decided to make it the theme of all M-Tron vehicles. I know that in real life the friction won't allow those balls to actually roll, but one can dream, right? =) The main features of the set are traditional steering through joint in the middle, plus deployable satellite dish with two antennae, and tiltable chassis for better mobility. Second in the line is 6833 Beacon Tracer. M-Tron Beacon Tracer by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Nothing special on this one, except for making it some sort of "dune buggy" thing. Next we have 6811 Pulsar Charger, first of the flying vehicles of the M:Tron. M:Tron Pulsar Charger by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr As I decided that roller-balls would be the main feature of small M-Tron land vehicles, I decided that propelling rings would be the theme for their flyers. Other than than, really nothing special about this set. As usual, I decided to keep as much trans-green bits, as possible. And since we've started with the flyers, why not show the 6877 Vector Detector M-Tron Vector Detector by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr I guess this one can count as the least look-alike since I took liberty of adding four propelling rings, and overall shape of the hull is different. The MOC still has a container box attached on the bottom. And last, but not least, we have the second biggest vehicle in all the line, 6896 Celestial Forager! M-Tron Celestial Forager by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr As you can see, the original functions are saved, sans the magnets. Okay, that's about it! Please, leave your feedback, I would gladly appreciate it!

1924: Scottish Expedition led by adventurer Mr. Roy McBridge, equipped with Clam-type heavy diving suit, discovers the ancient ruins of the legendary New Atlantis at the bottom of the North Sea. This little diorama was built for Finnish LUG Palikkatakomo's summer contest with the theme of "finding, discovering". The idea was simply to build something around the top part of that diving mecha I had tablescrapped last winter. More photos can be found on my blog. Enjoy.

Impetus, ISV As a general rule, there is a rather conspicuous dislike toward ISVs and their captains. ISVs, or Independent Spacer's Vessels, are seen as relics of a bygone age, where space cowboys flew around the uncharted depths of space, discovering new planets and living for, well, independence. Today, there are only a few left, but they continue in that tradition of independence, with some using their freedom to engage in shady dealings, and others doing what they can to help those who cannot help themselves. And, of course, in their exploration of space, they occasionally run across aliens out to kill them, necessitating the occasional use of armaments... Just make sure you watch your back out there. Further photos can be found on flickr: https://www.flickr.c...157666125280434 Thanks for checking out this MOC, and please forgive any errors as this is only the second time I've done this, and the first was a complete bust.
