One of the signature sights of the Weelond coast are the windmills built on a low grassy ridge, taking full advantage of the stiff breeze blowing in from the Sea of Storms. Here is one of those windmills, cleverly designated "Grist Mill #1" in the city ledgers.. Specifically, it is a post mill with an open trestle design. The grist mill grinds wheat into flour. It looks like several bags of flour are ready for delivery to the city market. The wagon driver takes time to give his horse a treat. His assistant doesn't look too pleased to be loading all the bags of flour into the wagon himself. Sheep commonly graze in the area, when they aren't grazing beneath the bastions of nearby Fort Weelond. The goat appears to prefer the wildflowers. Some more pics: --- I finally found the time to do some building! I wanted to try out the siding style Ayrlego used on one of his builds not too far back. There is a small gap at the top of the siding, and I had trouble with the hinges keeping the wall straight, but I'm happy with the result. I also wanted to represent the open trestle work realistically, and after a lot of experimentation, found something I'm very happy with. The sails turn, and the mill turns on the post as well. As for the terrain, I wanted to get more of a slope effect. It's not quite how I pictured it when I started, but I believe I used 99% of all the green plates I own! The sheep roaming free is common for the time period; fences were used to keep the animals OUT of yards, not in. That was something I wanted to portray in a build, and this was a perfect opportunity. As usual, all C&C welcome.

Shepherds Simon and Sarah and their flock of sheep 1 sheep, 2 sheep, 3 sheep, ... . That looks correct. It's a beautiful Monday morning. Or Tuesday? Or Wednesday? For the sheep, all days were the same, and for Simon the shepherd, actually, too. Together with his sister Sarah they started a sheep farm here in Damaborg. From MAESTRO they got a nice piece of land at the end of the settlement, Near the wooden ramparts. Which was ideal, because under the walkways Simon made stalls for his sheep. So it was a nice morning. In the distance, some murmurs sounded and marching footsteps approached. Sarah!!! Sarah recognized the voice, dropped everything, and ran to the fence of the fence. Maarten! Maarten had just returned from a reconnaissance mission. Along with a reconnaissance company, he marched to The Intelligence Headquarters. He received permission from Captain Bert to leave the marching procession and go to his wife Sarah already. After days in the unexplored territories, he was so happy to fall in the arms of Sarah. He could not wait to have a good pint of apple cider as he has so many experiences and stories to tell his wife and brother-in-law. (New part of story 24/3) Simon smiled seeing his brother-in-law and Sarah hugging. Simon arrived just in time as well. The first sheeps could be sheared and the fresh wool has to be sent to the cloth makers of Damaborg. Decent and warm clothing could be very important the moment the bigger exploration missions will start. Simon looked again to his sheep. A moment of sadness fell over him knowing that some of his sheep will be slaughtered soon for meat. He knows it is a part of the job, but still it is the part he doesn't like. Oh well, Simon is happy the sheep can at graze peacefully without any sorrows right now. --- Thanks for watching (and reading if you had the time)! C&C welcome :) It was a very fun moc to make and happy I could do something with those sheep I discovered that you can place them diagonally as well, wich is genius of LEGO! will be licenced as a medium plantation. I could have expanded the grasslands with green baseplates and what vegetation, but to be honest, I didn't see the plusvalue of it.

[COR - ChIV - Micro Prize] Sheep Farm, Wullham
evancelt posted a topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Forest Bineford loved the location he had chosen for his sheep farm. The rolling hills provided ample grazing land for his flock of sheep, and the hillside behind his home allowed him to sit under a small grove of trees to watch his sheep among the pastures. Now with winter closing in, the leaves on the small stand of trees had fallen and he looked forward to seeing folks about town sport clothing made from his wool! ---------------- Here's my micro medium property earned as a prize during Challenge IV: Rebuilding Terraversa (bonus upgrade). To be licensed as a sheep plantation in Wullham. More pics -
The brothers Gregor and Duncan MacAulen had lived alongside sheep for most of their lives. They were new to Wullham and had quickly noticed upon their arrival that there was a niche that needed filling. Wullham had a ton of sheep, but very few people who knew how to shear wool! They first thought of monopolizing the shearing trade, but the huge number of sheep on the island frankly scared them a little. Instead, they decided to open a sheep shearing school. In their inaugural class, the brothers welcomed five locals - including a woman! They weren't picky when it came to students who could pay their class fees. Local herders would bring their sheep to a holding pen and the MacAulens' dogs would make sure they stayed in line. Once a fleece was removed from a sheep, they would pile it on a cart to take to town. Corporal Thiessen of the 26th Foot skirted the outside of the school on his way to Fort Stockton. He had received orders to report to the fort - there were rumors of action with the Lotii in the New Haven Sea! -------------------- OOC: To be licensed as a large educational build for Wullham. This one was just a fun chance to try out some techniques I'd been wondering about (the thatch roof, treasure chest tree, wigs for fleece, etc). You may recognize the boat prow building from this unlicensed build. I like the plumes better than the backpacks for the roof

After his carriage broke down, the count was left stranded among sheep while his driver went for help. He thought to himself, "I wore the wrong boots".

Here is my review on latest 10775 Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck's Farm: THE GOOD: Lots of animals and the new sheep is great! Nice farm outfit torsos for Mickey and Donald. New Mickey Logo piece. Nice printing for the windows. THE NOT SO GOOD: Can't find any to be honest, i guess I would prefer a proper saddle piece for the horse. Overall, I like this very much. It's a decent set. Originally bought this set just for the new sheep but the minifigures and other new pieces are great, also it's not often you get a set at this price with so many different animals. The sheep is actually great and I would like an army of it before it becomes another goat situation (hopefully not). I also wish we could just order more of the Mickey logo piece. I really can't find anything bad on this set. Recommending this to everyone!

It represents the house/laboratory from which the blue jackets are supplied for the fabrics and accessories for their uniforms. On the ground floor there is the leather workshop, where the merchant shears one of his sheep among rolls of fabric, trunks of wool and various dyes, and the wife offers travelers the products of their work...comfortable leather backpacks and shoulder bags for soldiers, as well as various accessories for grooming the beasts and decorating the jackets. Upstairs is the spartan house, small but complete, with a large bed, table and fireplace for warming up and cooking. The house is also equipped with a "recessum", so as not to have to go out in the cold when the body calls, sheepfold and chicken coop. And watch out for the kitten who enjoys ambushing the little animals wandering around on the roof...

The oversized sheep-race of El'yah, bred for decades just south of Mophet, have proven to be a real asset as cavalry in the desert regions. Although not the fastest animal around, their weight and aggressive demeanor makes them ideal for battle. So basically I found a big duplo sheep and just felt I had to use it, haha! Love the bulky look of those duplo-animals

The new fence lining the edges of the wheat fields created a bottleneck when two parties caught up to each other on the path. Shepard Grogson told Lieutenant Bollford that the sheep would be on their way in good time, but Bollford's men were ready to get home to a warm dinner. To be licensed as a small wheat plantation in Wullham BTS:

Hi everyone, my church asked me to build the biblical story of the lost sheep in Luke 15. I would have preferred something with elves and dragons, but I did it. It is surely below the general level of MOCs here on EB, but I thought I'd share it anyway. Maybe it does some good somewhere. Please give full respect for the sheep to Kosmas Santosa on flickr: https://www.flickr.c...N03/13968164661 He is the inventor of the sheep. The sheep is very great because you can read all sorts of emotions into it. If you want to use my pictures for educational or whatever reasons, just do it. Ask me and I'll even send you the powerpoint file.
