Hello, this is my first proper thread so forgive me if it’s a little amateurish in layout. With that said i’d like to begin by saying i’ve been working on this project on and off for a few years to get my 75054 AT-AT walking, having tried out the mechanism for the official LEGO walking AT-AT i’ve found that it is not stable enough nor satisfying. Since then I have been through multiple iterations of trying to get each leg moving but with only one off the ground at a time. As you can see in the pic from DK’s StarWars Vehicles book the mechanism for connecting and moving the lower leg relative to the upper leg seems to be similarly joined enough that it can be replicated using a linkage but making those linkages move in the correct sequence is the difficult part. The ankle on an AT-AT keeps three legs at a time level in the ground as well as lifts one other leg by moving it up when it takes a step. I have only ever found one person who has managed this in a non LEGO model so it’s possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=34tgu7ULkeM&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.uk%2F&source_ve_path=Mjg2NjY&feature=emb_logo That was 15 years ago. Here are some of my attempts: These two images use two sets of half beams to raise, lower and flatten the beams holding the leg, allowing up down movement, connected to the lower half beams are some linkages to move the leg back and forth, the fault of this one is it was not smooth nor stable. front Back (blue and red beams provide strength) This mechanism uses clutch gears going in a forward direction to move the bars down, half beams make them move up and down in turn, this reduced vertical space taken up, the failure of this is lack of connection points and strength as well as clutch gears probably not being able to support the weight. This was the most promising one, strong too but was unfortunately not quite walking in the right motion, it was not fully stable either. From further study I have noticed that the legs only bend in one direction so i’ve placed a stopper on each one to mimic this, I imagine this will add to the challenge. But i’ve seen people on eurobricks work magic with technic so I figured I should ask here for some help to find a solution.

I created this and posted it online (mainly in FB groups, here on Eurobricks and Flickr) in December 2018 - based heavily on the old Lego 9493 X Wing Fighter, as that was the most recent X Wing model that I owned at the time...One year later in December 2019, Lego gave a similar looking ''Christmas themed X Wing Fighter'' to their staff as a Christmas gift which looks to be based more on the newer 75218 set. I emailed the Lego company asking if they'd been inspired by my idea and they replied with a polite 'no but we like yours more'... what do you guys think? :DThat Lego staff gift set is now changing hands for big bucks on the 2nd hand market, but at least you can now have instructions for the original for FREE as I've uploaded them onto Rebrickable!A lovely Christmas gift for any Star Wars Lego fan + a great display piece at Christmas to bring some Star Wars love to your living room :)

Introduction; I believe that many among us have made a MOC that they like, but think that something is missing and want to change it somehow to make it look better or emphasize in the story-telling. Among them, here I am! This MOC, follows my previous attempt and continues my story from where it was left! The Story; "...In a galaxy far, far away, somewhere in a corner of it, there is an unknown and isolated planet. Despite the initial disturbance from the clatter and thunder that unsettled the inhabitants of the planet on that festive day, the strange visitors became especially beloved by the local population. Our beloved C-3PO, despite speaking over 3 million languages and dialects, had a hard time getting in touch with them at first, but eventually succeeded and thus added another language to his database. The time was passing pleasantly as our 2 robots tried to find a way to repair their pod so they could continue their journey, enjoying their walks in the blossoming nature with the inhabitants of this isolated planet, until once again a bang and a thunder shocked the calm atmosphere that was prevailing..." I am looking forward for your comments! You can find additional pictures of my creation on my FlickR

I’m currently working on an AT-AT project using technic for a movie accurate walking mechanism and I also want to incorporate a somewhat movie accurate missile launcher. In the movie when an AT-AT fires it’s “chin weapons” the cannons recoil backwards (you can see this here): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wfuRpZAcTJk I’d like to see if I could implement that motion to trigger the smaller 4x1 brick spring loaded missile launchers which came in 75054 AT-AT (the set i’m working with). However as you can see the space below the head in this model (a recreation in bricklink studio by someone else) is fairly small: https://file.bricklink.info/19/797/797807.png I’ve been through a few iterations but nothing really any good and i’ve seen some wonders in compact mechanisms here so I thought i’d ask for some help.

More images can be found here: https://www.bricklink.com/r3/studio/design.page?idModel=556822 (I used a flashlight to illuminate the neon signs) Inspired by S3 E8 (Evil Plans) of Star Wars the Clone Wars animated series, I decided to build this for my Coruscant entry. Two wookie friends eagerly wander the busy marketplace, going from stall to stall to see what each seller has to offer. A local cyborg is offering to sell a new hyperdrive, Power couplings and even a new R2 unit! As a small Easter egg, I included 3PO and R2 in the alleyway, entering the colorful marketplace. This Jedi has just come out of hiding from the Empire on Coruscant. He whizzes through the air on his speeder. Patrolling Stormtroopers spot the wanted Jedi and start firing! Switching into auto-pilot, the brave Jedi activates his lightsaber and leaps onto the windscreen to deflect the blasts. The speeder was especially fun to design, and I am very glad with how it came out. It is custom design.

Introduction; This MOC is my first attempt, specified in landscape, of this size. The Story; "... In a galaxy far far away, somewhere in one of its corners, there is an unknown and isolated planet. In the center of the area where life has been developed, lies its oldest structure. A stone column with unknown carvings. But this is not the only peculiar thing about it. Every year, it lights up on its own and an abrupt hum is emitted. The next moment, something magical is happening! It's like the whole planet is coming alive - a heady aroma is overflowing everywhere, the flowers bloom, animals wake up and everyone enjoys this magical moment. This day has arrived, and all three tribes of the planet have gathered to celebrate the day of life. Everything rolls pleasantly, until a clank and a thunder shakes the calm atmosphere that prevails ... " 1. Honoring the Monolith MOC by George Patelis, on Flickr 2. Crashing Site 3. Crash Crater 7. Ep1 Ep2 Ep3 Ep4 Most of the Imperial troops are near the Generator, as well the rebels. Our squad just reached the sector with a little difficulty. Shock Trooper - We need to find a way bypass this lake. The good news, we can see the shield generator from here. TG-0222 - Yes finally we're so close to the objective. BN-0303 - Sir, I receive an incoming message. the enemy has reached the generator and it activated the security systems. So our troops need to find a base and switch off the force field.

Movements: We would like to move 4 left to H13, if that is not possible, then as far Left and Down. The fierce battle above Endor was just getting started, as Beltar and the forces of the Consolation had been deployed to the surface of the Forest Moon to reinforce the shield generator in case there were any injured men in the battle. Beltar’s team was deployed north of the Shield Generator, and the team has been traveling checkpoint to checkpoint on their way. These checkpoints are of note, as they were set up by the Empire as possible construction sites many months ago. Due to the discovery of a better location, often these sites would yield left over supplies that could come in handy as Imperials arrive and march through the thick forests of Endor. Beltar’s squad has been nothing but tense the last few hours. They seem to sense that something bad will happen. . TK-1702: Sir, we’ve checked all the crates. Not too much of note here. Grabbed a couple extra blasters and their charge packs. There’s also some general equipment that isn’t essential. But it looks as if someone rummaged through here recently… We should get moving. Colonel Oppenheimer: Hm… Alright Major Diaz. I’ll- Beltar: Colonel! Colonel Oppenheimer: Yes Commander? Beltar: I’ve just received word from the Consolation. The battle is turning messy. We are probably going to be needed ASAP back in the medbay as soon as we are done down here. Colonel Oppenheimer: Well then. We better get moving. We need to make good time… Less rest then.. *sigh* As the Colonel went to address the rest of the men, Beltar and Major Diaz were left do themselves. TK-1702: Betlar- between you and me. I don’t like this. I’ve seen eyes in the trees. We’re being watched. Beltar: I’ve gotten that feeling too. It’s not the rebels though. Perhaps the natives, I’ve heard some strange stories from you and men that where here before. TK-1702: Perhaps… I didn’t get to much contact with them when I was here though. I’ve been told the natives like to get up close since they don’t have effective ranged weapons…I just hope we reach the shield generator before the Rebels. And get out of here even faster. Beltar: Agreed. Colonel Oppenheimer: Let’s get going! We are only 9 Clicks from the Generator according to command. With a little luck we’ll be able to avoid Rebel entanglements and perhaps meet up with other forces. TK-1702: And if we don’t reach the generator in time or get jumped by Rebels or Emperor knows what else? Beltar: The Evac point is to the 7 Clicks west of the Generator. It’s a beach point. TK-1702: Well. Good to know. I got a bad feeling about this. Colonel Oppenheimer: Cut the chatter- let’s get moving. I don’t like this either but we need to go. ==== More Pics: ==== Well that wraps it up for this episode build! This was a fun build, lots of terrain for me to mess around with. And a LOT of foliage. (Nearly every loose foliage part that I have went to this!) Inching towards when the Death Star II blows… It’s going to be a fun storytelling moment. (Like in the new Battlefront II) My excitement toward SoNE 2.0 is also growing! I think it’ll be great to show our characters in the aftermath of Endor and what happens afterwards. Oh yeah- Beltar has a new head. Finally! Less generic-ness! Also, comments and criticism welcome! ~Beltar

This is my version of the iconic Rebel Alliance A-Wing as seen in Return of the Jedi. I have all the official Lego versions but have never been happy with their overall design of such an iconic ship (though the figure selection with each set has been outstanding). I went for a more "beat-up" sort of "used", "it's been a few fights" sort of color scheme, swapping out some of the white plates for a variety of colors to give her the idea that the Rebel Techs have had to scrounge for parts to keep her flying. For display purposes I had to use my display stand I built for my TIE Interceptor as my A-Wing is heavy and not balanced (she's rear heavy). I also wanted to finish this MOC up before The Last Jedi comes out as there are versions of the A-Wing in that movie as well which ultimately means I'll be building another A-Wing MOC at some point once more reference material is obtained. I'm not totally satisfied with the landing gear arrangement, so at some point I'm going to redesign how the skids are attached/deployed to the underside. Comments as always are welcome. Hello Guys ! I show you my MOC of the TIE Fighter with the STARWARS REBELS Design. I'm inspired by the awesome "TIE Fighters short film" on YouTube too. I'm trying to be the more "accurate" I can! I'm proud of my cockpit design which has a very good shape! :) I regret just a small space between the canopy and the rest of the cockpit. Moreover, the panels ("wings") are relatively heavy for the structure. The consequence is this creation is NOT for playing! Because the structure is a little bit too fragile for that! If you are interested, I sell the building instructions (PDF + Partlist.xls) 5 euros. I have to finish these instructions. My instructions are not free to help me a little to continue to build other things and to "protect" my work... I hope you understand. My website : https://bricksfeeder.wixsite.com/bricksfeeder On Rebrickable : https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-10510/BricksFeeder/tie-fighter-starwars-rebels-design/#comments UPDATE (30/10/2017) : With RUSTINIDIEL, we found a way to improve the strength of the structure. Now, You can grab the TIE By the cockpit (not by just one wing) and put in on the air and different positions. BUT be careful ! You still have to take it not as a brute or too quickly. This TIE is still made for dioramas, or collection (static positions) An updated building instructions was made. For the person who already bought my instructions, I will send the updated version for free. :) My YouTube Video : See you soon! :) You can see my other topics : ITT : [MOC] ITT (Imperial Troop Transport) from SW Rebels TIE Advanced Prototype : [MOC] TIE Advanced Prototype (aka Inquisitor's TIE) from SW Rebels A-Wing (McQuarrie / SW Rebels Design) : [MOC] A-Wing (McQuarrie / SW Rebels Design) Batman's Batmech : [MOC] Batman's Batmech Speeder Bike 614-AVA : [MOC] Speeder bike 614-AvA

Hi This is my entry for the Freighter Wars Contest . When it was announced, I seem an opportunity to build not your regular Technic model and I really enjoyed the experience This model is based on the YT-2400 Outrider,. As you may see, it has some modifications as the color scheme, canons instead turrets and a longer rear of the cockpit (I don't know how it is called) My main goal was built it with only existent Technic parts and make all details with Technic pieces, avoiding System parts as possible. In the end I used a LA, perpendicular connectors, towballs, axles, busshes etc for the details and only 5 tiles and 3 dishes. Also I wanted to create the body an getting the shape using Panels as much as I could to give an uniform, sleek appearance. (The new 3x13 curved panel in black was really useful) Since there is not a room and time due contest for functions, the only one is function is rotating canons using the central vent of the rear as knob. The model was partially built in real life, but I ran out of pieces because it was a side project. Also the color combination was really bad (White and bright green) So decided to finish it on LDD - despite all difficulties of building with Technic on LDD - and then this color combination comes that really pops out and is possible to build in real life. Unfortunately, right know is not possible for my to build it, since a lack so many black panels..... Someday... For now there are some pics/renders . Hope you like it

Hi, today I'm going to review the most famous piece of 'junk' in the galaxy far far away, The Millennium Falcon! This is actually a series one micro fighter version of Millennium Falcon. Introduction There are quite a number of Millennium Falcon released by LEGO in various sizes throughout the years. I've compiled the list of LEGO Millennium Falcons via Google and I found 10 different model here. 7190 Millennium Falcon (2000) 4488 Mini Millennium Falcon (2003) 4504 Millennium Falcon (2004) 10179 Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon (2007, UCS) 7778 Midi-scale Millennium Falcon (2009, mid-scale) 7965 Millennium Falcon (2011) 7958 Star Wars Advent Calendar (Along with other vehicles) 75030 Millennium Falcon (2014, Microfighters) 75105 Millennium Falcon (2015) 75192 Millennium Falcon (2017, UCS) However today, let's focus on the micro fighter version. Overview Name: 75030 Millennium Falcon Theme: Star Wars Subtheme: Micro Fighters Year: 2014 Pieces: 94 Minifigures: Han Solo Price: £8.99 / $9.99 / 9.99€ / RM49.90 Resources: Brickset The Box The front of the box features the Millennium Falcon flying through the galaxy with a Death Star image at the bottom right corner of the box. At the back you can see the flick cannon function and all six models of series one micro fighters. The only minifigure in this set gets featured as the 1:1 picture at the side of the box. The box is quite small, but they are quite nice if you put all six boxes together. The Instruction Manual The booklet is quite thin staplered together. I like the light weighed book as it was easy to flip through. The booklet is folded in half to fit in the small square box. After all, it stays quite well while building if you fold the booklet like this. The Build Wow, in a small model I'm surprised that it took the shape of the base of the ship in just a few steps building. The half round rear and both the forward mandible has already taking shape in this picture. I really love the color scheme used here. The combination of trans red, trans blue and dark red mixed well with the greys of the whole ship. It's quite amazing that the designers actually put a little bit of effort for the interiors of the ship. Despite being showed outside, these areas won't be appreciated after the completed build as they can't be opened. So let us put some imagination here. The trans red cones at the centre of the ship might have been the game room and the light saber practice chamber for Luke. The modified 1x1 bricks at the side added some rod like structure as details at both side of the ship. The interiors are then closed by these quarter circle plates. Then a seat for Han is installed behind the base of the cockpit. Both the forward mandible was strenghtened by the 1x3 with one side slope. Then the whole ship was covered by this 6x6 round plate which added some layering details to the ship. A 2x2 round tile was placed at the side as the escape pods. In larger Millennium Falcon, there should be two escape pods at both side of the ship but in this small model, there is insufficient space to put the other one. The top view of the partially finished build. Its quite dull with only grey color present here so the last few steps are to add details on this grey canvas. These are the 'legs' of the ship which used 2x2 plates and 2x2 round tiles. I liked the sphere looking landing pads here. The buldging of the round tiles added some height to the model and it surprised me that the bottom of this model looks good too! (Even with all those anti studs here). This printed part is representing the cockpit of the ship. Its not exclusive to the set but it only appeared in three sets including this one and one SDCC set. So its quite valuable, don't lose it! Haha.. Quad laser cannons are the only play feature here whereby you install these two flick cannons at the top of the Millennium Falcon. So now the canvas is painted with these 1x1 wonderful tiles. The sensor dish is presented with this round dish attached to a T shaped rod, so miniature and brilliant choice of bricks to be used here. The two dark red tiles really added much detail and color to the grey here. Tadaaa!!! This is the completed build of the model. The flick cannons, sensor dish and the cockpit installed! Look at the windshield, its so small to even cover the hand of the pilot, lol. You can view this model at every angle of this Millennium Falcon in this picture. The color scheme is really very eye catching especially if you are a Star Wars fan. The Minifigure Han Solo in the black vest is the only minifigure in this set. He came with a small blaster and the iconic outfit and dark blue jeans with belt. He is not exclusive to this set where he appeared in 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina too. This is the Han that appeared in episode four where he bragged about his beloved Millennium Falcon in Mos Eisley Cantina. He has angry face as the alternate facial expression of this minifigure. The back of the torso is also very nicely printed. Conclusion I love this very cute build of the Millennium Falcon in this set! Small but packed with so much details is definitely a very worthy ship to own! Review Summary Playability: 5/10 - Flick cannons are easy to lose if you really play with it, lol. Design / Building Experience: 9/10 - Very nice building techniques and amazingly detailed exterior and interiors with only small bricks and tiles. Minifigures: 8/10 - Han Solo is the owner of this ship, so he is very suitable to be in the set. The prints are very similar to the outfit in the movie too. Overall: 9/10 - Its a must buy but too bad its retired. With the latest 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon coming, this set would be a very cute companion to be displayed alongside with the big ones. Nice gathering with the ship as background! Can it fly off and come back as the UCS version? Haha..

I thought this would be relevant as the new characters from The Last Jedi have all been revealed. Of course, if your favorite character isn't a new one, that's fine too. I'll start, as my favorite character right now is probably Grand Admiral Thrawn. He has been around for a while, although recently he has been getting more attention. I like his backstory, and the new novel Thrawn sheds more light onto his rise through Imperial ranks. Mods, if this is already a topic please feel free to merge/remove.

Hello all, Many of you may have come across my father JimH in previous forums related to this topic. If you have read any of his posts, you would understand that I am one of the five winners of Lego Magazine's 14k Solid Gold C-3PO Lego mini figure giveaways from the Spring/Summer of 2007. As I am much older now and will be graduating from college in the Spring, my desire to sell the piece has increased. The revenue generated from selling the figure will help put me in a nicer financial standing as I head off into the real world. I will have my father comment on this thread as proof that I am his son and owner of the C-3PO figure. If you have any questions about the piece itself, estimates to what it is worth, or would like to make an offer on the piece, please do not hesitate to post in this thread or email me directly at -removed- May the force be with you! P.S. I am aware that my father has posted pictures of the figure in the past. Unfortunately, I am currently working as an intern away from home this summer. However, once I am back in a few weeks I plan to post updated pictures of the figure for further proof.
