This MOC of author H.G. Wells' time-traveling vehicle from the novel 'The Time Machine' (specifically this MOC is inspired by the excellent 1960 movie version) was designed by user D3ner over on Rebrickable. You can see those free instructions here, though it requires major modifications to be buildable in real life. My brother re-built that MOC digitally in Studio and edited it for me to make it more stable and look better. This model completes my Time Machine collection* and has technically been built since mid-December, but wasn't completed until today when my brother found me an Steampunk Inventor fig from CMF series 27 at Walmart. (Thanks bro!) The Inventor fig fits perfectly with the time machine, and his hat just barely fits over the top of the seat, almost like they were made for each other. *My five time machines include: Bill & Ted's Phonebooth The TARDIS BTTF Time Train BTTF DeLorean H.G. Wells' Time Machine Thoughts? (Also, @Peppermint_M, if you think this belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it where you see fit. I honestly wasn't sure where to put this MOC.)

Not sure where to place it, but it's more realistic than sci-fi, so here is my latest build: Another year has passed, Lily is wandering on the streets of the Imperial City during fall, the many leaves cause some minor troubles for the people, but Lily is enjoying all the colorful leaves around town. She is also watching a marvelous steam powered leaf mulcher which is also shredding some of the leaves next to the service station. ~ The Imperial City Guard is again doing his rounds on the streets, this time with a nice fur coats to guard against the cold wind. One of my favourite Disney movies from my childhood was Atlantis: The Lost Empire, I loved the industrial machines and the cartoon art style which was like a comic book and enjoyed the story and its characters a great deal. Set in the early 1900’s, the film follows a young linguist named Milo Thatch who dreams of one day fulfilling his grandfather’s dream of finding the lost city of Atlantis. I recently decided to fulfil my childhood dream of designing a full range of sets based on the movie in the style of official LEGO sets, all in LDD. I have a total of 6 sets finished so far and will be posting them here one by one from smallest to biggest, I hope you enjoy them! 01. Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire, The Shepherd's Journal The hero’s journey begins when he is approached by a mysterious woman called Helga Sinclair who introduces him to Preston Whitmore, a billionaire industrialist who knew his grandfather. In his office Milo is given the all-important artefact to begin the quest: The Shepard’s Journal, which includes maps and clues which only he can read which will guide an expedition to finding the lost city. This small set marks the beginning of the adventure featuring: - Preston B. Whitmore, Milo Thatch and Helga Sinclair minifigures - The Shepard’s Journal book - Printed tiles representing the portfolio papers of the expedition specialists and crew - A miniature model of the Ulysses, the massive submarine which the expedition begins the journey on - The fireplace, fish tank and a globe from the office as well as several small statues and other artefacts in Whitmore’s collection. The model contains approximately 105 pieces. 02. Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Sub Pod The expedition starts off aboard the Ulysses, a massive submarine, but is soon attacked by a gigantic mechanical sea monster known as the Leviathan. To defend itself the Ulysses deploys many small submarines called Sub-Pod’s which are armed with torpedoes to battle the monster. Features include: - Gaetan "Mole" Moliére and Vincenzo "Vinny" Santorini minifigures - 8 flick-fire torpedoes mounted on the two main fins of the pod which can also rotate - Opening cockpit which can fit both minifigures - Spinning propeller The model contains approximately 194 pieces. If you like these models please support them on LEGO Ideas here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/151747 and here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/151758 Thanks for viewing!

The Isle of Steam got only one huge city on it, Coghallow. Almost large of the isle it self. Deep in the island, there is the heart of the engine, that keeps it in the air. They are the descendants of the builders, who created this steam powered eden. Mostly gnomes live here, they are 58% of the population. They are higher ranking officers, tinkerers. The next large group is the dwarf, they are 27% of the population. mostly guards, craftsman and workers. The goblins population is low, 15%, they are the reasons, why the city needs guards. Also, thecity is full with golems, and clockwork workers, who helps the residents, in their life. Golden Golem These guardians protecting high ranking members of the society. It says, they are useing the same gold, what the buyer gives to the golem maker. Steam Golem The pinnacle of golem making! They bound the wild airelementals in this enhanced armour. On that day, the golem serves its master Clockwork Nurse In this so much tinkering, sometimes the parents forget to take care their infants. The ide was to creat some one, who can tutor the next generation of tinkerers. Clockwork Carrier-bot This machines are stationed at the docks, ready to carries your bourden. Just simply wind them up, and put your things in the hands, it will follow you. Goblin Crime Lord Not every society is perfect. This too isn't. Not every member works together to achive their goals, someones are making troubles, makes accidents, or just steals the good ideas. And yes of course, they are mostly goblins. Goblin Electician It's not true, to call them "electician". They are simply brave or dumb enough to touch the wires, and to connect them. At least, they are using something protection. Dwarven Vault Guard They are guarding their precious metals. Some times massive 3 lb. thick steel doors can't keep the thieves away, a grumpy dwarf needed to stand there too. Dwaren Forge Master Master blacksmiths. They are not crafting, just supervising the process. Equiped with a hammer and a welding tool, he can give advices, or can correct, or quick repair the work. Dwarven Steam Guard The main law enforcements in the city. They are patroling with the latest weapons, to serve the public. Steam powered blunderbuss both efficient and intimidating. Gnomish Council Member The huge city on the Isle of Steam is governed by the Council of Minds. Each member also the mayor of their own district. With the Key of the district, they can wind up any construction, or building. Gnomish Maintenance Sometimes a clockwork worker isn't efficient for the job. Insight and improvisation is required in some situation in the Heart of the Machine. Gnomish Mailman Huge amounts of information exchanges hosts day after day. The best ways notyet been discovered, so they relies on mails. The best mailmans can deliver a hundred mails in a day. Gnomish Skyknight Don't think them, wearing shining armor, and swinging great swords. It's a title for the best pilotes in the islands aircraft. Gnomish Alchemist The Philosopher's Stone is no longer a goal. To create new materials, help fight diseases, impove, and make the life easier on the island, thats their new goal. Gnomish Engineering Graduated Fresh from the University of Engieering! With that paper in his hands, now he can legally thinkering, and making experiments, without the society banish them. Gnomish Paramedic Broken bone, fever, migraine, leaking oil tank? Dont worry you need to find a Paramedic on the street. It's sure they got something to save your life. Or make worse. Gnomish Golem Creator Pillars of the created society. Their constructs helped,to build up the city, Coghallow, almost from nothing. After the elemental crisis, even more take refuge here. Gnomish Outcast G The residents don't believe in death sentence. They simply banish the person, who comited the crime. They make a complex calculation about what was the deed, and they can't return during that time. If the time is right, the outcasted must find a way to get home.

Conrad left the boat. He now stads in the docks of Coghallow. As he looked around, he saw many flying ships, from the smallest, to the bigest. Many strange metal man carrying barrels and boxes in the nearby warehouse. - It's good to feel solid ground under our feet. - Cogfizz smiled next to him. - Come, I got thing that may you be interested, and I can give you as payment. Conrad started following the gnome, while he was looking around. Anywhere he looked, every building moved. Wheels and cogs turned, smoke came from every chimney, huge machines hummed gently. They walked away from the docks, and arrived to a square, with a fountain in the center. The residents stopped for a moment, everyone was looking at Conrad. - What's the matter with them Cogfizz? - Conrad lowered his voice, and asked his companion. - Most of the never saw someone, from the outer world. - replied Cogfizz. - Actually, you are the first outsider on the isle. But don't worry, we aren't gonna throw you out, like, you almost did to me... The residents of Coghallow accepts everyone, in the city, sooner or later. This way please. They continued the tour, as they went deeper in the city, Conrad had, more and more questions. And in the same time, he got more and more amazed, about the things he saw. - If there anything you want to know, just ask it. - Cogfizz broke the silence. I Conrad did't know, where start: - Erm... How did you keep this whole island in the air? Is it magic? - A bit of both magic and science. Our ancestors created a crystal, which can float, and increased its power, with energy, what we can create. They a conversation started between them. At first, Conrad asked, and Cogfizz replied to him, but later only Cogfizz was the only one, who talked. The Lore of Coghallow, and how science and magic can work together: Many centuries ago, the ancestors of theisland, were lived on the main continent. They were, engineers, scientist, scholars, tinkerer and philosophers. Many profession, but common in one thing, they weren't acknowledged. The mages and sorcerers didn't accepted their studies. They didn't wanted to fuse science and magic, they don't believed, they can achive much more, if they work together. The mages outcasted them, so did the society. They decided, to move awayfrom Historica. They went to the west, with ships. They found a island, full with natural resources, including heat sources. They start building their little society, from pebbles and sticks. Later, they were able to creat golems, to help speed up the process. The heat sources give them new ideas, how to make use of them, and that was the dawn of the Age of Steam, which, is still on. Their Ancestors achived, what they couldn't achive on the continent. Created a society, where magic and science can create a better life. And pictures about the building, and others:

High-resolution version on Flickr This was built at the same time as my other steampunk builds and displayed at Skærbæk 2016, just never got around to taking a photo of it. I may have to do another shot to better show how the glider is built. Was tempted to change the simplistic style of the base, but decided it was better to keep the same so it didn't stand out too much. Comments are welcome!

Hi, With my friend Aeros67, we decided to start a new project based on a steampunk world, named "Uchronia Vaporium". Short story: "Steam reigns in this world where two factions "clash" to extract all the power: on one side, the Continentals, a military faction that dreams only of conquests, seek to appropriate the plans of a new generation of self-propelled motor-booster, invented by the Islanders' faction, explorers who aspire only to live in peace and harmony. But everything is not so simple..." Here are the first pieces of this project : * The Skyplane : * Insula, the main place of the Islander's faction : Flickr album here : https://www.flickr.com/photos/stephle59/albums/72157687957606263 We will publish more pics soon.

Something I created last night in the studio. Honestly, I wanted to make a gritty, steam-punk inspired airship, mixing pieces parts from the Ninjago: Skybound 70603 Raid Zeppelin, 70601 Sky Shark, and Day of the departed 70592 Salvage M.E.C. All that I got from that was another pile of bricks. Also, a pilotable mech suit for Pirates. My inspiration was the Skeleton Mech that came with Ronin's Salvage M.E.C. Honestly, I wanted to make a diving suit for my LEGO CMF Series 8 Diver. After putting it together and taking it apart and rearranging the pieces so many times, I ultimately converted the Diving suit into a fully weaponized battle suit for the Brickbeard Pirates. Looking at the build, it looks like an extremely scaled down version of Kai's 70721 Fire Mech. Another source of inspiration, is Captain Metalbeard from the LEGO Movie. By far my favorite character, and set, from the entire thing. (I have made heavy modifications to stock Metalbeard from 70807 Metalbeard's Duel, as well as build from scratch with instructions, An Evil Robot variation of Metalbeard I've come to call Steelbeard. The foot on the left leg is the only thing I dislike about the entire build. It seems flimsy as it is supporting the entire thing, and consists of two bricks. I do like the grating on the angle piece, to make it look like a boot tread though. The major difference between this Moc, and traditional Steam Punk, is that this is more in line with the golden age of Piracy. Ergo, in lieu of a Steam Boiler, this battlesuit is fueled by Rum, grog, or anything else foul smelling that can burn in a boiler. Bilge Punk, if you would prefer to call it anything.

Hi all. This MOC was built for the building battle with another AFOL men. It was a dispute about trains. I like friends sets and bright colors in them. I sure that train will look interesting and lovely with bright colors, but my opponent think that trains must be only in classic city style colors. Admins of local website proposed us a prototype for build. A prototype is really exotic. Your can see full video here http://steampunk.won...-steam-0161603/. It is steampunk train ship with heavy gun. I built my model in friends style with colors your can usually see in friends sets. In my mind “friends” is noproblemgirls with smiling nice pets and complete set of kitchenware. Now I want to show your results. This is a prototype: [/url] This is a result: The train-ship have some functions, your can see here: https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be And it not agressive, the elixir of happiness in the guns. Thanks for your attention.

Location: C06 Hyreal Tags: MANTIS, land vehicle, spying Double D's log 27: I must be going crazy. First I forget all of what happened in two weeks aside from a strange relic thing, and now I feel like I'm back in time, but in the future...sort of? All I know is my mission: to continue punching holes in Kawashita's barrels that hold water for their experimental hydraulic plants here on Hyreal. The barrels were the ones being extracted from Kawashita's extraction and purification plants. It seems that Kawashita decided to spread out its merchandise so that they wouldn't have single-point targets. The hovercraft, which my friend accurately called the 'hoverchair,' that I get to use kind of bounces as it moves, and it turns in a drift-like motion. It took a while to get used to, but it's now natural, and even quite fun to drive! It is much faster than any steam powered ground vehicle, and the uneven landscape didn't cause any trouble but rather made my getaways a snap! Kawashita uses landships which are far too slow to catch up to my advanced, one-person hoverchair. Once I spotted a tank, I was out and away, leaving a bunch of empty barrels behind me. Thankfully, the MANTIS™ Spyglass© really made spotting Kawashitan equipment easy as it made anything red stand out from the other colors. In fact, depending on the angle of the crystal, the spyglass could highlight most ranges of color - a real breakthrough in spying technology! I was also equipped with a sweet pistol that shot extra-large lead bullets which were perfect for making holes in all of Kawashita's barrels ~ DD out

Finally! After a long hiatus of not building anything (that collab project I did really did drain my creativity for a while afterwards ), I'm back with a new MOC. Though I may well have made it just to show off my latest rare acquisition... Kulta's mask in Pearl Gold! Surprise, surprise - it's another original creation Skull Villain from me. Skull Smasher, a hugely successful wrestler in his previous life during the age of Steampunk and given new life by "mysterious forces", is an eloquent brute who towers above even Kulta, and could "accidentally" squash a Protector underneath his feet and throw Toa around like they were a dog's chew toy. Even Kulta himself dares not underestimate Smasher's sheer power, as Smasher could crush Kulta in an instant in one of his huge hands. But don't think Smasher is all brawn and no brains or class. Smasher is incredibly vain as far as Skull Villains go. He never goes out without wearing his feather and velvet robes, held together with his lucky golden bone. Show him a mirror or give him a camera (he'll stop mid-fight and take a selfie of him crushing his victims) and you'll probably distract the titan enough to get past him... or land the killing blow on him. Selfies are dangerous things! Anyway, onto some full pictures then! An interesting side note: He got named "Smasher" not because of his giant hands, but due to the fact that I was listening to a lot of the rock band The Offspring while building him, and they have an album named "Smash". So there you go This is actually the first time I've ever tried to do something even vaguely Steampunk themed (though my second creation done in this sort of colour scheme, the first being my dragon, Golden Furious), so it's probably not perfect. Comments and obscure references all appreciated

1924: Scottish Expedition led by adventurer Mr. Roy McBridge, equipped with Clam-type heavy diving suit, discovers the ancient ruins of the legendary New Atlantis at the bottom of the North Sea. This little diorama was built for Finnish LUG Palikkatakomo's summer contest with the theme of "finding, discovering". The idea was simply to build something around the top part of that diving mecha I had tablescrapped last winter. More photos can be found on my blog. Enjoy.

Hi all ! Here's something i've been working on for the past couple of days, and i wanted to show you some lil' preview. Yeah, you can cal that teasing ! All in LDD right now, as i'm unemployed i got some spare time, but i'm also running extra low on cash so can't buy parts for now. But they'll sur be build, as i've the idea of a complete universe ( cars, town parts, modular homes, ... ) Sorry for the LDD pics, but the rendering technique of mecabricks/blender don't work as some parts aren't available on mecabricks, gotta have povray. Here is a range of cars/"motorcycles" and a huge machine. More to come when i'll find the way to build them. I tried to make those, like my funicular, as realistic as possible yet steampunkish, with gears/engines/boilers/etc. They are minifig scale, width wise, but must be longer than what may be usual ... The huge machine is the road maker, sent where there's no path for cars to make some. I'll do some detailed pics of every one of course AS always, comments and critics are appreciated ! Hope you like it

Hi all ! After a long time without using ldd or building, I'm here right back at it ! I lost all my ldd files, building instructions and everything after a bike crash ( my computer was in my bag ), so no more BIG steampunk train to build ...After that crash, i kinda lost my motivation to anything except riding 15k km per year once recovery was done, and working as much as i could. Now, i got a computer, ldd and soon ldd to pov, so here i am. This model is a display model, kinda like a work of style, just to redefine the style and the components i like. It'a a funicular, or a cable car, power by some sort of steam engine. I think i got now the steampunk style, with a lot a brown parts, some gold details, and big machinery. It's still a work in progress, as i does not have a real smokestack yet, need to figure it out. It will be my guideline for the playable model, as i'll build in LDD and i hope in real life, a minifg scale of this one, and other vehicules/scenes etc. The mechanic is non working, but i hope i'll find a way to use it on the minifig scale one. As pics tell more more than words, here they come ! (i'll start using pov ray soon, so better rendering to come) I've hidden the roof to let you see the interior, with leather blankets and wood everywhere. You can see the luggage rack and the lights too. just for fun, the scale of this funicular is big. Hope you like it, comments and criticas are welcome.
