Hello there, some time ago I started to build a Star Wars diorama. It is the first diorama of this series, because I want to build all episodes. In this model are two main scenes of the first episode. On one side you see young Anakin screwing his Pod Racer on Tatooine. On the other side, you can see the battle on Naboo between Qui-Gon-Jinn and Darth Maul: If you are interested in the model, you can check it out on rebrickable at the following link: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-108496/SimonsBrickWorld/the-phantom-menace-episode-i-scenery/#details There I have posted the model with instructions.

Hi This MOC is the first in a series, the idea of which was spawned by the release of set 75167 - Bounty Hunter Speeder-Bike Battle Pack. I never had a clear idea of the scale I was building in, and only a basic idea of what he would look like, so he evolved over time. As he got bigger he needed constant redesigning to prevent him collapsing under his own weight. It's been nearly 5 years in the making, with a lot of learning along the way. I hope you like it! Here is the 2021 update of our Star Wars collaborative layout titled "Desert Wars". It was displayed during the Walug exhibition that took place on the racing circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium during the weekend of October 23/24. This year, it reach the impressive length of 10 meters, which, so far, it is our longest layout, better than the 8.50m version presented in Antwerp in 2019. A smaller version of over 6m will be displayed in Antwerp on November 20 and 21. To fully capture the size and organisation of the layout, I suggest you start watching the video. Because taking good pictures of a 10m-long layout is quite complicated and frustrating. Desert Wars 2021 - Full video by Veynom, on Flickr If you say "collaborative" then you must think "team" therefore I will start by presenting the team members before detailing the layout sub-sections. Hello there, I'm lucky enough to have a secondary flat at the seaside with a small stock of bricks. As I spent most of my summer holidays there this year, I used my time to build small MOCs, simple stuff, with no particular ambition. The exercice is often about how to use a particular part (NPU), how to make something with colors I use less, and still build mainly Star Wars creations with only what I have at hands (Creator, Friends, City bricks). Here are the various resulting MOCs: My Own Creations - Summer 2023 by Veynom, on Flickr I started with a small vignet, kind of a hangar where I used some clones from the 212th. 212th in action by Veynom, on Flickr If the base is 2-brick high, it is because the dark red ground part is mostly made from slopes (originally from a house roof). 212th in action by Veynom, on Flickr My daughter asked me then to build a kind of weapon shop for smugglers. I built this small bounty hunter outpost, ready to welcome scums and other vilains. I used almost all tan parts I had. Random outpost by Veynom, on Flickr Being close to the beach allowed me to make some cool pictures... Who just said "Tatooine"? Random outpost by Veynom, on Flickr Random outpost by Veynom, on Flickr Lack of tan parts forced me to be creative in many places. Random outpost by Veynom, on Flickr After the outpost, I built more speeders. Starting with this KH-26 Kaddyr, a kind of mini Opel Blitz, Star Wars way. KH-26 Kaddyr by Veynom, on Flickr It looks really rusty and cobbled together from whatever junk parts. Even its driver is a fishbag minifig. KH-26 Kaddyr by Veynom, on Flickr KH-26 Kaddyr by Veynom, on Flickr KH-26 Kaddyr by Veynom, on Flickr Then there was the KH-27 Pekz, to test color matching between lime and some custom clones purchased by my son. Lime does not work. KH-27 Pekz by Veynom, on Flickr But patrolling on the sea shore is a real pleasure. KH-27 Pekz by Veynom, on Flickr I must confess I would love driving a speeder on the sea side like that ... KH-27 Pekz by Veynom, on Flickr Free instructions for the Pekz are available on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-156286/Veynom/kh-27-pekz-speederbike/#details Another speeder variant came next with the KH-28 Rhak-Skuri KH-28 Rhak-Skuri by Veynom, on Flickr I used blue and white for the colors and the engine exhaust is made from a Friend trophy cup! KH-28 Rhak-Skuri by Veynom, on Flickr KH-28 Rhak-Skuri by Veynom, on Flickr Then, with my son, we started a small contest. The goal was to create a small vignette to display his new custom clones. He started with this nice gate for a clone trooper from the 442nd Siege Battalion: Clone Wars - 442nd Siege Battalion by Veynom, on Flickr I really liked his gate. I retaliated with a stairs from Coruscant streets and Commander Fox: Clone Commander CC-1010 "Fox" by Veynom, on Flickr But finally I settled the score for all by merging both creations into a single one. His gate, my stairs. And the 442nd was back. Clone Wars - 442nd Siege Battalion by Veynom, on Flickr I found some discounted 501st battle packs. Figs are nice (ok compared to the custom ones, they are average) but the proposed canon is ... under average. I decided to use 2 of these sets to make 1 better canon. Mobile artillery platform by Veynom, on Flickr And more pictures at the sea side ... Mobile artillery platform by Veynom, on Flickr This is the new Atlantic Wall: Mobile artillery platform by Veynom, on Flickr Mobile artillery platform by Veynom, on Flickr Mobile artillery platform by Veynom, on Flickr I also made free instructions for that one on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-155900/Veynom/mobile-artillery-platform-from-2x-set-75345/#details Most of these MOCs are already back to the bulk but the purpose is to build, not to keep. And when I build, it means I'm feeling good so I can conclude holidays were nice. Hope you enjoyed these, feel free to mention your preferred creations in the comments.

Hi, as you can see on my nick i´m fullfilling whishes from the past :) I was a big fan and stopped with Lego in the age of 14 like most others here i guess. Then in december of 2015 i bought the new UCS Tie fighter. I saw so much new parts and variations of older ones, couldn´t trust my eyes. 4 days after the Tie i bought the Slave I and build it extra slow over 3 days. It was my first get in touch with real SNOT building. Where to start? somewhere on a big baseplate that needed most of my old parts. Unfortunately i didn´t make that much pictures of building progress. You sure have seen this design before, for the Millenium Falcon but as we know Slave I has also been on Tatoine there is no problem right? :) some € and many hours later, testing different ways to make rectangle bricks round - and also reading a good manual about SNOT i´m finally done. It´s looks too nacked and too clean atm but i´m willing to add much more details to this moc, which was just designed as a "stand" for the UCS. today i added the moisture vaporator, i´m looking for some other minifigures too and want to redesign the small house which looks soooo boring. Opinions welcome

On my first day as part of commander Ulric's unit, we had received concerning orders. The empire had issued a hit list of identified Black Sun spies hiding out on Tatooine who were too dangerous to be left alive. Our target was an imperial officer whose been secretly transmitting imperial records to Prince Xizor. Normally taking out traitors is no trouble, but we couldn't risk tipping off Xizor. We were going to have to make the officer "disappear". Luckily I was always good with a blaster and Tatooine is a terribly unsafe place. So while commander Ulric "escorted" the spy on ground, I took to the roof tops. Even with all the stalls and civilians, the traitor was easy prey. And just as I got the perfect shot, Ulric gave the order. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys, here is my entry for Ep. XIII challenge. It was originally going to be two towers but the pieces I ordered for the second building didn't arrive on time so I decided to downscale the build and included a stall instead. Overall I like how it turned out, smaller than I had intended but I think it now has a little more variation than my original design. So tell me what you guys think and thanks for viewing. Also, sorry about the poor photo quality, I'll try to edit a better photo before the final hour.

We managed to find the wanted Rodian at Mos Eisley, thinking he was just another smuggler trying to hide out on Tatooine. But it turns out he wasn't your everyday space scum. No, this Rodian was caught stealing imperial codes, no doubt to sell them to Rebels. As soon as we called him over he ran and made us chase him down to the flea markets on the outskirts. He was fast and he even tried to use the crowds as cover, probably thinking that we wouldn't shoot, but catching him was more important. Get out of the way! Blasted! He's gonna get away. Aim for his legs. We only need him alive. He tried to hide through the crowd but as soon as blaster shots were fired, a wide path opened leading us straight to him. All it took was a few shots and just like that the Rodian fell to the ground, dropping his blaster and the Imperial codes. Don't move Rebel scum! Call in HQ, tell them to get the interrogation droid ready. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hey guys, back with the final part of my Tatooine intro arc. I tried to make the most of my tan pieces on this build, especially for the cliff side and I also finally got to use those ewok glider cloth pieces I'm so fond of. All in all, I'm pretty happy with this build. So tell me what you guys think and thanks for viewing. Please judge this build.

See the rest of the story: Season 1 Season 2 MKJoshA, Kale, are you there? Yes, we're here. Hold on, your picture isn't coming through right. Ah, there we go. My color balance was off. I need you two to go to Tatooine and investigate the X-wing that fired on Luke to see if we can learn anything more about this saboteur. PLEASE NOTE! The following picture is the "First Picture" for my contest entry and it includes the seed part. The previous pictures were for story sake and should not be counted in the entry. "You there," asked Josh, "droids. What can you tell us about this X-wing?" "Oh my!" responded the protocal droid. "I'm afraid there has been obvious signs of tampering." "The technicians are still dismantlement the circuitry," he continued. "But it seems that certain parts were used that are only manufactured on Coruscant" he finished. "Thank you for the information," said Josh. "Now let's finish the investigation of the circuitry and see if we can flesh out any more details." OoC: Yes, I have gone to the darkside and I have converted to fleshies. I made this decision after chatting with Rogue Angel at Brickworld, Chicago. Every other kind of build of mine will continue to use yellows, but it just makes sense to use fleshies in my Star Wars builds now. I had no idea LucasLaughing was going to do the same thing! I'm really happy with the heads I found to replace my character's old yellow heads. My character is Will Turner's and Kale's is Superman/Hyperion's. Let me know what you think!

Hey LEGO Star Wars Fans, in addition to this year's May the 4th GWP from LEGO (Death Star II Battle), which lines up with last year's GWPs (Battle of Hoth & Battle of Endor), I built a small scene with the same dimensions for Tatooine: (Unforunately I don't own any of the 20 years anniversary tiles from last year, so it had to stay black) I built a digital model afterwards, too and you can find the instructions here: http://brickstats.de/bauanleitungen I know I'm one day too late, but May the 4th be with you, always ;) Cheers, Aldar Beedo

The meeting in Mos Taike had been productive....it seemed that the Socorro Trade Guild may have some need for Oteefo's Engineering skills... But now there was the task of rounding up the crew, Z-5 and Frax were waiting at one of the many dilapidated harvestors scattered throughout the desert, this one had been claimed and repaired by K'vos when he arrived on Tatooine. Traveling in the cities with his droids could be problematic... Frax had done most of the repair work on the harvestors....he was a real wiz with machinery. Z-5 was a bit of a mystery, found...non-functioning...in a garbage heap on Geonosis. He was clearly quite an advanced prototype model...it's unclear why his like never saw production. After emptying the harvestor's hopper, the three settled in for the long ride back to the compound, they would surely not be there by night fall.... Bonus Images:

George Lucas founded Lucasfirms in 1971 and it had created one of the most beloved franchise in the history of entertainment and toys. Fast-forward, and it is the year 2021 -- the year Lucasfilms celebrates its 50th anniversary. So naturally, there has to be a 50th anniversary Star Wars products. This is a nice little gift that would come along with it... Thanks for TLG and Jim to making this review possible. Now let's jump into my 34th RA review, 40451 Tatooine Homestead. Overview Name: 40451 - Tatooine Homestead Theme: Star Wars / Promotional Year: 2021 (1H) Pieces: 234 pieces Minifigures: 0 Price: FREE Gift with Purchase (GWP) -- Qualifying purchase: $85 / €85 / £85 threshold for all Star Wars purchases The promotion would run from 1st May to 5th May 2021. Do check with your local shops for details. Introduction So right off the bat, this is not a set for sale. It is a gift with purchase which you can get from qualifying amount of Star Wars sets purchase as written in the overview section above. Its packaging looks about the same as the other vignette promotional sets released so far. Let's check the details. Front view Front side of the box pretty much over everything it has to show, including the sand of Tatooine, which is coarse and rough, and irritating ...and we all know how the line goes on as Anakin complains. This is the first time that we actually see Luke's childhood home in microscale. If you revisit what was released back in 1999, most of the Tatooine references are just vehicles. There's Landspeeder, Podracers, Desert Skiff, Droid Escape Pod, Watto's Junkyard and so on. There is nothing about Owen and Beru until the Sandcrawler came out in 2014 (actually 2005 as pointed in later in the comments) -- but only with special appearance of Owen Lars trading with the Jawas. Unfortunately, aunt Beru is still missing in action. Back view At the back of the box, we can see how the memorable scene is depicted as it is in the set, with stills from the movie as reference. Those round studs are representing the characters present in that scene. Let's see if you can figure out who is who later Side view Pretty standard side view with that single piece for 1:1 ratio picture. Perhaps that done is chosen to remind us that it represent the actual homestead in Tatooine. Now let's slowly see what's inside. I really like the way this opens like IDEAS set even if it is only a promotional set. Don't you wish all sets open this way? What's inside the box? We get 4 clear plastics bags without any number and an instruction booklet. Build I enjoyed arranging the parts this way... simply because I have nothing else better to do. Right? Right. Just want to appreciate the tan colour this way... there are really great parts included here. Slopes, slopes.... SLOPES! Putting them together.. So, when you build this set, it appears that you are building it sideways. Then, as I complete sections of the build, indeed, I am building sideways. You can see how the SNOT techniques are used to squeeze the centre piece in between the left and right side of the vignette. And as you put the sub-assemblies together, they fit nicely together. And so, it looks like this at the end -- So from this view, let me try discerning who is who. From left to right. The single piece brown studs are obviously the Jawas, so... white stud on top and dark tan bottom - Luke. two-layer gold studs - C-3PO (obviously) silver stud - R2-D2 tan top and dark brown bottom - Lars Then, at the centre of the build you'll see a medium azure stud on top of a dark orange stud. Guess who is it... That is aunt Beru! Aunt Beru appeared in this microbuild set... but only as 2 studs.... Next to them is the cute build of Sandcrawler which is very "playable" on its own because it sports 4 black roller skates as continuous track wheels. Apart from the skates, one of the notable part usage in this microscale is the use of white lipstick as one of the towering moisture vapourators. Also, not forgetting that this set includes a 2x4 black tile with "Star Wars 2021" printed on it. This side is the not so camera-friendly side of the build. Here is another angle to appreciate the smoothness of this build. Now for the extra pieces, this is what you are left with after completing the entire build... and it's pretty generous for the amount of small pieces here. Conclusion Pros: Very iconic scene preserved in a vignette display set. Tan parts! Printed 2x4 tile "Star Wars 2021" Cons: Generally not for sale, unless you get this "ala carte" somewhere else. Aunt Beru only appeared as 2 studs! So as I ponder on who this set is for, it is hard not to think who this set is NOT for. You see, this is the first scene where Luke, C-3PO and R2-D2 actually bumped into each other, and they stuck to each other for a really long time. Not only it is an iconic scene, it is also very nostalgic. So, for what it is -- every Star Wars fan should be able to appreciate this in one way or another. I can't think of anything negative for this set except the silly reasons I have written as "cons". But then again, we do not have Aunt Beru minifigure yet, so we may have to wait for quite sometime before we finally get a system scale Lars homestead with those "missing minifigures". For now, enjoy this microbuild. Review summary Playability: 5/10 - This little vignette isn't meant to be played but the Sandcrawler is so cute to play with! Design / Building Experience: 7/10 - Very satisfactory build for what it is supposed to be. Slopes are everywhere and it's tan so it's insta-like for me. Price / Value for money: 10/10 - If you get this as a gift with purchase, this is naturally a perfect 10. Overall: 7/10 - It is a cute small vignette that all Star Wars fans should be able to appreciate.
