[MOC] NASCAR Hauler

It's been a while, but the year finished before I got time to post, so here it is! This a NASCAR hauler for the NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro. (or two) This thing is super heavy. It has one motor for the ramp and one motor for the landing gear. It feature an office/lounge, cabinets, and work benches. We are going to ignore the miss match colors inside, had no budget to match. Hello Over the past couple of months I have been enjoying building 42054 - what a great little set. Once I'd finished it, I wet about MODing the appearance somewhat, and have ended up with two different set-ups. Descriptions and photos below (hopefully the pics aren't too big, but apologies in advance to the mods if I've messed it up yet again...) Configuration 1 - 8-wheels with stock silage plough & cosmetic modifications Apart from the obvious addition of four extra wheels, I also modified the bodywork as follows: - Altered wheel hubs (apologies, I can't remember who did this white/red mod to the Claas wheels originally, think there's videos on Youtube but if that person is a member EB then thanks to you.) - More rounded fenders/mudguards, both front and back. - Exhaust with chrome parts and decals. - Windscreen wiper to deal with any flying 'muck' - see Configuration 2 below... - Chrome filler cap. - Additional spotlights at the front. - Slight change to roof detail including aerial/additional red hazard lights to rear. - Improved step ladder. - Additional warning decals at front. So, nothing very revolutionary or technically interesting, but I enjoyed making the changes and personally I think the mudguards look better than the stock versions. I did build the crane first but didn't like how bulky it was compared to the tractor, so I ended up with the stock 'B model' () silage plough. I took it outside for some photos: Configuration 2 - 4-wheels with slurry tank trailer & cosmetic modifications I then removed the plough and the extra wheels, and set about creating my first-ever MOC. I was inspired, first generally by the amazing work on 42054 of @BrickbyBrickTechnic, and secondly by one of these - single-axle slurry tank trailers: My tank includes: - Dual slurry pipes and sprayers, for the sprayin' of that muck. - Third wheel for stabilisation when disconnected from tractor (can be released by partly pulling out the axle with stop & red bush). - Custom decals. - Fake on/off switch for slurry pump. - Full set of hazard notices and warning lights, plus chains on the hitch. - Black cover can be easily slid back by removing a couple of securing axles. For when it's time to blast-clean the old muck, before re-filling with fresh muck. I absolutely acknowledge that my MOC is only an approximation of the above, rather than a replica (in particular, using the available spare pieces at my disposal, I wasn't able to recreate the cylindrical shape of the tank). It also doesn't use particularly great building techniques and hasn't got decent functions. However my aim was to create something for my Claas to tow that looked quite nice, and also to complete my first ever actual proper MOC (one previous failed attempt notwithstanding). By these criteria, I achieved something of which I'm happy. I'd love to hear your opinions, but I realise that it isn't up to much, so no worries if you don't have an opinion on any of this, one way or the other.... Hey everyone, not a huge city builder, but thought I'd share a few small MOCs I gone and done: - minifig playable vintage Mini Cooper - old model Actros with long heavy haul trailer - good ol' backhoe I wanted a playable mini for my family minifigs, although in my quest for playability, fitting two minifigs in parallel and aesthetics, I made it a bit big, I will try out a 4 wide minifig version soon front rear front engine interior and functions I'm mainly a castle and space builder, but something needs to deliver all those castle wall stones and spacefaring engines! I tried ot make the front in the older Actros style, with engine playability and sleepability on the interior front interior with bed engine trailer hauling the Medieval Market Village And finally a simple backhoe to terraform the ground for the castle buildings and spaceports, for some reason I feel like the official Lego backhoes never get it quite right... front rear in action

I'm not really a regular truck builder, but I like to think of new systems that do not exist in real life yet but that do improve the life of, for example, truck drivers. When something like a big tarmac machine has to drive onto a trailer to go to the next building site, the slope of the trailer should be very small. That small slope is nowadays achieved by making very large ramps that fold up vertically for transport, causing massive air resistance and therefore unnecessary fuel consumption. A way to make these ramps shorter is to decrease the bed height, because that asks for smaller vertical ramps. The second option is making the wheels below the bed smaller. But decreasing the wheel diameter increases the rolling resistance. Another way to solve the problem is placing the bed betweeen the wheels, so that it can be much lower, but that limits the cargo width: the tarmac machine can never be wider than the bed width, which is not handy if truckdriver x has to transport many different tarmac machines. I have also been collecting parts for the trailer pictured above. To my knowledge, and according to my source of the instructions, nobody has ever built this trailer before. In this thread I will share my progress on building them both. After waiting over a month for my 5571 to arrive from Germany to the US, it finally came yesterday: I found the instructions for the trailer here: http://www.eurobrick...1 Unfortunately the post is several years old, but I messaged the original poster and I was lucky enough for him to respond with the instructions! The trailer is going to be huge, and requires 1628 parts, with 122 unique parts/colors. The instructions I was sent were actually a series of images, and I had to try and find all the correct part numbers on rebrickable before placing my orders. This was a long task and it took quite some time: After much time manipulating different inventories from sellers on bricklink, I placed all my orders and parts have started to arrive! The 1x2 tiles with the grille pattern seem to be pretty rare. They only came in one set many years ago, and I got very lucky finding sellers with enough of them when I placed my orders. I think I am now the only person with 18 of them. I am waiting on 3 more orders before I get started on the build. I will keep this post updated -
Has anyone done a trailer for the Arocs yet? I've seen one or two, but they're just a copy of the back half of the arocs itself. I want to know if anyone has done a box trailer or lowboy, especially considering it has an obvious trailer hitch built in. -

Ever wondered what a large scale caravan would look like? Here, I've made one that has pretty awesome features! Here's the interior! First, there's the kitchen with a cupboard, drawers, microwave oven, 2-burner cooktop and a radio! 2-person bed with quilt! I still need to know how I could make a fridge/freezer that can store a lot of food! Luxurious Dining Suite with 2 upholstered chairs, coffee mugs & fruit bowl! Folding Entry Steps! The drawbar. Here, there's 2 gas bottles, jockey wheel, safety chains and even a security lock on the coupler! The sunshade on the kitchen window can be closed for travel! The shutters on the front & back can be opened & closed too! The entry door can also be opened! Waste Water Pipe Interchangeable Number Plates, depending on which Australian state you live in! (I live in South Australia!) Stabilizer Jacks Those new 'Flat Tile 1x1 Half Circle' (Part #24246) pieces make nice trailer lights! Number Plate Light Here's the food! Additional Features: Two Spare Wheels Removable Roof Opening Side Windows Outside Light Now if only there was going to be a car that could go perfectly with the caravan... Bit more progress, finally time to smooth out the details). Still rough, waiting for parts. New here, and hoping I understood correctly to post new projects here. (Images on Bricksafe). About 3/4 done a 66 by 25 stud tandem flat deck for the "newish" Defender (also modded, black on green colour scheme, with eBay decal sheet, lifted, solid hitch, bumper tow bar attachment points, and a few others). Has 4 wheel independent suspension, with about (2.5 to 3 studs changed), of travel at each wheel with springs, a fold down ramp using one short linier ram, and a fold up dolly wheel at the front. Still lots of little things to finish, any advice on scaling, or tricks of any kind are very much welcome. Edit: now 4 to 5 studs of travel. Trying to use as many olive green panels, and black beams I can, but still waiting on a few more parts, so it's a bit of a VW Harley Quinn. I'm hoping my image works, but haven't much lunch getting the format small enough to post. If this isn't the right place to do this, please let me know, but I'm sure I don't need to ask that. Happy to be here and thoughts and feed back would he fantastic. (Still trying for an image, think this should work)

Hi! Here is small preview of my first serious Technic MOC. More info will come if this is good enough content for here. Here it is: Goal here was just to mod set 42043 B-model, but things got out of hand as always, you test ideas and then suddenly there is something to show for. Truck pulling this is my mod of 42043 B-model, drive by 2x PF XL motors geared 1:1 in drivetrain, then reduced by the new diffrentials, 1st axle is locked, 2nd axle with differential. Steering mechanish is modded from 'Ppung daddy' YT video. Trailer functions: - 3 axles with suspension, soft springs (might need to replace 1st axle with hard springs) - RC loading ramp, L-motor - RC leg support, L-motor - manual motorized winch, M-motor - rear PF lights, black tape is used to cover the extra shine Heres also a mod of Madoca1977's work: source=https://imgur.com/a/Sbmy1WX[/img]

Today I was able to post my latest build (due to personal matters). The Generic Mower 2000! I wanted, again, to make something non-branded, so a riding mower it was. Not much about the build really; It has a two cylinder water cooled diesel. Four wheels. Pivoting front axle. The mower deck can be turned on and off. The seat flips up. The trailer has a removable back. The trailer can dump too. I for some reason was having trouble with the deck because how I modeled it, I did not have the clearance or parts to make the deck raise and lower. Taking care of the flowers and grass. Just a little flex. 15 horsepower of ultimate power! Ready for work. The remaining pictures are located here! and video is here!

I was 8 years old when I got my first Lego Classic Space set LL918. I remember I spent hours with catalogs looking at LL924 and the Galaxy Explorer LL928. When I got LL928 from my grandma I was thrilled and couldn't let go. I even took it with me on holidays. At the time, due to my father's job, I was living in an a developing country in Africa, where Legos were very rare. I was gazing at the store window, nearly paralyzed and probably with a wide open mouth. I had just past my birthday and for Christmas time I would have to wait a long time. As quickly as I could I ran back home broke that piggy bank into pieces, took everything I had and ran back to the store. I still remember the feelings I had when building this spaceship and looking at every new part as if it were yesterday. A few years ago I remember seeing Wolf Leews modernized version of LL928 (and 924 and 918) in LegoIdeas and having exactly the same feelings. I tried to push it in LegoIdeas but unfortunately it did not make it to the threshold. Wolf Leews, if you see this post, thanks for sharing the instructions. I have your models in my showcase ever since. The idea of an own classic space model did not let go of me. It took me again years of thinking how to approach this topic. My problem was I wanted everything. I wanted to have a command centre, several spaceships, some robots some cool versatile and functional vehicles, a garage where the vehicles would go for repair, a habitat, a repair bay for the robots. And I wanted the antagonists as well: Blacktrons! And I wanted everybody to build up his own space station. Uff! Galaxy Explorer Commander Dropship I knew this was impossible. Then my Lego Pueblo came to mind. It was a 4in1 set proposal at LegoIdeas that you could buy multiple times and stack to each other building up your own Pueblo village. My Lego Pueblo did not make it to the threshold but if I did such a concept once, maybe I could do it again. Many months of thinking and planning what to do, which bricks to use, color scheme, how to combine classic space with Blacktron, drawing and doing research followed. Then I started building. The target was a 3in1 space creator set with three different scenarios that you could combine forming a big space centre. Each scenario should have its own theme and its own playability concept. At the same time some models of one scenario should connect to models of other scenarios, so at the end you have one big unity. I also needed a story. As I love sci-fi and astronomy this part was the easiest one for me. What came out was space station "Antares", a 3in1 space creator set, where New Classic Space searches for Legonit ressources and Blacktrons trying to steal it from them. One alternate build is the Mining Outpost, the other one is the Bot Repair Bay and one is the Galaxy Dropship. 9 Antares Classic Space3x by Giorgio Chronas, auf Flickr With the Galaxy Dropship I combined the features of the Galaxy Explorer and the Galaxy Commander and built a mashup that had its own look. Like the Galaxy Commander the dropship can be split into a space fighter and the cargo bay. Like the Commander it may hold a space lab. But it also may hold a space buggy like the Galaxy Explorer. Since the space buggy is from scenario Mining Outpost, I decided it may also hold the truck from its own scenario. Then I continued. The Galaxy Dropship may hold the trailer the fuel or plasma tanks or even a small space fighter which actually is the cockpit of the robot of scenario Bot Repair Bay. The set seems to be huge, too big, but actually it is only big when the set is acquired multiple times. As a single set it has less bricks than the biggest official LegoIdeas set. What started out as what to do with 2 chrome fuel tanks has morphed into a monster. Also wanted to design and build a cabover truck so this is what I ended up with. Already have 75% of cab and trailer parts at home. Will get the rest plus forklift parts from Bricklink. Forklift can slide fork hoist back and forward as per prototype. Turning the air cleaner also steers the back wheel.

It's time to show something agricultural. This time it will be a rather unusual JCB Fastrac 3185 tractor and an Oehler ZDK 180 trailer. The tractor model has been on my shelf for almost two years, so it's time to show it. For comparison, a photo of the original: JCB Fastrac 3185 I must admit that the Fastrac series are some of my favorite tractors. I remember being fascinated by them in agricultural newspapers as a child. What impressed me the most was the fact that they could accelerate up to 80 km/h. These tractors are loved or hated mainly because of their appearance. The 3185 is definitely my favorite. I started building it when it was already known that agricultural tires with a diameter of 81 mm would appear with the 42129 set. The frame was built quite quickly and is significantly different from my previous tractors. I removed the front three point hitch and added a front pendular suspension. The tractor is powered by an L-motor, turns using a servo-motor, and the lift and PTO operate two M-motors. Everything controlled by Sbrick. Then I started building the cabin, which has a rather specific shape. I managed to reproduce it quite well and I am fully satisfied with it. The cabin, of course, has an equipped interior with two seats. The biggest problem I had was with the design of the tractor's hood. It has a specific arch at the front with gille and thin frames on the sides. First, I made it with a sticker, but during one of the exhibitions I came up with the idea to use rounded 1x2 plates. It was a good decision. From the beginning, I didn't plan on making a building manual for it due to the complicated shape of the cabin. I finally changed my mind. This required further corrections, but they were implemented quite efficiently. My reluctance to follow the instructions was also caused by the printed fenders that @SaperPL made for me. Not wanting to cause problems for people who would buy the instructions, I built equivalents from Lego, which increased the number of elements by 130 bricks. The final effect, especially after using the stickers, is great and I must admit that it's probably my favorite tractor now :D OEHLER ZDK 180 Such a long delay in the publication of Fastrac was also caused by the lack of a machine to complete the set. I wanted to build a construction trailer, but I decided that it would be quite similar to my previous Krampe BigBody 550. I did not have traditional trailers in my collection. I kept thinking about an unusual color that would contrast nicely with the yellow tractor. I chose OEHLER ZDK 180. I decided to build the box with 23405 panels, which imitate the sides of the dump box well. Surprisingly, the dimensions of these elements matched the dimensions of the model quite well. The dump box had to be reinforced, of course, otherwise the load would burst it from the inside. I used additional strips so that it is now very stable. The visual effect well reflects the appearance of a real trailer. The dark turquise color is slightly different from the one used in Oehler trailers, and in the photos it looks much bluer than in reality. The dump box also has a side locking mechanism that works like in a real machine. The difference is double-side tipping.The real trailer box tilts in three directions. At the beginning of the construction process it also tilted backwards, but the use of a medium linear actuator made the whole thing very unstable. Finally, the box is lifted by two small linear actuators powered by the M-motor. The maximum load I tested was 4.5 kg. I must admit that this is quite an impressive result. Another interesting fact is that I used 67.8x27 tires, which are a bit larger than they should be, but because they are wider than the 62.4 mm tires, they significantly improve the overall appearance of the model. Hi folks, something new - hm, no, historical ;) I made a histrical logging trailer, those were/are used here in southern germany. They are quite simple, but effective :) Oh, and here a small video which shows how the logs are loaded... Have fun... -
Hi folks, some days ago I finished a new MOC. It's a forestry wagon, those are/were often used by lumbermen here in southern Germany. The lumbermen took their breaks in... I've got to say, this truck has curves never seen before in Technic Lego truck. For my first brickfilm I decided to do a shot-for-shot recreation of the trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, coming out this September. It's not the best video I've done, but I'm hoping to make higher-quality brickfilms in the future as I continue to practice animating. Any comments or criticism would be greatly appreciated.
