Hello everyone and Happy New Year to all!! The most recent post I made about my winter was in 2019 and during this period I have always continued to update it. Since then, the situation has gotten a bit out of hand and the size of the village has practically doubled with lights, sounds and motorized parts. Hi! After a few weeks I finished building the second part of my bigger Minecraft project This time it's: The Plains Village Together with The Lush Cave both MOCs create one big piece of terrain! There are about 12k parts, 75cm high and about 11kg of weight (be careful not to drop it on your leg) You can see the whole construction process in the video below. How do you like it?

Thulgard by David de Rijke, on Flickr Few of the ships of the once so mighty Mitgardian expedition survived their voyage, but the brave survivors joined up and found land! On the vast continent of Vela, yet unknown to Historica, they founded their new home, Thulgard. As the wood of the ships was used for pallissades and watch towers, the crews went out to forage and build some structures to survive the incoming winter. They did not go unnoticed, however... Their new settlement of Thulgard seemed to be placed in the domain of the Empire, and some imperial officers already stood at the gates to reclaim it, diplomatically. Not a single change however that Mitgardian captain Amkyr will let that happen! Thulgard lays in the Westerlands, the -obviously- western region of the Empire, ruled by the house of Glainthes, who have their seat near Bunnock's Barn, half a day's march away. Bunnock manor by David de Rijke, on Flickr Thulgard might be my most detailed build at this scale. At least it has the best rockwork I have ever produced :p The mountain had been under construction for, like, a year, so I am kind of glad that I am done, for now I sorted out my lego, I can't wait to build much and much more! Alas I kind of forgot I am studying abroad now for some weeks, so I had to hurry with the photography before I left. I might wanna make better pictures when I am back!

My 5th entry for the Colossal Castle Contest, into the Village Life category. Credit for the pine tree design goes to Chris Maddison, who recently shared his design in a tutorial here. The build fits on a 48×48 baseplate, and three of the buildings have interiors (pull out rooms). Daydelon has plenty of excellent shops to meet your various needs. Brianna’s Bakery, Tryggr’s Supplies, and the Toy Shop are all located on the first stretch of the main street. Even in the winter the city keeps bustling, with the frozen river providing a great place for children to skate and the snow covered streets still see plenty of traffic from dog sleds and others. Hi, I would like to share my winter village. It's my first experience in this size and I hope I didn't mess too much. It's not comparable to most of the works here because it's way simpler I think, but I enjoyed doing it and hope you enjoy seeing it. It's a 5x3 32*32 baseplate layout plus the north pole. We have a family tradition of creating a Lego Christmas Village with our family. This year we took it to the next level with hundreds of lights from Brickstuff and thousands and thousands of bricks. The only official set we used is the train from the 2016 Holiday Train set to which we added a battery pack, lights and the remote control upgrade. This is my first Moc after coming out of the Dark Age. I have always loved winter and Christmas and I am very happy to have spent two years building this village; unfortunately the time available is always little and I can put some bricks only a couple of times a month. This Elven Village for the LEGO Elves was designed months before I watched the Netflix's Elves series, therefore the cottages don't resemble the real Elvendale. What I had in mind was a MOC to use all the amazing (and bright) colors which were introduced in the Elves and Friends themes. I reused the background from my previous Elves MOC, the Dragon Mountain, but added more detail to the rocks. The land was extended to 96 x 96 studs. I enjoyed building the landscape as there was no limit in making it realistic. This Elven Village was displayed at 19th Kocke Fest (Slovenian LUG exhibition) in October 2017. This is what the village from air looks like - a bridsdragon eye. I added more rocks to the mountain (I actually ran out of slopes when building the Dragon Mountain). This MOC came to life mostly because of the bright colored cottages, and from this perspective it looks very colorful. I planned more buildings in other colours as well, but it felt crowded as it is. The first house I built was the pink one. As I wanted colorful houses with different floor plan, I decided to use rocks as the focal point of the ''Elven architecture'' as fireplace. This way, the houses have at least one similarity. The landscaping was my favourite part. TLG released many interesting parts which could be used as plants or plant parts, and I tried to use them to create a more vibrant and exotic flora. Also, the flowers' colors follow the aura of the cottage's resident. Around the bright light yellow house I used all the different flower molds I had at home, from the classic flower to 1x1 round plates and special ''Friends'' flowers. I only wish TLG would make those in other colors, too. Another challenge was to use some of the odd parts in my collection. For example, I built the bright light yellow cottage on a modified brick 8x16, I used the dark azure eggs, reddish brown horns. I've been sorting my collection intensively in the last months, and I was able to see just how many odd parts I have that were never used in a MOC. So here's another reason why sorting can be helpful. As always, more (and larger) pictures can be found on my Flickr.

For many years the forces of Arbenheim have tested their neighboring kings power by pillaging border villages. In an attempt protect his people the king ordered small encampments around the borders. One location was the homestead of Maerwynn, an important location as it was host to one of the few mills in the area. The kings intuition had been right, for only a fortnight later did the horns of Arbenheim sound in the village of Maerwynn. A collaboration between SirWilsonBricks( https://www.flickr.com/photos/133117612@N02/ ) and myself for the CBS 2017. His is the left, my side is on the right. Hay, after me finally finishing editing (which is a bit sloppy in places) here it is :D This was our main build for the show and it is the biggest build to date for both of us. It was great fun planning, skyping, planning, bricklinking, more planning and finally building this whoppa. If I could change a couple things I probably would (namely the ground texturing on my side) but it still came out looking incredible. The reception we got at the CBS was also great, with loads of people loving. I must say though, I may have stared a kid to death after he said "Hey mum, look NEXO KNIGHTS" Speaking of the CBS, it was a real blast and getting to know people better, meeting new people was awesome :) and of course seeing new creations (cough David Hense... Cough) Cannot wait to next year to see everyone again. Another creation on the way and hope you enjoy, C&C always wanted.

Here is my new MOC. After doing for 5 years with the winter season I wanted something summer! On the first day of Spring, however, this moc came to my mind. I imagined drinking a good coffee sitting at the coffee table at a seaside bar. So I decided to design this moc very different from my usual themes but just as fun to build. The moc is built on four 32x32 bases. As an inspiration I chose the Riviera Ligure where I occasionally make a turn, but all that was invented without relying on real scenes. The four colorful buildings you see in the background are (starting from the left): a bar, a souvenir shop, a grocery store, a florist. At first I wanted to do only the part of the facade and then I decided to make simple interior embellishments (as always) from the back. The cobblestone part is a classic walk through the seaside villages with benches, lanterns, flower beds ... The beach is still not crowded because I imagined a pre-summer period in which there are still few people around. The entire moc was built in 3 months (in time scraps) employing about 5,500 pieces. It's Christmas Time...Santa's Cottage (on LEGO IDEAS too) It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas and as usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation. This cozy shelter is the home of Santa Claus, who is preparing his world tour for delivering gifts. It's called Santa's Cottage and you can support it on LEGO IDEAS too. The main feature is probably the asymmetrical roof with a very sloping shape to the left. The woodshed is located under the excess roof. The red/white/black color combo is simple but effective, and the snowy trees in the background match well. Last but not least the door and windows are round, a shape rarely spotted on a cottage, but quite common in Hobbit houses. Santa, who is coming home from a relaxing walk, has also a nice off-road vehicle painted with a color scheme matching with the cottage. You can spot it on the right. You could smell it before you could see it. That salty, damp, stench of rancid meat, exposed in the open sea. Fish. As far as the eye could see. Fish hanging from balconies. Fish hanging rom hooks. Fish rotting in boxes and nets. Fish guts, fish fins, fish oil. And everything smelled the same. Fish. Smugglers, wanderers, fugitives, fishermen, sailors, and outlaws, they all came to Skaldar Port looking for an opportunity to star over. And for some reason, dealing fish seemed like a good start. For me, something else was at stake. I wasn’t looking for a new start. I was looking for a man that has been hiding in the shadows for way too long. The sack of coins tinkled as I walked the narrow streets of Skaldar. Glancing at signs and banners, I tried averting those eyes filled with temptation that arise in the depths of misery, and searched for the place where the dealer said he would be. The Smelly Inn. Sounded just right. I had the coin and now a target on my back. I could only hope Res would have the information I craved from the moment I left home. The air smells of rosemary bread. I can hear the bells ringing with the stroll of a cow. Feels like home. And I cannot wait to go inside. Someone is expecting me. Someone I have missed for so, so long. I open the door. There is a woman by the heath, curled in a wool blanket. Next to her, a furry thing coiled like a pretzel. “Is it a chicken?” “No! It’s a dog!” “Aw. Who is she?” “The most beautiful woman I have ever seen.” Her big brown eyes glistened, reflecting the world painted gold. Staring at me, I saw beyond every mountain and every sea. (Afoland Castle Game. Meronia) King Edric called a runner and gave him an assignment - to go to Kvynn, find Gerard there and give him a letter. The messenger soon reached Kvynn and began asking where he could find Gerard. Naturally, every local knew where Gerard lived, but they could not deny themselves the pleasure of chasing the messenger through the village. Running from house to house, he still managed to find the right one and convey the message.

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas time. From my part it was one of the great ones. When my wife came to me by the end of November with the city advent calendar (60099) as a pre holydays surprise gift I was very happy and saw in it the opportunity to involve my 3 years daughter to her first Lego experience (small Lego of course). So we did every day's build together and by the end I was impressed how good she became at building. she did understand the vocabulary and building steps. In the end it was a very fun experience for both of us. What she did not know is that in the meantime she was doing all her daily builds I was building a winter village in which she would play the 24 December. I've put a lot of details and some fun to play features. She liked it and we had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of the village. Thanks everyone!
