I also like how the dark tan and the water gives it a chilly, early beach morning feel, and how the little details like the rocks and the runestone work well to add to its realism. Yeah the hammer design is mine, and it looks great with those big round shields! Thanks LD. For the compliments and the hammer design! On 9/12/2014 at 11:18 PM, mrcp6d said: Sweet! The figs look nice & well posed. I love that water technique--I've used it a couple times myself. For me the piles of 1x1 rounds is just lazy. You know you've actually built something when you 1.) have to stick each one of those buggers ON the build and 2.) have to take each one of those buggers OFF the build! That missing corner kind of bugs me though. I agree about the water but not the corner. :P I built it like this to give it a kind of broken, rippled feel. Looking at it again, I could have taken that further and kept the rest of the base from being so square, which probably would have made the irregular part stick out less. Duly noted for next time! You did a awesome job on it, better than i ever could. Also i like the team blue/red thing going on. It's barracks allright, and you gave that a nice original twist. Thanks Jorrith! I think that the water is just about patience and having an eye for where to use the two shades of blue. It's not a complicated technique, just a time consuming one! September 15, 201410 yr Definitely an effective water technique The fig posing is superb, and I like the idea of shield wall training. Which side won?
