Sariel Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I just made a long-due update of this: scaler.sariel.pl Important: please refresh the page if you've been there before. Change log: - the scaler tool is now stretched to the full width of your screen, including the image area.Screen resolutions 1600px wide and larger are recommended. - the image area is now 3000px tall and does not scroll if the blueprint is larger - you can draw on 100% of the image area now - fonts and some other elements enlarged for clarity - some text reworded, some elements moved for clarity - default unit accuracy is now 0.1, but you can still go down to 1.0 - maximum unit accuracy increased to 0.0000001 - maximum known dimension value increased to 999999 studs - color buttons enlarged; violet color removed; dark green and dark blue colors added - dark colors now have yellow label under numbers instead of a black one - added "print" button - added link for ScreenGrab Firefox plugin I hope the tool serves you better now. Please post info here if you encounter any bugs. Don't forget other tools: wheels.sariel.pl studs.sariel.pl gears.sariel.pl and more at my website. Quote
captainmib Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Great, will test it this weekend. I was having trouble with one blueprint. Just could'nt reproduce the drawing i made before. Setting the same scale and proportions it just gave me very big numbers or infinite. Nice tools anyway. Quote
rm8 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Thanks, Old was useful, new will be more useful;) We will test it! Quote
garethjellis Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Great work ! I was wondering why the Power Functions L motor was not in your other tool http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Power-Functions-L-Motor-88003 Quote
le60head Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Thank you for your hard work! I recently discovered your model scaler tool, but i am now even more eager to use it for my next projects:) Quote
Tommy Styrvoky Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 This looks interesting, I will have to try using this latter today on a T-35 tank. Quote
rm8 Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Sariel, Only thing I want you to change is when you measuring only one dimension, second is always "0". If possible - dont show zero when only one dimension. Quote
RohanBeckett Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 An idea: often when building Moc's.. (particularly cars) we start with a known Lego object: eg: certain wheel. What would be great, would be to be able to simply draw a circle around a wheel on the blueprint, and then say 'make this 86652c01' It could then scale everything else, automatically, with no guessing. Wheels are a common thing to have (and your wheels.sariel.pl database already has them all in there!), but other common components could be useful (panels, etc) RB Quote

To be able to draw a circle and select a type of wheel it should be. Personally I don't really need to be able to draw other types of parts such as panels, but being able to choose a wheel would make this tool 100x better Quote
