ZCerberus Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Great work on the landscaping technique for sure! Quote
MassEditor Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Yeah, I checked with the Nocty folks to see if they were cool with it. I had an idea that just fit better with Nocturnus than with Mitgardia. Sometimes it's better to do a freebuild than to drop an idea or compromise it by trying to force it where it doesn't belong! Plus, great builders like you are a premium in every guild so it's better for all of us if you're working on fleshing out whatever land you want to. Thanks man. I totally agree with your freebuild comment. I had pondered how I was going to do a redux of the refugee MOC and give it a Nocturnian angle. I thought the angle might end up too forced, though, so I went totally Mitgard on this, and just stuck in Nocturnus by name. One day, when I get a few tan pieces in my collection, maybe Anfauglir will be able to spend some time on the Kaliphlin beaches! Love the landscaping in this as well! Also nice base and figs! And above all, it's good to show that you don't always have to build Nocturnus things although it's your home guild! Thanks Ecc! I agree, but it's back to building in Nocty now! Great scene ME! I really like the ground colors and textures, to me they look very realistic for a mountain with scree and moss. It actually looks a lot like the landscape on some of the mountains that I've gone up/on (not all the way to the top mind you), so nice job on making it realistic! Thanks a lot Hammerhand, I'm really glad you thought so! Great work on the landscaping technique for sure! I appreciate it Z! Quote
SarahJoy Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 This is gorgeous. The rockwork, the texturing, the color choices, the elevation changes, the bridge, the waterfall, that base! It's all just stunning. Quote
Garmadon Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Excellent landscape, MassEditor, very nice bridge and waterfall, and that border is just the icing on the cake (or under the cake )! Quote
LordDan Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 This is great! I love your style of rockwork, and the overall landscaping is awesome! Also nice Mitgardian figs and cool waterfall/ bridge :) Quote
robuko Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Absolutely amazing. The colour use just blows my mind, it's like a Seurat painting. I literally have no idea how you can hold this many colours and shapes and textures in your mind when building. Any square centimetre is a mess and of colour and shape but the whole thing is a beautiful and consistent totality. It's a form of genius I think. Please do some Kaliphlin building! Quote
mrcp6d Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 The fig combos are fantastic and the landscaping is spot-on. I've gone up and down a couple mountains, and they had pretty much exactly this color scheme. If I were note one thing to change, it would be to omit the trans-blue in the water. Keeping it just clear and trans light blue would have kept the stream looking like a cold mountain stream. Quote
Blufiji Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Very Nice. The landscaping is wonderful. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Beautiful landscape The colorscheme works perfectly for Mitgardia and those are some sweet warrior figs too I also like how you included shields in the border Quote

I was wondering if the border was a little too much, so I'm glad you liked it! This is great! I love your style of rockwork, and the overall landscaping is awesome! Wow, thanks robuko! This indeed seemed like a giant mess until I laid the last brick. The fig combos are fantastic and the landscaping is spot-on. I think you're right about the river color, I'll keep that in mind for the future. Really beautiful ladscaping! I appreciate that Aland! Very Nice. The landscaping is wonderful. Thanks Blufiji! Beautiful landscape The colorscheme works perfectly for Mitgardia and those are some sweet warrior figs too I also like how you included shields in the border Coming from the Mitgardian Moccing Machine, I will take that as a top compliment!
