February 23, 201510 yr Author I really envy your MOC collection kandykop Hatred is taking over envy! Very nice trailer. Would love to see instructions and steering axles if possible. But it is so cool and everything is nicely tucked away behind the sideskirts. The steering system didn't work properly. There was too much backlash on the fifth wheel and the long axles, that transferred the steering movement from the fifth wheel to the steering rack, twisted before turning the wheels. If the tractor turn and the trailer's wheels remain in straight position, it's not really a problem. But if the truck is on a straight and the trailer's wheels are steered...well, it's funny but weird. That's why I recommended to Kandykop to build it without steering system.
February 23, 201510 yr Hi I've been looking at the instructions and can't find where part 2450 goes. Can someone give me the page # it's on?
February 27, 201510 yr EDIT: Found it. I just made the truck and whenever I try to drive it the gears click and the a few of the XL's disengage. Has anyone had that? Does anyone know how to fix it?
February 27, 201510 yr Use train remote controller which can control the speed of motors and increase speed gradually. There is no gear down for driving. If you just apply the 'full speed' of the XL-motor from a 'stand-still' position will result in too much stress on the whole drive train. In this case, XL motors disengage.
February 27, 201510 yr Make sure all the motors are turning in the right direction. Yes they all are. Do you want me to take a video? February 27, 201510 yr I had a similair problem using multiple IR receivers and it was caused because not every receiver got the signal from the remote
February 27, 201510 yr I had a similair problem using multiple IR receivers and it was caused because not every receiver got the signal from the remote What did you do to fix it? Edited February 27, 201510 yr by NXT45
February 28, 201510 yr Make sure that the remote is pointing to the receivers and the truck is not in bright sunlight.
February 28, 201510 yr Would changing the IR-receivers with two SBricks for drive make a difference? With two batteryboxes used to drive the four XL-motors, I ques that you would need two SBricks, one to connect to each box. Would they fit good in place off the IR receivers, or would it take much structural rebuilding?
March 1, 201510 yr Author What did you do to fix it? I have nothing to add to the proposed solutions, maybe try to lift the rear wheels and check what happen without load. March 20, 20159 yr Make sure that the remote is pointing to the receivers and the truck is not in bright sunlight. This is not the case, I am using the truck indoors far away from sunlight. I am trying to strengthen the motor/ wheels assembly. Do any of you have more tips? Any help would be appreciated! EDIT: I am rebuilding the rear axles. I may have done something wrong. If the problem persists I will upload a video. Edited March 21, 20159 yr by NXT45
March 21, 20159 yr Hi Lucio, Did you mean you can try, or that you can not try to replace the IR reeivers with S-bricks?
March 21, 20159 yr Hi Guys, I have fixed the truck! The problem was that there was to much friction on one of the axles. I noticed that after I rebuilt the axle that had the issue. Thank you so much for the support!!!
March 23, 20159 yr Author Hi Lucio, Did you mean you can try, or that you can not try to replace the IR reeivers with S-bricks? I can NOT why my truck is no more built. November 6, 20159 yr Author Seems that somebody (SilenWin ) wasn't happy with the performance of my truck and decided to pump it a bit! Check it out!
November 6, 20159 yr Nice job on the modifications! I like the way it looks with the black on bottom half.
November 7, 20159 yr Nice job on the modifications! I like the way it looks with the black on bottom half. Model was great already, but speeding it up... :-) Well done! Thank you very much for positive comments! It's really very inspiring to hear such comments from great builders
November 10, 20159 yr It's a really big truck. Hope that one day I'll also big this truck. Are the tyres from UNIMOG truck?
November 10, 20159 yr Those are Unimog tyres. You need 10 of them. Actually there are 11 of them. One is a spare which is behind the cab.
September 17, 20168 yr Thank you for posting video, Lucio! Here is some photos in addition: Hello!! Would have you other photos of the modification? Thank you very much
