Dafgek81 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Are there differentials on the back axles, or are the motors directly linked to the axles? Can't see on the picture. And PLEASE make instructions or get someone to do it. Would love to go bankruped to build this one, of course with the lowboy trailer. Quote

I don't have a lot of hope for instructions for the trailer, since he said somewhere he already disassembled the trailer for parts for another moc... And instructions... Would it be worth it? This thing costs a fortune to build with all the motors, pneumatics, wheels and panels... Of course, I do understand people want instructions, but would it be worth the hours, days of work if only 1 or 2 people actually build one.... Quote

Practically a XL motor is connected only to a wheel with two knob gear, this is for all four rear wheels, and them aren't interconnected. Note that, the second axle is a bit different because one of the two engines also moves the fake motor. Quote

May be we can do some crowdfunding? If 50 people each donate $20 it is very tempting for Lucio to make instructions or at least a digital model... I am in! (That makes two already ;) ) Quote

jantjeuh Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Not necessarily, building a large collection tempts to empty one's wallet rather quickly May be we can do some crowdfunding? (That makes two already ;) ) For 20 bucks I'd want quality instructions, not just a digital model Quote
afol1969 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Of course, I do understand people want instructions, but would it be worth the hours, days of work if only 1 or 2 people actually build one.... I agree your question, but I think, there are some technic freaks who want build it (me included, and maybe Blakbird too...) Instructions take lot of hours, days, weeks....If Lucio Switch wants to disassemble it soon, the best method will be photo instructions while disassembling the parts in steps, it doesn't need a CAD neither an LFX file. Quality instructions can be created later by another one who is enough freaky to do it Greetings Alex Quote
jantjeuh Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 So, are you volunteering yourself? Quote
afol1969 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 So, are you volunteering yourself? Perhaps....but not before 2015, first I'll finish my other instruction projects. And a donation will be welcome, I think I've to buy parts again to build the MOC. So a part list will be useful. Greetings Alex Quote
750ACE Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Now if only we could see this model sitting next to Sheepo's: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=75973&hl=peterbilt&st=0 Mind you, Sheepo's is extremely mechanical, they would still look great parked next to each other in my collection. Dafgek81 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Count me in for the instructions, but only if they are good quality. I would pay $ 20,- for it. It's fantastic and out of this world!!!! Quote
Lucio Switch Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 First of all, thank you all for the wonderful compliments!! I never expected that the truck was appreciated so much!! At 99% I will do the LDraw file, and most likely also the instructions! But I ask you to be patient ... it will be a long job!! I will let you know news as soon!! Quote

As I'm an instruction maker myself, I know which massive time it needs to make high quality instructions. Big projects with a lot of parts, especially with LSynth tracings and weird angles, that need weeks/months. It will be fine a cooperation, you make the LDRAW file, and someone other the stepping and so on. If you want, I offer myself to cooperate . Greetings Alex Quote
technicfan Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 This truck is awesome, I would be happy to pay for instructions aswell. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 When I have bought the instructions, I will try to build this truck, but due to my limited budget for Technic, it will take a while before I can. Would love to try it in white, would look awesome with those black rims. Or blue, red is a coulor I have a lot of sets in already. But even in red it is stunning. Quote

Greetings Alex Thank you so much for the offer, for now I do not need help, do the LDraw file and the division by step are a my personal challenge (i will grow up my skill) , for the instructions, I already had proposals for collaboration, but if should it serve I will consider you!! I want to build it in dark blue I also have many parts in red, especially panels (maybe too obvious? )... and I think that in white, with black rims and some particular in red will be awesome, or maybe in blue with some particular in yellow or orange (maybe a little exaggerated color combinations, but I would like to see how they appear). jantjeuh Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) Well, once you've got the LDraw model finished you can give Blakbird (the resident immortal omniscient omnipotent omnipresent LDraw/instructions/rendering guru) a call, he can make beautiful renders in various colours. vliet Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I'm hoping there will be instructions and don't mind I have to pay for them. Looking at the pictures, I don't think I have to buy a lot of parts to buld the truck. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Would that be the same colour as 41999??? Quote
