Hello guys !!

I have digitalized all the truck (ok, missing 6 PF cable, but they will be done  ).

The division step by step is done for a 85%, and I started the first 200 pages of the instructions.

The work will be long, but I wanted to keep you informed on the progress!!

Ahh 4600+ parts!!

Bye

Keep up the good work, have to find new funding for all the beautiful MOC's on this forum site.

This is the most massive and biggest tractor unit I have ever seen.

Will buy instructions and will build it, or go broke trying.

Hi Lucio, keep up your work

Making the PF wires with LSynth is a challenge, and until know I haven't the patience to do it. So I just make text notes, which connector does belong to where.

Greetings

Hello Lucio,

What rims did you use on the truck?

There are stickers on the rims, are they from a F1 car and rare, or are they like the 8110 Unimog tyres, but black and less difficult to find?

I might be wrong here but I think they are reversed unimog/crawler hubs in black.

I hope not to be wrong, the F1, Unimog and Crawler rims are the same, the F1 and the Crawler are in black.

I used 8 from two F1, four of them with original stickers (the 4 rear external)....they look so ...custom, and 3 are from the crawler.

another thing ... we just started the testing phase of the instructions ....

Hello Lucio,

Hope they turn out to be alright, can't wait to see them and buy them?

Are they ready by the end of january?

It is my birthday then and I can only buy for big amounts of money then.

Would love to have them.

hope so, also because I need the parts for a MOC that is in my head by a few months, and until I finish the instructions I don't want to take it apart. And I prefer build than doing instructions!

Lucio has finished his CAD file and I have taken the opportunity to make some renders. First I'll show what is going on inside the model. This first image shows the mechancial system with a drive system for each rear wheel independently, steering, engine, the crankshaft for the compressor, an autovalve, and the 12(!) shock absorbers for the front axle.

Next comes the electrical system with 3 battery boxes, 3 IR rececivers, 4 XL motors, 1 L motor, 1 M motor, 1 servo, 2 switches, and 2 sets of LED lights. He did an amazing job of modeling the wires.

640x480.jpg

I think the most impressive part is the pneumatic system which contains 6 large actuators (4 for suspension, 2 for cabin tilt), 2 compressor pumps, and 2 small actuators (1 for 5th wheel, 1 for pressure regulator). The time involved in synthesizing all those tubes in incomprehensible.

640x480.jpg

And finally let's put it all together to see what's going on inside this monster. (Bigger versions at Bricksafe.)

I think I am going to build this truck. I knew it was enormous, but it is hard to picture just how big it is so I decided to compare it to the 8041 race truck. Wow.

Dang it, have to beat Blakbird for once to building this beauty. Hurry up LEGO PAB and send me my red panels!

P.S.: gorgeous renders as usual, BB!

 Don't worry, I haven't even started ordering parts yet.

I love the model and can't think of much I don't like about it, but if I had one complaint it might be that it is a bit too red. It could really use a black stripe or something similar to help make it look more decorated. I haven't figured out a good way to put a strip on it though because of the position of the big panels. I'd hate to have to use stickers.....
