Blakbird Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Here is my copy, built only with the pictures I can't believe you did this with only pictures! That's amazing work. It is odd to see a picture of my table sitting on a screen on your table. Quote
Denny Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) Hello Denny, Very nice looking copy, I asume it is due to lack off parts that you have build it in four colours? But very hard to do from only pictures. Very nice touch with the LED's on the sides front and back. Did you only use one rechargable batterypack? And Lucio, maybe a nice touch those extra lights on the side, frontbumper and working tail-lights Yes, I didn't had enough parts in one color. Edited December 25, 2014 by Denny Quote
jantjeuh Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Damn Denny, that's seriously impressive. It's hard enough building this truck with instructions Quote
N-4K0 Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Very nice work, I especially like the dashboard and interior and the yellow "closet" hiding the switch and valves. Quote

Lucio Switch Posted December 26, 2014 Author Posted December 26, 2014 Hi Lucio, since you are doing the instructions for this any chance of getting instructions done for you racing truck?. Unfortunately no! But B Mollema has done a copy with different motors only by some picture that I have send to him. Maybe it's not easy, but if you want... Hello Lucio, I know this might be a stupid question, but even though you have already dismanteled the trailer, is there still a chance on instructions for the trailer? I know there is a team of amazing building experts working on the instructions of the truck? Some of them build models from only pictures on the web. Unfortunately no! I have only few pictures of the trailer and only in the early stages. Here is my copy, built only with the pictures I'm impressed, you deserve my admiration!! I love the amount of Led...unfortunately i have only 2 of them! Quote
DrJB Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 ... It is odd to see a picture of my table sitting on a screen on your table. ... Especially that both your/his tables are solid wood. Threw me off at first, as in: why would BlakBird be building from his own pictures? ... but then realized the wood grain was 'different'. Quote
Lundgren Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I'm so curious about the instructions! I've gotten my self one 8258 one 8110 and one 42029 for this! I'm very anxious to build it! :) Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Are these sets that contain a lot of the parts? Quote
Blakbird Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Are these sets that contain a lot of the parts? For this model, no set has a large percentage of the massive number of parts. A couple of copies of 42029 would be a good start for all the red panels and suspension parts. Quote
Lucio Switch Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) I'm so curious about the instructions! I've gotten my self one 8258 one 8110 and one 42029 for this! I'm very anxious to build it! :) Are these sets that contain a lot of the parts? For what I remember, at the time, the main models that I used were 2 x 8070, 2x 8110, 2x 42000, a 8258 and a 9398, and probably some other parts from other sets. In addition I bought the XL Motors, Unimog tyres, some red panels and, more or less, 3,5m of pneumatic tubes. I agree with Blackbird, 2x 42029 could be a good start. At that time, I paid the same price of a 42029 only for some red 5x11 panels. Good News, Jantjeuh is almost at the end of the instructions test, I have to do some changes and some pics for be more clear, but we are even closer to the end. jantjeuh Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Yeah it's taking a while, but then again, the model is so bloody big Working on the final steps for the cab now. Quote
Lucio Switch Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Those sets alone are good for almost 12.000 parts! Any idea of the final partcount already? Well, them are donors, I didn't use all the parts, but these sets are very useful for some parts, like red panels and beams, suspensions elements, motors...the truck is almost 4600 parts. Quote
jantjeuh Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 And it's heavy. Don't even think about cheaping out on the hard yellow springs! Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Wow it doesn't even fit on the table! May I ask, how much bigger is the tractor truck than lets say the unimog u400 or the Volvo l350f Quote
Dafgek81 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) Look at the renders Blackbird placed on november 20th, can't get it copied to here. Edited January 1, 2015 by Dafgek81 Quote

Lundgren Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 It's sooooo cool! I'm really longing for the instructions! How long is it in centimeters? Quote
DrJB Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) It appears the tires are 'small' for the truck. I know these are the largest Lego makes (unimog), but nonetheless. Are the tires to scale relative to some European truck (Scania, MAN, or else) ? Edited January 1, 2015 by DrJB Quote
