afol1969 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 What a beast! I see I've still to buy lots of red parts to build it. Or I'd better to build it in yellow.... Greetings Alex Quote

Dafgek81 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Yes, they are the right size, European trucks don't have the large tyres they have in America Quote
Lucio Switch Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Done at last I'm really happy to see it!! Thanks for all the hard work!!! What's the measurements of the truck? It looks huge! Height: 36 cm (40,8 cm with aerials) Width: 24,8 cm (29,6 with mirrors) Length: 56,8 cm Weight: 5.9 Kg Quote
andythenorth Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) European trucks don't have the large tyres they have in America On-highway trucks in North America, Europe, Australia, South America, Africa etc all use similar size tyres. Edited January 3, 2015 by andythenorth Quote
Lucio Switch Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 On-highway trucks in North America, Europe, Australia, South America, Africa etc all use similar size tyres. I'm deeply ignorant about extra EU tyre size ...the Unimog wheels are a bit to small but a bit to wide (we talking about a couple of decimal points). So It's a compromise, especially for the rear axle. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I do not think the are small, the look just about right to me. And some transport companies use wider tyres on all axles. i've driven with a truck with 315mm wide tyres on the rear axle. Quote
DickesC Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Hi Are there any detailed pictures of the back axles? Thanks Quote
Blakbird Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Wow it doesn't even fit on the table! May I ask, how much bigger is the tractor truck than lets say the unimog u400 or the Volvo l350f Looks like this: Quote
Lucio Switch Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Looks like this: or like this: iBrick Winter Edition 2014 by Lucio Switch, on Flickr Quote

Theo van Vroenhoven Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) "You have 99,2 % of the required parts" Two clicks on the PayPal buttons and the fun can start! TIP: Buy a cheap 8943 to get all those rounded panels And 2 copies of 42029 is a good start as well. This model has over a 1000 thick liftarms! Edited January 24, 2015 by Theo van Vroenhoven Quote
