-obelix- Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 "There is one last thing." Siercon said, disappointed to be seemingly giving this letter away for free. Still, Rone knew the true identity of The Archer, and he seemed very competent. He supposed things would be safe as long as he was around."I would like to visit your marketplace on our way home. My friends here have been before, and still to this day carry pieces of your craftsmanship, but I have not had the pleasure myself."Siercon respectfully finished. Thalion bowed to the king and nodded at Siercon's request, "Yes, if there is time before we leave for Eubric, I would also like us to visit your marketplace." Quote
The Legonater Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) I haven't counted your trade with William, if that's what you're getting at, giving he still hasn't posted. Of course that can be arranged. If that will be all, I will send an escort for you immediately. Farewell, heroes. Until next time. Indeed. The heroes gear up, pockets feeling heavier, and trek out to the marketplace. Ho! Well if it isn't the heroes of Heroica. What can I get you today? - Duplovian Swift Halberd – WP:3, Duplovians have mastered the art of the halberd, and thus developed one which stuns the target on impact. Suitable for Knights, Barbarians, Dragoons and Skirmishers 80 Gold - Duplovian Boomerang Blade – WP:3, This throwable weapon returns to the hero at the end of the next round after it’s thrown. Ranged. Suitable for Rogues, Rangers, Infiltrators, Beast Warriors and Winged Warriors 80 Gold - Poisoned Duplovian Staff – WP:3, This staff has been permanently poisoned. Suitable for Mages, Clerics, Necromancers and Regulators. 80 Gold. - Hollow Blade - A glass tube is inserted within a weapon allowing an item such as a potion/grand potion, mead, nostrum, smelling salts, tonic/grand tonic, remedy, elixir, phoenix essence to be stored in the hilt, allowing for use at anytime during a battle without costing a turn, i.e. the player may use a potion if it has been stored in the weapon without sacrificing his turn. Only one item may be stored at a time. Applicable to any weapon. Costs 50 Gold If you're looking for a Helmet of the Guard, I'm afraid to say I'm clean out of those. Probably should have further bumped up the price considering how useful they are. Ah, well. If you see anything else in my wares you want, have at 'em. Edited December 30, 2014 by The Legonater Quote
Siercon and Coral Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) "Greetings!" Siercon said, he figured the legendary helmets wouldn't be there, or their price would change, so, he was still grateful to be here. "I'd like one of those Swift Halberds, and a hollow upgrade for this guy." he said, while deadlifting the enormous spear onto the table. "Heck you could probably fit 10 hollow upgrades in it!" Siercon said with a laugh 90% joking, but up for the possibility. 625g - 80g (Halberd) - 50g (Hollow upgrade on Giant Spear) = 495g remaining "You know what... let's put a hollow upgrade on the halberd and this sanctified Rito spear as well." 495-100=395g ***Since the stats on the Halberd were changed, I'm not going to purchase it and it's upgrade. Other upgrades remain :) 395g + 130g = 525g Edited December 30, 2014 by Siercon and Coral Quote
-obelix- Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Thalion bowed, "Your Majesty, master Rone, master Quellir, I bid you farewell. Hopefully, next time we meet will be under more fortuitous circumstances." At the marketplace he greeted the smith, "Greetings master smith! Aye, those helms of yours truly are powerful, mine saved me from a couple of really nasty situations. And, as you can see, I still carry it with me!" He points to the helmet in his pack and smiles. "This time, I would like to pick up some weapons..." He picks up Duplovain Swift Halberd ( - 80 Gold), "Also, I would like Hollow Blades for these." He buys Hollow Blade upgrades for Duplovain Swift Halberd, Alpha & Omega and Ratsbane ( - 50 - 50 - 50 = - 150 Gold) Quote
Siercon and Coral Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) OoC: Question. When it says stuns for 3 rounds on impact, how is that defined: 1. The impact of the weapon in an attack, i.e. any successful hit. 2. Or just the very first initial clash into battle. per opponent? 3. something else? Thanks! Edited December 30, 2014 by Siercon and Coral Quote

The heroes wave goodbye to the Smithy and to Duplovia, beginning the trek back to Heroica. In the Halls of the Duplovian Castle, Eyric and Quellir continue to muse on their discoveries. We should have told them, Eyric. Not yet. What we have are suspicions, and if we act on suspicions we'll all be arrested. Then what do we do? We go to the one place we can find proof. The birthplace of Jadec Marr, the root of Morcrass' mercs, and the city hiding his old base. We go to Delfrin. ...There the Archer revealed his alliance with Morcrass, and began to speak of their plans. You mean that terrorist that attempted to disrupt the peace treaty? Yes, Prince Doriar. Go on, commander. Their plan was to make it look like we attacked Duplovia. They had built a mine shaft leading up to- General, you're late. I received Lachterson's full report as soon as he got back. No point in hearing it twice. General. Please, don't let me stop you. ...They had built a mine shaft leading into the Duplovian Castle. They were going to attack from there with Delfirn mercenaries. We were able to stop them, but the Archer and Uglrukh escaped. Do tell the king the supposed identity of this Archer. Lachterson? ...The Archer is none other than Jadec Marr. That's absurd. Yet it's true. Of course, Lachterson is expecting us to go on his word for all this. I know what I saw. And I'm sure you do. I, for one, am just not willing to openly accept what you've learned from terrorists renowned for their deception. General, are you attempting to accuse Lachterson? Of course not. I'm only surprised by how taken in he was by the mercenaries. By his own admission he came close to attacking the Duplovians. Which I regret immensely. Again, we have nothing but your word. I would never make a direct accusation against Lachterson, my lord. However, when your only other present witness is a mere miner I find it difficult to accept that Morcrass is suddenly active again, with such a force, after being silent for so long. Morcrass is a slippery one, but if he is active I can assure you we will find him quickly. Of course, Prince Doriar. I did not meant to imply anything otherwise. Now, Lachterson, is there anything else you wish to report? Do they always argue this much? Basically. So you are alive, after all. Where have you been all these years? Around. What about you, Princess? Surely you haven't been simply whiling away in a castle. What am I to do? Delfrin hasn't changed that much over the years. Even with the peace, the animosity's still the same. What if I said you could change that? Oh? You're a man of many talents, but you'd more likely kill someone than save them. What can I say, money is very persuasive. And this new friend of yours is paying you well? Let's just say we have an offer you won't refuse. To be continued... QM Note: Thanks to all of you for taking part in this second journey into Duplovia and Delfrin! If there's still purchases you want to make, feel free to make them, but for now this quest has at long last come to a close. Sorry it took so long! I'll have more to say in the QM Lounge, but for now, thanks again! Edited December 30, 2014 by The Legonater Quote
Siercon and Coral Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 OoC: Oh ok gotcha, I'll pass on it and it's upgrade then. I've added the strikethroughs in the purchasing post. Thanks a ton for leading this awesome quest :D I know it has to be hard when participation is spotty and you feel like it's dragging out. But, know that it was tons of fun, I didn't think it dragged out at all. Thanks again! :) Siercon started packing up his things. Turning to others he said: "You are all truly great warriors, and I was honored to be fighting alongside of you. I hope we can have many more adventures in the future... Thank you." Quote
