Here I was beginning to think you'd wasted your training and gotten yourself killed. Pfft. Hardly. You've hounded me more than any enemy could ever hope to. That's the spirit. Thalion uses his abilities to melt through the bars, freeing Dovanna. When I was chosen to lead the search party, I wasn't expected half as much trouble as we got. We found the Duplovian camp scatter-brained and crazy. They didn't even notice us. It was pretty bad. We met up with the Delfrin search party, and according to Lachterson their camp was holding up a lot better. We were investigating one of the western caverns together when suddenly we were ambushed. There must have been at least a dozen of them, came out of nowhere. Delfrin mercenaries, if I had to guess. I went down fighting them, but I never saw what happened to Lachterson. When I woke up, I was here and they were beating me for questions. Quote

I don't know who hired them, or why they're here, but they seemed interested in keeping their identities secret - they wore balaclavas and dark clothes. Alexander and Siercon quickly stop to heal up some of the party. William feels replenished, but quickly gets hit by another bolt, this one poisoned. Dovanna gets hit hard, and not even his luck can stop the attack. Thalion and Quellir push on and get some hits in against the mercenaries, carrying the team into another round. You might as well give up now. It'd be far less painful for you.
