Kiray's eyebrows furrowed at the ogre. "Right."

"What! Er, I mean yes, I am supposed to be a dancing woodsman. I just call them heroes because I admire their lovely... dance moves so much. Can I come in now?"

The ogre sighed.

"Fine. You're in. But the rest of you aren't fooling me."

"You haven't even seen my costume," Kiray protested. Kiray unequipped the orcish shield and instead equipped her scutum. "I'm going as Pseudos the Guardian. Loot at my red armor and shield."

[Captain Settle]

"Okay, see you later buds. I'm not letting you guys hold me back."

And with that, Francis strolled inside.

Passing Captain Lane her telescope, Mizuki moved to adress the ogre. "Heh, you see me and him ?" Mizuki said as she pointed to Captain Lane. "Opposing costumes. He's going as a pirate and I'm a ninja. Not the most original but it works right ?"

"I thought it was pretty obvious, but I guess not," Actaeon says in a superior tone, "I'm going as Robin Hood's darker brother known simply as 'The Hood'."

OoC: I have no idea if Heroica has these legends or not.

Actaeon suddenly realizes that he will need to get Red and Briar in as well.

"This good man here," he says as he steps next to Red, "Is clearly a hair stylist," he points to Red's hair, indicating how beautiful it is with his gesturing hand, "And this," he says, jumping next to Briar, "is his apprentice," again, indicating the flawless hair.

"Hold on tights. I'm going to have to check your weapons, too. Too many booze and ladies inside. Don't go so well with swords and such."

"Wolfgang don't go anywhere without their weapons."

"That's what you said your last four visits, Reg. You can have a sword or a woman tonight, not both."

Reg looked between his greatsword and the inside of the Locale repeatedly, and sighed dejectedly.

"We'll wait out here, heroes."

Actaeon scoffs, "People would never recognize 'The Hood' without his bow and arrows! No no no, I will not be the laughing stock of this party. I need my costume to be perfect!"

Appalled, Actaeon replies, "I cannot believe you just said that!" Trying to regain his composure, Actaeon replies, "You may think that my costume is unconvincing, but I assure you, it is perfect to the very last thread! I need my bow and arrows to be complete!"

Kiray chuckled at Actaeon's exchange with the doorman. "Are all supposed to turn our weapons in?"

Mizuki tossed over both her gladii, as well as the gladiator trident she kept stowed away. "Lane, you mind passing over your hand mortar?"

The ogre waved the three of them inside. For such a run-down establishment in the Hovels, the Locale was quite busy. Lane crossed his arms and snorted at the multitude of drunken patrons and the working girls.

"This is our recruiting center, huh?"

Kiray cast a judgmental eye on the partiers. "Fan out and start talking to people," she told her party members. Kiray checked the room for any valuables. Then she walked upstairs to the man in the helmet and the two... people... he was with.

The woman serving drinks at the bar eyed Kiray suspiciously as she scoped out the Locale for valuables. There were an almost uncountable number of dusty old paintings hung on the wall over peeling wallpapers. They were older than anything displayed at Heroica Hall - or anywhere she'd seen in Eubric, for that matter. The stairs creaked as she walked up them to the second level, walking pointedly past the dwarf on the footstool making out ferociously with one of the girls and over to the old, beared man that appeared to be dressed up as some kind of knight.

"Hoy there lass! Were ye hopin' to squeeze in here, or, ehm." The man paused, taking in Kiray's appearance and coming to conclusion she probably wasn't one of the working girls. "Pseudos, aye? God of justice 'n what have you? Can't even keep up with the deities they keep spinnin' yarns about these days, haha!"

"And just what are you supposed to be?" Kiray asked. "Also Pseudos is not the god of justice, I'll give you another guess though."

"A Dragon Knight of course! Never met one meself, but I've been to Dastan, and I'll tell ye now lass: anyone who can tame a dragon is worthy of dressin' up as, I say! Hah! I've seen more'n my fair share of creatures and cretins in my day, but dragons?! Now that's somethin' else."

"Erhm, truth? Righteousness? Somethin' moral-like, aye?"

"Dastan is an... interesting place." Kiray stared at the "Dragon Knight." "I've seen dragons, and I've seen real dragon knights. Some of them certainly aren't worth dressing up as."

Actaeon walks up to what appears to be a pirate, a knight, and an elf... something or other.
