I've brought the old(ish) farm sets out of storage and built them up for my 3 yr old to play with, as he loves farm equipment. Actually, he does fairly well at putting them together himself, as long as I lay the peices needed for the next few steps out in front of him. However, the last few weeks he has focused on one thing--he wants a Lego tomato harvester. Must be from one of those mighty machine DVD's. I really have little idea of where to start, other than that it'll probably need a conveyor belt in the front. Has anyone else ever tried to make one?

No can't say I've tried that, but it would be pretty cool to make one. Try Lego Digital Designer and see if you can make one? You could use the chassis from the Combine Harvester set

You have peaked interest all of a suddent with something I had never heard of before and now looking at images of real ones....ouch, tough design to work with.

I agree using the combine harvester design from 2009 would be a start and modify it from there.

Brick On 'Asgard10' !
