TheRedGuy Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 First set was Inika Matoro and the last was the stars Piraka. I didn't get much Bionicles back in the days, and there are plenty I want right now but they're too expensive here. Quote
Lord-Vorahk Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 It's a bit complicated as to who bought what and why, but... My first sets were Lehvak and Gahlok. I'd heard about Bionicle before, from an old friend, but he was... unpleasant, so I didn't get them. But then I got those two sets for my birthday. I wasn't too sure about them, I was more interested in the Robot Wars pullbacks I got. Still, I built them both... and I loved them. Pohatu Nuva followed soon after. The first sets I bought, though, were Tahnok-Kal, Hahli, Hewkii, and Matoro. Shortly after that, there was a birthday and christmas in short order, leading to an influx of Lewa Nuva, Pahrak-Kal, Nuhvok-Kal, three Rahkshi, a Boxor, Jaller and Gukko, and Takua and Pewku. And then I spent my money on Kohrak-Kal, Lehvak-Kal, Gahlok-Kal, Tahnok-Va, Lehvak-Va, and the Tarakava. The last retail sets I bought were Stars, like everyone else, it seems. In particular, I'd acquired Takanuva first, then Tahu, followed by Gresh, Rahkshi, and Nektann. I never got the Skrall. I didn't want to pay full price for what was basically a mutated Fero with a nice blade and a gold piece that's only useful in twos. After that, however... I may have acquired a complete set of Nuva and two Metru from a friend who didn't want them anymore. Quote
VBBN Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Lewa and Tahu mata were the first two I had gotten, and the last sets were Tahu, Rahkshi, Gresh, and Skrall stars. All things aside, I started with Tahu and ended with Tahu. Quote
Cheatster9000x Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 First set? Onua Mata. Last set? Mata Nui Glatorian. However theoretically my last set was Ahkmou, as my dad ordered me a buttload of parts, and I had all the parts to make Ahkmou. Plus a load of other misc characters, but they aren't canon or relevent right now. Quote
Matsuoka Nui Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 My first set was actually Huki/Hewkii from the Mctoran...but later that year for Christmas I got all Six Toa Mata (oh my gosh how I remember that day...<3333 I remember opening the gift and inside this bin was all six of the Toa Mata and I was screaming, "IT'S THE BIONICLES!" XD man I wasted no time building them.) As for the final set it was the Stars (I got them all at once). Quote
montgocloud Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 My first Bionicle set was either Onua or Tahu from 2001 and my last set was the 2009 Skrall. I would've been inclined to buy more sets later on if the joints on the 2009 models didn't snap so frequently. Quote
Gatanui Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 First: Turaga Nokama and Onewa, last: Skrall and Rahkshi Stars. -Gata Quote
Sir Walter Maugham Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 My first set was the original Kopaka. As a kid completely obsessed with Link from The Legend of Zelda the sword and shield made him a must have set. But that was the only Bionicle set that I bought for a pretty good while. The Rahkshi were the line that really got me into Bionicle. They're the line that I'm most nostalgic towards. The Mata and Nuva's rather extreme lack of poseability is why I never had much interest in them. My last set was Tarduk. Nearly all of it's joints broke. Poor little guy. Quote
Toa Lahka Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 First: Lewa (01) Last: Gresh (Stars) I liked being able to bookend with green sets. Lewa will definitely be my first for the 2015 version. Quote
KotZ Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 First: Lewa Nuva and the Lehvak-Kal for Christmas. Last: Skrall if I'm not mistaken. I'm also a fan of the air-based figures and have around half of them or just a little under. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 My first Bionicle was Gahlok, which I received for Christmas. At that time, I wasn't really into Bionicle at all. A few years late, I bought Carapar and Mantax at 75% off. I couldn't resist, even tough I still didn't "get" the theme. A few months later I bought Gadunka, and that set finally pushed me over the edge. Now I am a full blown collector, and I am attempting to finish off my collection via "Bricklinking" (buying sets piece by piece off of Bricklink) The latest sets I have completed are the six Turaga. Quote
ZORK64 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 My first Bionicle set was the very first Kopaka, and my last one... uh, I believe it was one of the little guys that were released in the same wave as the Piraka. I bought this guy in a small town store in mid-2010 though. Quote
InfurnallDragon Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 First ever sets were one of the McToran, but then I got Tahu and Kopaka at the same time I think. I was totally amazed by the fluorescent eyestalks, and simultaneously furious that they might as well be permanently attached the moment you put them in a skull (hopefully won't be an issue this time). The final set I got from a retailer was the Stars Rahkshi to finish off BIONICLE's final wave. A bit after BIONICLE ended I made it my goal to fulfill my childhood dream of obtaining all 6 original Rahkshi, which were my all-time favorite villains. In the time they were on the shelves of retailers I was only able to get Guurahk. Guurahk, being a "son of Makuta", was modified several times to keep him the main villain of my stories. Through several snipes and deals I managed to collect all 6(+1) rahkshi and restore Guurahk to his original form. The only two complete waves of BIONICLE I have are proudly shelved. Quote
Frozen Assasin Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 First set -Turahk (I then believed it was an dinosaur). Last set-Takua and Pewku, which I purchased just several months ago. Quote
K-Nut Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 First set I think was Tahu Nuva (or whatever the second version of him is called). Last was the stars Tahu, which was a cool way to end the first run. Definitely planning on having Tahu as my first when I get back into it. Quote
Loki Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 If McToran count, then Kongu was the first. If not, then Gali would be the first. As for last... I think... Gali Mistika? Kinda came full circle. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 My very first one was a gift, I think. If I can remember it was Kopaka or Ouna and they were the only year one Bionicle sets a had until I bought some at a garage sale a few years ago. And the last was Takunuva forms Stars, which was also a gift ironically. Quote
mysteriouspi Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 First sets my brother and I bought were all six Turaga at the same time. Kept the purchases going until 2008, at which point the last set we acquired was Lewa Phantoka. Reason being he was the only Toa that year whose design we cared for. We never did get into Glatorian or Stars, so that's it until G2 releases. Quote
JasonEffex Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) My first sets were Gahlok Kal and Kohrak Kal that I got as presents on my birthday. I remember using the head function to make them fight each other until one of their Krana fell out, which I still find quite fun now, . Those sets not only got me into Bionicle, but Lego in general. I then managed to acquire most other Bionicle sets until I bought my final set - Stars Rahkshi. Edited October 3, 2014 by JasonEffex Quote

Especially since they were smaller sets. Edited October 3, 2014 by InfurnallDragon Quote
TheGreatSpirit Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Oh crap, forgot to mention my last set... I really can't remember, but I know it was one of the Stars, probably either Gresh, Takanuva, or Piraka (Nektann) Quote
GeluNumber1 Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I remember my grandma buying me Hordika Nuju in 2005. I liked it because it was a building set, and i liked imaginext at the time. So, seeing that it was a building toy, she bought it for me. Last set was...I think rahaga pouks from a thrift shop in 2013. Quote
Kalhiki Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 First was Turaga Onewa. I thank my sister for getting Turaga Matau and making me want one of the little guys as well. Been hooked on Bionicle ever since. Last was... One of the Stars. I kinda got 'em all at once. Last I built was Tahu. Seemed like a good way to end the theme. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 My first was Onua Mata. The last I bought from a large store were the Stars, for nostalgia sake... Although, about a year ago, a vintage toy shop opened near me, and they just happened to stock an entire shelf of Bionicle. After buying Ahkmou and Tehutti, I said to the owner I would see him again. The next time I was in the area, it had closed down. I remember him telling me he got his sets from a source in America, but I never did find out more. It was a shame, if I knew it was closing, I would have visited sooner. He was a nice guy. Quote
Floundie Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) The first two to come into my house were Pohatu and Kopaka, 13 years ago! My last was Stars Rahkshi. Edited October 5, 2014 by Floundie Quote
