This is one fantastic vessel! Sorry I only 'discovered' it today. I basically grew up with a 1:35 wooden scale model of the Santa Maria (or better: one of her depictions) made by my grandfather... Always wanted to replicate it with Lego. Your version surely is great inspiration! Love everything about it.

Really sorry for your loss, your dad would definitely have loved this magnificent ship!

What a beautiful ship - it took me a few seconds to realize it was made of LEGO! Nice photography too! A great way to keep the memory of your dad alive.

Holy Cow! How could I have missed this? She's definetely one of the best lego ships of that era I've seen so far. Totally amazing carrack, just the kind I like best myself. Makes me actually think to go ahead and Post my latest ship in a thread of its own.

Wow this is definitely one of the best looking ships that seen posted here, even in the close up shot.
