Slegengr Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 Great to see some older Castle figs used Sweet landscape here, the boulder in the background looks great Thanks, SK! I love building landscapes and I really like my older minifigures. I can only agree with the others, the landscaping is fantastic, especially the rockwork. It's nice to see that you use some older LEGO Castle minifigs but I think they don't fit in this scene, because this old minifigs are less detailed than the new ones and a scene like this one, with such a detailed landscape could do with some more detailed minifigs. I hope you undestand what I wanted to say. Thanks, Wat! I do understand. I like to incorporate detailed minifigs, but I am basing my faction on the older minifigures so they incorporate plainer Medieval style. I will definitely be incorporating more detailed minifigs in other builds, but the builds including the Falki Ridders will be incorporating older minifigure parts and plain armor. There is a possibility that I will make the update to pearl dark gray armor elements instead of the old dark gray, but I do not have immediate plans as such... Quote
Gideon Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Nice landscaping, I like the color mix on the ground! Only nitpick is that I'm not very fond of the dbg plate corner on the right side in a build with an otherwise quite smooth edge. Quote

I personally love the dark green and olive green foliage pieces. Each time I look at these images, I notice one more detail that I missed. I had not sorted very many sets yet when I did this build, so I was short on dbg wedge plates, but, had I noticed that corner, I would have found a plate to smooth the edges. I especially appreciate the constructive criticism from you, a MOC expert. Quote
