I`m an big OT Fan and it was very difficult to find something that was not build with LEGO! And here is the scene for which I have chosen me Quote "I want to come with you to alderaan. There`s nothing for me here now. I want to leran the ways of the force and become a Jedi like my father". All photos on flickr zu finden. And how you can see my inspiration for the Sandcrawler was by MB Bricks because its the best SC ever! Optimal size and details. Brickwright Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) (I was going to comment on Flickr, but there was too much I wanted to say. It seemed a little overbearing to post it there ) I love stuff like this that matches the film scenes so closely. There are so many subtle details, like the broken tread on the sandcrawler and the little pneumatic bit on the landspeeder. You even matched the bumpy, uneven texture of the sand where they shot this scene (compared to locations like the Lars homestead or Mos Eisley). The sandcrawler itself gives the scene an ambitious feel. Like Robianco said, something about it seems to imply that it is the whole vehicle, even though it could have very easily been built only to the top of the image. The minifigs are the best Lego has to offer, too. Even though the C-3PO minifigs from '12, '13 or '14 are more detailed, the chrome gold one was a better choice in this case, since the reflective surface really sells the look of 3PO when he's on Tatooine, and most of those details are on the front anyway. Many stunning entrys for SoNE and also good work on the other MOC`s.
