I wrote a review of the set here if anyone considering buying it would like to read. It's definitely a great set that is a testament to how awesome LEGO works as a display piece. :)

Nice review. And nice 10123 Boba ;)

Great set but am I the only one a little miffed that in a £170 set one figure doesn't even have backprinting? Lego never ceases to confound.

Well, this is a UCS set, so I wouldn't be very surprised if it came without any figures at all...

Thanks, that's the most recent Boba Fett I had to compare to.

It's very new figure anyway, the only one I will be able to compare the new Boba (once I get home, as my new Slave 1 has just been delivered while I was at work :classic: ) will be the one from 7144

Really looking forward to buying this set. I'm in the middle of moving, though, so I don't plan to order it until I finally get settled into my new dorm room and have an address to ship the set to.

But it seems that the LEGO S&H can't make up its mind on how it's stocked. First it was OOS until the 12th, then it was OOS for a month. Yesterday afternoon it became available, but that apparently didn't last long as it's now OOS for a month again. I'm gonna be checking the stock status religiously and hopefully I can snipe the set.

They are having a lot of issue with "restocking dates" The demand for the new sets has been much higher than they expected. Anyway, think positive: hopefully in the next production run they will fix the typo on the specification sticker  well, at least we can hope :classic:

Nice review. This set is really growing on me.

Would anyone be kind enough to take the dimensions of the Slave 1 on its stand please?

Am planning of getting an acrylic case made for it before I get the set.

Much thanks!

i measure mine at 17.5 inches tall, and 15 inches wide (wing to wing)

decided to compile all the numbers for people's referance

75060 Slave I: Dimensions

Height on stand: 17.5” (45cm)

Height on ground:

Including guns: 8.00” (20cm)

Not including guns 7.25” (18cm)

Width (wing to wing) 15.0” (38cm)

Length on ground: 17.5” (45cm)

ADDED:

depth on stand (from guns, to back of ship) 13.5 inch (35cm)

Interestingly it is virtually the same height on the stand as it is long on the ground.

Ah the memories. I remember when that was the only Slave I there was and I considered it so good.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm a Boba fanboy and it would pain me on some level to have a glaring typo on the sticker sheet of the Slave I.

The only thing is that I've always gotten the Slave I sets early. I have the 8029 version from before they changed the structure with the 2x4 slope bricks.

I'll probably be buying the set in the next few days, or whenever they restock them I guess.

I hope that too. You mean the 8097?

I have it too and honestly I like it. Nothing compared to UCS, of course.

I was not sure about getting another Slave I but I think in the end I'll buy it too.

Anyway let's hope the next production will fix the typo on the sticker :classic:

So if I want to display Slave 1 on its stand, the acrylic case has to be bigger than 38 (L) x 20 (W) x 45 (H) cm (internal dimensions)

Maybe a case's measurement of 44 (L) x 26 (W) x 51(H) cm (external dimensions) will do the trick, with the acrylic sheets being of 3mm thickness.

@ GallardoLU: Much thanks for compiling it!

if you are going to go with it on stand, there is 1 dimension you will still need (added to above list also) and that's:

depth on stand (from guns, to back of ship) 13.5 inch (35cm)

I personally would go with a square case big enough to fit wing to wing in any direction and approx 50cm tall.

That's a great suggestion. Will then change it to a 44 cm square and a 50cm tall case then!

Much thanks! :)

Impressive mod! You must have a lot of bricks in the right colors  available.

Congratulations for your efforts. The results are indeed amazing :classic:

Actually I had to bricklink most of them. I found every photo of the model that I could and made a list of what pieces I needed.
