Robianco Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Well it's now on the UK S@H and it's £169.99 which is the same as the X-Wing. Quote
Risgrynsgrot Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 And on the swedish S@H for 2199 SEK. Which is £189/240€/300$ We're the closest neighbours to Denmark but we keep ending up with the worst prices. Quote

Azrielsc Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Just when I was about to pull the trigger to get 8097, this pops up! Oh, can't wait to get it. Unfortunately, the resellers over here in Singapore are already taking pre-orders and putting up high prices like US$345++! :( Quote

Unique retail price or something Quote
Azrielsc Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) Terrible practice, I wish TLG had a mechanism to prevent that... Unique retail price or something It is just unfortunate that Lego is really expensive over here. Amazon used to allow purchases but they stopped that and only recently started allowing us to order again (just started a few days ago). Of course with restrictions, like no big sets and no sets above US$x amount... Lego lovers in the US do have it great there! :) Edited October 16, 2014 by Azrielsc Quote
Panthro Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Oh Lego store, why do you taunt me so and make me wait until January? Quote
LoRd AmUnRa Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Here are a few more pictures with some interesting shots and with a, someone could find it funny, story before the official set presentation^^ https://www.flickr.com/photos/10279741@N00/sets/72157648275549947 Quote
usbdevice Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 It's on the Swiss S@H too at 259 CHF which amounts to about 214€. Still, that's the same price as the Red Five X-Wing which has a lot less parts. I've never been a huge fan of the Slave I but I will definitely get this set as it does look stunning. Maybe I can hold off the purchase until a nice sale comes along Quote

(how can you not remember such a crucial detail?! ) Edited October 16, 2014 by Schneeds Quote
Azrielsc Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I must find a space at home to display this! Maybe by the bedstand. :) Quote
TWP Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Hello guys, I actually managed to see and touch this set in person so I like to share some info with you :) (sadly, no pics, I didn't had my camera on me :( ) At the Lego event where I was exhibitor, there was a special AFOL evening and KimT himself (he was there from TLG for the event, also a good friend from EB ;) ) showed us some new unreleased sets, one of which, for the first time in europe, the UCS slave one! It was really enthiousiastic about this set. ever since the name got leaked, and after the images too, I really wanted it as it's my favorite SW set. Spoiler alert: I still want it :) So when we were invited to look at them, I of course walked straight to the Slave. It felt great the first moment I touched it. It was fiddly to open the side hatches with the canons, but that's forgiven. Then I lifted it from the stand.... and it already fel apart. Minifigs: They were actually great! they had the full boba too. Han - actually he was still in the ship, but I got him and the carbonite out... eventually. quite nice basic figure. New face, rest the same. no backprint, no redesigned carbonite. Stormtrooper - just the same as in the ISD. I had not seen that one in the flesh though, it's a great fig. Cloud city guard - many thought of it as the star of the set. I don't see why. Don't get me wrong, it's really a great minifig. Boba is just so nice . has backprint, no armprint anymore sadly. Boba - like it hinted at, the star of the set minifig wise. He is ALL redesigned, saved for his helmet and jetpack. Yes, you heared it right - new torso, legs, arms, head, cape. The cape has actually a print and is in two colors. Looks really cool and accurate. You might not have known - he has backprinting too! back is just great, but even the front of the torso is redesigned. In my opinion he does not suffer from over detail we got lately figs wise. The face is new. I don't know if it was still the placeholder, but I have never seen the print before. It was sort of the standard movie clone face - but - with a different, better smirk, more happily and an extra scar. Makes sense a bit. I'll continue later, if you can wait about: Set look from the outside, inside, stability, swooshability, displaybility, play features and conclusion. (Btw, KimT, if you read this (I'm pretty sure you do), I try not to be too negative about this set (it is great, but has big downsides too), it was great you brought it, sorry for breaking it a bit on the first 10 seconds, and thank you for the event again! ) I actually did not recognised you at first, only realised it was you from EB on the way back home :) Quote
Albus Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Awesome to hear that Boba's cloth is printed! The 2013 version is my favourite Star Wars minifigure, I didn't think they'd be able to improve him! Quote
Something_Awesome Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Wow, no more arm print? The official pics showed him with arm print and there is a video showing him with arm print too. Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Wow, no more arm print? The official pics showed him with arm print and there is a video showing him with arm print too. I think he's referring to the Bespin guard, not boba. The previous guard had arm print (I think) and that's what he's referring to. Quote
esbinho Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Very interesting new lego! What continues to amaze me is the engineering behind this "toys". Quote
PromocjaLego Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 This UCS Slave I, is really very nice Quote
Venkefedo Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Now we just need a UCS cloud city Noooooooooo! I'd rather see a wave dominated by Bespin & Dagobah scenes... a Carbon Freeze Chamber scene, a "No, I am your father" scene, maybe a Dinner Betrayal, Ugnaught Smelting Room, or Corridor Chase scene, a Cloud Car set, etc. I just worry that trying to put all of the Cloud City stuff in a single set again would be a disappointing and/or monumentally expensive effort. I think he's referring to the Bespin guard, not boba. The previous guard had arm print (I think) and that's what he's referring to. Yup, the old guard had dark red cuffs. Not a huge loss, but a bit of a shame when Boba looks so good and arm prints pop up all over the place. Plain arms aren't enough to knock this set off my "most wanted" list, tho! Quote
stope Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Wow! This might very well be the first UCS I'll buy... Oh well... Quote

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. I always wanted the original Cloud City set, but it was too expensive at the time and my parents just couldn't justify it. When they make a new one, I believe one set should just be a entrance and landing bay, one large enough for the Slave I. Therefore also big enough to contain the current Falcon by itself. Quote
Alijster Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Stunning detail! Want it so much!!! :( Quote
DanishLegoLover Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 And on the swedish S@H for 2199 SEK. But i would recommend moving to the states for better prices Quote
