Kai NRG Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Tough call! I think I'll go with the men's side however.
Wat Tambor Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I'll join side with the Dwarves. For category B, can I build something that is smaller than 32x32 but still bigger than 16x16?
Sir Gareth Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 A hard choice! Sir Gareth shall join the Men's side, supporting what is best for Mitgardia.
mpoh98 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Wahoo! It is here! :D Breathtaking castle Ecclesiastes, I look forward to more pictures! I will join the Dwarves side. :)
Jakorin Swiftsword Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Don't know if it needs to be said, but I'm choosing the men's side. Those pesky little dwarves are planning to enter Avalonia, after all!
Slegengr Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 That is an amazing castle for the introduction, Ecc! I am really looking forward to seeing what others build for this! Though it seems to be the popular choice, I will be choosing the side of men. I have quite a number of dwarves and interest in building for them in developing my part of Mitgardia, but my main interest is in the men of Mitgardia and Erland's Falki Ridders, so for this challenge I will be building for men.
NiceMarmot Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Wow! Very cool castle! Looking forward to some more pictures of that. I'm assuming the setup is the same? Mitgardians can choose which side they're on, but participants from other guilds are assigned randomly to a side? In any case, I'm in. My preference is probably on the side of men, since I don't have a lot of dwarf/hobbit/child legs, but I suppose no matter what side, I'll have to include some dwarves in the builds, so it probably doesn't matter.
cablefoxley Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 For task c of the mens side could we have any collaborations between memebers? As it does say multiple builds and a diplomatic solution. Also are we picking side or are u choosing for us like on the previous chalenge?
Jorrith Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Sounds nice! Not sure yet if i will participate, but the side of man would be my prefference if i would.
Emma Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Sign me up - either side is fine . And wow - great builds Ecc! That first one is especially amazing, and huge .
Venkefedo Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 For category B, can I build something that is smaller than 32x32 but still bigger than 16x16? I think the sizes mentioned for A & B are maximum only. I think Haarits kinda has to side with the Dwarves...
Yzalirk Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I will definitely participate but as NM asked - If you're not in Mitgardia, do you randomly get assigned a side to fight for? Whatever the case may be, I'd gladly help out the Dwarves because they are a part of Historican society and not many people are choosing the help them out.
MKJoshA Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I'm hoping it's just me, but I'm having a hard time keeping track of all of the dwarves in this story Can someone give me a run down on the leaders of Amortug and what part they are playing? In the 2nd part of this story two brothers were mentioned (one on the boat and then entering the tunnels early, and the other at Amortug). Who are they? And what part is the dwarf with the 1 eye playing? And I feel like I'm missing a piece of the story from after the Avalonian civil war ended. I know the plague was stopped, undead were taking over boats, and the Drow were being beat back; but how does that mesh with why the dwarves are attacking the Drow in Avalonia? Questions aside, I would like to sign up for the side of the Dwarves! As all I've been doing is killing them off in my storyline, it'll be nice to build something where they actually get to win
the lego dwarf Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I would like to sign up for the side of men if possible.
NiceMarmot Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I would like to sign up for the side of men if possible. Wait a minute... Your username is "the lego dwarf" and you're siding with men?
the lego dwarf Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Wait a minute... Your username is "the lego dwarf" and you're siding with men? oh no you have found me out.The only reason i want to side with men is because i have better ideas with the faction. But then again any side will do me.
Ecclesiastes Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks for all the kind words guys But don't forget, the last two builds are build by kabel. And especially his ships is a beauty. Not to forget the sail design! Do people from guilds beside Mitgardia get randomly assigned a team? AS FOR NOW EVERYONE IS FREE TO CHOOSE A SIDE TO JOIN. IF ONE SIDE GETS TO POPULAR THE SIGN UP FOR THAT SIDE WILL BE CLOSED! If we are picking sides, can I pick the men's quest? I feel I have pieces more in the direction :) Does the 16x16 include border? So if my border is 2 thick does that mean my build is 14x14 to include border? It doesn't include a border. Wonderfull set up and amazing builds. Question: does a build for this challenge have to include ones sig fig? No. Only the Mitgardians truly get to choose, but when the rest are placed personal preferences are taken into account. I have no intention of participating, just letting those who weren't members during the last challenge know. The standard contest rules weren't listed either. Someone should get to posting those. No standard rules this time, we'll see how this works out I'll join side with the Dwarves. For category B, can I build something that is smaller than 32x32 but still bigger than 16x16? Yes it's indeed jsut a max. size. Wow! But you don't have to use those short legs. I didn't but the beards make them look dwarvish enough. Lego should make a new size of legs, a medium. So dwarves for you?! For task c of the mens side could we have any collaborations between memebers? As it does say multiple builds and a diplomatic solution. Also are we picking side or are u choosing for us like on the previous chalenge? Feel free to ask a member to make a collab. But it's not necessary as you could make up a diplomatic story. Sign me up - either side is fine . And wow - great builds Ecc! That first one is especially amazing, and huge . I think dwarves, will suit you fine. Looking forward to see what you'll build! I'm hoping it's just me, but I'm having a hard time keeping track of all of the dwarves in this story Can someone give me a run down on the leaders of Amortug and what part they are playing? In the 2nd part of this story two brothers were mentioned (one on the boat and then entering the tunnels early, and the other at Amortug). Who are they? Questions aside, I would like to sign up for the side of the Dwarves! As all I've been doing is killing them off in my storyline, it'll be nice to build something where they actually get to win O men, that's hard for me as well. All those difficult names. I'll try to make a short list this week of the characters
MiloNelsiano Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 As an Avalonian on the Mitgardian border, I choose the side of men.
Venkefedo Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 But you don't have to use those short legs. I didn't but the beards make them look dwarvish enough. Lego should make a new size of legs, a medium. With the advent of these "tall dwarves", it'll probably help to be clear about who's a dwarf and who isn't, if someone is building without short legs! Of course, there is sort of a 'medium' option with the BrickFortress articulated short legs, as they're slightly taller than Lego's short legs.
IenjoyLego89 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 It doesn't include a border. Thanks Ecclesiastes that clears things up, means I can continue with my build :) I assume we can start building, or do we need to wait until teams are announced? Sorry for the questions but this is my first challenge, so I want to make sure I get everything right :)
de Gothia Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 If it's possible I will fight along my father in law, Elon! :)
mccoyed Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I would suggest that people NOT mix tall dwarves and humans (both men and women, you know?) in the same build. That will just get confusing fast.
Hobbythom Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I'm in! And I have a preference for the dwarven side!
