Jakorin Swiftsword Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Nice rockwork underneath that house. And the house itself is very impressive. :) Quote
MKJoshA Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 Very nice build, my favorite parts are the lower floor and the tree The tower seems to be missing some kind of windows however? My intention was for the tower to house the staircase leading between the 2 floors. I thought about windows, but with the size of the tower, the limitations of Lego's window piece selection to fit a 2x1 base, and the fact that sweeping snow off of a spiral staircase meant that I left them off. The roof is nice, and I really like the texture on the walls, especially on the ground floor! Thanks for the feedback! Nice build, MKJoshA. The walls and roof are very detailed. I really like the plants and the tree. Thank you very much Sir Gareth! Very nice build, those curtains on the window are excellent I'm glad you like them! Nice build, MKJ, I like how you made the house at a different angle than the base The curtains, wings, chimney, border and cellar door are great details. As to the tower, I agree with the others that it would certainly be improved if it was a bit bigger and had some windows (it strikes me as more of a small grain silo as it is ). The texture on the second-story front could also be improved by mixing the profile bricks with the plates a little more. Very cool build overall though, especially considering your piece limitations Thank you for your detailed feedback. Piece limitation is becoming less and less of a problem. Though, the bigger I build the more often it comes up Nice rockwork underneath that house. And the house itself is very impressive. :) I'm glad you like the rockwork! I think you're the first to mention it! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 One of your best buildings yet, I very much like the green window shutters and curtains The round tower works well as far as shaping and meshing with the house, but a few windows would definitely improve it. The cellar doors and garden are great exterior details Quote
LordDan Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) I really like this , the stone foundation looks really nice and the tower looks fine to me until you pointed it out. The cellar doors are really cool and are one of my favorite parts, along with the tilted entrance. Edited October 14, 2014 by LordDan Quote

songwm Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I like how you incorporate the tower section into the building. Cool! Quote
