de Gothia Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 That large tree is one good looking tree! Pretty part consuming but with that result it´s totally worth it! The rest of the moc is great! Only nitpick is the green base plate, build your plates one stud out from the base plate and you have solved that problem! Quote

The rest of the moc is great! Only nitpick is the green base plate, build your plates one stud out from the base plate and you have solved that problem! Thanks, de Gothia! There are a lot of parts used for the tree, but I agree that it is worth it. Plus, I have plenty of parts at my disposal. Thanks for the tip on the base plate, too. In this particular case, I did not want to hide the base. I usually prefer irregular bases to make it look more realistic, but this was an attempt at a bordered base. The entire base is meant to have the Mitgardian green band as well as the brown tiled band to enclose the build. The green plates are entirely extraneous for the structure and strength of the build and are only there for the bordering effect. Maybe I should have incorporated a base that was more distinctly different from the landscape. Quote
