VintageLegoEra Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Hi Again!,,, Now were approaching The before last Modular ( of-course not counting the 2015 one :) ) . This is the 8th Modular: The Palace Cinema. This is a very nice set with cool look and design,,,, The Box & The Contents: Remarks: - I love the box with Dark Background. Indeed gives a unique feeling. Note: * Well Due to some short in time I had, only the 1st Floor was done in details with photos. Rest levels, only final photos were taken.... VintageLegoEra Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 Bag 1: Car + 4 Minifigures + 1st Floor *My First time to have a red Baseplate..:) Minififures: * Very Nice Minifigures Car: * mmmmm,,,Well,,,Dont know what to say!...This is so ugly car. They could do even better models. but this with small wheels and wide wheel hubs, so stretched..ohh. indeed a mess! 1st Floor: Done! * This is my Favourite Floor..Very nice exterior and interior details and very realistic! Bag 2: 2 Minifigures + 2nd Floor: r * Nice Theater area with a very cool Screen! * There are the 2 minifigures from the Bag 2 ( Total in the set= 6 Minifigs ). Calmly watching the movie :) Bag 3: The Roof + The Sign The Roof: * Cool Design and those flaps ( dont know the exact world for it ) give a unique look to the roof! * Well, These like weapon thing are very annoying. They fell easily The Sign: * In All My Lego Sets, when i build i am building in a way that The ( Lego ) written is on 1 direction and symetrical to other parts. This will give a very neat, elegant look of your set! . This indeed consume time but it is a fun! * A very Nice sign-board Final Look! Thanks for Watching and this was a fast building thread as i am little busy. In my next build, i will hopefully have good time so i make a detailed building thread like the previous threads. Stay Tuned for the last building of this modular series the: Parisian Restaurant, #10243 Till then, TC and have a great moments! FIN Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Should hopefully be getting this in November but I'm curious if anyone has modded theirs to include a separate room for the projector ? Quote

Great you will have this soon. It is a must!.. I think i saw what you r looking for. Try to Google Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Haha that one with the iphone is brilliant. I was looking for the final link. That's exactly what I was thinking of with a separate door to go into that room with the projector Quote
parksroad Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Anybody else just leave all the stickers off? I just got mine and thought I'd leave them off at least for the first build and I think it looks fantastic. I also love being able to see so much of the lobby interior from the outside. Quote
Sven F Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I scanned the stickers so I can make replicas if they get worn with age, but didn't stick the posters at all, I like the glass windows. I was more interested in weather someone has modified the car, as i think it has potential, but looks ghastly the way it is. Quote

mkeller234 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I'm having a really tough time choosing between this on and Parisian restaurant! I love the palace sign. I think it's the best sign on any of the modulars. Quote
Poisso3 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I just finished putting this set together two nights ago. I really wish they used the piece count from the spotlights and the rails for the car to make it a bit better. Quote
parksroad Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 The longer I own this, the more striking and elegant it seems when I walk into the room. I really don't mind that the interior is simple. Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I've been modding my cinema to accommodate an old iphone as the cinema screen and add a projection room at the back. I've had to order a round 2x2 tile with a film reel print on (4150px25) and tbh I'm amazed one of these was never used in the first place ! A cinema should've surely had a piece with a film reel on it ! I've been modding my cinema to accommodate an old iphone as the cinema screen and add a projection room at the back.
