Imanol BB Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I don´t think so, i think that it could be just a prototype piece and that is why there are no sets that have it, and maybe someone just got an example of it and published it (which i think is the reason of why there is only 1 picture of the piece in the internet), but i don´t think that we will see this piece (or a similar one) in a while. letsbuild Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Alright, thank you for your help. Thanks, Let's Build Quote
zux Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I think this is a case of odd non-production part being added to catalogue. Could possibly being sold once or twice and that's it. Only causing confusion! Quote

User 1974 has quite a few pictures around EB showing parts like that and more and he describes them as prototypes. I wouldn't expect to find any quantities for sale, but if you have an interest in that kind of thing his pictureful posts are well worth searching out. Edited October 18, 2016 by bonox Quote
Mestari Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I have a question about pf motors. My daughter has a tendency to play with her duplo train and since recently with motorised car by Madoca I built for her "manually". Sometimes the car is on, sometimes off, but playing with remote is not always an option for her. The motor is then "driven" by her hand. Does it mean she can brake it? Quote

The motors can be broken if a lot of stress is put onto them, or if the motor has been forced too often, so I recommend not letting her push it around too much, though a little bit is okay. Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) I think the same as letsbuild, overriding and forcing the motors for long times can cause serious damage to them; but you could also solve this problem by creating a disengaging feature for the motors and the drivetrain, it would still have all the motors, but they would be disconnected from the drivetrain, that way your daughter can push the model as she wants without forcing the motors, and once she has finished with it, you can simply engage the motors to the drivetrain to use it as RC. nerdsforprez Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 So in a build I am working on I noticed a gear combination that probably is well-known and used often by others, but it was not in Sariel's online gear coupler and I haven't seen it used often in builds. The small turnable (28t) can be paired with the 20t gear. Quote

agrof Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) It is worth to check the new buildable figures from Star Wars line, they could be nice parts packs (http://brickset.com/sets/75120-1/K-2SO). Some new coloured parts are available, which can be great for MOCing, f.e.: http://brickset.com/parts/design-18654 Also this panel looks interesting, maybe for Technic supercar builds: http://brickset.com/parts/6160104 Edited October 22, 2016 by agrof grammar Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Nice discover, i think that the panel could work perfectly for turbine like builds, that curved shape could help in those cases and even in other builds. Quote

agrof Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) I know, but finally no need to buy a Porsche for those, who want them as new and also in dozens. Edit - for sunday: Edited October 23, 2016 by agrof Quote
Boulderer Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Great picture with the figure on the motorbike. Almost like they were designed with each other in mind ? Quote
Gnac Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) Looks like the new Architecture London Skyline set is going to have some interesting Technic bits in it: That IS a 7M flex axle in medium blue! Also 'scuse the horrible JPEG artifacts; these are NOT official images, but re-colours made from official sources. Sometimes those source images are heavily encoded and very grainy. Edited November 16, 2016 by Gnac Found a nice clean source image to make the white wishbone arm Quote
AkiyamaWataru Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Nice the wishbone arms return. They were first used in 42000. Atleast if i remember it correct. Quote

I like the wishbone part , especially because it resembles a real suspension of a vehicle much better than e.g. what we see in the 42056 rear suspension. It´s been used in many sets and particularly in the legendary F1 Silver Champion set #8458 from the year 2000. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=x136&v=1&in=S&srt=0&srtAsc=A&ov=Y Quote

Gnac Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) An obscure bulletin, but Dark Stone Grey double cross blocks* finally became available on Bricks and Pieces. It's great to have a chance to buy some once-rare parts for prices that aren't completely outrageous. There are still orange 11M beams available, also those green 3M beams that nobody noticed in the helipad of 42064. Some stuff you lot may have been wanting could be there too. Go see! * these things Edited November 17, 2016 by Gnac clarification on wot a double cross block is Quote

Samer Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Hi everybody. I came across the set "Hauler" from 2009. I want to build it but came across this unique part: My question is can I build the set without it or is it critical for some function? Quote
