Then there's the part @LvdHÂ suggested, or the combination I suggested, but if neither of those will work, I believe you'll have to look for some other solution. Of course you could cut a rigid hose (or 3L bar) to 2 module length and then use it with the clip part I mentioned, but that's modifying parts so purists will scoff at you. June 19, 2024Jun 19 Use a 2L bar with 2 tile 1x1 with clip. Cutting hoses used to be legal, before lego started making pre-cut hoses, the instructions required you to cut them. Im fairly sure that the new minifig prosthetic hand is basically a round 1x1 tile with a raised clip too, so try 2 of those if the 1x1 tiles dont work, or scroll thru the ldcad parts bin (do a search for: .) with the official and unofficial parts libraries installed. Something should turn up if you have an open mind and don't judge part capabilities too much. Edited August 2, 2024Aug 2 by SNIPE
June 19, 2024Jun 19 For context: I'm working on the hood for the Mini Zetros, and I wanna recreate the two bars/handles along the sides of the hood in the real vehicle. Â Â Part 2432 is too tall for the scale. Â Â Edited June 19, 2024Jun 19 by Ngoc Nguyen

This is a tight fit , probably too narrow to even get a tile in there because the panel is in the way. send the digital model and ill have a look Edited June 19, 2024Jun 19 by Milan Removed quoted text and images.

June 20, 2024Jun 20 Interesting. To make it more like original, maybe in the middle 2 of these could be fit
June 22, 2024Jun 22 Does anyone have a Studio file of a mini LA in which the cylinder is a separate part? I need my mini LA to have flexible lengths.

Search for Philo's parts packs on his website or on ldraw. You know we have a special page "Generic Building Help Topic" for these kind of inquiries or just make a separate thread for your Mini-Zetros project.

Since my questions are about parts I thought it's appropriate to post them in a thread about parts, no? Also the mini LAs are for the compact backhoe.
July 1, 2024Jul 1 July Technic parts update including McLaren P4, Kawasaki, orange Lambo, cheap lbg balloon tires and ultra expensive AMG F1 slicks etc. Edited July 1, 2024Jul 1 by R0Sch

How are they more expensive to produce than per gram than most panels? I also wonder (because the rule of manufacturing is the more you produce the cheaper each unit is) if TLG has ever revised the price of part down when the piece is used in more and more sets.Â

Many of the 42196 parts are available through PAB in USA. I think the photo above is just missing them. Did you search the set number to see what's available?

And with new parts, I mean those that were new in that color, were in out of production sets or actual new moulds. The actual orange parts are from the NEOM McLaren sets I believe. July 3, 2024Jul 3 Is this a "legal" connection? It's certainly doable in real parts, but it looks like colliding in Studio. If not, my alternative idea is something like this, with flick missiles, but I'd rather get something more compact.
July 3, 2024Jul 3 In 8843 (yellow and red pneumatic forklift), this kind of tread is inserted into a technic brick's pinhole, so it should be as well legal to insert it into a liftarm's pinhole. July 5, 2024Jul 5 Do the 12 and 20 tooth spur gears mesh differently than just using the double bevel versions in a spur configuration? Are the spur gears less likely to skip under high torque?

July 13, 2024Jul 13 Not surprised the shift drum is different, they don't seem to have highlighted that the orange one has its two shifts 180 degrees apart (same as the old orange shift piece) instead of 135 like the blue one. I think this makes it useful for an 8 speed gearbox where the blue one was meant for 6 speeds.
