so, the "shark fin" connector is the same angle as the #3 connector, not the #7

Here is a comparison between the unimog, 42110, and 42177 tyres:

Somebody on Flickr posted a 1977 prototype 48 tooth gear.

Very cool! What's with the hex profile around the axle hole?

That looks weird somehow.

But great part. I could have used this quite a few times. So far, 1 + 2 often did the trick but it had always been some a bit of a workaround.

Curious why it had to be used here. I'd assume the single set that has it now, is not really the reason for this part to exist.

A part number of 5565 feels like it was designed a long time ago, but perhaps never put into production.

A quick scan on BrickLink shows that none of the other bricks with holes aligned on the studs have adjacent numbers.

It's an obvious next step if they did design it as part of a family to 6541 and 32000.

I watched RacingBrick's video about the new reddish-orange off-roader with the new #7 angle connectors, and it looks like they're halfway between #2 and #3, although he did't measure it. That would mean the angle is 11.25 degrees (or 168.75 degrees, depending on which angle you measure). This would mean 32 connectors make a full circle.

I hope the connector will become available in more neutral colors. I think it can certainly come in handy in places.

A #7 connector? I need more info

I think the new 1x3 technic brick was created because either:

Its cheaper  than putting a 1x2+1x1 technic brick or three 1x1 technic bricks

Its stronger than the above assembl(ies)

It has more offset anti-studs (2) where as if you had the above assemblies then you would have 1 or 0 offset anti-studs.

I think one of the biggest advantages isn't in Technic builds but in smaller System builds where locking 1x1 and 1x2 Technic bricks together would add unwanted bulk. I could see this being particularly useful in microscale builds or for small brick-built characters.

Of course, it also has potential for lots of other uses—since a lot of Technic parts are odd-numbered lengths an odd-numbered length brick like that could just be more convenient for a lot of cases where you want to integrate System and Technic.

New inverted tapered panels

Looks like they are designed to mate with 4500 Technic Panel Curved 7 x 3 Inverted

I just finished the the new Mercedes 42177 and I'm finding these new wishbones and 12T clutch gear interesting. I wish I had a few more to mess around with.

The spacing of holes on the wishbone opens up possibilities for building really oversized suspensions but seems like the little ball hitch is going to limit it's utility.

Just got my P1, and saw this piece immediately. Perhaps interesting for someone to visually see the dimensions .

While the piece appears to be bent, the holes are actually completely in a straight line which I didn't realise at first.

That is what I needed @LvdH. Can you put it over 5 x 7 frame wuth daytona dufferential to see if it fits inside opening on wider side and move differential inside arm as much as it goes (not to rubb on it).

Thanks

Nice find! I guess the reviewers somehow missed that one? I do wonder if we will eventually get inverted versions of all the panels.
