I’ve tried ordering some of the new parts from the Ferrari, but all I got was a semi-official confirmation via mail that new parts are only available to purchase from Pick a Brick three months after release. Of course we’re now 4 months after the release date of the MCL36 McLaren, and none of the new parts are listed so we’ll have to wait and see if that’s any different for the McLaren.

Roughly translated email below:

Unfortunately it is not yet possible to order these parts from us.  New parts will not be available in Pick a Brick until 3 months after the launch date.  So you have to be patient for a while :).

Keep a close eye on it.  Hopefully these parts will be available to order on our Pick A Brick website from September.

Interesting video from Sariel:

Thanks for sharing. I knew the power puller tyres would do well but there are some surprising results here also. And gotta love those planetary reduction hubs for endless, non jerky torque! I've always found Lego tyres to be grippy enough for my uses though, it's always been the actual wheel dimensions that I battle with (truck tyres too wide to double up, not enough room inside the wheel etc. They seem to have made great progress with cars and motorbikes, especially the Ferrari wheels. But we're still missing good truck wheels.

Cam new in reddish brown in 71412.

Are those 3L liftarms in Tan above the cam pieces? I've been meaning to add some to any order on BrickLink since a while, but no luck yet, they seem pretty rare.

@msk6003 you are probably right, since AFAIK there is only this 4 x 4 tile (with 4 studs) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6179#T=C

But there are some with text or "graphics" on them...

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=tile 4x4 with#T=P&P=1

(There are 282 parts in that category)

Correct indeed, the duplo 2x2 tiles are 4x4 but they are 1 brick high.

When they were first released, I think one of the online reviewers said that the 3x19 frames were a 'game changer'. This feels a bit understated. I almost feel like I am cheating. My world is no longer 15M max, it's 19M.  :excited:

Ladies and gentlemen if someone of you is interested how to use wheel futuristic with portal axles hubs, or other hubs that have 3 pins, you can see my idea in this gallery. Just keep in mind that is a wide solution.

So far I didn't test it to see how it handles torque, but I think when using one L motor for drive it would be acceptable

wait, I meant 42129 tires

Xerion tires are on wheel futuristic, or as you said 8462 wheels and Zetros tires (42129) are on rims from buggy

I read reports saying the triangular parts are prone to crack, so they are best used doubled. This would make the belt wheel redundant. There seems enough room for this, given the portal hub.

Yes, but then you need to secure 1 x 2 beam with this parts in order not to fall apart.

...and use those thin beams:
