HallBricks Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Nope! It comes with V1. Are you sure? Thought LEGO didn't make V1 anymore. I ordered a replacement for my V1 about a year ago and got a V2. Quote

I have it myself an 42030. V2 was primarily developed to fit specific demands of the Crawlers (9398, 41999) PF setup (2L + 1 Servo) while V1 better fits the present set (1M + 1L + 1XL + 1 Servo) Edited July 25, 2016 by KamalMYafi Quote

suffocation Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Dumb question: are there any steering links other than 2739 and 2739b? A 4L or 5L link would be really welcome. I know part 15459 can be sometimes used but I don't find it very practical. Quote

I have already built the most robust connection as it seems to be possible, but I was wondering whether there are other parts than can be useful. I'm making some small portal axles, but gears without reinforcement from the both sides are slipping under very heavy load. However, it is still can be useful. What about using studded bricks? Yes, that is variant too, thanks. But, as I have said, I was wondering whether there are another parts with half-stud offset. I'm thinking of using studded brick to reinforce the portal. Could you change your design a little, looking at the pic, it appears your axle is offset from the kingpin, if you could move it over 1 and down half you would have the axle in line and you could use a 12 and 24 tooth gears to give the same ratio.
